Such good pizza. Like, better than most places we tried in Italy last summer good. Not many options for our son with food allergies but he had some chips and they were really good. The service was a bit lacking. The girls were nice just inattentive. They were more interested in chatting to each other. The restaurant is quite large compared to most we found in the city, as well as bright and airy. We still can’t figure out why Europe doesn’t cut their pizza or order pizza cutters. lol This place could sharpen their table knives for sure. We basically ended up ripping our pizzas apart.

If not the best, most definitely on top 3 pizza places in Edinburgh. I am not the first to say this, but worth to repeat it, as the people there are doing an amazing job to bring the experience on an authentic neapolitan pizza in the city. Following traditional techniques for pizza preparation and using a proper build up pizza oven makes the pizza in this place amazing!! Highly recommended and for sure try to make a reservation as may be challenging to find for walk-ins. note: in Jan 2023 the business was sold to a new owner. the expectation are that they will continue on the same high standards, but time will tell

We are Italians living in Edinburgh and we were so happy to find a pizzeria with an authentic oven. The taste is different. Bravo!

Beautifully made pizzas, absolutely delicious. We also had the doughnuts for dessert which were fresh from the fryer and absolutely heavenly. It was busy even on a weeknight, we were lucky to get a table. Definitely recommend booking ahead to guarantee availability. Staff were very helpful and accommodating to my access needs as a wheelchair user. Would happily return:)

Great place, had the special and it was one of the best pizzas I’ve had, friendly service and helpful. quality pizza and a nice cold pint for just over £20 great price :)

Came across this gem whilst trying to find somewhere to eat whilst away with work. Hadn't eaten all day and ended up having a fantastic pizza. Staff were attentive and the vibe was nice. Definitely visit!

Incredible pizza!!! Beautiful dough loads of good quality toppings it really is great pizza my only complaint is that its taken me 4 trips to Edinburgh to discover this place bit I will definitely be back for more. Great garlic bread too!

Amazing pizza! So glad we visited during our trip to Edinburgh. The pizza was delicious, beautiful base and great selection of toppings. Staff were friendly and efficient. It's a bit further out from the centre but worth travelling to for delicious, authentic pizza. Excellent value too.

Brilliant pizza. Probably the best I've had in Edinburgh. Just a nice spot too - a relaxed vibe, lovely clientele and service is on point. Has it been going for 100 years now?!!?! Long may it continue, regardless of whether or not this is a true fact.

The most amazing, life-altering, earth-shattering lasagna I’ve ever had. My grandmother is Italian, but this lasagna puts it to shame. The pizza was exquisite. Could not get enough even though I was full to the brim. Staff is also very kind and welcoming. Would absolutely recommend.

Great little pizzeria, with authentic pizza napoletana. The staff were excellent like the food, you must try the fritto misto as a starter, very good. The pizzas were excellent and we will return the next time we are in Edinburgh. Recommend reserving a table as if gets really busy.

Three of us went for a pizza and a bottle of wine and ended up having a tiramisu also. Went without a reservation although probably better if you book. The atmosphere is great with the Napoli football team as their style if you're a football fan it worth going here. Pizza were great. Staff very attentive.

Incredibly friendly and attentive staff - I could not fault the service. The pizzas were delicious and the quality of the ingredients was noticeable. I was spoilt for choice and was recommended a pizza with mortadela, pistachios and a ricotta stuffed crust. This is not what I would usually go for, but it was outstanding! A great choice indeed.

Such a yummy napoleon pizza, really relaxed friendly and warm atmosphere, like a family home, and feels authentically Italian. I loved that there were paintings and drawings, the artists being children, hung up!! Would come here again!

Oh wow this is some TASTY pizza. I actually had the gnocchi which was delicious and my boyfriend had pizza which I was extreeeemely jealous of and ate as much as I could get my hands on. The service is fun and friendly. It’s a very relaxed, casual, authentic place and great value for money. Little hint would be not to go here on a first date, it’s very light and bright 🥴

Great little cafe style pizzeria. Not had a base like it before, quite unique (in a good way). Really nice staff, friendly, helpful, and attentive. Lots of interesting variety on the menu and some really tasty combos. Absolutely worth a go. Up here for a few days, pop in. Up here longer, monthly visits!

One of the best pizzeria ever! Calamari were perfectly cooked and pizzas... oh god! That was another level. Such good materia prima: guanciale, tomato, ... I'll be back again soon!

This place blew my mind. The dough was stretchy and perfectly cooked. The sauce was fresh and sharp. The ingredients were so flavourful, I highly recommend the Maradona, all the meat was perfectly seasoned. The ambience of the restaurant was also very nice; it is always good to see an Italian restaurant full of Italians! And thank God the music was not too loud. The service was very good, they let us order even though the kitchen was about to close. The waitress was very kind to us - even at the end of her shift. Will certainly return; I think this is the best pizza, and pizza place in Edinburgh!

Good place to just sit, eat, and enjoy a slice at your own pace. A relaxed dining experience. Sat for close to 3 hours with colleagues and stopped ordering about halfway and never got asked to leave or handed a check. Just chilled!

Recommended by Italian people, Pizzeria 1926 truly serves the good quality of pizza not so far from Haymarket station. The pizza we order that day was Natan 3 with mozzarella, rocket and salad. The flavour is nice. The maradona with tomato, salami meatball and sausage would be perfect for meat lover. The star that steals the show for me is the calamari which is very huge appetizer. Golden colour with light battered allow me to taste the freshness of this type of squid. You might feel almost full from the beginning. I need to take away half of my pizza. There are other toppings for pizza to try even the pasta. The staff is generally nice. Please look for the itison coupon as well which would elevate the savviness for your mealdeal . PS. It could be very crowded and fully booked so make sure you book the table is advance especially the weekends.

Really nice Italian atmosphere, service was great and the pizzas were spot on. I also had the bruschetta which was great as well, definitely recommend it

The food is good although a little expensive for what it is, and having to pay an extra tip without warning us or choosing the amount is surprised not very pleasant.

The food was amazing, we ordered a vegetarian pizza and one with meat. The portion size was huge, it can be easily shared with someone. They have many vegetarian options. The tiramisu was average. The only thing that I didn’t like was the service, as soon as we sat down the server asked is if we wanted something to drink, I had not even got the chance to look at the menu. I asked for more time and they dropped by again to take food orders after 5 minutes or so while I was still looking at the menu, I felt rushed. Mind you we had made reservations for this place, before we were even seated at our table we were told we had the table for 1.5 hours. All this kind of ruined the experience, we went there for our anniversary dinner, we had mentioned that on our reservation. When you are going out to eat you don’t want to be rushed, rather you want to enjoy the food. Although, I do appreciate that while paying the bill they didn’t automatically add the 10% service charge which many other restaurants are doing these days, instead they asked us if we wanted to pay with the service charge but we declined as it was not good at all. I would probably get takeaway next time.

Good pizza with nice fresh ingredients, however was a bit sloppy and not as crispy on the bottom as I would have thought and there was probably to much portioning of ingredients on the pizza could have been a lot less on top of it. Other than that was a very nice pizza, is clearly a popular place people were in and out all the time 👍

Reason for not giving 5 stars is because we couldn't get seated even though they had 5 open tables. Came in at 5 pm and said we needed reservation. So if you are coming here make sure you make one. Staff is very friendly and pizza was outstanding!!! We did take out and Worth it. Got taxi back to hotel to enjoy it!

I'm going to be harsh since they claim they're bringing a taste of Naples. The toppings are actl fine, but the crust isn't up to standard. It's soggy below and the circumference wasn't flavourful nor was the texture right However for a neighbourhood joint they're definitely decent

Used to be the best Neapolitan pizza in Edinburgh. Sadly they no longer make the dough properly. It has no air, is dense rather than chewy and has less flavour. Definitely no longer authentic as corners cut.

We tried 2 different pizza. Ospina with Parma ham and mozzarella was delicious - very fresh ingredient. However, the Maradona with salami, beef steak and pork sausage was a bit watery and made the dough soggy in the middle. That was too much stuff for a Neapolitan pizza, and the meat tasted a bit bland. The dough itself got a nice Neapolitan crust, so go for those simpler options and you will have a more enjoyable pizza.

Service was great, but my pizza wanted for something. The cheese was super uneven giving me many bites of soggy tomato bread. It was also so loud I couldn't hear the person across the table from me. Overall it was a fun time but I am not sure I'd hurry back

Not a very good experience, as the place has gone very much downhill. We ordered one starter which we got after the main course. This place used to be the best pizza place in Edinburgh, but after it changed ownership the food is at best very substandard - half cold pizzas with so-called meatballs that looked liked mice meat broken up into lumps that didn’t have much taste. The pizza doe was tasteless and suggy with no crispyness to it at all. An extremely disappointing experience.

The worst experience I have ever in my life! Look at the Pizza and imagine how many stars deserve this restaurant! We ordered 3 pizzas and couldn't even finish one! Will not recommend to anyone

Ordered a pizza at 8pm to my hotel, Leonardo Hotel which is literally 8 walking minutes from the pizzeria. Decided for delivery because it was raining. The only time to pick for the delivery was 9pm which is already a stretch honestly but so be it, was hoping it might arrive even before that. 9pm comes I check the status of the pizza, says ETA 9:10pm. Okay delays happen despite having ordered an hour ago. I'll wait 10min, delivery time keeps shifting to later timepoints, the location of the driver doesnt move an inch. I call the driver doesnt pick up. I call the restauramt they tell me its not their responsibility its the drivers responsibility they handed it over to the driver. So you gladly take my money but whether the product arrives is not your responsibility? Call up the driver again after another 10min and he says he's on the way. Only then the location of him starts changing, how come? 9:30pm pizza arrives complelty cold. Your restaurant is literally 2 driving minutes aways and it takes you 90min to bring a pizza to a customer...
