The service was great, that’s why I come all the way out here to the one in Richmond, then I go back home to Berkeley. I like their food, but sometime they lack the consistency which is disappointing. Since its a franchise they maintain this place clean and better. This is not a Chinese cuisine but more of Americanized Chinese food with sugars. Staffs are friendly and attentive. Overall its worth the price and quality.

Above average buffet-style Chinese fare. Had kung pao chicken and orange chicken. However, fried rice lacks flavor, better labeled as dyed rice. I'll get plain rice next time and shave a few calories.

In terms of the food here, it's Panda Express. Kind of standard. However, the staff are always helpful and hard working. Not bad if you're feeling like eating Chinese fast-food.

For the most part, the food at this Panda Express is fairly fresh and not sitting there all day. The servers who work there have been there for a number of years and they are fast and efficient.

I have loved Panda Express for a while and I would go there with my friends every time we hung out. I now dont like it because one time I got sick from a mystery meat in the orange chicken. But that is a risk you take for eating fast food...

Figured it was a new chef. Now second time but this time I ordered food for me and family, yet portions felt small, paid $1.50 extra for shrimp yet got 4 and 5 pieces (requested 2 servings). The extra two show again eggplant low and mushroom chicken low. I should have opened and checked the order before leaving but they said these were fresh so I waited on the side while the plates got put together. I’m not going to drive back to complain but I’ll definitely be keeping a closer eye on portions if I decide to come again in the future. It’s a shame, love Chinese food and this Panda is close to my work.

I used to come here 3-5/week. After today, never again. This location has continually taken longer and longer. I primarily use the app to order and it used to work to get food on time, 10-15 min. Over the last few months, this has increased to today's record of 50+ min. The + is because for the second time, I just left without getting food I paid for. So who knows when it finally got done. Part of the problem is that the staff doesn't consistently acknowledge the pick-up line at all, with food waiting 15 min on the pick-up shelf before it finally gets handed off because they're just ignoring or serving one person in the pick-up line at a time instead of either calling out names on the order or going through the line. As wait times have gotten longer, serving sizes have gotten smaller. A combination that means I'm staying away. If only the Richmond location could prepare its food right, but looks like I'm out of decent local options.

The portions are tiny! The server was so stingy. I paid for a large entree and only got 4 tea spoons of rice. Ended up spending a lot, could’ve had a better deal at a formal Asian restaurant.

I truly hope they consider bringing back skilled cooks who can bring real Chinese flavor back to the menu.

Why is this location of Panda Express so stingy with their portions? Serving small scoops of each dish.I noticed it’s not just one server but every server serves small portions. I’m wondering if it’s the manager to blame.

I will never go to this location ever again I ordered a 3 item plate .When I asked for half and half rice chowmein she looked annoyed and gave me extra small portions .I also ordered the fire shrimp and got a total of three shrimps .Waited in line a good five minutes while the cashier and the lady in front of me discussed her job I'm standing there looking at my plate while it got cold whole they yapped and laughed like they didn't have a case in the world....I will NEVER go to this dirty location again this experience makes me not want to ever go to a pandas again .

Never will I return here. Today I found a short n' curly in my chow mein -after I put the bite in my mouth. Soon as it hit my lip I felt it, grabbed it and as soon as I saw what it was, I freaked and shook it off my fingers. After the initial horror, I looked on the floor for it, found it, and brought it and the plate up front. The young individual working the register offered me a new plate, and apologized. I got a new plate, fried rice instead, and even though that was hours ago, I still can't bring myself to eat it. Considering what I found in the noodles, it's safe to say it was put there deliberately by someone who just shouldn't work with people and/or food. Just saying. Tainted food, in exchange for more tainted food? Nope.

If there were negative stars they would have received them. The service is very poor and I believe it is due to my race. I consistently experience poor service at EVERY Panda Express which is why I refuse to any longer patronize the Panda Express establishments.

Extremely stingy location, I ordered a bowl and they tried to give me half a scoop of chicken on top of a huge heap of rice. I was so unimpressed by this obvious disdain for the customer I canceled my order and left.

What happened to the express part of the name? 5 staff and one one person fulfilling orders. Disappointing! If you're looking for something quick try somewhere else.

How could you not do what a person is asking for, if I said I want a bigger plate with chow Mein and white rice on the side half and half but put the white rice as a dish okay that got corrected, next personi asked for mainly broccoli with a little meat on top and teriyaki chicken in the plate why would you put the side dish on the plate orange chicken and think you can make my teriyaki chicken my side.. cashier’s was slow as heck the line was backed up waiting for people to pay.. I just left them with the messed up order..

The quality of the food is terrible - dry, undercooked. Unfortunately not the first time, not even the second. Either their kitchen equipment isn't working correctly, or their cooks are cutting corners. I also regurly eat at the Antioch location and it's 1000x better. Not spending my money at the El Cerrito Plaza location again.

One of the worst locations I have ever been to. Every single time I have come here they have no entrees available over 30 minutes before they close. Why be open until 9:30pm if you have literally nothing available after 8:45pm?? I will never be coming back, change your hours or actually serve your customers who are coming in while you’re open

The quality of service is problematic. I've found that some staff members are unprofessional and arrogant. Sometimes they are ignorant to customers' requests and change what they ask for, and seems very impatient if asked to correct their mistakes. I personally feel this is really offending to customers and makes people unhappy.

I ordered a bowl with white rice and string bean chicken and the woman serving me put one scoop on it, saw that there was literally no chicken on there, and didn’t care at all. The beans were also not cooked enough and very hard. Would not recommend. Should be advertised as just beans. Edit: the fortune cookie didn’t have a note in it. Not a pleasant experience.

Excellent place to watch homeless dig through the trash and shower in the soda fountain while the staff stand around doing nothing. Oh and don’t try to buy a panda crafted beverage for the price on the menu, because they’ll tell you it’s “wrong” and charge you $3.40 instead of $2.90

Second time I ordered the same thing but, I want them to put it in separate boxes. The lady looked liked she had a attitude about it. She gave me a medium box of steam white rice and a small box of eggplant tofu that had 3 pieces of eggplant and 3 pieces of tofu. After this I'm never coming back to Panda Express again.
