Good place to go for lunch, food was great, and service was good. Was kinda a problem finding the front door. Will be back.

Such an amazing time, highly recommend. We had a group in town for an event and this was a perfect dinner destination. Large tables for groups, friendly staff and delicious food. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food and drinks.

Combination fajitas were delicious! Also asked for the spicy green salsa.

We had the Molcajete Plato Azteca for two it has beef chicken, nopal, Chile Verde, avocado inside a Molcajete which is a stone bowl used for grinding food. I believe the sauce is grinded in it before putting all the other food. It is 😋 delicious. I highly recommend it.

Guillermo’s is a-mazing. We love it here, even my fussy grandparents liked it. From the service to the salsas and chips (they come warm) to the food, of course. Very professional and very tasty. Plates range from about $16-$22, so be prepared for that. You can find cheaper places in the desert, but we keeeep on coming back to Guillermo’s. Get the molcajate.

Guillermo's Restaurante – Mexican Food Review I just had the ribeye steak taco, and the flavor was absolutely awesome—rich, savory, and perfectly seasoned. I sat outside and enjoyed the meal with the beautiful weather. Great food and a relaxing atmosphere made for a perfect dining experience.

Guillermo’s was recommended to us and couldn’t have been a better find! Guillermo visited with us and treated us like family. Food was phenomenal and white rice was a pleasant surprise!

Went to Guillermo’s before a work trip wanting some good authentic Mexican food and margs, and WOW did it deliver. The margaritas were perfect and large, the chips and salsa was perfect, and both of our entrees were tender and seasoned to PERFECTION! Also, the glassware and dishes at this place are STUNNING! Will definitely come back.

Nice restaurant with excellent service. A lot of unique menu items that are delicious. My only issue is that they ran out of several items, so a couple of us had to change our sekections.

Amazing experience! The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. The skinny margarita and tres leches cake is a MUST! This is the place to go for authentic central Mexican food!

Great place for a wonderful lunch, freshly made! The service is great and the margarita mix is made daily.

WOW...what a great restuarant! We found Guillermo's by accident. We were craving good mexican food after an afternoon of shopping at the mall and Guillermo's was right across the street. Wonderful atmosphere, great wait staff and fantastic food that goes way beyond your traditional "American" mexican fare...their food is truly traditional and authentic! EVERYTHING we had was absolutely fantastic! Every item on their menu in made in-house, with the freshest of ingredients; cooked with the healthiest food, oils & spices. Wonderful! Not to be missed! Oh yeah...and they have happy hour and a great bar...

Amazing family owned Mexican restaurant! If I could give this place 6 stars I would. All of the food and salsa was fresh and so flavorful. If you're in the Palm Desert area and need a good Mexican restaurant, this is your spot. Fellow vegetarian foodies, make SURE you try the calabacitas (zucchini) dinner dish made with Oaxaca cheese & seasoned with cilantro. I've never had a zucchini forward dish prepared so well. FLAVOR FLAVOR FLAVOR! Everything was cooked to perfection and came out QUICK. The carne asada was packed with flavor and not dry at all. Portions were perfect. Servers are attentive and responsive. The owner came out to greet the tables with a friendly smile :) Would definitely recommend every time

Never been to this restaurant! Pleasant greetings and efficient service. The chicken enchiladas were delicious and Guillermo's margaritas amazing! We will be back.. (4 star on atmosphere - AC worked great, clean, basic setting. Nothing crazy, just basic which is fine).

Best Mexican food I have had in the desert. They spend the money to do it right. Fresh ingredients, hand made salsas, sweet and sour, etc. excellent margaritas and tequilas. This place is a step above all other Mexican restaurants.

Great place to take the family out for dinner. The food was good and the service was excellent. The portions were good. Its a little pricey but I was not disappointed. Its a Mexican style food with an American twist. Kinda reminds me of El Torito Mexican restaurant. I had the Ribeye steak, my wife had the chicken taquitos. The steak was delicious and cooked perfectly. The wife in the other hand said the taquitos were soggy and not crunchy like others she has had.

When I walked into the restaurant I immediately felt welcome. The service was amazing and the staff was so kind. They made it feel like we were apart of the family. After a short waiting period, the food showed up and we were all suprised on the level of detail and taste of the food. By far the best Mexican food I have ever had. This place was so good, my family had to return a couple days later and see if it was the same. With no suprise this time, the food was amazing again and the service was even better. I absolutely loved this place. I will make it my mission to return to this amazing establishment when I return to the city.

M

Top notch! Friendly service. Chips were amazing, salsa is super fresh, margaritas are quality. Tamales and puerco con salsa verde were both delicious. Figured everything was so good I had to do the très leche even if I was full. No regrets.

Guillermo's delivers the most delicious Mexican food around! Hands down. Every time we're in town, we make it a point to visit. Everything was sheer perfection including the Boss Margaritas!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Adam Approved ✅ Guillermo’s is the real deal. The fajitas came out sizzling hot — perfectly seasoned chicken with peppers and onions that were just as good as the meat. Big portions, tons of flavor, and their Guillermo’s Margarita is a must-have. Great spot to kick back, enjoy good food, and strong drinks. 100% Adam Approved.

Some great Mexican food. You can tell it’s good when they bring out warm chips and salsa to start you off! Great carnitas tacos, and really good margaritas….we had five people here and one said their meal wasn’t as flavorful as he would like, but you can’t please everyone…large place and super friendly people here!

This family owned operation is making the best Mexican food. The chips are homemade, warm, super tasty and great house made salsa. Ate here two nights in a row, not normal. Their chili verde is awesome. Chicken enchiladas in rojo sauce (red sauce) is awesome! Sauces are made in house and are..amazing. Met fun characters sitting at the bar. Two thumbs up for the main bartender, what a good guy. Can sit inside or outside, nice environment.

5 Stars! Service is impeccable! My daughter dropped her fork and a new clean one arrived by the staff in about 3 seconds. The Margheritas are delicious! Their house chips and salsa was great. The salsa was warm and I've never had warm salsa but I liked it. I ordered the vegetarian fajitas they were very yummy. Everyone was satisfied with their meal. The service was on top of everything. Honestly, it was an amazing night out with family and we had a wonderful time!

I have eaten at Guillermo’s many times and always look forward to returning. The restaurant is comfortable and gives you the feeling that you are in a restaurant somewhere in Mexico. It is a family owned and family run restaurant that prides itself on not only good food, but excellent service. You get both while dining here, sitting there sipping on your favorite beverage enjoying chips and freshly made salsa, waiting for your dinner. Guillermo’s is normally busy, so reservations are recommended. The menu provides you with many difficult choices as to what feast you will enjoy for the evening. No matter what your choice the food will be delicious. So if you are looking for good Mexican food with a comfortable, festive atmosphere, I would highly recommend Guillermo’s.

We've been coming to the area for 15 yrs, sorry we never ran across this place before. It was delicious. We had the Carnitas Plate and a Shrimp Dish, Margaritas were great. Carnitas were on point, tender and full of flavor. Regular Salsa was OK but we like it hot and ask for hotter. Their spicy green salsa was perfect.

First time going to this place totally on a whim and based on quick (one minute) search on internet and google map ratings. BOY were we surprised and in a good way. Apparently they typically close for the summer & they took over an adjacent space recently so they’re doing this semi open summer menu gig to see how it works out. Not a whole lot of seating but don’t be dismayed, Mario behind the bar will take care of you. HE IS AWESOME and his drinks are DA BOMB 💣! Food is pretty spectacular as well,, carnitas fajitas were wicked good (wife who loves steak fajitas felt my carnitas were way better than her steak and she will order carnitas there from now on).. the kids chicken strips order is expensive ($15!!) but you get your moneys worth.. just can’t say enough good things about this place,, it’s awesome.

We had dinner here for the first time with friends. The salsa, guacamole and chips were really good as was my drink. The enchiladas were rather bland though — still edible. Service was really good. Fast forward to this season and we are really enjoying the enchiladas — along with everything else!

Guillermo's makes my favorite margaritas and carne asada enchilada with green sauce. I love the beautiful glassware they use for their drinks and their plates are so special. Love Guillermo's! Best make a reservation, I usually go for lunch but dinner gets filled up fast, so I recommend making a reservation for that.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the desert…the quality of the food is exceptional. The house margarita is great (not too sweet and generous portion). We had a shrimp special, the zucchini in cilantro sauce and the tortilla soup. Atmosphere is nice and the tablecloths and hand painted dishes added to the ambiance. It is on the pricey side for Mexican ($26-$29 for an entree) but it’s a great spot to eat.

Hotel recommended we try it - and it did not disappoint. Food was incredible. The bean dip was fire - along with chips & salsa (and guac). I had chicken enchiladas verdes and I cleaned my plate dry. Everyone else did too (chicken an shrimp fajitas). Margaritas were flowing. Met Guillermo (and his son was our waiter). He’s had it for 22 years. I left to go back home to NJ today and my 3 friends who stayed went back for a second night in a row. With all the places to go for meals around here while at a work conference, it speaks volumes that they went back a second time the next day. I love everything about this place. Thank you for a memorable meal Guillermo, Stephen and team!

My husband and I just had a wonderful dinner at Guillermo’s and experienced the best freshly made authentic Mexican food. The guacamole was amazing and the salsa was perfectly made. The service was friendly, welcoming and timely. I would highly recommend this restaurant and plan to go there often while we are in town.

If you are looking for an incredible meal in Palm Springs, look no further than Guillermo’s. This was hands-down the best dining experience of our entire week-long trip. The Food: The flavors here are absolutely outstanding. They managed to hit ranges on our palates that we haven’t experienced before, every bite was a surprise. It is rare to find a kitchen that balances flavors so perfectly. The quality is so high that the food truly speaks for itself. The Service: We were running late for our reservation and ended up being the last party in the restaurant, but the staff couldn't have been kinder. We never felt rushed; instead, we were treated with genuine hospitality and warmth. The Value: Compared to other high-priced spots in town, Guillermo’s delivered a life-changing food experience at a fantastic value. It is a perfect restaurant run by people who clearly care about their craft. Final Verdict: Please, do yourself a favor and come here. It was the highlight of our vacation and we cannot recommend it highly enough!

First use here i have got to say, its was just right in every way. The staff was professional, we had Eric, and he did his job very well, something my wife and I pay close attention to as it is part of the atmosphere. The drinks were made well, I had a michelada, and she had a mimosa. (No complaints) The salsa was fresh, we knew on first bite, not too salty either. Guacamole was made well, and she is picky on that. I ordered the Mole, and I can say how happy I was with it, she Had the carne asada, and the steak was cooked to perfection. The portions were just rite, not too little not too much. We both cook a lot and have spoiled taste buds, for the first time in a long time we had NOTHING to complain about at a restaurant. Even the music was correct and at the rite volume.

Let's cheer for the carnitas! The waiter recommended it. Three of the four of us had it and we all agreed it was superb! Our waiter was great too: friendly, fun, helpful. It is a large place and we sat outside on the relatively small patio. Since our view was of the parking lot, the seating was OK, though not scenic. All considered, I would say it is my new favorite for Mexican cuisine here in the Coachella Valley.

I have had a lot of friends recommend this restaurant, so we decided to try it out the other day. I have to say I was a little disappointed. The food was good, but nothing spectacular. We were seated up against what appears to be an abandoned bar that they no longer use with foot traffic going past us all the time. The rest of the dining room was empty, but they insisted on sitting there. The wait staff was very attentive, but I don't think it warrants the value in the pricing that they want for their dishes. We had the carne asada plate, and the chili relleno. The carne asada plate was just flap meat. Again, it was good, but not great. The chili relleno was better than normal, but you can't order it with any other options like tacos or enchiladas. And to reiterate, the food is good, not great. Atmosphere was pretty "run of the mill".

Tacos not a lot of flavor just meat you have to add salsa and guac for flavor. We had empty glasses before he asked if we wanted more should never have to ask they were empty.... Very small amount of guac and beans on plate also ordered chicken burrito and asked for all dark meat or wasn't they mixed it!

First great menu selection, not your run of the mill Mexican. My wife had spicy snapper and it was so tender and flavorful. I had Pork Chili Verde, did not disappoint either. Had great service except no water service, odd. Great booze selection.

Food was excellent. Server Alan was excellent. Service from host team was frustrating. Zero effort at planning in advance for our table requests. Reason for low atmosphere is we were given the worst location, right next to a busy pathway for the servers and right next to the servers station for banging a silverware, etc. Very disappointing. Maybe Opentable customers aren't prioritized???

We're growing more & more disjointed with Guillermo's Restaurante based on our past two visits. We had intended on a nice dinner after shopping. We went to order a glass of wine and were told we could only purchase wines by the bottle. We both drink a different wine and didn't want a bottle, we simply wanted a glass or two. So we gave up on that and just drank table-water. The salsa that came with chips and salsa tasted like tomato soup. Big disappointment. We both ordered carne asada. It was probably the poorest presentation of a meal that we've ever had in the valley, but I will concede that it actually tasted pretty good. They only brought one order of tortillas to split between out two meals. The guacamole, all you could taste was lime. They've traditiallny had the best guack in the valley. At that point we weren't going to tempt fate and order dessert or order an after dinner drink. I think the staff was probably glad to see us go. We took some friends last spring, they'd heard so much good about the food and dining experaince, and by the time we were done, we were kind of embarrassed for taking them to Guillermos. We are sad to see the decline but hopeful reviews like ours can help get them back on track.
