Excellent food and service, with a smile! Our waiter tonight was also doubling as the bartender and did a great job. Now the waitress, that's another story. Just glad when she wasn't around the area much. Will be back!
Do to everyone getting back to business... They were low on staff. You would expect the service to be bad ... But I'm here to tell you their was one young lady did not get her name . But she work that thing she didn't miss not one table in our area . With a smile but focused on her service. And that was rare . And that was my first time visiting a friend and myself followed the GPS. For Mexican food in the area. And I'm glad we did
Always delicious. Great service. Great ambiance. The location is probably the only reason why this restaurant isn't more packed. It's kind of hidden away.
We eat in and take out regularly. Always get friendly service. They never mind hooking us up with extra chips and salsa for the takeout. Highly recommended.
Had a great time with friends and family. Drinks stayed filled, the steak nachos were delicious. The cheese dip is different from other Mexican restaurants, in a good way. I believe it's made with jalapenos! Not usually a fan of jalapenos, but this cheese dip is made perfectly. Love it! The owner is friendly and welcoming.
I usually order with a family, so getting every detail of an order correct is appreciated. They knocked it out of the park. Food was delicious, fairly priced, and the portions are huge. Tons of flavor. I also really liked the staff. Great stuff. Eat here.
We love this little hole on the wall Mexican restaurant! The service is Great! We've eaten here so many times and never have we had a bad experience! On 9/11/2021 our server was Mario. Very inviting and caring! You wont be disappointed! Thanks Mario!
Great Tex Margarita. Frozen was my choice and will get again. Mario provided Great customer service. 👌 Haven't tried enough of the food items yet in order to give it a 5. Stay tuned! Did try chilaquiles, and although chicken meat was of good quality and taste, chilaquiles were more like nachos piled up. Not bad, but not a true chilaquiles dish.
New Ownership makes a difference!! Absolutely best place for quality Mexican food and drinks! Management and waiters really made it a great experience for me and my family. I recommend coming in and getting a taste of the new flavor here! Well worth your time!! We will be back soon!
Guillermo is the sugar honey ice tea! The staff the manager the crowd are all familiar faces and the food is soooooo freagin delicious!!!!! Margaritas always delicious!! SERVICE ALWAYS EXCELLENT!!!!!! Food never ever disappoints!!! You are definitely at home coming here. Not just with staff but from the patrons too. The staff always remembers you and always remember your favorites. Ate there yesterday after a 3 month hiatus- why did our waitress remember me and my friends favorite dishes (TEARS OF JOY). The are wonderful and truly “family”. You will not be disappointed by them ever. If you are... you may be having a bad day or something. Just saying. CHECK THEM OUT NOW!!!!!
My Fav Mexican restaurant. Their meats are so tasty, juicy and well prepared/cooked that I can honestly say it's my number one to go to since I moved to the area. My kids love it and the waitresses and service is good and amicable. Very affordable! Highly recommend it!
This is my FAVORITE Mexican restaurant. Eddie is our server. He's the best!! Makes you feel at home. The fried fish tacos are so good and the margarona drink is my favorite! It will get you right! It's big though. My hubby and I usually share it.
Really good. Parking is plentiful, the decor/atmosphere is very nice. Service is good too. The menu is pretty standard. Chips and salsa are excellent. One of the better Mexican restaurants I've eaten at in this area.
We go every Monday. Never a bad meal.Carlos, owner,is always around, making cetain things are running perfectly. The wait staff is incredible, friendly & knowledgeable .Portions are a great amount too.
This was our first time here. We went for Cinco de Mayo. The food was delicious, the salsa was a little spicy, but who cares because the drinks were on point.🤣🤣🤣 We will definitely be back!! Sorry..... no pics again 😕 but we had a time that night🤣🤣🤣
My first time at this spot. The spinach dip was delicious. Although, they were busy we got our food in a timely manner.
The food was really good. We had a steak quesadilla, cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. It was probably one of the best quesadillas I've ever had. I will be back to try the other options. Our server was very nice and patient. She made suggestions and was all around wonderful!
This is my first time venturing out to this kind of restaurant since the pandemic began. I used to come here all the time. Sara made my experience great. She allowed me to sit way in the back to enjoy my meal. She confirmed that around 3:00 is a good time to come. I so needed to get out today, and my experience was wonderful, Covid conscious as I am. Thank you for this outing. 💚
Service was fantastic, they brought out (obviously super fresh) super hot plates, and placed it on the far side of the table away from the toddler's hands. Traveling through with two small dogs, we were also able to have our dogs on the patio, very dog-friendly. After calling 5 other Mexican restaurants with outdoor seating which were not dog-friendly, the first staff we encountered said definitively "we love dogs." The food was good and very filling, and the drinks strong. All of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We don't travel this way often, but are marking this location for future road trips.
AMAZING service and food. Had our food out and hot within 20 minutes of our seating and ordering. Incredibly fast service, incredible food. We had Joceline as our server. Cannot express how great she was! She was the absolute BEST. Would recommend this restaurant to absolutely any and everyone. Make sure to ask for Joceline!
This restaurant has great food and awesome staff. They spoke to me with kindness and answered any questions I had. I had the Tacos De Carne Asada and it was definitely filling. I definitely got full, I couldn't even finish the chips I was given but the service and atmosphere were great.
This was my first time eating here and I went with my Mom and we both loved it! The food was beyond excellent and our waitress was fantastic! We will definitely be back to eat here again!
This is my personal favorite Mexican restaurant! I've been going here for over ten years and it's always consistent! They have the best salsa. I love putting it on their fajitas. Everyone I take agrees with me, except those weirdos who think cilantro tastes like soap haha
Great salsa, and their signature dishes are the best
Great service. Everything came out fast.
I had been to this location before some years ago. The previous visit was very "meh", not bad but nothing surprising. The wife and I went in today and were quite astounded at the turn around. The food was exceptional, serving sizes are generous. The salsa is good and the food was better. The drinks were very well made, had a margarita and she had a colada that were perfect. Highly recommended and if you haven't been in a while give them another go.
The food here is excellent and so is the service. And the price was excellent even with margaritas soft drinks dinner and appetizer it was only about $20 per person. Everything was well done and the sauces were excellent the queso appetizer with chorizo was to die for. A great experience.
On Father’s Day, we had a horrible experience at a different restaurant and El Reposo saved the day! Sophia was an amazing server. She was so kind and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious and drinks were top notch. I am so thankful there are still businesses that care about their customers having an enjoyable dining experience. I will definitely be back here!
El Reposo is a great place to take a group and is one of our family's favorite Fayetteville restaurants. They offer dining inside or outside (weather depending) and often have live music. Pre pare for an amazing treat if you order the Molcajete Grande from the El Reposo Specials on the menu. It is well worth the price and you will NOT be disappointed! Just make sure to share it with someone - it's a ton of food!! Please click the >> 👍 << below to LIKE this review if you found it helpful😊✔ #mexicanrestaurant #⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ #delicious #datenight #letsguide
We are regulars. Wednesday night is music bingo from 6:30 to 8:30. Great fun! Food is always fast, fresh and authentic. I am not a fan of the refried beans though. Black beans are much better. They have a really good pomegranate margarita too.
Oh this a must go to restaurant.. food is excellent and great service
Beautiful establishment. They were playing classic old style Mexican balads. Great portion of food for the lunch menu. I got the grill chicken and rice, I wish the chicken had a little more favor but it was good.
I’ve been here many times on and off in the last nine years and it’s always been consistent. Sara about two weeks ago was our server and she was on point with everything. I came here with my cousins today and again everything was on point.
I cant tell you enough how much I truly enjoy this place! They have AMAZING FOOD!!! I have been here about 7x and I always eat so good and enjoy myself and forget to give them their much deserved review. They have great service, the drinks are on point, the atmosphere is clean, I mean just a hit every time. I have tried different options each time and they were all great. This time I had the smothered shrimp, my mom had the mojante or something like that cant recall! But man, food is amazing. Also had the prickly pear margarita and that's so good! Highly recommend 👌🏾
I had lunch here yesterday 04/12/2025 around 1pm with a friend. We were seated immediately and our waitress was so sweet and made us the most delicious margaritas. I had a mango margarita even though it was not listed on the menu and my friend had a blackberry margarita. We both had Texas fajita quesadillas and shared a small guacamole dip. Everything was delicious from the thin and crispy chips to the delicious salsa to the fantastic guacamole and food. I also ordered some Carne Asada tacos to go for my boyfriend and he really enjoyed them. The steak had very good flavor. I haven’t eaten here in several years but I will definitely be back soon!
Every week my work friends meet for dinner.. Don't sleep on this place! The drinks were amazing. Pineapple margaritas... Omg.. So delicious..we tried the watermelon and strawberry too... I had the tilapia chalapa..not exactly what I was hoping for but everything else was great.. We will definitely be back..
********Update as of 2/25/22 *************** The service was good. Service was professional. Food was hot and as ordered **********This is an update!!! *************** 2/25/22*** This is my all time favorite!!! But Not going well!!!! Just look at the pic I posted today!!! The food quality has gone down tremendously!! The plate was full with cooking oil under my food. The chips had cooking oil on top of them and the other item was burned and they served it burned. I did mot ask for blackened anything. I’m so upset.. guess I have to find a new favorite spot. This is the second time it was horrible. Had to review it this time…
Good classic Mexican place. Only down side it not having enough waiters or waitresses so sometimes you wait longer bc they have so many tables. But the food is good!
We like to get the Texas Fajitas her for lunch. They have shrimp, steak, and chicken in them. This visit was still very good but something was missing from the flavor. I have no idea what was missing but it had to be a spice. We will keep going back but we do hope they get that get that great fajita flavor back.
It was pretty good. Chips were light and crunchy and salsa had a slight smoky flavor and was actually mild. I had chicken enchiladas. Came out hot lettuce fresh etc. Lacked a little flavor or something was just a bit off. Service was great but the basic margarita was pretty basic. Plan to go back.
Sara is the best server. The food has been very hit or miss lately. Sometimes it's fresh and well spiced and sometimes it's dry, overcooked, and bland. Usually sticking to the cheaper menu items gets a better result.
I noticed this place as I was just curious driving through the shopping center to see what they all had. Came in today with my family and I have to say…it was really quaint. Nice little restaurant, small Bar and patio but super cozy. The weather was nice and no one was on the patio so my family and I decided to take the patio. They were a bit slow (5-7 minutes) to come to my table for a drink order and to bring menus but our server “Shirley” was absolutely wonderful. We also noticed they must not have someone to bus and help clean because even though the patio was empty when we arrived their was a former patrons table that had dirty plates and food still sitting on a table that didn’t get cleaned. We also noticed when we sat down the floor had not been swept up because their was several pieces of paper from the napkins and straws on the floor. I order the pork tacos and the pork was under seasoned and a bit dry which tells me it wasn’t made soon. Seemed to be pulled pork that was made days ago. But the onions, sauce and cillantro were great! My husband and girls ordered the Texas fajitas for two and let me tell ya….the shrimp were amazing, peppers and onions were good and the meat was ok (i.e. chicken and steak). I was hoping for the meat to be a little more seasoned or cooked with some butter. Anywhoo….Chips were wonderful. Queso is a must! So good. And I had the strawberry 🍓 Margarita with a sugar rim. Was hoping for more of the rock sugar but the fine white sugar did fine too. We will be back.
Quick and delicious food at a great price point! Love coming here for a fast lunch. Only complaint I have are the margaritas - consistently WAY too strong, but some would say that's a good thing!
My husband and I had lunch here on a Friday. The service was fast, but our waitress seemed very rushed even though there weren't a ton of customers at 2:30 pm. The food was great though the music was rather loud.
We had a reservation for our large party. It started off shaky as we were ignored for several minutes at the door. Several staff members approached the hostess' stand and were standing at the computer by the door. The bartender (who became our waitress) came from behind the bar.....and seated AND waited on our party. We had a wonderful time. Our waitress, Ms. Aided, was kind and patient, all while she worked her heiney off. There were 40 of us, including about 20 hungry, impatient, growing teens, and she was our only server. She had someone help her to bring a few meals to the table. Ms. Aided also covered the bar and other tables. Ms. Aided's head was spinning, and she was visibly exhausted, yet she managed to maintain her beautiful demeanor and kind smile. I wish El Reposo had more staff that night and more help for her. People were going behind the bar getting their own drinks off tap. I worked alongside Ms. Aided as I ran back and forth to help her bring plates and silverware, figure out orders, refill drinks, and sort out payments. Her service was great. El Reposo is a nice relaxed restaurant however, needs help.
Just had lunch at this location, my server was Sara! Food was deliciouso and service was excellent. Sara was very vibrant and authentic nothing more to ask for. Drinks and food were great. I will dine here again for sure if I am in the area! Thanks again...
Decent place. Service was attentive, just not our kind of Mexican. Lots of people there. If you want to get a decent parking spot, either go early or later. During prime meal times lot is full from the complex they are in.
I enjoyed myself at this restaurant the other day. The staff was great & our server checked in frequently. The food was pretty tasty. I do wish that they gave more rice, as they literally gave me a scoop. I didn’t quite enjoy the beans, but I’m not big on beans, so that might be a me thing. The others I came with really did enjoy their food, & the price was great. It came up to a bit over $60 for 3 adults. Overall, I had a good experience & I’d return when in the area.
In Fayetteville across the street from Piedmont Hospital. Nice little place for a quick lunch, not so authentic, more like Chipotle food if you like that kind of food. Quick service, nice ppl.
Service was great, she got everything right and was timely. But. Something was off in the kitchen or they just cook this way all the time, but the appetizer chips were very greasy, soggy, chewy, tough. And the items that were in fried corn tortillas were also very soggy and tough. The flavors and the food were good, just not the fried items. The chorizo queso dip was delicious as hell though. I would try it again just to see if it was a bad day, the stuff was quite tasty.
My first time in this restaurant but i did not like me because the food is not good and the noise and music with his DJ is so bad! Definitely this isn't a Mexican restaurant!
Use to love this place. Unfortunately, have seen the quality of cleanliness decrease over the years. The last 2 visits the women restroom was absolutely filthy (You know what they say if the restroom is filthy, everything else is filthy). Last time the final straw was seeing the kitchen cook some out of the ladies room without washing her hands, literally straight out of the stall back to the kitchen. When I reported to management, I was told she didn’t wash her hands in the bathroom because there is a sink in the kitchen. Also, no more drink specials which is one of the things I enjoyed.
It is very upsetting to order for pickup, give a 30% tip and when you get there to pickup your food everybody ignores you. Should I just go look through all the orders and leave, should I inform someone that I’m here to pickup my order. No idea cause nothing is clearly marked and I’m not one to just grab and leave without saying something. It’s bad customer service to ignore someone standing at your reception area for 10 minutes patiently waiting. It’s only obvious that the person is waiting for someone to come up to them. It could be an important question or to simply pickup their food, but either way it’s bad customer service to repetitively ignore them while tending to everybody else. Probably won’t come back after this experience. This happened between 6:45 - 7:05pm on 11/14/23. Extremely disappointing!
My first time here and I went in to pick up an online order and waited about 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged after several servers made eye contact with me. A sever just so happen to walk by the host stand and asked if I’d been help and told me to go to the bar. I stood there about another 5 minutes before I literally had to run after a server who then finally gave me my order. I understand it was a busy lunch rush but come on! I definitely regret leaving a tip.
Service was horrible!!! When we walked in the young lady told us to seat ourselves. We headed towards the left when you first walk in and all 4 tables were dirty. We then head to a different area and my God-Sister had to still wipe something out of her seat. Before we could sit down she was literally asking us what we wanted to drink. We were like "can we sit down first, give us a minute." She gave us time, we ordered drinks and then she gave us time to decide on our meal. The only thing is, she was no where to be found. She was present, but not paying us any attention. We waited an extremely long time for her to acknowledge us again and take our food order. You might be thinking we'll, maybe they were short staffed and the answer is "NO.". She had a lot of time to sit and talk to other staffers and talk on her phone. Plus, this was Superbowl Sunday and there were not many customers at all. To sum it up, after going through all of that, the food was just ok. Won't be returning.
The food was very disappointing. I ordered smothered shrimp, and the cheese sauce was watery. Everything was soggy and tasteless. My friend's tacos were greasy. Cocktails were tasteless too. Chips and salsa were fair. Not a good experience. Our waiter was very nice and took excellent care of us.
We gave yall one last try but it will be our final time. The food was terrible and the service was worse. You have been our go to mexican restaurant but the past 6 months it has completely gone downhill.
Unfortunately, food quality is not that great. Chips & Salsa are good, but other items are lacking in flavor and quality. They need more & better people working in the kitchen and not two people standing by the entrance to seat people.
I had never been here before as I don't live in the area, but it was suggested to me to go. I was excited because I love spanish food. To start, the salsa was some of the worst I've ever had. It tasted like spicy tomato water. My chimicangas were good, as was the rice, but it seemed like the portions were quite small for dinner. I liked the rice but my two companions did not. My friend who ordered enchiladas said she did not like them. Overall, we won't be going back.
My boyfriend and I went here on a Friday night before the movies. Location: The restaurant is small inside but inside of a plaza with more shops and restaurants. When its packed you will sit close together. Parking: It's in a plaza so there is plenty of parking Service: The service was good, we waited for about 7 minutes for seating, and after we ordered and waited 10-15 minutes for food. We did not have to make reservations. Our server was nice, but due to being busy -- we only saw her a couple of times which was fine because it was date night Ambience/Crowd: Casual family atmosphere Food/Drink: 4/10 for food -- I had a chimichanga and beans with rice and my bf had chicken nachos, there was no flavor. Will I be back? Umm I would come back but I am not rushing to get there. Nice staff but the food was not that good
ZERO! Today was the last day of chemo for my 31 year old daughter. Made a reservation for celebration after chemo. Came to restaurant at 1 and told the Manager we would have 14 people. Came back to restaurant to decorate the area. Told the Manager that chemo was running late and it would be after 6. Went to pick daughter up from chemo. Returned to restaurant with 14 people and our decorated area was filled with people dining. Needless to say this was very upsetting. We had planned a big celebration and the Manager said he could not hold our tables. Why? He knew I had the entire area and each table decorated for our celebration. Was he concerned he wouldn’t make his money? Seriously? With 14 people he was guaranteed to make more with us. Shame on the owner. Imagine the look on my daughter’s face after spending the last six month doing chemotherapy and today she was at the hospital the entire day and we tell her we have a celebration planned. STOP and think twice before you dine at this restaurant.
I’ve frequent this place many times but I must say the last 3 visits have been terrible with customer service. I’ve placed orders and upon arriving home discovered missing items such as missing tortilla shells and under cooked shrimp. When I reached out to the owner, he told me I would receive %50 off on my next visit of the same order. I returned a week later and asked for the owner explaining who I was and he changed his offer to 20%off. That’s terrible customer service because he told me one thing over the phone and when I returned it was a different story. On another occasion7/29/2020 I visited and the server was not attentive at all we ordered lemonade and was given sweet tea and ordered fajitas but was missing beans and tortilla’s. I also ordered a Margarita on this visit and upon checking out told the waiter to put the alcoholic beverage on one ticket and everything else on another. He then put everything on one card and management had to straighten everything out. Despite everything we went through I left a $2 tip on the table even though his service was terrible. I got home later that night and discovered the waiter took an additional $5 off my card for a tip which is stealing. I contacted management again spoke to Guillermo and was told when I come back in I would receive my $5 back. So today 9/11/2020, I decided to give El Reposo one more try. I ordered lunch and spoke to Guillermo about the situation that took place on 7/29/2020. He looked at and said that was a long time ago, took my payment and walked away. I thought for sure he would honor what he said and give me my money back or discount my food for the $5 but he didn’t. He returned my debit card and slip for me to sign and walked away again. I won’t be returning to this establishment and advise you to take classes on good customer service and management should honor their word.
I've been here a few times and loved it. My last visit not so much. My family and I stood up front waiting to be acknowledged at the least, after 10 minutes a waitress looks at us and said someone will help you in a minute after another 5 minutes we walked out. There were 3 employee's standing by the bar 15 feet from us chatting it up while we stood there waiting.
This places service used to be top of the line with service. But, service is extremely horrible now. A few weeks ago I waited 30 minutes to receive a menu and a drink and then 15 minutes to take my order and afterwards the food came out fairly quickly and then it took 20 minutes to get my food paid for. After that experience I gave it another 2 weeks and so today I went it and sat for 15 minutes with no drink served to me or menu given. I will not be returning ever again. Not a lot of people were there and there's no excuse for passing me 15 or more times and not asking what I'd like to drink and give a menu. This place probably won't last much longer running this business this poorly.
Walked in to get margaritas and chips and guacamole for an afternoon Snack. At least 1/3 of the tables were not cleared with dirty dishes and old food. Very unappetizing. No one greeted us. No staff on the floor but all were sitting at tables talking and using their phones. No management supervision at all. Will not be returning.
Customers beware....we were always loyal customers at El Reposo until 3 years ago when I got a parasite from a bad order of Fajitas. Bathrooms had no soap and servers not washing their hands. We talked to the owner who said it was impossible then an employee walks out of the bathroom with no soap and straight to a customer table. Fast forward to today and my wife and a friend decide to give them another chance. They arrive and get their chips and salsa and there is a rubber band in the salsa. The owner did not have courtesy to come to the table to acknowledge the incident. When ask about it on the way out he said it happens... no apologies. We then said he lost a customer and he replied That's how he wants it!! Makes you wonder when you go to a restaurant with a sign on the door that reads All sales final!!
Not a welcoming environment.. (Replying to the owner) Apparently, I wasn't the only one who had an unwelcoming experience with your restaurant because I actually "didn't make pass the door" and didn't like the fact that I wasn't acknowledged by your staff. Thanks for proving my point! Make all your customers feel welcome!
This was my 1st and last visit to this restaurant. We weren't there 10min and the manager walked over to our table and told us that if we're going get chips and dip then we would have to pay for them. My wife was in awwe and felt very disrespected! We planned to get something small but also order drinks. I felt that was very rude. I don't know if it's because we are African American, as the restaurant had predominantly Caucasian guests at the time of our visit. I've never been treated like that. We were also with our two young daughters which made them feel very uncomfortable.
El reposo more like El incompetente! Average food with rude, disrespectful no class employees and management! Low class would be a compliment! PAID for 3 enchiladas received 2! PAID for steak tacos, received mystery meat! PAID for queso dip and went on a quest to the bathroom with the grease and oil dripping out of the container! If you like to pay for food and service and receive neither in return during record inflation, this is the spot! ALL OF MY RECEIPTS CHECK OUT!
Im Mexican and as a Hispanic I’m very disappointed in this place. I’m sad to see my waiter pull out a bottle of horchata and service it to me I’m blown away .. management please do better you want arthritic Mexican food this is not the place
HORRIBLE!!!! NO STARS!!!! Just left El Reposo Fayetteville ordered 2 Texas Nachos togo..I get home to find this!!! The tops were not even closed..the sauce all in the bottom of the bag. I called to speak to the Manager he asked what do I want he to do. I replied what do you recommend. In the interim I said I come by tomorrow or later in the week for a replacement. He replied that he'd need for me to bring the product back. I asked how do you plan to compensate me for my time, gas for their poor preparation/packaging. He then just hung up..
