Yummy food n great customer service.

The service has been excellent!!! Attentive wait staff. The food is good. I go once a week for build your own omelet sausage n cheddar. Pancakes with soften butter and on a larger plate. Can anyone tell me why ihop serves their Pancakes on a small plate with hard butter?

My daughter and I showed up at 10am the day after Christmas and it was only half full. By 11am there were 20 people lined up at the door. I'm glad we best the rush! Well, IHOP delivers a pretty good breakfast in a timely manner. I've always had a decent meal at this Elk Grove location. Just a little pricey though, as with my cutomary 20% tip, the total for two came to $30. I wish it was about $6 to $8 less expensive, then it would be great value. Our server was attentive and pleasant. Overall 8 out of 10 experience.

The steakburgers here are on par to what's available at Denny's. What's different is that you can get two buttermilk pancakes as a no-cost side option here (along with french fries, onion rings, fresh fruit, hash browns or side salad). At Denny's, two buttermilk pancakes with your hamburger are $2 extra.

This location was fast. Did not receive a warm welcome at the front, but the waiter made up for it with the warm welcome. The ordering and receiving food wait time was pretty quick. But we didn't see the waiter again after the food came. Until the check.

Met some friends there for brunch. My first time here. It was a very nice ihop.

Surprisingly no wait time at all, I guess I was lucky to be seated as soon as I entered the door. Our server Tonny (not sure if I spelled her name right) was amazing, super friendly and courteous. The food was delicious, the swiss mocha coffee was super good. The prices are appropriate for the food quantity and quality. The place was clean and comfortable. I will come again.

I order T-bone steak and big steak omelette. All are good but we more like the big steak omelette.

I love IHOP. I'm there at least once a month, but usually more than that. When traveling I will always try to find a location along my route and have breakfast regardless of the time of day. My food is ready pretty quickly and I've never had to send it back to the kitchen. The staff is quick, efficient, and most importantly friendly with a ready smile.

It's a tradition for the kids and I to come here every year for my mom's passing anniversary... This was her favorite place. Rest in paradise, mom... The menu has expanded through out the years to include lunch and dinner type of foods like steak and an assortment of hamburgers. The cheeseburger was cooked well and tasted really good. We also had their milkshake which was pretty awesome. My kids decided to get breakfast type of foods like the famous Rootie Tootie Fresh n Frootie pancakes. Customer service is really good too.

Came in on Thursday morning. It was busy. The whole staff had such amazing customer service. Manager helping seat and take out food. Everything was great. Food was delicious. Erick is one heck of a server. IHOP made a great hire with him! Definitely returning!

Good IHOP with a bathroom with a old urinal. The food was delicious 😋😋, the staff were friendly with cool iPads, and the atmosphere was good except there's bathroom smell.

I had stopped coming here for weeks. Everything was bad from the food to the management. But the family decided for IHOP. Atmosphere is so different. I noticed 2 female managers and 1 was helping take food to the tables. We received our food hot this time and service was better. I sure hope it remains this way! We need hot food and good service here! Overall it was a pleasant visit this time.

Our breakfast was delicious and our server Yasim was awesome. She smelled beautifully, was friendly, and had amazing skin. I pray God blesses her always. Awesome food, the restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly and good. Had ordered hash browns on the side, and it wasn't worth it.. extremely small portion and was way over cooked; so add-ons are not worth it (only complaint). Peak times the wait times long so on weekend mornings get there early. Overall, it's a great experience and definitely worth going to

Excellent service! I had Laryngitis so my partner had to order for me, and upon briefly hearing of my illness the server offered me hot water with honey and lemon. After I took a few sips of it I was already feeling better! Very kind people, and surprisingly decent burritos👍

We had a great dinner tonight. My wife ordered a bacon hamburger and fries. She said the handburger was very tasty and the French fries were extra crunchy. I had the spinach and mushroom omelet with three pancakes on the side. The pancakes were just what I expected, light, airy and very good. The real surprise was the omelet. It was a very healthy portion with plenty of spinach and mushrooms, but it had an absolutely delicious Hollandaise Sauce over the top and a light sprinkling of cheese. My wife shared some of it and concurred. The servicer was very attentive and had a great sense of humor. It is ironic. IHOP was not our first choice, but it was better than many of the places we have visited lately and we will be back again soon.

A little birthday surprise. Free confettii pancakes for my birthday. Nice and hot and they provided all the utensils in an expedition manner. The staff was on the ball. They were hustling big time..

This is one of my "Go To" destinations for Sunday Breakfast. The service is top notch and the food is always great. It's always busy, but you are also always treated like family. They are very accommodating to special requests and they check up on you after you've started eating to make sure all is well.

Went at a good time wasn't much people inside on a weekend which was fine by us. Food was good, service was good as well. Our server was very nice. What more can i say.

Ordered for carside pickup. When I got there the manager brought it out sans sandwich. They didn't have the type of meat to make the sandwich my son ordered. But the guy made it right by allowing my son to select an alternate menu item and he got it done fast! even gave us a milkshake. Thanks for going the extra mile!

Hidden gem the burgers are worth eating. It's over looked by breakfast foods but I'd recommend the cowboy burger add Jalapeños.

Christmas morning, the place was packed! I've never seen so many to-go orders lined up! Kat our waitress was amazing and the food came out good! The only thing that irritated me was when we put our name on the waitlist, Scarlett the hostess didn't even bother calling in the other room to the seven or eight people waiting there, so when I went and checked on our spot she said "oh I already called you" and I said there's a bunch of people in this other room waiting.... she was probably overwhelmed there were so many people there but the only way to get through that is taking it head-on girlfriend and get these people in and out!!

I had a burger on this visit and it was really delicious. Burgers are my favorite food so I know a good burger. Their fries were great too. They also had all you could drink soft drinks. My server kept the drinks coming. Everyone with me left satisfied.

It was my first time to stop at this place and I have no complaints. The food was good and on time and the waiter "Jamie" was very helpful

The food, the service is actually pretty good. I always get the chocolate pancakes, hash browns, sausages. But the prices have increased super high. I still go, because they are good. But prices have gone up. You can see as this place was always packed and now it has been on decline. Is it there fault, economy, you be the judge.

Decided to have breakfast for dinner. We usually never have any issues, but that night my hashbrowns were burnt, my pancakes a little over cooked, my husbands chicken tenders extra crispy. We didnt let anyone know because we just wanted to eat and leave, but this store is usually pretty good and i bet they would have remade it if we asked. Would i go again? Yes i would.

Went in over the weekend. My table was sat quickly. Service was ok nothing outstanding but rather normal. Server was not rude just looked like she didn’t want to be there. New manager in the building. Introduced herself and was going around. It was nice to actually see a manager here. I will come back again hopefully I see some improvement now with an actual manager

While they made a couple of minor mistakes with our order, it was not a big deal at all, and they handled everything professionally. My friend and I visited this restaurant this morning and, overall, had a good dining experience. The restaurant is conveniently located in Elk Grove, CA on E. Stockton Blvd., parking is somewhat limited, the outside of the restaurant and outside grounds are visually appealing, the inside of the restaurant is okay, but needs to be renovated, etc., and cleaned better, I was not greeted upon entering or thanked for visiting the restaurant upon leaving, our table was clean, our server was efficient but not too friendly, the food was good and served within 10 minutes of ordering, the temperature in the dining room was adequately warm on a cold morning, and prices for food were reasonable.

Kinda sucked. I pre-ordered online and went in to pick up. I got home to feed my kids and it became clear that there was no syrup for the pancakes nor utensils of any sort. As well as, I ordered the strawberry crepes; however, no strawberries....just plain. Just wanted a good breakfast for my babies 😒🤬

Food was hot and tastey but slow to come out (45mins) despite only having 4-5 other tables. The customer service used to make me feel good about eating here. Todays service was very casual, like I was sitting at a friends house.. not a good thing if your paying restaurant prices. Small things like making eye contact when your speaking to someone can go a long way in terms of non-verbal communication. Walking the patron to their seat instead of describing where they can sit. Your tone of voice matters..I noticed the host used a softer tone with the older patrons..that was sweet..but inconsistencies in tone can be misconstrued as a difference in opinion of your patrons or a diff level quality in service. I love IHOP..our family eats here pretty often. I will be back..I hope my next experience is better.

Food was of course delicious but service was not. My server was not polite from the beginning. He was rushing us into ordering a drink that my little boy had to replace with a milkshake because they ran out of ice-cream. After he got our order, never came back. Someone else brought our food and I asked for tobacco sauce and they never brought it. When I was ready to pay, it took my server about 20 minutes to come to the register. I saw lots of employees so I don't think that was the problem.

Once we were seated and served, the food was very good.😍 But before then we were told our wait would be thirty minutes. After 25 minutes I went in for an update and was told 30-45 minutes more because they only had 4 servers. June is graduation season, in your next door neighboring city of Sacramento. Next year try to prepare for it. And how more staff. 🥴 Thank you.

Food not bad but a bit pricey,I will give them 6 stars for service I was impressed our waitress was an attractive Latina young lady full figured but very very nice ,attentive and professional I have to describe the individual but I forgot her name and when I feel that an establishment has a bad or great employee I let it be known! P.S. I forgot one more detail or practice that they should stop immediately "we got our bill of what we ordered way before we got our food so that was bad...

3/4 is free pancake day. The pancakes are okay and each person can get a free stack today. The drinks felt overpriced because there wasn’t anything special about them. The pancakes were not very tasty in my opinion and our kids complained about them. The service was good which is why they get 3 stars.

Nothing was well and truly horrible. Service was just Okay, i dont judge a waiter on quality of food, thays a kitchen issue. But levaing water glasses empty and not checking on your tabel, i judge for. The food was mediocre, pancakes were just okay. Hashbrowns were just mediocre. None of the food tasted bad. But some of the food seemed to be missing any real flavor. For the $30 for breakfast for two, i could have had a better experience at mcdonalds.

At the register when paying for our meal the lady hit the tip button before handing the tablet to my husband to sign and finish paying for the meal. I thought that was not professional!

Pretty much what’s expected of IHOP except for the pancakes I guess. The waiter was friendly and always attended to any asks we had. He was also quick in bringing the order to the table. We ordered Oreo milkshake and the extra milkshake was offered in a mixer tumbler which I think I haven’t seen anywhere else I have been to except for IHOP. It was sufficient for two of us. We were most disappointed by the pancakes though. They weren’t very tasty, it felt like they were undercooked/powdery. Hopefully it was a one time thing.

Placed an online order this morning, Jan. 26, 2022 for curbside. Called to let them know I was there. On hold for 5 minutes. Went inside the store. The man at the register went to the back to get my order. I said, I ordered curbside because I didn't want to come in. His response was I don't know, my phone didn't ring. Then I showed him my phone and I was still on hold after 6 minutes. All he could say was he didn't know what happened. That's a sorry excuse! I will NOT be going back!!

Food was like expected. Service was mediocre. We felt a bit invisible as the server wasn't really present much. Bathrooms were filthy and disgusting. One of the stalls was clogged with toilet paper and the other one had half toilet seat covers shoved in the empty seat cover holder.

Pancakes were horrid and not buttermilk like advertised. While meal was over cooked or cold. Had to send it back, and the replacement was still nasty and cold. Pancakes wouldn't even melt the butter. The server was sweet and nice, but it seemed like she really didn't have a clue what she was doing.

The service was very slow and not very professional and the food was unappealing. Took us about 10 minutes to be seated even though there were many empty tables and not many customers. No employees bothered to check the lobby and see that there were a few customers waiting to be seated. Once seated, the wait was very slow and took forever to get our food. Had to ask for water 3 times before we finally got some. The food was very plain and unnapealing. My bacon was burned, the eggs overcooked and there was a piece of toast missing from my plate with no explanation as to why it was missing. My daughter's pancakes were very plain and our utensils seemed grimy and had spots. Did not make me feel as if they do a good job in terms of cleanliness. To top everything off, it was $40 for two less than satisfying breakfasts. Won't be back to this establishment.

Food was ok 2 other ppl in my group got the steak asked for medium rare and it was well done the coffee was burnt made them feel sick off of 1 cup and the server was nice but went MIA during half of our time being there won’t be going to this one again 😕

#IHOP @ihop order#5078 on 7/17/2022 Online Curbside order. Food came out at time estimated. After reviewing order was missing some condiments, called to ask for them to be brought out. After 4 minutes on hold, no answer. Entered the restaurant while still on hold to find three employees at the front just standing around chit chatting. (It was not busy and no customers in lobby) Asked to speak to manager, put phone on speaker, still on hold and no one answering. Manager claimed they have a new phone system and they "don't monitor the phones like in real life." Really? Your a business, of course you should monitor your phones, especially when it is not busy and there are 3 employees standing around. If you can't manage curbside pick up, don't offer it. @IHOP, you don't have to take my word for it, watch your tapes. Not recommend, not returning.

Avoid this place like the plague. The service was abysmal, only saw the waitress to be seated, order then she brought the check. The food was possible cooked in a culinary school for people that failed culinary school. I would have been worried about getting sick but I dont think food poison would lower itself to coming here. Honestly the best thing going for this location is how close the freeway is so you can get away from it faster.

The food was horrible. I think the cook boiled my t-bone steak. It had no taste or even steak qualities. The toast was overcook and dried out. The overeasy eggs had the white undercooked. And worst of all no one was on duty not a manager a supervisor or even a shift lead to fix the problem. So I had to buy a second dinner from another restaurant to have actual food and not garbage my dogs wouldn't touch for dinner.

Place looked nice, but it was totally bad they didn’t had anything, we would ask for drinks they didn’t had not even lemonade or KETCHUP. Excuse was that the whole pandemic was affecting them when that’s something so simple to find. Food was taste less no flavor. They took so long and they took our order wrong, they also ran out of pancakes!! The orange juice was all watery. BAD EXPERIENCE!!

The worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant, by far. I understand there are many factors including covid but this was bad. It took 15 minutes for someone to come to our table to get our drink order, drinks were brought out with food 30 minutes after our order. They were out of lemons, jelly for the toast, most of the syrups, salt, and ketchup. We ordered omelettes and all three were undercooked with shredded cheese on top that was not at all melted. My omelette contained brown avocado and my mother’s had very little bacon. Strange....as she ordered the bacon temptation omelette... the toast was hard and dry, they were unable to provide extra butter. The iced tea tasted terrible. Asked for crispy hash downs and received cold soft hash browns instead....need I say more?

Semi busy morning that increased in traffic as we ate. We sat down, and our server was attentive at first, coming by often to check on us for orders and drinks. After the orders and drinks, we only saw her when she delivered food or the bill. All the orders came out at different times. All the orders were wrong and some charged wrong. Pancakes were like cardboard, they were also somehow extremely crumbly as well. One member of my party ate half of one pancake and didn't finish. When my order finally came out, it didn't have everything, and they said they were cooking the rest of it. When 'the rest of it' came out, it was burnt and super crispy. Ordered sourdough toast. Got one packet of strawberry jam with 4 pieces of UNBUTTERED toast. Almost as dry as the pancakes. Tried the Cinnamon bites desert when i ordered everything else. One of them had cinnamon on it. Others were Plain. Never saw the waitress to inform her of the problems. Ate the food anyway because we were hungry and good luck getting to talk to someone. I don't know if I ever want to go to an IHOP anywhere again the whole experience was that bad.

The waitress was very nice and friendly. She attended to my family well and was very present. My mother's food was excellent and had no issues. However, mine made me sick beyond sick. I didn't even finish it nor make it out of the restaurant before running to the bathroom to vomit. It was absolutely an awful experience. It seems that the cheese sauce within the omelette was expired. Then instead of the manager, who was notified of the situation, taking the meal off the bill, she left it own and asked if I wanted it to go. WHY WOULD I WANT TO TAKE THE FOOD THAT MADE ME SICK TO-GO? I will never be returning to this location again. Even as I type this I am still having intense stomach pains. AVOID AT ALL COST!!

Had a bad experience for the second time. My family and I went to eat at this ihop on a Friday morning. It looked a little busy, not too bad. The hostess told us 20 mins. So we decided to wait. 30 mins later, we still haven’t been called. My sister asked the hostess how much longer and she said 20 mins. When my sister told the hostess you told us 20 mins at first and it’s already been 30 mins and now you’re saying another 20 mins?! The hostess seemed unfazed and just said you have to wait longer. My sister looked at the hostess book and a lot of names under hers were already crossed off. We overheard the family sitting next to us say they were told the same thing. They made new plans and left to eat at Denny’s. We were deciding what to do when the hostess come up to us and says, we’re getting your table ready in 2 mins. So we decided to stay. Another 10 mins later, we were seated. The waitress was amazing though. She quickly took our order and brought out drinks. Overall, after waiting to be seated, ordering and getting the food took 2 hours. I would not have minded waiting longer for our table if the hostess was honest from the beginning. You cant just tell people 20 mins and then 30 mins later say oh you have to wait another 2 mins. All the while letting people be seated after us on the list. And then all of a sudden the table is ready in 2 mins. Not going back.

A staff member named Vivian was running front of house this afternoon, she openly rolled her eyes at us when we asked for a table of 3. She told us it'd be a 15-20 minute wait, which was fine with us. We waited outside on the bench for 30 minutes, checked back with her to see if we would be seated soon. She had the audacity to repeatedly tell us we were never on the list because we never asked to be put on the list. This is after 30 minutes of her walking in and out of the waiting areas to call the names of other waiting customers, where she would've seen us sitting and waiting. I spoke to Shawn, the manager, on the phone and he sounded pleasant and understanding. Told me he'd check out the list, speak to her, and call us back. He did not call us back. I've been going to IHOP since I was a kid and this is the worst customer service I've ever had from them. Not worth my time or money to come back to this location.

This is one of slowest restaurants in service i am waiting here for door dash order from 40 minutes to update none of staff is helping we get paid per offer not for time we wait ridiculous i am also customer alway face this issue

If you are vegetarian or Muslim, please do not go to this restaurant. I ordered an omelette today and asked them not to use any meat for me. There was a small piece of baken in my order and I asked them to change my order and in the second order it was a small piece of meat. The waiter's behavior was very rude and the woman spoke to us very disrespectfull

Just left the restaurant after an awful experience, if I could give this less than one star, I would. Hardly checked on, cold food, asked if I wanted my cold food re-heated or remade? What kind of question is that? The manager comped the meal, but continued to invite us back after we made it very clear that will not be happening. We were trying to justify why the service and food would be so awful by the pandemic and blah blah blah but the manager shut that down and said they were staffed and fine. So what was the reason behind this? On top of all of this, the place was boiling hot. Save your time and money. Do not go to IHOP.

Typically our go to spot, but went in today and felt like we were intentionally set in the back while all other guest set up closer and waited 18 minutes for both servers in the area to walk past us, never acknowledge us, and never came to help us. Don’t think we will be returning ever again. The supervisor was nice enough to apologize and asked if we wanted to try again, but we declined.

I just picked up my order, waited an hour, not only was it not ready when I got there(I even arrived 10 minutes late by accident) but they gave my order to someone else. Without letting me know I waited there another 20 minutes letting them know I was on a time crunch. Which is why I order early. I asked again about my order to find out they gave it someone else and had to wait another 20 minutes. The host are rude and just gossip right in front of the guest waiting.. I work in food service so i know how it is sometimes but this place sucks. I asked to speak to a manager but the host didn’t get one so I just had to sit there waiting again for my food and now late for my appointment.

Ordered on door dash. Ordered 3 meals to my work place. No condiments no utensils. One meal was pancakes only. So we're basically eating bread by it self. Makes sense right? Spend 8 bucks for 3 slices of bread. As person who been in the restaurant industry for 13 years. This by far is the worst service possible.

I usually come in with family but early this morning I decided to bring my fiance to eat breakfast with me, this place has great customer service. Only problem I had today was we were profiled, I'm not sure why they thought I were not going to pay or participate in a dine and dash as they call it; everything was fine up until our food arrived I noticed the food wasn't as good as it usually looks but I paid no mind and thought ok maybe it's just me. The eggs were undercooked and full of oil as well as the bacon my drink that I ordered was water down but I didn't have any ice as if they poured half juice and half water. This place was always good to me and my family, I'm not a picky eater either. It's just very upsetting how we were served as if the waiter told someone that we weren't going to pay so they messed up our entire order because he didn't even let me pay a tip like he knew our service was disgusting and went and just charged us for our meal . Very disappointed and insulted even the IHOP on the worse part of town would never treat us this way. Wouldn't recommend if your coming with friends or anyone at the very least.

The coffee was cold, the food was cold, and the service was slow. We had to ask for our toast, which was so cold that the butter wouldn't melt on it. Besides that...

Management should be ashamed of themselves. If you can't pay your employees a living wage, you don't deserve to keep your doors open and are a failed business. Lying to customers to guilt them into tipping more is deplorable and pathetic.

They don’t cook my steak good they give me a raw one and I tell the waiter to cook it for me and the waiter said no so I will not eat at this restaurant again

Went there, nobody at the front desk. One waiter came in to hand out a bag for a customer leaving and did not even bother to ask if I needed something to me or the other customers behind me. Looking into the floor, it clearly looked under staffed at the floor and the kitchen. Did not even stay to see if somebody came to the front desk and at some point wait forever to get a terrible service and long waiting time.
