Always tables available before 8pm a light wait maybe 20 minutes. Sports bar feel flat screen Tv's and music with and far less people. Big fun and free parking.

I spent a few hours here with some friends for a birthday. Evidently you can rent the space in the back, and combined with being able to purchase food and drinks for large parties and the big screen TV, we had a great time playing Super Smash Brothers.

Oh, is this a pool hall? Oh yeh. now I get the name, broken rack. I've been to a bunch of crusty smokey old pool halls and been to some hoity-toity ones -- this is neither -- the Broken Rack is a neighborhood place fit for anyone over 21. Nice bar, laid-back atmosphere, classy but not pretentious. I think they may have WiFi but not sure, I always see people on their laptops, so you get a signal from somewhere... Anyway, good spot for lunch under a protected atrium so you can get all the sun but none of the wind that blows through the breezeway. This is a nice clean place, plenty of pool tables, but really it's close to my work so I go there for lunch and drinks. They have a nice selection of beers on tap. Guinness, RedHook ESB, NewCastle, Sam Addams, Pyramid, Stella, Bear Republic, FatTire, etc. What, that's not enough? They have lots of beers in bottles too, bud select, bud light, Anchor Steam, and all that.. Decent prices and yeah, it opens at 11:30 so no breakfast or early starters, but c'mon let's not forget its a pool hall. Atmosphere? Oh yeaaah! There's a bunch of old jazz types hanging out, man it reminds me of what the good ol days must have been like back in the '40s and '50s but I am not that old. The barmaid/waitress is cute, excellent service and speaking of racks.. oops no never mind.. the other guys that work there are totally cool too. It's got much the rapport of a English pub and the bartenders are your mates that have known you for years. Go to Broken Rack, eat food, drink stuff, play pool. Worth every penny.

Waitstaff and crew were the sweetest. Super jovial. Got us the "date table" and we had a great time. Will definitely be coming back .

Perfect place to go for a game of pool and a drink. They have typical bar food that hits the spot for a late night snack! Their brunch options are good but I've only tried 1 item off this menu. I vouch for their sandwiches and appetizers and love their drink specials. They have plenty of tv's around the watch the game, making it a really comfortable environment! Can't wait to come back.

It’s a nice pool hall with good food. The tables are well maintained and quite a few of them. The space is nice. They have ping pong table and darts in there also. Good drinks, food and tables.

I've been visiting the Broken Rack for years, in the old location and their current domicile. I much prefer the latter. It's clean, the food is better and current staff overall is outstanding. Knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. Two bonuses: they have a couple of Diamond tables (commonly seen in televised championships) and a dispensary right across the street. Go, have fun. They're worth it.

Cafe Rack is an awesome place to go if you love pool but Shaunday, the bartender, will make you want to come back. She is so welcoming and nice as soon as you walk into Cafe Rack. She even remembered us from the last time we came in and found the football game I wanted to watch. The atmosphere is already so fun but she makes it even better! I started going to this spot many, many years ago loved it then and love it now :-) I was back in town recently to visit my mom and stopped by there with a couple of friends, they have changed the area and the broken had moved from it's old location (nice) Did not play any pool but had my famous turkey burger and it was good. Also the owner (Marilyn) remember me after talking to her for a few mins and she then even remember the drink I use to drink rum and diet coke wow how cool. Nice staff very nice owners, I am back in town for a few and will have to go pay them a visit. Need a spot to have a drink and play some pool please stop by and show your love, I know I will!!

Great place for playing pool. They have a ton of tables, and beer is not too expensive. It can get crowded here, but you can usually get a table pretty quickly if you don't come during the busiest hours. But if you don't, they have a bar, food, and TV's usually playing sports.

Big area with lots of tables. Recommend you call ahead if you have a big group or come at a busy time as the tables do all fill up. But they do keep a waiting list and call names over the speakers. There is also a few spots to congregate even if you don't have a pool table.

Played in the tournament at cafe rack tonight, and it was awesome. Great bartenders, great players, and a wholesome vibe all around. Buy in is 25$ and well worth it for a double elimination tournament with a several hundred dollar payout. Highly recommend!

Awesome place to play pool while enjoying foods and drinks at the same time, but you need to make sure when the kitchen closes. Their staffs are friendly, attentive and caring. We went out there with friends on Friday night and enjoyed. There are plenty of pool tables so you may not have to wait longer. If you are closeby this place is worth trying with reasonable price.

Trendy spot with well maintained tables and good sticks. Price to play pool per hour on the weekends can be more expensive than other places but darts is free and they have a really good set of darts.

Lots of pool tables to choose from, and the ambiance is great. The snooker table, however, is not regulation size, about 12 ft by 6 ft, which was disappointing. Otherwise, it is a five star joint.

Not bad. Tuna salad had olives, but was fine, taco salad with chicken was okay, but zero taco flavor...Hey that's whatcha get for ordering salads in a pool hall, right? Sandwiches and fish and chips looked better. Bartender also took food order, set us up with a table and delivered our food, so yeah he was busy, but awesome service. We'll be back for sure. Tables by the windows get hot in afternoon. Blinds help a little

Cool place to shoot some pool. The food menu does not make sense for a pool hall, but is a must try. Especially the potatoes and the meatballs.

They are solid. Happy hour till 7p service is ok food is ok. If your in the area it's a perfect spot. If your into billiards it's a great spot. Tables are nice well maintained.

It's a busy poolhall so you're going to see people from all different walks of life. Friendly staff and classic bar food. Chances are there is something for you her, just wish it was a little cleaner in some areas. Still I always enjoy coming here.

Not sure if they are open....Google shows that they are open & closes @2am Tried to call to confirm...says the # you have reached has been temporarily disconnected... Hmm...guess not opened since either covid or since they were bought out by the weed shop ohana... Don't wanna have to drive all the way there for no reason, will update rating when and if we can go Shoot some balls there....have no idea

I've eaten here for lunch a couple of times and service is always slow. The food wasn't that great and was a little disappointing after a long wait. I can't say anything for the spirits and pool, but the place does look inviting inside.

They’re currently short staffed. Hope that part gets better.

Did not get their drink menu 20bucks for a drink I was told you get more alcohol in the drink which you buy a drink because you like the way it tastes so more alcohol in a drink takes away from the taste of the drink you chose didn't get that concept but the service was great

I am in the area for 3 more days for a conference. First time in the area. Huge pool player who looks for pool spots in every city I go. I am putting 3 stars because I wanna be fair and haven't been here yet. And because I am plan on updating my review after I visit tonight. I believe in fair reviews. On the way!

Was recommended this place by my hotel concierge. The bald bartender in a raiders jersey was not pleasant at all and took several minutes to even notice me. I asked for mich ultra or Miller lite and was told they had neither. I said I would need a moment to pick a different beer and he left to tend to others. 15 minutes later I got tired of waiting for him to come back and left.

If you're from out of town AVOID this place at all cost. I've never been treated this way in any establishment....ever...and I'm 55. We were in town for the USC/Cal football game on September 22. I'm not sure if it was because I was from out of town, a USC fan or an Asian. We had already checked in and I was just wanting to inquire where I was on the wait list. He just walls away from me. After a few minutes, a co -worker even tells him he has a customer at the cash register and he still ignored me. My party and I left. So I highly recommend that you do not go to this place. If management reads this review, that employee should be fired.

At best. They only have one music channel. They stated that is their new image and would not change. Only annoying music? We want to dance vibe. Had to talk them down in order to listen.

Very unhappy. I received the message from the waiter last night that I will not consume drinks or food at Cafe Rock in the future. The ball game is limited to one hour. For such demands, we consumers can only suffer silently.

I have a video of the waitress speaking to her friends at the bar and ignoring my order of food that was sitting underneath the heat lamp for over two minutes before she finally decided to look and bring it to me. I think it's very shoddy service there at this bar. Too bad I was not permitted to post the video it's quite hilarious.

Used to be The Broken Rack with twice the number of tables and twice the size location till they gave up space to weed company next door and gave up lots of the available pool tables. I used to play pool there nearly every weekend for a couple hours with a friend for a couple years at their location at the food court and then the new location till they cut hours after the pandemic and never went back to normal hours. No sense waiting till 2:30 to play pool when you are looking for lunch and pool. Now we have to go all the way to Walnut Creek at Masses for lunch and pool. 🤬

Just about everytime I've been here they don't have alcohol you ask for. They have empty alcohol bottles on display, so when you ask for a shot of something you're told "we're out of that". What type of bar has empty bottles on display like it's ready to be poured? They don't have experienced bartenders. One guy that served me and a friend was reading instructions to make our drinks. The drinks are too pricey and not good. Stopped ordering $20 drink that taste like watered down OJ, started ordering just beer and a shot(if they have the shot you want)Security from the dispensary next door was pouring drinks which is crazy. Have also had problems with my debit card having holds on it the next day everytime I paid my bill with it. Had to start paying cash only. Food is ok, music is not so good, staff is usually friendly, Felicia and Lei were great, the times they were working. Did get ignored that one time by the guy reading instructions to make our drinks and security when my friend and I were trying to order another round, and we were the only 2 people on that side of the bar, so we left. Will not be returning.

-We wanted to have a work happy hour here for a party of about 15 people and I saw on their website that you need to make a reservation for larger parties. I made a reservation on yelp for 5 people (the maximum yelp will allow) since they weren't open for me to call and give our accurate number. -I called the day before our event and spoke with someone over the phone. I gave my name and the updated amount of people and he said we were all set. I received two confirmation emails for my reservation. -I received a phone call the day of my reservation asking for me to confirm (again) and a text. The text said to either confirm by calling or texting that number. I confirmed through text pretty immediately. -4 of us arrived at 3:30pm, the place was locked and closed. I called the number that called me earlier and no one picked up. When someone did answer, he said they would send someone over to help us. Someone from the cannabis spot came over and told me that I didn't confirm and that they were closed. After me being adamant that I did confirm, he reluctantly opened the doors. It was dead silent in there, the guy seemed irritated with us and then told us they would only have beers and shots. We left and had our happy hour at Honor Bar and they accomodated us and treated us like we weren't a nuisance. -All in all, it was a bad experience and the staff (at least the one person who talked to us) seemed annoyed by our presence and appeared to want me to be apologetic for their mistake. We were just a group of teachers ready to spend some money and decompress. Terrible customer service. EDIT: The response below is isinaccurate and again, doesn't take accountability. I was contacted for a confirmation, not to be told the bar was closed. And again, I did confirm. There were 4 of us and every one of us felt the same way about the man that showed up to "help" us. He was rude, unapologetic and made us all feel uncomfortable and like nuisances. In the future, just be upfront and apologetic if you care about the experience of your customers.

-We wanted to have a work happy hour here for a party of about 15 people and I saw on their website that you need to make a reservation for larger parties. I made a reservation on yelp for 5 people (the maximum yelp will allow) since they weren't open for me to call and give our accurate number. -I called the day before our event and spoke with someone over the phone. I gave my name and the updated amount of people and he said we were all set. I received two confirmation emails for my reservation. -I received a phone call the day of my reservation asking for me to confirm (again) and a text. The text said to either confirm by calling or texting that number. I confirmed through text pretty immediately. -4 of us arrived at 3:30pm, the place was locked and closed. I called the number that called me earlier and no one picked up. When someone did answer, he said they would send someone over to help us. Just about everytime I've been here they don't have alcohol you ask for. They have empty alcohol bottles on display, so when you ask for a shot of something you're told "we're out of that". What type of bar has empty bottles on display like it's ready to be poured? They don't have experienced bartenders. One guy that served me and a friend was reading instructions to make our drinks. The drinks are too pricey and not good. Stopped ordering $20 drink that taste like watered down OJ, started ordering just beer and a shot(if they have the shot you want)Security from the dispensary next door was pouring drinks which is crazy. Have also had problems with my debit card having holds on it the next day everytime I paid my bill with it. Had to start paying cash only. Food is ok, music is not so good, staff is usually friendly, Felicia and Lei were great, the times they were working. Did get ignored that one time by the guy reading instructions to make our drinks and security when my friend and I were trying to order another round, and we were the only 2 people on that side of the bar, so we left. Will not be returning.
