Great meal with our family while in town for the holidays. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. All the food and drinks were very delicious 😋 highly recommended.

I’ve never been here for brunch before. It is always a great experience, though. Their whole menu is very impressive. I will always recommend this place.

Great place for food! Nicely decorated and whatnot. Staff was nice! We had a nice gentleman named Bradley. Took care of us when we celebrated my friends birthday there! Definitely a must try in the area! One thing I did not like during my visit was the Brussel sprouts. Not sure if it's Brussel sprout season but... It wasn't prepared properly and it tasted like mustard. Those of you don't know its quite normal due to their family origin of plants but just means it's not fresh. Maybe a late batch? Old? The bacon that came with it was pretty much like jerky. Other than that.... everything else we had was great!

Nice atmosphere, the bar is impressive: tequilas of all kinds, all types of spirits, decoration, etc. The food was great and the margaritas were exquisite. The waiter was so caring to our needs and questions. Will come back for sure!

Authentic Mexican restaurant with touch of American style. Good variety in food. Nice selection of drinks. Everything was made to order & freshly served. Well managed seating arrangements. Even on weekdays it’s get crowded so book the spot well in advance. Guac was really good. Must try - baja shrimp tacos and lobster quesadilla. Friendly staff✌🏼 and I completely forgot about their churros(best)

My aunt took me to this place for my birthday & I really enjoyed it. It was easy to find, right on the Post Rd. The food was great. I recommend the lobster & bacon quesadilla, it was delish. The bacon/lobster combo is genius. My favorite flavor margarita is pomegranate & this one did not disappoint. I'm definitely going back to try more food & I'm excited to do so because they have a pretty big menu.

Geronimo is my go to in Fairfield. Love the ambiance, the workers, the food, the drinks, and the people that go. This location is family oriented. But is also great for any one. It has a nice bar with plenty of tequila selection, good Mexican food. The ambiance is very delightful, you get treated really well. I always get the same stuff, the guac, battered shrimp and steak tacos. But I would recommend all their dishes.

Definitely get the guacamole as a starter! It comes in a super cool pig bowl made out of lava stone. As a drink I had the Cucumber- Strawberry Margarita. The Salmon Main was amazing. So combination of both were a perfect meal in a great atmosphere.

Came here 10min before the kitchen closed and was still served with great service. Didn't feel rushed, beautiful inside. Elton took great care of us and made the experience worth coming back.

I enjoy GTB Immensely!!! The service, the ambiance and especially the food is amazing. Please come out and enjoy a phenomenal dinning experience, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Photos don’t do the food justice that we ate tonight . The drinks were phenomenal. We had the spicey Margaret is, the Lolo, and the “fistful of dollars “ for drinks . For food, we had the homemade guacamole, the Geronimo burger and the carne asada tacos. The food was excellent and there was no wait . We finished the night with the chocolate filled churros which were to die for . Our server was on point, and very timely with no waiting at all. Checked in frequent enough that wasn’t pushy. Cannot wait to make this spot a regular for us !! Want to try everything on the menu!

The Mac and Cheese at this restaurant, is the best Mac and Cheese I have ever had in my life. I was torn on what to order and the Manager Mike recommended it to us. IT WAS THE BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE. HE DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Honestly, if you have not tasted the Mac and a cheese here, you are missing out one of life’s greatest wonders. GO HERE, ORDER THE MAC AND CHEESE! DO IT TODAY, DO IT NOW! BEFORE ITS TOO LATE.

Just moved to area. A few colleagues mentioned this place so I figured I give it a shot. OMG. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME. I been there twice this week lol. First time I counting carbs so I had a tostada salad and added steak. AMAZING . second time ordered southwest chicken. 🔥 best chicken dish I've had. Motivation at 100 for next visit lol

Great service, great attention from the manager. Lower atmosphere score only because some tables had display of a scorpion and his habitat built in to the table. One person was very unnerved by this. The manager was very accommodating about this and offered us a different table without this display. Scared person declined moving but covered the glass. This manager could not have been nicer about it!

Delicious food and delicious drinks. Their cocktails are pricey so be prepared to spend money if you enjoy a drink or two. My husband and I had two drinks each at $17 each drink so we spent $68 ONLY on drinks. Are the drinks worth it? I mean they're good but there are so many other places with deals on drinks. You can taste the fresh ingredients in both their food and drinks. The rustic decor is perfect for a date night.

I came here last night with an old friend for some drinks and their spicy margaritas are great. Overall the service was fairly quick and the ambiance of the bar was very cool. The guacamole is super tasty- just not quite sure why the chips are in the same bowl. Overall it is always worth a stop by when in Fairfield.

Roberto was just amazing. He gave us the best customized Margaritas and great recommendations on the drinks and food. The Tacos we ordered were very disappointing but the rest of the food (Guac, Mango Habanero Salsa, Rack of Ribs)

Aye foodie fam, my co & I were on an adventure craving some Latin flavors when G-mo sizzle chest popped up on google w a nice rating and solid reviews so ...we... had...to.... PULL UP! Located in swanky Fairfield the digs are nice and the dinning are spacious my only complaints were the lighting can be a lil odd at times of the day and it was summer when we went so w/ all the open air we were battling flies half the night. Now let's get down to the eats! 👇👇 Prickly Pear Punch... a slapper that told my tastes buds to sit up straight n respect its flavors! The Guac.... a bit on the salty side but made table side n served in a mocajete w legit house made torta chips. A win 👍 The Mocajete.... a straight flavor bomb w all the meats cooked right and flavors being spot on. If not for just the little nagg'n things this would be a 5 star review based off my experience. Pretty solid n will return again 👌

Everything was perfect foodwise, the Mexican chicken, the guac, the magaritas.... just the service was a little slow... but overall I'll definitely be back!!

Delicious and freshly prepared guac, health portion sizes on the burritos and tacos, and great service. The shishitos are a flavor explosion and a must have. Knocked off a star bc the tortilla soup was too salty and needed a lime for acid.

Its a nice nice place. The food was very fresh but its Americanized Mexican cuisine. The only thing that I wish they had was their sauces. They barely have any, so they need to up their sauce game. Our waitress however was the sweetest and very polite.

Service and food was excellent! Much larger inside than it looks from the outside. Great menu, caters to gluten free except no gluten free desserts

8/24 update: Had dinner again. Service was nice and food was okay. Ribs were a little dry and nachos only had cheese on the top layer of a pile of chips. Have been here multiple times and food and drinks are good but the service today was terrible. Sat at the bar and the bartender was neglectful at best and down right angry at the worst. Had to call her over when we wanted to order. One of us put the menu down and she took it away. When we got her attention and asked to order she was surprised and said I thought you threw the menu at me so I took it away. Who says that??? A good bartender never shows the stress of being busy. This bartender looked stressed,angry and down right unpleasant.

Great ambience. The drinks are amazing and on our request, they were made non alcoholic for us. We enjoyed the mango margarita limeade and non alcoholic coconut mojito. The food was disappointing. It could have been more flavorful. The portion sizes are huge! The tres leches cake was good. The guacamole was really good! Highly recommend that! The staff are very friendly and courteous. Except for the food, we had a good time. We really wanted to try the guacamole burger but being vegetarians, we were told the patty is a meat patty. I hope they will have an option of a vegetable patty in future.

Early Monday evening the restaurant was full. We waited only a couple of minutes and were lucky to get a table outside. Inside was a not nice soundscape. The food was decent but not great. We had pork burito and Lobster Chorizo ​​Mac Cheese. The latter with too little chorizo ​​and not much lobster. The service was very good, helpful and friendly. However, we had to wait long for our food. Finally the Tequila Bar serves hundreds of different Tequila.

There was no host to greet guests when entering the restaurant. Management was more attentive than the service staff. Food was great!

my husband and I wanted to try this place for Sunday dinner. we got there at 7.55pm to a full restaurant with a 15 min wait time which we had no problem with. we got seats at the bar and orders drinks.bj had the paloma and it was amazing! by 8.11 the place was no longer busy and we were notified that the table was ready so we moved. It took another 10minutes for a server to come to us. we asked her if the food was going to take as long as she did and she politely apologized and assured us it wouldn't....it did! we finally got served at 9 and the portion was small. Also, they wouldn't clear the table between drinks and the salmon was blunt. I won't be back.

This is a nice place over all happy atmosphere, we have been to this place multiple times but it’s been a while since the last time. On 1-22-26 we were on our way to a different restaurant when we decided that the traffic was horrible both on 95 and post road so we decided to just stop at Geronimos we walked in and ask if we could have a table for two and NO we didn’t have a reservation the woman offer the bar but we were not happy with that so she said she could seat us on a table by the bar so we said yes. Everything was ok until we received our entrees the waiter Ulises took our order and as we received our chicken nachos another couple was seated next to us for some reason the other couple got their entrees way before we did and it was clear that our order was forgotten because it took a while for us to get the food, I ordered the Asada Quesadilla which looked not even golden, it looked sad and unappetizing they garnish it with some greens that were black and mushy and a sprinkle of cotija cheese on top. I chose to not touch it. My husband had the Santa Fe tacos which are supposed to come in handmade tortillas which clearly looked like the ones you get out of a bag and were clearly just warmed if that my husband eat one and left the rest there, Ulises didn’t check and asked what the issue was or anything if anything he made a sarcastic comment and laughed by saying I see you didn’t like the quesadilla. He didn’t asked if we would like something else or call a manager nothing, once we got the bill it was 100. And some cents for 3 tacos a quesadilla that wasn’t touch two drinks and a coke and an order of chicken nachos. We paid and also tip him in cash 20 dollars he took the money like someone was going to snatch it from him and they went on to take everything from the table and said ok bye when I wasn’t even done with my drink. I understand we didn’t have a reservation and it was a Friday night but the food was horrible and service was shitty. Unfortunately we will never will be going back to this place as we got treated like shit and we were not asking for free food we were paying customers. As we left I gave a rating card to the woman who was the host I couldn’t write much of the experience because the pen ran out of ink she looked at what I wrote and just laughed like what had just happened was funny.

Despite having a reservation my party was seated by the front door during winter and it was freezing,. The restaurant week hanger steak was a bust. The French fries were burnt. And the service was lacking. I lived in New Mexico and was craving some New Mexican food. I won't be back.

I have to say I'm very disappointed. I ordered a Geronimo burger, medium well with yuka fries, I received a well done burger with regular fries, I went back and spoke with the hostess and was informed it would take 30 more minutes on top of the 50 minutes I'd already waited for my order when I was told it would be 35 minutes. I waited because this was a meal for my son. I got my burger, this time with yuka fries BUT when he bit into it, it was well done again! On top of that my order of shrimp tacos was terrible, the shrimp were burnt black. I understand some days are busier than others, but to get a simple burger order wrong twice AND serve burnt shrimp is not acceptable.

This place is lucky I haven't taken legal action or launched a social media campaign to have them shut down. I've never had any issues with the New Haven location, but the Fairfield one is a completely different story. I won't delve into past experiences with this place, and I haven't left a review until now. However, this incident was beyond unacceptable and deserves all the negative reviews it can get. To start, I ordered from them on DoorDash, even though I've had minor problems with them before that weren't review-worthy. I ordered Mac and cheese and quesadillas. I dove right into the Mac and took two bites. On the second bite, I felt something strange in my mouth. When I pulled it out, I discovered a piece of plastic inside the Mac. You can't imagine how disappointed I was to find plastic in my Mac and cheese. I contacted DoorDash, but as you probably know, they don't seem to care much and only offered a refund. I'm genuinely shocked that this restaurant in the Fairfield area serves such low-quality food. There's no excuse for a piece of plastic to be in my food. I could have swallowed it, or worse, choked on it. With all of this in mind, please avoid eating here. Maybe it's okay for a drink, but the food is clearly not being checked before it goes out.

Was refused a drink being 21.. manager never showed up. I asked to speak on the phone with him on the phone and was never given the phone.. Food is also god awful.. dead for a Friday night… embarrassing. Service is awful and rude staff.

Horrible service every time we’ve been there. First time in a long time I had to go ask the hostess to track down our waiter so we could pay after sitting for over 30 minutes without someone checking on us. Food is good but not great.

To begin I came here for dinner and was waiting for my water for ten minutes before even meeting our waiter. Decided to try here as I had saw so many great reviews and look forward to it.But going back I would have never been excited to come. My margarita was extremely sweet for just a classic margarita. The food I got the Birria tacos and they were mushy more than a taco and to top it off we got the guacamole and chips. It felt more like I ordered chips and the guacamole was just a little side for them.

My friends and I were looking to have a drink and a good time coming from a previous restaurant where we had really good service, unlike this place. However, when ordering a drink my friend who recently turned 21 was denied service. They then proceeded to tell us, they would serve 3/4 of us. When asked to speak to the manager, a women came to the table, we were under the impression she was the manager. However we quickly found out she wasn’t the manager and was just the other bartender and was completely disgraceful. We then proceeded to ask for manager…who never came to the table. Having been a previous customers I can confidently say I am completely unsatisfied with the service and will never ben returning. Not to mention the food isn’t all that.

After a long stressful friday I wanted to unwind at a very recommended Mexican Bar. I was beyond excited to try it out when I was rudely greeted by the female bartender. She seemed unhappy with her job and those emotions poured out into my drink. I got a very bland margarita. I thought maybe it was just one bad one until my second one was over the top sugary. Not sure if they give out bartending licenses to anyone now a days but she should really be investigated. It’s a no for me.

We came here after having dinner at a separate restaurant, wish we would have stayed there after our experience here. We were looking to have a drink and catchup, however a person in our party was refused service after just turning 21. We asked to speak with the manager and a woman came up to the table and was extremely rude and we were under the impression she was the manager. Come to find out she wasn’t and was just another bartender. The manager was “on the phone” and we waited 15 minutes for him and still had not spoken to him so we left. I’ve had a good experience here in the past, however this experience will have me never returning.
