Opinions de Redwood Pizza Felton
From an out-of-towner...this place may just be the best pizzeria I've ever been to! I've always believed that if you want the best, you go where the locals go. We saw a firetruck returning to their house as we were walking in and then 5 minutes later, 2 firemen came walking in and got take out. Right then I knew we were in for great pizza and I wasn't disappointed! Fantastic crust, great ingredients and awesome staff made this an easy 5-star review! Whenever we get back to the area we're sure to be back here!
Love this place in our little town. They've adapted so we'll to covid with a really clean, safe takeout/ pizza pickup. Always nice, hard working staff. Pizza is good, calzones, pastas and salads are on point too for a solid well-rounded menu. Support this place and their staff, and receive a happy belly!
I really like going to Redwood pizzeria. Even if it takes a little while to order your pizza it gives you a great opportunity to just relax and enjoy a beer or a glass of wine. Everybody is so friendly and happy to be there and awaiting the spectacular pizza hot out of the oven. I try to make sure I’m only there once a week but I would eat there every night if I was able. Thank you to the wonderful friendly staff
Real New York style pizza! Delicious, best pizza in the South Bay Area. They know how to make the perfect pepperoni pizza if you let them do it traditional style: Hand thrown, chewy crust with just the right amount of blackened bubbles through the stretchy mozzarella cheese, baked on corn meal in a real pizza oven. THE BEST !
Being vegan, it is hard for me to find decent Pizza. These guys do a perfect job flavorful using wonderful ingredients. Just customize their vegetarian pizza with addition of cashew cheese, olives, raw garlic, artichoke hearts, tempeh and basil. Then wash it down with a glass of scrimshaw beer. Perfect. Tab for two with salad and 3 beers, $60. Best vegan experience.
The great down-home vibe you expect from Felton but some of the best pizza you'll find anywhere. I'm vegan and they serve up a killer cashew-cheese whole wheat vegan pizza! Don't tell too many people about this awesome find in the redwoods so it doesn't get too crowded.😉
Fantastic place, pizza is an easy meal for the family while camping and this local place was amazing!
Greek salad was delicious. The draft beer, Las Lagunitas, was heavenly, the pizza was lovely with a nice crispy crust. Our waitress was attentive but not overbearing. Comfortable booth, the aroma from the kitchen was mouth-watering.
Great stop after visiting the Redwood forest. Pizza was really good, prices were ok, beer was good. The calzone was really good all custom...definitely a nice little spot.
Excellent pizza with first rate meat and veggie options, much nicer salads than more expensive restaurants nearby, very good beer selection, decent wines, excellent customer service attitude, kid-friendly. We live nearby, and this is one of our favorite restaurants. Parking is easy in their lot.
Best crust & delicious home made cashew cheese for us lucky vegans. I know they make other pizza too, but why bother? Their vegan pizzas are fantastic!
this place has one of the best pizza in Bay Area..good crust and cheese. vegetable toppings were so fresh.you can try garlic bread sides also awesome. While Ambiance and service could be improved but you do not mind them if you are not paying too much.Food is really worth of the money you spend here.
Nice employees. Bartenders and b/r always clean. Pizza is much better than round tables. The crust and sauce is somehow tastier. The home deliveries are prompt.
My wife and I are not really pizza people but we just visited this place for the fourth time in the last two years (and we live an hour away from this place)
Awesome decorations inside, perfect fit for the location. They seriously picked the nicest and coolest people they could find to work there. I was on vacation but I will definitely be returning so I can take my brother and girlfriend!
Although this restaurant does not open until 1 pm, it is well worth the wait. They have all your classic topping pizzas, but the best choices are their most creative ones! My favorite is their Ohio specialty pizza. It has a really cool spiral of a mild spicy BBQ sauce, red bell peppers, tender roasted chicken, and cheddar cheese! The Ohio does come with red onion, but as an example of their great service, they have no problem taking it off for me when I ask. They are also one of the few places that occasionally carries Scrumpies Chider! They are hands down one of my favorite pizza places!
What can I say.... Great pizza.... Build your own and a fresh Greek salad. Service spot on, clean restrooms. Be sure to tip the staff, they deserve it! Ron and Kat
Top tier service, our server gave us plenty of time to decide on our order, was extremely speedy with drinks and other requests, and the food was great. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and the service and will definitely return. The environment of the restaurant was well-lit but not overbearing and you didn't have to compete with loud music to have conversation. This is an excellent choice for a night out with friends and family.
Closed early but staff took care of us, supper friendly staff handled our party with true kindness. Gyatt that food was good.
Cool place to hang with the family. Kid-friendly!
The pizza/pasta bakes are so good. Everytime we make it to this area my kids ask for it. The pizza is awesome and the garlic bread is fantastic. The staff was also very helpful with accommodating my large order. Can't wait to come back! Thank you!! 🤙🤙
I like the pizza here a lot and I order it for takeout at least once a month. I also come here for Thursday night football and it's great. Friendly staff and patrons, good beer, and relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommended the aloha pizza. The garlic bread is hit-or-miss. Once it was amazing, once it was meh. Don't order the chicken wings. They don't have a fryer so... yeah they're baked and that's not good.
Hands down, the best pizza in the San Lorenzo Valley. They are getting up to speed now that Covid restrictions have eased. Added outdoor dining is a big plus. Low key, casual, kid friendly, great organic salads, good beer selection, friendly staff. What's not to like?
Hidden gem. This place looks like almost every dine in pizza spot but the food is incredible.
One of the best pizza pies l've had in a while. While staying at a nearby RV resort and exploring the little town of Felton, I came upon the amazing smell of pizza that would not leave my mind! Several camp nights later the day before we left, I had to try it! I definitely would have regretted not ordering this pizza. I ordered the Cougar which came with pepperoni, mushrooms, olives and cheddar. It reminded me of an old school pizza I might have had as a kid...The crust was to die for and cooked to perfection, all ingredients were fresh, high quality and even the marinara tasted homemade. My husband ordered the Calzone and it was huge! Again, that crust is everything. Well worth the money! Since we took the pizza to go, I was pretty happy that I was able to take my craft beer to go also! Service was fast and friendly. This may become a regular stop whenever we're back in the area. Highly recommend!
This place is great! The pizza is fresh, the crust is perfectly crunchy and the staff is super friendly!
We ordered the Garlic Bread, yummy herby and topped with cheese and marinara was yummy! We ordered a Large pizza with white sauce (Ricotta cheese) pepperoni and pineapple. The ricotta cheese was smooth and delicious and the pepperoni was the perfectly saviry to go with the sweet pineapple. The ranch, I'm guessing in house was yummy! The vibe of this place was chill, and the lighting really set the feel and mood. Staff was lovely and the food was great! Thanks for the food, I'll be back!
This place is really cool. The food is very delicious and made there on the spot. The staff is super friendly, and the actual location itself is very interesting. It has a beautiful painting around the building. They currently don't have a dine in option, but they do have outdoor seating and take-out. We ordered a pizza and the quality was very good. The pizza was delicious.
Best pizza in the Santa Cruz Mountains, and they carry my favorite local newspaper, the San Lorenzo Valley Post! Live music on the patio in warm weather, mural art by Erika Louise Rosendale!
Really enjoyed the pizza. The crust was perfect. Served on a coregated surface kept it from getting soggy. The atmosphere was very homy and the staff friendly. Loved the "hidden" Bigfoot.

Might have fallen in love. The pizza is amazing, all the staff are super friendly and their service is stellar. I highly recommend for anyone passing through or staying in the area!
We ate there for the first time. We loved it, the atmosphere, the staff and our food.
Great pizza spot. Redwood, Coast and Rainbow pizza all delicious. Lasagna is supposed to be good too but I haven't tried it yet. Great draft beer selection. Solid place to watch a game on their TVs. Only regret is not going the sooner!
Have always loved this place, make a stop everytime I am visiting family, got the Redwood and my personal favorite the Ohio. Great atmosphere, great food and great service!
Went here last sometime in 2012. So good that I still feel the need to say so 13 years later.
The people who work here are so friendly. They have gluten-free pizza. The taste is great. The price is high per usual (because if you're allergic to gluten, all restaurants tax you more. You should be rich just because you're allergic, didn't you know? Jk 😜). Seriously, though, the government should subsidize gluten-free food and make it affordable. It's a real allergy.
A perfect slice of Felton pizza life! Bring a smile to Evan's face with your own creation and favorite combination. Fun spot to enjoy a tap cider or quality beer at the counter or table with some comfort Italian food options.
The pizza is delicious. Ps: They trapped and kept my missing cat till 1 am when I was able to get him back home. Thanks to the manager or owner of the business that open the door for me 🙏🏼
Cool place to hang with the family. Kid-friendly!

This pizza is THE BEST. Their crust is so freaking delicious and they add parmesan to a lot of the pizzas before they cook it and man its so good. They have great beer options and recently got a card reader so they can take cards now. The salads are really good and they have a good variety of dressings. Not giving 5 stars because the waitresses are not very friendly every time we have gone. They almost seem annoyed that a customer is there if they dont know you as a regular. We cant have bread on a regular basis so this is a treat to us and the service is a real turn off. Also wish it was open for lunch, but that doesn't effect my review.
Baked pasta wasn’t good, I’d say one of the worst baked pastas I’ve ever had.. but the pizza is okay, not best pizza… but okay. The prices are expensive for what is offered… the service isn’t great but okay… it’s definitely editable but not my favorite
I must say that I was impressed by Redwood Pizza. When I visited Felton, California this past summer, I wasn't really sure where to have dinner. This place seemed like the best choice even though it appeared to be a vegan pizza type place which is not my type of thing. It turns out though, that in fact is just regular pizza, not all gluten and dairy/meat free. We started off with the garlic bread which was completely eaten in minutes. As you can tell it was definitely good. For my pizza, I got whatever the size was of a personal pizza half cheese/half pepperoni. It was very good and tasted like coal fired pizza (not sure if it actually is coal fired). The staff were nice and attentive. We were there late on I believe a Wednesday night so it wasn't that crowded. Overall, I had a good dinner there, and if I was in the Felton area longer or return to that area I would definitely go for another pizza here.
Visiting from So Cal for the weekend. Honestly enjoyed the California Specialty pizza. Usually skip the end crust on pizzas, but ate it all on this pizza from Redwoods pizzerias. Easy ordering, pick up & enjoy with a glass of local red wine.
It's good for the area but expensive ($36 for a large pizza). Took a while to make our pizza, and the crust was lacking compared to others.
Pizza is good, definitely one of the best in the Santa Cruz area for this type of pizza (in excluding the nicer places like Bantam or West End Tap or La Bufala, which I think are much better). Service was very friendly.
Great local pizza spot with a great selection of local beers and cider. Table service is cool and unique for a pizza place.

The pizza is fire! The "Greek" salad is a travesty. You can't just put Greek dressing on lettuce and carrots and call it Greek salad. 🤦
I like the vibe of this local pizzeria but it could improve in a lot of ways. It's cash only, overpriced, has weird hours, and the food takes a long time to prepare. The pizza really isn't very good but hey, it's pizza and they have good beer. Kid-friendly. Overall I feel like this place thinks too highly of itself. It's definitely well established enough to get a card reader.

Sadly, I really have to say I was very disappointed. The first couple times we came here, we came with our parents who were visiting. They really liked it. We enjoyed it as well. The last time I came in, last night, I really feel strongly that the quality has gone down from our initial experiences. When you pay $75 for a meal, and you really feel like you could have gotten an equally good meal out of a box from Costco for a tenth of the price. That is a problem. Especially when you style yourself as a gourmet family restaurant. I felt like the options were really limited as well. Not very many gourmet ones. The same stuff you expected most pizza parlors. The thing that surprised me the most was that you couldn't order any of the pizzas without sauce or change the sauce there wasn't even in another option for any other kind of sauce. Even though they do offer a pesto which is a good pesto, you're not allowed to use it as a sauce on any of the other pizzas. The service was great as usual, and atmosphere, very small town pizza parlor. What you would expect. I just really didn't feel like the bill matched the experience that I had. My family agrees with me, and unfortunately for us we probably won't be back again. Honestly, I think we've missed out several opportunities coming here... just because it's it's very difficult to always remember to get cash before coming. It's a cash-only establishment. While I understand that reduces your overhead slightly, it's a really big deterrent for most modern patrons. Most people don't have cash or carry cash. Just giving honest feedback. Good luck in all your endeavors.
Their people are nice, the venue great. It seems like a great place to hang out. But, their pizza is bland. Honestly, I have had frozen pizza better than this. I'm not trying to be harsh or mean, but with so much pizza out there, there's no room for bland pizza. I would recommend less sauce, fresher ingredients, and add flavor to the crust... maybe switch up the cheese they use, try sour dough?... Seems likea chill place though. Absolutely positive intentions.
I absolute Love Redwood Pizza, but the as amazing as they are, every time we come here the curly haired girl that works at the register is the absolute worst and makes me question why I keep coming back… Her attitude is less than pleasant, she acts like your an annoyance on the phone and in person, and for working in the food service industry, she has just has zero customer service skills. I have tried to justify her attitude as maybe a bad day, it being super busy, but I have been coming here for years and she is always the same. I have talked to friends who frequent Redwood and we all say the same thing…pizzas great, service sucks!
