Catfish Amok... A delicate, fragrant fish curry with coconut milk and egg, steamed to perfection in a banana leaf. This is my new favourite dish! Not everything was so iconic but it was all excellent - good beer selection, too. I'll be back often.

I don't know how many times I've had Cambodian cuisine in my life but it might be more and more often after having visited this place. I guess the food is similar to Thai or Vietnamese, so if you like either of those, you're in for a treat. My dad got the spicy basil chicken with noodles which was simply delicious. My mom got the noodle soup, which reminded me a lot of pho, but without all the extra fixings. I got the "amok" which is pictured. I got the catfish version; it was kind of like a fish cake, and it was wrapped in a banana leaf. It doesn't look all that appetizing, but it was seasoned well and very flavorful. Would go great with rice. Definitely check this place out.

Amazing flavors, some of the best chicken curry stew I've ever had. The fresh spring rolls are a must. Also check out their chicken shish kabob bento box combos. Most flavorful chicken I've ever had. So damn good. Just go here. You won't be disappointed.

We love coming to these restaurants. Two doors is a great place for drinks and hanging out. The bar tenders are friendly and welcoming after just a few times there we feel like regulars. Jake and Bo helped us tonight and their service was phenomenal there's a great beer selection on tap and Jake made me a delicious white russian. We love that we can order off the menu from the restaurant jia tellas next door and from two doors. We've tried a little bit of everything and it's always cooked perfectly. Amanda from Jia Tellas recommend some the bento box and it was perfect! She was an excellent server and we will definitely be back!

A true hidden gem in Scott's Valley. There is ample seating both inside and on the adjacent patio. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is fabulous. Great spice and texture.

The burgers are phenomenal. Sliders and fries great! Excellent ranch dressing. Big patio with lots of lights and music and great vibe. Scotts Valleys hot spot!!!

This is our weekly stop, and has been for a couple of years now. The food is always fresh, always tasty, and they are willing to customize a lot; I love spice and my partner can't stand it, so it has been great to find a restaurant that will cater to us both. If you like fish, go for the catfish amok which is a nice twist on a familiar food.

The food is ALWAYS on point. I have yet to have something I don't like and I've been eating here for 8 years. Service used to be slightly spotty, but they seem to have fixed that issue with good servers. If you like Spicy try the stir fried ginger with beef. The mango sticky rice is the BEST dessert.

Among my favorite places to visit. tasty beef skewers! As well I will recommend the pork fried rice as well the famous salt and pepper fried chicken wings... You won't be disappointed. I should say that Jia Tellas wonderful menu is also available at 2 door's bar Next door. With the addition of pool tables out back has really brought all 3 facilities together.

There are so many dishes I enjoy at Jia Tells, and I appreciate that the menu remains fairly consistent. Today, I stopped for a favorite, curry chicken stew (also available with beef or tofu), as was delighted to discover they now offer green curry stew. It was delicious! This is a comfortable space for dining alone, or with a group of friends. The service is friendly. I'm glad they're so close to my home!

Great food, please add pictures of the food to your menu (at the order counter), it shows both the good and the size of what you're ordering

Amazing place, great atmosphere! The people made the most of my visit by being warm, welcome and most importantly fun. For a place that makes burgers, the kitchen knows how to cook. I tend to have a hard time finding a great, juicy burger in California, this is the spot. Plus the swap menu of the Cambodian place next door adds a fun twist on what foods you can get. You can find anything for anyone here, food, atmosphere, pool tables and party time, social parties with friends, or even just time for yourself to do work on your computer (they have complimentary wifi). Overall one if not the best place in Scott's Valley to go.

Great casual local restaurant with something for everyone. A Cambodian restaurant attached to an American restaurant where you can order from both sides. Fun & friendly staff & a cool place for a night out or to pickup takeout. Open until 9:45 on the weekends which is nice as there’s not much else open in Scotts Valley that late.

J

Amazing food! So glad they are open again for outdoor dining. Delicious flavors of mint, curry, coconut, basil, ginger and with nice spicy kick. We love Jia Tellas and highly recommend.

One of the best restaurants in Santa Cruz County. Family owned and operated. The food is high quality and consistently tastes great. Many healthy options for whatever your diet allows. My favorite restaurant in Scotts Valley.

I don’t know why I always forget about this place but every time I come with my family I always leave happy. They have some of the best customer service in the area. The employees make small talk, smile, acknowledge you and have a positive energy about them. I also like that my husband and I can opt for a healthier option while my picky kids can order from next door and be happy. The patio is also great for them to run around (of course when it is solely ours).

Nice spot for Cambodian food. Very consistent and delicious. Beers on tap, or you can get drinks next door at 2 Doors. Patio is nice, and we seldom eat inside unless the weather is questionable.

Marissa is an awesome bartender. The bar is spacious, they have 2 sides of tables, a U shaped bar, darts, outside seating, and the restaurant side too. Friendly neighborhood bar 🥂🍷🍾🥃🍹🍸🍶🫖🍻. They even have promotions for different alcohols there w/free swag. Wasn't able to try the food yet.

A fantastic restaurant tucked away in a shopping center. My partner and I split the green curry and salad with two beers and had more than enough food. The shrimp salad and dressing were delicious, and the green curry was rich and flavorful. The beers on tap were also very fresh. I would strongly recommend stopping by for lunch or dinner and sitting out on the patio. The outdoor space is under the shade of a large redwood.

Really enjoyed our first visit to Jia Telles. Amazingly quick service with tasty and surprising dishes. Good draft selection for beer, ciders, and kombucha and pleasant seating outside with plenty of trees and shade. We tried the Trio sampler, tamarind noodles, red curry stew, and papaya salad. All good, my favorite was the salad with its very complex and lightly creamy crab sauce. Red curry stew was also great- a bright, savory soup.

M

The large Tamarind Noodles (with beef and chicken for me) was tasty. Satisfying but not overfilling. The shrimp kabob and guava juice were good too. It was nice and quiet when I visited at about 8pm on a Wednesday -- unlike their very lively connected bar next door. The server was pretty friendly too.

Great neighborhood bar & grill. Good selection of beers, mostly IPA. Wonderful bartenders and delicious cocktails and mixed drinks. Got an even funner over the years

I come here at least twice a month for the bento box. I usually order brown rice, a chicken kabob, and a beef kabob. Sometimes we’ll splurge and get fried spring rolls and an order of stir fried green beans with beef. I’ve also had their pork fried rice with egg. Anything that comes out of that kitchen is amazing. The service has always been consistent and good.

Cambodian food in Scott's Valley! I never had it before but loved the fresh food and bright flavors. We tried the Catfish Stew and Curry Chicken with peanut slaw and rice. Both dishes 5-Star, for sure. Located in a strip mall with ample parking, their space is large and has both indoor and outdoor seating available. INSIDER TIP: The Thursday lunch menu is available every day. It is one of their most popular dishes and you'll see why, if you try it.

So dang good! We got the red curry and the fried rice, both GF and so so good. The curry was the perfect balance of spicy and sweet. And you can get items from the place next door, which is very convenient for kids. We got them a pizza and got to have Cambodian food for us!

We walked in, We are seated with a menu. It was one of the few actual restaurant type places that felt relaxed in scott's valley. Everything else seemed to have a faster in and out pace kind of vibe. This restaurant was beautiful and aesthetic. We received the menu and clearly didn't know what we were getting into.None of the food seemed to make sense to us, though we don't typically eat this type of food. We ended up leaving because we just didn't know what to order. I assumed the food was phenomenal by the atmosphere and the staff. So if this is the type of menu you enjoy I would think it's a hundred percent.

I really like Jia Tellas. You can order good Cambodian food or American made food. Their fried tofu is really excellent and so are their sliders. Plus I really like that they hire locally and support our high school/college age students. Good local business 👍

Jia Tella’s is one of those rare spots where every bite feels like a hug. The food is packed with flavor - fresh, vibrant, and clearly made with love. The staff is always friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the cozy atmosphere makes it perfect for both a casual night out or a little celebration. Whether you’re here for the classics or trying something new, you really can’t go wrong. Easily one of my favorite places to eat in town!

Best about Jia Tella is value for money, you get quality Asian food (from BBQ to noodles, Kabob, curries, stir fries, soups and starters and salads and even Tempura) at a reasonable price with friendly casual service and good outdoor or indoor atmosphere. Cambodian or Khmer food has influences from neighbouring countries such as Thailand and Vietnam but definitely has its own distinct taste that’s not quite as spicy as the Thai influenced curries. You get a good amount of food here so it’s great to share dishes, and the flavors and variety dishes with with good proteins and veggies and delicious sauces. The Red curry is a favorite in a big metal pot, add a side of steamed veggies and rice for 2 and that’s enough for 2. The spicy fried chicken wing starter is tasty too, and the Green Papaya salad flavorful, but you can’t go wrong with the majority of the dishes. The Salmon dishes like the Tamarind and Mango are both good, and Stir Fry Lemongrass with Beef. The Catfish Amok is more of an acquired taste and texture, like a lemongrass and coconut fish meatloaf wrapped banana leaf as fish flavor dominates. Great Full Bar and Craft Beers, and variety of non alcoholic drinks with Thai Teas and Coffees, and well worth trying Asian regular desserts and good range of tasty Gelatos. Great for couples, groups and families for great fresh good value delicious food!

The staff are always very quick and friendly. I usually get take out, but the atmosphere seems nice... Especially the patio on the side. The green curry is top notch, as well as the basil chicken. I've only tried a few of their dishes, but have never been disappointed. It's hard to try new things when I know that the curry kills it every time. Just the right amount of heat, and perfectly cooked vegetables.

Love the red curry stew, super delicious menu all around! And if your guest(s) want something a little more simple they have a bar attached right next door with just as amazing bar food and pizza! Jia Tellas and Two doors are definitely a family favorite of ours. Plus enjoy a game of pool in the back! 🎱🥦🥡🥢🍕♥️

Their weekday lunch special is a great deal. I can split the special with my girlfriend and it is packed with flavor any day of the week. Draft beer is a plus with the opportunity for a spicy dish on a sunny afternoon in Scotts Valley. Check it out, you'll love it.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good Jia Tellas was. I was visiting from out of town and a friend took me there. We both ordered the Thursday special, curry chicken with brown rice and a slaw/salad. The curry was fabulous! Just the right amount of heat, enough to get the mouth tingling and the sinuses a wee bit runny (I would categorize the heat as medium high for American palates.) The chicken melted in the mouth and the rice/curry combination was delicious. I will definitely be going back!

Service was really good, very mindful of food allergies. The food comes in big portions which is nice for the price. The fries were really good, but the burger wasn't my favorite. I would certainly give them a try yourself as I am sure you will find a burger to match your taste. Also, I believe they also offer pizza, which always goes great with a drink.

Want to try something different and the food was good. I loved the fresh wrap and spring rolls. My most fav was their stir fry lemon grass with chicken as it had a kick to it with a hint of chilli. I also loved the tamarind noodles as it was unique and tasted good. The basil chicken noodles was also good and the Cambodian coffee was pleasant for a sunny day. The banana fried with vanilla dessert was also nice to finish the healthy meal. Overall I consider this a healthy and tasty meal as I ate a lot of greens.

One of the few family friendly restaurants in Scotts Valley with outdoor seating. Large, lighted outdoor patio. Serving casual Cambodian fare (order at the counter) with dessert options including gelato, but don’t miss the more traditional mango sticky rice. Sister establishment next door with outdoor bench seating. Reasonable prices and free parking.

Food is OK, but not great. It's noisy inside, outside tables are pleasant in good weather. Beer selection both in bottles and on draft is really poor -- there are a lot of choices, but there's very little difference between them. Entrees seem to have been pre-cooked and warmed up. Service is barely competent, mostly with students who come and go quickly. We live nearby, and only go there when there are no other options (long wait, etc.).

B

Reasonably consistent Thai/Cambodian cuisine in a very casual environment. Next Door, and Two Doors - part of the same JT enterprise serve a more American Menu. Great beer selection. Good bar and lively atmosphere.

Awesome place, just the chicken sandwich had thinnest pieces for chicken. Won’t order that again. I do recommend this place very good atmosphere.

An enjoyable dining experience overall, Jia Tella's seems to be underappreciated in the area. Well priced and portioned meals for a casual dining experience, it's a good stop for couples or a small group, and their lunch specials are more than reasonable as well. I especially enjoyed the Spicy Basil Chicken, beef kabob, and the Trio Sampler, though the Fried Rice was a bit too plain and the chicken kabob was overcooked. The Catfish Amok was fresh, though the loaf was unextravagant which may turn away some. The timing between appetizers and meal was almost nonexistent, which can hopefully be remedied at my next visit. I will return in the future to share with friends and get their input as well.

Very "strange" place. I ordered shrimp appetizer which was shrimp marinated with salt, pepper and garlic, nowhere it said that it would come mixed with sweet sauce OR WITH RICE!! There were 6 shrimps in sweet sauce and a large portion of brown rice!!!! All of that for $10!! The waitress didn't even warn me about the rice. At the same time I ordered shrimp curry stew with white rice because I didn't know about the rice in the appetizer. They brought a large bowl of very watery, soup-like "stew" with HUGE pieces of potatoes, overcooked carrots and A FEW shrimps. So for $30 total I had a huge portion of rice, potatoes and carrots and a few shrimps. Highly "recommended" place.

Ordered takeout last night… it was inedible. We got flat rice noodles with beef and some mango sticky rice. The tea we got was fine. The noodles had nearly no sauce on them and were majorly under seasoned. Took 1 bite and called it quits. We were hoping the sticky rice would redeem the meal, but that was completely inedible. The rice was crunchy, not sticky. My fork broke as I tried just pushing through the rice to scoop a second bite.

Good food. Some of the servers are stellar, but some are really unfriendly so the experience is hit or miss. One of the employees brings her dog to work and it is not friendly with other dogs so that girl needs to go. This place has a bad reputation for a reason but if you want to get drunk it’s a place.

Vegetarians beware!!! The service was not great at this place. I have been a vegetarian for over 30 years. I ordered a beyond Burger and I have a gluten allergy and the person behind the counter taking my order was very nonchalant about it which always scares me because I get really sick if I ingest gluten. Therefore, I ordered a lettuce wrapped beyond Burger since I am a vegetarian and gluten free. When the burger finally came up it was lettuce wrapped but it looked like a real burger. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I do make beyond meat burgers at my house where I use their pound beef and mix it and can somewhat look like a burger depending on how I cook it. I reluctantly took a bite and immediately noticed that it was MEAT not a beyond Burger a big fat juicy hamburger they served a vegetarian of 30 years!!! I spit it immediately out took it back to the counter the guy was very apologetic and said he was going to refund me my money so I was okay with it. However, when I got my credit card statement back they did not refund me!! I left a voicemail on their message machine two days ago telling them this and that was not cool to feed a vegetarian of 30 years meat and then tell me they were going to credit me back for it and not credit me back for it. Guess what?? Nobody even bothered to call me back or return my call when I left a message for them two days ago... I would absolutely never recommend this place nor will I ever patron here again!!

Tried calling. Put on hold 5.30 minutes until I gave up. So we drove down to order there. Every other place packed in the shopping center. Only two tables had people seated. Ordered lemongrass salad and papaya salad. Picked it up headed home. Got home and opened takeout box to see the most boring iceberg salad with the thinnest slice of tomato ever sliced. The lettuce consisted of one small wedge which must have been broken off and another coo of scraps. And the tiniest cup of dressing which covered about 20% of the salad. And NO papaya! I guess it was the papayaless salad! I seriously believe their cost for the salad was two cents and took less than five seconds to put in container. Our other dinner was NOT what we ordered as staff all two of them decided to give us green beans and chicken scraps. There couldn’t have been more than 1/2 cup of scraps. Surprisingly it was tasters like the minimal amount of salad dressing. So we called to discuss the order. After three tries the phones were working! The “server” said there’s nothing he could do. Waste of money and time. Eat at your own risk. Drove back out and went to carls Jr. Honest post and I for the most part like everything I review.
