Mamajuana Cafe is a vibrant Dominican restaurant with a lively atmosphere, often turning into a party scene later in the evening. Customers rave about the flavorful food, generous portions, and attentive service, especially highlighting server Juli. The decor is social media-friendly.
Tip: The restaurant can get busy, potentially slowing down food service, but the staff is generally accommodating and quick to fix any issues. Be aware that the lights may change color, making the menu hard to read.
This place was really good! If you are alcohol free they are able to accommodate you! My friend and I got Virgin mojitos and really enjoyed it. My friend got one of the mofongos; it was so good! Very flavorful and not dry! I got two sushi rolls and they were so good! The place plays some awesome Latin Music as well. Our server was very nice and attentive! Would definitely recommend coming here!
Came here for dinner after our flight was cancelled. Place is very cute. Service was a bit hit and miss as we didn’t always got what we ordered but they were super nice and always fixed the issue. Food and cocktails were excellent with huge portions all at a decent price. Great place to eat or drink if you are around
this place is amazing and beautiful and the food is delicious. I celebrated my 26th birthday here and I loved every moment. They accommodated to my huge party and if there were any problems they fixed it right away. We had everything on the menu from appetizers to kids meals and I can honestly say the food was amazing. The snapper, sushi and salmon were to die for and my son and nephews loved their chicken wings and tenders. They made me feel special on my birthday by bringing out a huge sign and flares, it gave club but in a restaurant setting and I loved it. I will definitely be back 10 out of 10
I visited the The original Mamajuana Cafe Restaurant in New York City back in 2006. I still do every time I visit NYC. So, I had already made up my mind to compare the two. So here we go: Decoration: It is nice. Social media ready. They have a wall for selfies and pictures (love it). The decor is not Old World like the one in NYC. I would've preferred to be transported back to colonial times decor. Food: How should I begin.... I'll guess I'll go the point....It was AMAZING! The food was very tasty. Perfectly seasoned. The presentation was on point. Paying homage to the Dominican culture. I'm not easily pleased when it comes to drinks. But, my Passion Fruit Mojito and Cucumber Spritz were better than I expected. They were perfect for me. We didn't have dessert because we were too full. But, I'm looking forward to taste one next time I go. Both this location and NYC's locations are equally excellent. Service: Our waitress was really attentive and courteous. Same as in NYC. If you enjoy Latin Food...Give this restaurant a try. You'll love it ! They've been in business since 2006!
This place was the absolute best!!!!! Our server Juli was a true GEM & the food was very flavorful and well plated and the portions were enough for 2. We started with the appetizers of toast donis, models, and I had a pork and chicken soup. I was feeling a little under the weather so I ordered the soup and it cleared me right up. I couldn’t provide many pictures because we were in such a rush to eat everything because it looks so great. But the star of our visit was our waitress Juli. She was THEEE BEST!!! Juli was very attentive and her knowledge of the menu was outstanding. All of her recommendations were spot on. My advice visit TODAY, ask for Juli, and tell her Lykeisha the Baker sent you! You won’t be disappointed!!!!
The decor is as vibrant as the staff! The music is lively and the food profiles are well balanced. The flavors are joyous but not overdone with heavy lime, cilantro or salts. The musical vibes were modern Latin pop/hip hop and light Afro beats. Juli was attentive and gave awesome recommendations that completely enhanced the experience. Her smile was as lovely as her personality.
My friends and I decide to go out on this thursday night, we wanted a nice vibe and good food so we found this place on tik tok; we were excited mostly from the online menu/reviews and stayed because of the great service from Julissa!! We ordered some appetizers, sushi rolls, and alcoholic drinks; we got to try a little bit of everything. The layout of the restaurant was very nice, Julissa’s recommendations for food and drinks were phenomenal!! We will be back and bring more friends to get the same experience.
This place is super fun with a great atmosphere. There are a lot of chairs inside and out with also a place in the corner for live music. The food here is amazing and tasty! We had the Chicharroncitos, Aguacate Majao, and Mamajuana Roll. Yum! For drinks we got the Jack Punch, and the Bachata Rose.
The food was delicious and it has a good presentation. Everything was amazing. For sure we will go back. It worth it. The menu is interactive (a tablet) and it has high quality pictures. Maybe the dulce de leche lava cake could be better. It wasn't lava and was dry.
Vibrant and cute murals and aesthetics for the social media photo fans. The Blue Mamajuana and Jack Punch was taster. The fried cheese and chips apprenticed was good. The Sanchocho soup was delicious. The best is their mamajuana sushi roll which is made with beef, shrimp, fried plantains etc. The staff was friendly and food delivery time was good. Recommended for your next brunch spot.
First time to Mamajuana. It might be the nicest looking Dominican restaurant in SoFla. Huge space with a very nice decor. If feels almost like a night club but with a lot more ilumination. Food was really slow...for some reason it felt they were a bit overwhelmed but to make up for it the manager offer a nice discount (we didn't ask for it) and that's why they are getting the fifth star! Shout out to one of the best waitress I've ever had in the hundreds of restaurants that I have been to, Wendy!!! You made the difference!!!
First time going there and didn't know this lil HOLE IN THE WALL was right in our back yard in Broward County! I ordered the Mamajuana Burger with the egg, and I've had burgers in other restaurants and this had to be one of the BEST burgers I have tasted!!! Also had the Sushi Rolls along with the Plaintain chips with Fried Cheese and Guac Dip along with the Mango Mojíto.Definitely will be going back!
The food was great. Service was decent. My server English was minimal, and my Spanish wasn't great, but in the end, everything was great. My only complaint was where my group and I were sitting, the lights changed color, making the menu hard to read.
Our food was so good! I know for myself that I have never really had this food before but it surely didn’t disappoint. Our server Juli was also very chatty and friendly, giving off a positive type of vibe, which I loved. Overall, I would totally come and eat here again!
We dined at this restaurant on Saturday night August 12. I had the fried snapper and my husband had the palamino steak. The food and service were amazing. They had a 9 piece live band lead by JCee Colon and they played salsa music. We got to eat great food , dance and had a wonderful night out. There were a lot of people , a very nice crowd of people who enjoyed dancing and partying in a festive atmosphere. We will definitely be going back for more.
Recommend! What a surprise and delight this place was. Came here with some friends for dinner. Food was amazing! Vibe was good - turns into a party/lounge scene as it gets later. Service was awesome, super friendly. Restaurant itself is nice, good outdoor dining area and well decorated inside. Music is on point - made me feel like I was in DR.

Came here for the first time from miami based off a post we saw on IG. The vibe and the food looked amazing. We arrived around 3:30 to an empty place. Decided to sit down and try it out since we drove 50 minutes. We ordered an appetizer Tostones Mar y Tierra which turned out to be very bland. I ordered a passion colada drink. It tasted pungent and the drink was spoiled. I returned it and ordered a blue mama which was very good. We then ordered our entree which consisted of penne pasta with shrimp and Rabo encendido. Pasta was a bit sweet but ok. The Rabo was very salty and had to be returned back. Ended up ordering Mamasushi roll which was not bad. Our waitress, Yoselin, was very polite and attentive. She apologized for the food and made sure we were satisfied with the outcome. Not once did a manager come over and apologize. This is the second dominican restaurant we have come to where they go all out on the decor, music and vibe, but fall really short on the flavors and outcome of the food.
We went here before boarding our cruise and The place is very cute, drinks were excellent!!! My only complaint was the food, we ordered a mofongo with churrasco and I can tell that it was not what I expected. As you can see in the picture, the churrasco was inside the mofongo and literally there were only 3 pieces of meat, the mofongo was super hard and not soft as it should be. However, the waitress was very nice and attentive and without asking brought us some more meat.
Overall I think it was good/ok. The place is beautiful, bright and colorful with live DJ on Saturday night. Food was ok, was definitely lacking bold flavors to be a Dominan infused restaurant. Drinks were good but I wished food had more flavors.

Arrived and we were sat immediately on a Saturday around 715 pm. Place was pretty empty. I think about 5 to 6 tables were occupied. (Should have been the first clue this place was not going to be good.) Ordered drinks including makers mark on the rocks, which was watered down with lots of cubed ice. Horrible! A girl came over to take our pictures and said was not for social media as we asked. The came later with said pictures on frames to purchase at $20 each. We felt bad and got 2. Ordered mofoguitos, chico (goat) and their mamajuana roll. Mofoguitos were dry and the protein flavors were okay. Chivo had lots of small bones and flavor lacked. The roll was decent but not enough for us to go back. We took a creme brule home and it was a joke. It was like having store bought vanilla PUDDING. Not caramelized and horrible. We tossed it after tasting it. So not worth the "hype".
