I had the pleasure of being served by Sonia, and she was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I sat down, she greeted us with a warm smile and made me feel welcome. She was attentive without being intrusive, always checking in at the right time and making sure everything was perfect. Sonia was knowledgeable about the menu, gave great recommendations, and went above and beyond to make our experience special. Her professionalism and kindness really stood out, and she made the whole dining experience so enjoyable. Thank you, Sonia, for such excellent service—I’ll definitely be back!

Sonya was our waitress and she was so sweet. I was roofing and she was riffing back. I absolutely love that because I’m very social! Environment was good and I had the cheese quesadilla and 2 for 1 margaritas.

The atmosphere and location is perfect sitting out on the front patio under the thatched tiki hut roof with a clear view of the beach and ocean. The food was delicious with very generous portions, and our server, Sabrin, was extremely polite, personable, and attentive.

Sonia took GREAT care of us. Thank you for the great hospitality and suggestion for the “off menu” street corn dish. It was AMAZING. My wife and I can’t wait to come back!

We came here for some drinks and appetizers before meeting up with friends on the other side of the beach. Sonia or hostess made sure we were well taken care of and her personality was super cool. I highly recommend this place and make sure you try the fish bites. The atmosphere was great and the restaurant was very clean.

New name - same wonderful service! The (formerly Drunken Taco) Salty Sombrero never disappoints! The tacos are large and amazing! The margaritas are 2 for 1 and very big! We have been there a number of times and always try to get a table in Steve’s section. He is a fast, efficient and (most importantly) friendly server. What a winner – we enjoy his sense of humor and his amazing service – the best!!! We will definitely be back and be looking for Steve.

The service and decor of The Salty Taco are second to none! My sincerest compliments go to waitress/ servers Sonya V and Head Bartender Ani and her co-workers. My appreciation is extended to the manager Freddy as well! Their food is top notch as well! 😇

We had Tashi as our server she was fantastic! We were there the end of our long panama canal cruise on October 6th. We had the fajitas and the 2 for 1 margaritas 🍹😋. Everything was excellent. We will be back as we love 💘 this place especially with a table looking at the beach and people watching.

Best party spot in the strip! So fun to grab a cocktail, sit on the boardwalk and people watch on a Saturday night. Good music, great vibe and delicious food. Very busy place to be so get here early if at all possible. Dani was an amazing waiter who was friendly and knowledgeable in all the drinks and food options available. Enjoyed watching the game and having cocktails by the water.

While walking the strip, we can upon The Salty Sombrero and the menu looked pretty good. We started off with drinks- mimosas and a non alcoholic beer. They have loads of specials, so why not get 2 for the price of 1?? Hubby got a breakfast burritothat was huge and it came with a generous portion of tater tots. I opted foe the taco salad with beef. Both menu items are enormous so you definitely have some to eat for later or the next day. Being in Florida, I could not resist the key lime pie!! You definitely have to get this here. Sooooo good. Tasha was our waitress and she keep us happy the entire time. The restaurant is directly on the street and right across is the ocean. So watching people go to the beach/posing for pictures was fun. Definitely we will be back!

Just visited during peak spring break time and I am gluten and dairy free. Tashi was our server and she was awesome! She made sure I was taken care of and she was so sweet! Plus the food was delicious! I got the fish tacos, per Tashi’s recommendation, and had no issues!

Honestly shocked at the high reviews here. Queso was good. Waitress was helpful. The chorizo tacos were disgusting. Sliced chorizo sausage links instead of crumbled chorizo that tasted like hot dogs. We sent them back and the waitress switched them out for the mahi tacos which were fine. We found a hair in the rice and beans. Margaritas were decent but weird that you HAVE to pay for two basically. Will not be returning. Also, waited 10 minutes for the women’s bathroom to open up only to realize that I would be the only person in a women’s bathroom with a man who was working on the other stall. It felt very unsafe. Highlight of our visit was the sweet bird with a broken leg!

Food was decent but server we got was not very attentive with drink refills. We were charged the incorrect tab then when asking for a receipt he said we never paid, held us back arguing that we had to pay again due to his mistake. Environment was nice just need to be more courteous towards customers if it wasn't our mistake

Drunken Taco has always one of the places we’ve always looked forward to when visiting Fort Lauderdale. Been coming here for 15 years. First time coming since it’s changed owners and renamed Salty Sombrero. We went there today and were excited to get dinner and drinks. However, the waiter/manager seemed to have a problem with us from the moment we sat down for some reason unknown to us? So rude to point where i had to look up if this turned into one of places that were rude to you as a part of their charm, like the “Dicks Last Resort” chain . Nope. Just rude for no reason. As you can see from my profile, I’m not the person to write bad reviews. This is my first. But wow. I’m totally speechless as to how terrible this man was. I wish i caught his name, but it was a bald white man with glasses. I’ve raved to people for years how much i loved the drunken taco, so sad it’s been ruined by this man. :( Editing to add that the glasses were on his head, don’t know if he actually wears glasses.

Beware of their fajitas. 3 oz of steak hidden amongst a pound of bell peppers in a packaged salty fusion gravy, so salty it leaves your extremities looking like a pregnant women who just flew to Dubai and back. Had to use compression pants on the beach with my heals to the heavens to drain out the puffiness. Other items (ie tacos, burgers are not bad) 4.9 stars? Good one, lol. That’s a lot of fake Google accounts and drunk college students.
