BRU Burger Bar - Fort Wayne

We came in Saturday for a late lunch. It was not too busy. We sat at the bar. Staff was friendly and exceptionaly attentive. Clean restaurant and a fun atmosphere. We ordered bison burger, chili cheese fries, spicy margaritas, and the southern burger. Everything was great. The food came out perfect. No complaints here. Will definitely be coming back.

They have beers, wines and cocktails and offer a large variety of burgers, sandwiches and salads. They also have Vegetarian and Vegan options available. We tried the Vegetarian Black Bean Burger with a side of fries and the BRU Hot Chicken Sandwich bod which were quite delicious. Will be definitely coming back for more. The service is exceptional

Great lunch spot! Came with family and was impressed with the expansive menu and creative drink options. And there are vegetarian and vegan options!!!

Nice atmosphere and great food. I will go back again. Only thing bad is waiter kept wondering around without stopping and checking on us. Was not full so not sure what he was doing.

The burgers are delicious as well as the fries and onion rings. Logan is the consumate host and is on top of all aspects going on around him.

As always an outstanding meal served by an outstanding bartender. In a world so filled with disappointments it is refreshing to know that Olivia and the rest of the crew break the mold and never disappoint. Great food, amazing drinks, impeccable service!

This burger restaurant is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is nice. The food is over the top and service was excellent. It will be a repeat experience. Food was cooked perfectly with great flavor. The house made ketchup was superb. A must try.

Our server was Gwyn. She was outstanding. Very attentive and friendly. The food was wonderful. Lovely atmosphere. No rushing away from our table. Please give her the hamburger pen….she deserves it!

Madelyn was absolutely amazing. It's rare to have such a connection with a server that elevates my experience as much as she did. The atmosphere could have been less (not saying it was)... and I'd still want to return for another interaction with my bartender.

They have a really good burger! I would say one of the best in town! The service and atmosphere was definitely top notch. The fries were also fresh cut, and perfectly crispy. The only knock would be on their onion rings. They are on the thick side, and they lack a little flavor. Other than that Bru Burger is a top notch burger joint downtown!

Service was very friendly, attentive and helpful. Burgers were amazing and another guest walked by telling us to get the bread pudding because it was phenomenal so we did and it was!

We had a fantastic experience at Bru. We had a party of 6 which included two young kids. The service was good and the food was phenomenal. We will definitely be back to try more of their burgers!

We are from out of town and chose this place because a local recommended it. OMG. 10/10 on the burger. We got the Bru burger and the double bacon. Hands down, the best burger we’ve had (and we’ve had a lot). But wait, there’s more. The French fries? Yes, please. The best fries we’ve ever had. Their house ketchup is weird at first, but so delicious. You must try this place. Gwen was an amazing server. We are coming back for lunch tomorrow! We didn’t get pictures because we were too busy eating lol

Food was fire🔥🔥🔥. Service was so fast. The atmosphere was elegant. Madeline was hustling all night with a great attitude. She took very good care of us. 10/10.

I don't even like hamburgers so I get chicken tenders here and even those are amazing! I also love the three-dip appetizer. All of the burgers are very creative and I'm sure are delicious also. Plus, a lot (maybe all?) of their condiments are homemade - ketchup, ranch - it's so good!

I love their onion rings and homemade ketchup! I haven’t had a burger there I haven’t enjoyed. Service was quick, even on a busy Saturday night. We had reservations and were seated on time, and they didn’t make us wait for our whole party before seating us, which I really appreciated. Party of 8 and everyone loved their food!

The burgers are good. You can't go wrong with any choice you make on the menu It is on the landing. It is expensive so it will be better for special occasions. It closes at 10 pm. Only a good place. They do have a full bar and happy hour specials. I got the angry Mac and cheese with a black bean burger. I was very fun. The sides are separate from the food just a heads up

We always enjoy our burgers from Bru Burger. We shared a large salad and a burger. Both delicious. I had a Bramble on drink made with Woodford bourbon. The Bartender was helpful with offering suggestions and I'm glad I took her lead on the drink. I got a free bread pudding dessert for my birthday, you need to sign up for that though. All in all, a good date night.

Listen, this place is worth going out to dinner, my best compliment in an expensive economy and my "I can make that myself" era. You know what I can't make? An awesome server with a great attitude named Liv, who cheerfully and knowledgeably made sure our table's nut allergies were taken care of; kept those drinks full before we even clocked we were ready; and cracked jokes with not just us but everyone she interacted with, staff and customers. She's a petite ball of joy and I wish she could be cloned. Beyond Liv, the burgers were AWESOME, the pretzels and fries delicious, the dipping sauces on point (that aioli 🔥), and the Valencia salad was fresh and creative. The manager even stopped by tables, old school in a good way, making sure everyone was feeling Bru's excellent vibe. All of us left full and in a great mood. Don't sleep on this one (and ask for Liv, she's a blast!).

The food, atmosphere, and customer service are always exceptional here. The menu variety really stands out, and they have the best impossible burger I've tried at any restaurant. Plus, you'll have terrific personalities helping you out like Olivia, who was an absolute delight to chat with while she provided terrific hospitality. Highly recommended!

Visited Bru Burger Bar today for lunch and really enjoyed it. This is a gourmet burger joint with a bar serving mixed drinks and cocktails. They have 6 or so beers on tap and several other bottles and cans. Everything on the menu is a la carte. So your burger will not come with anything but the burger. The burgers range from $15 to $20. Check out the menu available online for more details here and for what all the burgers include. There were four of us in the group today and we started with an order of the Bru Fries. The dish is just that, a dish of fries but it comes with three sauces to dip the fries in. It's probably comfortably enough for two people plus the burger that you're going to get, but we managed to stretch this to four people so everyone could have a taste of the fries and all of the dips. It includes their house ketchup, pepper mayo, and a barbecue dipping sauce. I really enjoyed the House ketchup. I'm really not a fan of mayo on fries at all. I know I know being from the Midwest and all that's hearsay. The barbecue dipping sauce was okay but I preferred the house ketchup. We ordered four burgers pour sandwiches and we each enjoyed the style of burger that we ordered. We ordered the Nashville hot honey chicken sandwich, the Provincial, Stilton Bleu Cheese, and Chipotle BBQ burgers. I had the Chipotle BBQ burger which included an onion ring, BBQ pulled pork and white cheddar. I really enjoyed the burger. It was well cooked to order, juicy and bursting with flavor. The burger was plenty big enough for a meal and of course it had a generous helping of barbecue pulled pork on it as well so I had plenty to eat. There are many other styles of burgers that I would return to give a try as well. Even their basic double burger with bacon and cheese looked very good. It happened to be my birthday on the day we visited so we ordered the fudge brownie and the bread pudding for dessert. Each of them comes served with a scoop of ice cream. I had the bread pudding which was giving very strong peach cobbler vibes. I loved it. The fudge brownie came with a raspberry sauce along with the scoop of ice cream. They were both good but I preferred the bread pudding. I definitely do recommend this place for a stop for a good burger. I didn't try any of the cocktails or mixed drinks so that will be something I will need to try the next time I visit.

Patty Melts were great. Little too much breading on the onion rings, which made them dough. BUT the service and atmosphere was outstanding.

Loved the variety of burgers. They had a house ketchup which was filled with spices and much sweeter than regular ketchup. There were just enough sauce on the burgers, which was really nice. They had some good drinks with nice garnishes. Most bars do not have the right garnish for them. The onion rings were light and flaky and the French fries were flavorful and crisp.

1st time here. Burgers were good. Triple dip was very good. Great wait staff. Price a little too high. Overall A- 😎👌

I was pleasantly surprised with my BruBurger experience. Being someone who is Gluten Free it can be challenging to find a solid burger joint. They offered my a gluten free menu to look over during the brief wait for my table. To my delight, there was not an upcharge for gluten free options. The entire staff (from server to kitchen crew) took my dietary needs into sensitive consideration including using a separate fryer for my fries. I loved being able to choose from a versatile menu with ranges in flavor profiles. The Provencal burger was cooked medium-rare upon request. The basil aioli up-leveled the taste even more. The fries had the perfect crisp to fresh ratio. Additionally, the seasoning was salty with what seemed like a hint of sweet. I requested a side of truffle mayo to dip them and that was absolutely the move. I will definitely be back to continue working my way through the menu. Their General Manager, Logan, is incredibly kind, personable, and has customer needs at the forefront of all he's doing. He checked in on our table and made sure everyone's experience was up to standard. Future Tip: Booking a reservation in advance is always helpful.

Popped in for lunch. It took a minute for us to see our server, but when we did she was awesome! Super helpful and very friendly. I got the Southern with onion rings and my friend got the Bru Burger with Fries. We both loved our burgers. Wish we could have been around for their happy hour. They have great deals.

Food was very good! Seating outside was nice but keep.in mind it's dog friendly if your not a dog lover you may prefer inside or somewhere else. Good location, staff was friendly. We would definitely eat there again.

Overall experience was a good one. I had the Chipotle BBQ, which was delicious, but got several fatty bites which about made me gag. LOL The fries were delicious with a hit of sweet to them. The onion rings were fresh and scrumptious. I HIGHLY recommend the Pear Cosmo!

The burgers were actually very good. Not exactly number one in the world but still extremely tasty and enough so to justify the price; this isn't some typical overprised millennial burger joint. The service was fairly standard but in good way, attentive and friendly. Atmosphere was fine, no real gimmick or anything but perfectly satisfactory. Clean and tasty. I have to say though I don't recommend the patty melt, one of those things that always looks or sounds good but just wasn't that satisfying.

To start, the food was excellent and the pricing was fair. No complaints with anything to do with taste and food options, all of the above were amazing! My issue is with our server that we had last night, Conner. We walked in and were seated right away by the hostess, and to mention, by the bar they had a specials sign with a blueberry lemon milkshake. Once we were seated, we ordered 2 of those because they looked good and he said sure thing! So he left, came back a few minutes later with 2 milkshakes, but said they switched the specials on him so he brought us 2 cold-brew milkshakes instead, took our order and left. My date didn't mind it because she is a coffee person, whereas I am not, so I patiently waited for Conner to come back. 20 minutes later, he brings us our appetizer (which was pretty good) and I asked for either a vanilla or strawberry, but he said he could make the blueberry milkshake one happen instead, so I asked for that. Another 20 minutes go by, our food comes out and he tells me that he will make sure they are getting to the milkshake for me. Our food is now half eaten and we are starting to get stuffed. This is when the correct milkshake comes to our table, and it was pretty good. We waited a long while for Conner to come ask us if we needed boxes but it took so long, I ended up asking another waiter to get us boxes. Conner noticed that we were boxing up our food and asked if we wanted the check, I said yes please. Brings us the check and I pull out my card and wait yet again, for him to come process our bill. To summarize, we loved the food. Loved the venue. Every other server but ours was constantly checking on their tables, making sure the food was good, and if anyone needed anything. We never got checked on, never got asked how the food was, nor if we needed any refills on water. Will be back but will ask for a different server than this time.

We waited a long time to get served, and they did comp one item so that was nice. The onion rings were chewy and flavorless. The chili cheese fries were good. The patty melt I got was way overcooked and just not very good, I always get better at a place like steak and shake. The dipping sauce was weird, I dunno if I liked it. My daughter's burger, we asked to be cooked medium, was overcooked and way over even well done. The service was good once we got the order in. Overall, I just can't recommend as the food was all over the place and not done well for the price.

I tried this place for the first time back in March. Food was great but took forever, I sat by the kitchen area and it was obvious the cooks were more busy flirting and joking around than cooking. The female cooks were in leggings and hair on their face (I've worked in a restaurant before and that's not typical attire). I decided to give it a chance again and went in this past Saturday and there was a long red hair on my fries (my hair is black). this place has potential but for now, no thanks.

Waited longer than our reservation was set for. When arriving we were told the reservation was for 7:30 when we set it for 7. Their continous lack of awareness of their surroundings by all of the hostesses and management. I would 11/10 skip this location. Their efforts, or blatant lack of, service was highly disappointing. We left and found a better option.
