Absolutely amazing food! Great service and cute vibes. Everything is fresh and prepared when you order. If you get here at rush hours be prepared to wait awhile (we waited about a hour and half) for the food, but well done worth it. I wish more restaurants make food with this amount of love and freshness. A must go place!!
The food here was amazing. As other reviewers have noted, dishes do take a bit of time since they’re prepared individually, but it’s absolutely worth the wait. Everything we tried tasted genuinely authentic, and you definitely have to try the juicesb as they were fantastic. We were staying at a nearby motel, and it was a convenient walk to the restaurant. Our server, Moba (sp?), was wonderful, incredibly attentive, generous with his time, and very careful to check that we didn’t have any dietary restrictions. Overall, a great experience and a spot we’d happily recommend.
Walked in late Christmas evening, so unbelievable how we were treated to a very lovely pasta and salad dinner ON THE HOUSE! And very yummy cupcakes to go too! My husband and I will definitely go back. The best Christmas gift this year! Thanks guys!
Stopped here for a late lunch while driving to LA. This was an unexpected amazing find when searching for healthy food. Ordered Red Elixir juice, Thai Coconut Curry and Mixed Mushroom Soba. All of which was very fresh and tasty. The Red Elixir juice was very refreshing that we ordered to go for the drive as well. It was a very satisfying meal. Loved the serene spiritual atmosphere. The service also was excellent. Knew about the wait times, but we did not mind and it wasn’t that long either.
Quality: The food quality was really good Taste: They had a mix of Indian food with other flavors interspersed, which gave a new spin on the standard dishes and new alike. We had the pizza, Thai curry and pakodas (a hit with the kids) Time: They were great on time although we were last minute orders and were kind and accommodating. Ambiance: It was family friendly, calm and nice in the middle of the mountains. At a min. was a pleasant surprise with awesome vegetarian food enroute to South Bay from LA. Clearly, worth the small detour if you would like to get some good food enroute.
We had a wonderful experience at Red Dot, a love-filled space where the food is clearly so thoughtfully created and made from scratch. It was SO YUMMY, would definitely go back! Close to a Tesla charger, so if you aren’t in a major rush on a road trip, you can combine your stop as we did. We got the German breakfast potatoes, I Love Breakfast Burrito, and Indian masala chais made with a blend of soy and coconut milk. Vegetarian and vegan friendly, with tons of options. Go here!
It was an impromptu stop while driving from San Diego to San Jose. A must visit. They make everything from scratch and pay attention to every detail. The place in itself is so calm that you will feel zen immediately. The food is just amazing! We had paneer stuffed paratha and chai which were great!
Red Dot kitchen is more than a restaurant - it is an experience and I could elaborate on, but let me focus my review on food alone. Everything you order is prepared from scratch, and I mean that literally. More so than the grand weekend meal you prepare in your own kitchen. You could feel that in everything, e.g. paneer was fresh, likely made from milk in-house. Hummus was fresh, so were all curries. Pita and Naan were fresh, and you could feel in ever bite. Our youngest one doesn't particularly like Indian food(because that's what he eats every day :), but he just couldn't stop eating and his dish at red dot. We ordered four different dishes that require very different preparations (a Mediterranean, a Thai, two Indian dishes). Yes, it did take time to prepare them, more than you are used to waiting at a restaurant, but the food that came to our table was worth all the waiting. We spent our time reading books from mini library, so we didn't mind waiting. We were also engrossed, chatting with one of the staff. Portions are large so probably order less than you usually do (we came hungry having spent day at Universal studio theme park, yet we found it hard to finish all four dishes between four of us). Highly recommended.
A very unexpected find in Frazier Park, CA. We were traveling between Riverside and the Central Valley region and needed a lunch stop. This restaurant has an extensive menu of vegetarian food options. We ordered tea and a few of the Indian food options and everything tasted fresh and delicious! They make everything from scratch which can lead to a slower service pace but the food is very much worth it.
The food is amazing and the atmosphere is also serene. The people that prepare your food are kind as well; however, be prepared to wait almost an hour to get what you ordered because they prepare all their food from scratch. I was told that we could call ahead and then we wouldn't have to wait as long. Also, they tend to be more busy during the holiday season when there are more travelers on the road. This is a very spiritual place and I definitely plan to go back again and again. If you're looking to nourish your body, your heart and your soul, this is the place.
Incredible food, you can feel the love and care put into each dish which are made from scratch and highly customizable. Overheard the waiter say they have 1000 recipes but put 100 on the menu. Anywhere else this would be a Michelin star restaurant or maybe it is. Family style is the way to go to experience all flavors. As mentioned it’s 1-2+ hours so bring some chatty friends or a good book! Only recommendation would be turning into a multiple course version tapas style but can’t complain.
If you're looking for fresh taste in vegetarian food, this place delivers! Every dish is carefully cooked to perfection, highlighting the natural flavors of the ingredients. The dedication to quality and freshness truly shines through in every bite. Highly recommended for anyone who loves well-prepared, delicious vegetarian meals! .. Just couple of miles away from freeway 5, better order online before going to the restaurant as they make everything from scratch and expected wait time to be more than 30-70 min.
If you are planning to dine at this establishment, it's important to note that the wait for your meal may range from 30 minutes to up to 2 hours. However, the staff thoughtfully informs guests about the wait time in advance, so there are no surprises. If you're in a rush, fast food options like Wendy's and Jack in the Box are conveniently located nearby along the I-5. That said, if you are not in a hurry, I wholeheartedly recommend taking the time to dine here. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff goes above and beyond to provide an exceptional dining experience. Their friendliness and attentiveness create a welcoming environment that enhances the overall experience. Now, let's talk about the food—absolutely phenomenal. Every dish is an extraordinary combination of fresh, high-quality ingredients, meticulously prepared and presented. The flavors are bold, perfectly balanced, and nothing short of spectacular. It's clear that a great deal of care and expertise goes into every meal. I only wish I had more time to explore the full menu, as I can confidently say I’ll be returning to try even more of their offerings. Overall, this place is well worth the wait. The remarkable food quality and outstanding customer service make it a dining experience you won’t regret.
Holy moly. Delicious!! Highly recommend. The vegan French toast was out of this world. Staff was incredibly friendly and atmosphere was very peaceful. Not a quick place to eat - everything is made from scratch per order so it takes a long time, especially if there is a crowd. Worth the wait!
One of my favorite places ever! If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. We have visited this restaurant about 5 times on our way to LA. This place is one of the reasons why I think Google reviews should exist. The place is small and hidden in a forest (will need a 5 minute detour), but once you find it, you will not regret. Tons of vegan and vegetarian options. The places has about 6 tables, so I would recommend calling them in advance and placing an order. They make everything from scratch. The staff is warm and friendly. The pictures below are all vegan food. The chicken tikka masala curry and buckwheat pancake is a must try. They also have multiple coffees and seasonal drinks. We went during Christmas, so it was decorated very well.
It can be difficult to find good food on your journey down the grapevine. The Red Dot will make you happy and grateful that the winding road took you through this part of California! This place is an absolute gem. Well worth the 4 minute detour from the highway! The food was spectacular-you simply can’t go wrong. Healthy, hearty, and bursting with flavor, everything we had was exceptionally delicious. The wait can be long so call and order ahead, they’ll have it ready for you when you arrive. Don’t expect anything fancy from the atmosphere, though the decor is genuine, authentic and warm: a mixture of traditional Indian decor with American seasonal trinkets and lots of interesting house plants nursing their way through the winter season. The staff is so kind and the food is clearly prepared with all the love and care they describe on their website. Worth a stop on your way in or out of LA!
Very cute place with a great Indian vibe. A wide assortment of Asian, Mediterranean, and Indian vegetarian food. They do warn you that the food is made to order and it's all from base ingredients. Just be aware it could take an hour or two to get your food. I found the wait to be excessive. Especially for the flatbread that we had to take to go. The food was excellent quality and the staff very friendly. I love that there's a vegetarian place to stop by if you're going through the grapevine. But just make sure you have the time to appreciate it and not burn your mouth on the piping hot curry.
