I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tienda Vieja for my daughter Communion Celebration, and I can confidently say that it deserves every one of these five stars! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a welcoming atmosphere that immediately made me feel at home. The customer service at Tienda Vieja is truly exceptional. The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Our server Geral took the time to explain the specials of the day and even offered great recommendations based on our preferences. It was clear that the entire team is dedicated to providing an outstanding dining experience. They checked in on us regularly without being intrusive, making sure our drinks were always full and that we had everything we needed. Each dish we ordered was a delightful masterpiece. The flavors were bold and well-balanced, showcasing the chef's expertise and making you feel at home(Colombia) The ambiance of the restaurant adds to the overall experience, with its charming decor and inviting vibe. It’s the perfect spot for a casual dinner or a special celebration. We left Tienda Vieja feeling satisfied and eager to return, as there are so many more dishes and drinks to try! Seriously amazing and delicious Colombian restaurant in Queens. Definitely a hidden gem!! I've been to other places in Queens and by far Tienda Vieja exceeds the others. Everything was cooked to perfection and was so satisfying. This was one of those meals that leave you so happy and comforted lol. We will absolutely be back. Kudos to the chef for a delicious meal. 👏👏👏

The food was great. The picada is easily for 2-3 people and was delicious! Had real Colombian Cali type salsa music playing! Really enjoyed a nice afternoon lunch with my date. Already planning on bringing his parents. Colombian approved.

Went with my wife to try it out and we were not disappointed. Chorizo and salad was excellent. Had also the homemade soup with beef and sweet plantains which was phenominal. The Bistek salteado was insanely good "off the charts" with deliciiusness!!! Service was excellent as well with a friendly server who made us feel welcome and gave us great customer service. Nice big spacious clean restaurant decorated nicely. Ended with some Colombian coffee which was noce and strong and flavorful just as we wanted it. Were too full for dessert but next visit for sure we will try some as they have a big selection to choose from as well. We really enjoyed every dish we ordered and had a relaxing and satisfying evening out. 5 star rating for excellence!!

First and foremost, I'm a very picky guy when it comes to restaurant. This restaurant is one of my best. For $10 you get a soup, rice, maduro, 1/4 baked chicken. Very delicious. I recommend this place.

Love Love Love! We went for the first time on Valentine's Day 2021. They just re-opened from the Covid kndoor dining closures at 25% capacity. Everything was soooo clean. Great spacing for social distance. Even clorox wipes in the bathroom. The food: incredible! I had the grilled steak with peppers and onions white rice and red beans. And my boyfriend had the strak with seafood platter with yellow rice and black beans. We also had empanadas and arepas with cheese. Both came with a side salad. Everything was so very delicious. Portions are big, which is great. The prices are great and the service was great! Very nice and fast. We will definitely be regulars here. Can't wait to go back.

Went here today based on the Google Reviews and Photos, and am I ever so happy that I did. First, it is on a quiet street and has a very neighborhood, local feel to it. Plenty of parking, and the outdoor seating area is comfortable, appropriately distanced, and there is a tent as well as fans, to keep things cool and comfortable under the summer sun. Second, the place is clean and neat. Bathroom was very clean. Third, our waitress (Geraldine) and another woman (Catalina) were very friendly, welcoming, and made sure that we loved our food and drinks. Which brings me to the fourth item...the food and drinks. Absolutely perfect. We got a pitcher of the Red Sangria (and it is one of the best I've ever had, and I've tried many). Appetizers were Empanadas with Cheese, and Sweet Plantain with Guava and Cheese - both of which were perfect! For the main course, we got the Paella with Seafood and Chicken - which comes with a side of salad and plantains - and it was absolutely fresh, flavorful, and delicious! We were 2 people and there was enough Paella for 4 people. Lastly, the prices were EXCELLENT! It was an all around wonderful experience for a Sunday afternoon! I can't wait to go back and try other dishes. Be sure to check it out soon!
