We invited friends to Nishiki on a Friday night for dinner, and truly enjoyed it. From the moment you walk in, the warm hospitality sets the tone for an evening of exquisite food and top-tier service. The highlight of the meal was the perfectly cooked scallops—delicately seared to a golden perfection on the outside while remaining buttery and tender inside. Each bite melted in my mouth, bursting with umami flavors enhanced by a subtle sauce and egg yolk. Equally impressive was the sashimi combo, which was a true work of art. The presentation was stunning, with vibrant, fresh cuts of fish arranged beautifully on ice, showcasing the chef’s attention to detail. Every piece was expertly sliced, boasting a clean, pure taste that only the highest quality seafood can offer. They also serve Sake and Japanese beer such as Asahi and Sapporo. The service was just as remarkable. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that each dish was served at the perfect pace. Their willingness to make thoughtful recommendations added to the overall experience. Whether you’re a seasoned sushi lover or new to Japanese cuisine, Nishiki delivers on all fronts. With its outstanding food, impeccable service, and elegant ambiance, this is a place worth returning to again with my friends.

The service was amazing and very welcoming. Our sushi rolls were some of the best sushi I have had in the Houston area. Definitely need to make this place a go-to for your sushi night.

I was honestly shocked to find such a hidden gem! The vibe and decoration of Nishiki are beautiful — it feels upscale yet welcoming. Every dish we tried was excellent, and the presentation was just as good as the taste. The sunomono salad was my absolute favorite — fresh, light, and flavorful. I’ve had edamame at many places before, but here it tasted completely different — way more delicious and memorable. Our server, Bryce, was very professional and friendly. He took the time to ask about my preferences and suggested sushi rolls that matched exactly what I like — and they were really tasty! The dessert (fried ice cream) was okay — I’ve had it better elsewhere when it was crispier on the outside, but it was still a nice way to end the meal. Overall, I highly recommend this place and would definitely come back. It’s rare to find somewhere that hits all the marks: great food, great service, and a beautiful atmosphere.

Easily one of the best sushi places in the Houston area. We've been a few times and every visit excels the last. The quality of the food, drinks, service and overall atmosphere make it perfect for a date night or a place to eat before a night out. We're officially regulars!

First time visiting… Ambience is a vibe, you get a big city immersive feel. We sat at the sushi bar, chefs were very friendly & engaged in conversation. They were kind to give free samples. Food was delicious. Tastes were complex & full of flavor, everything about the place was premium to me. Service was very quick despite being a Friday night at 7-8pm. This place really has it together! Well recommended 5* 👍🏻

This place is a MUST! No matter where you live—you need to come here! The ambiance is a solid 10. The restaurant is so glam and beautifully designed, with fresh, carefully curated details that make the entire experience feel elevated and special. We ordered the Umami Roll—exquisite. The Akami was out of this world, a must-try! The Dancing Roll and Pepper Tuna Roll were also absolutely delicious. The Pepper Tuna, in particular, was amazing, and the Sunomono was unlike anything we've had before (and we’ve tried Sunomono everywhere—we’re obsessed!). My husband had the seafood soup, and he loved it—so flavorful and comforting. My cocktail was perfectly balanced, not too sweet like you get at most places. My husband, who’s very picky about his drinks, was impressed that they made his just the way he likes it. Service was outstanding—our waitress was extremely attentive and polite, which is rare these days. We have to come back and try everything else on the menu. The prices are EXCELLENT for the quality of food and service you get—there’s really nothing to complain about. Thank you for creating such an amazing place!

Phenomenal service, high quality cuts of fish, incredible rolls. Not the biggest fan of the rice cakes but other than that, everything exceeded our expectations. The grilled edamame was top tier, truffle roll was bomb, and the fish was even better! Best salmon I’ve ever had. Fatty tuna melted what an experience. Chopped scallops super fresh and flavorful. Really enjoyed the service and quality of food.

We went here for the first time today for lunch, and it was great! Definitely a more upscale sushi restaurant for the pearland area. We tried various sushi items, the grilled edamame (SO good), and the crispy rice cakes (this was my favorite). I saw some mixed reviews about the rice cakes so i wasn't sure, but they were amazing! The sauce really elevated the flavor. We also had an off menu uni sushi, which was pricey, but really good. The madai nigiri was probably my favorite, and the umami roll was delicious. Lily was our waitress and she was amazing! We had our 14 month old with us and the servers played peek-a-boo with her and gave her a lot of attention. They were very accommodating, and we were able to order a side of rice for her even though it wasn't on the menu. This is a great date spot for the pearland area 10/10 recommend.

Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, exceptional service! The servers work as a team to bring out all the dishes and our main server was Logan. He made sure our drinks never dipped below halfway and recommended some truly phenomenal dishes like the grilled edamame and sizzling rock beef. He even showed us how to cook and season the beef on the hot stone. It made our experience extra special! We love sushi and this place had the freshest fish we’ve ever tasted! We’ll definitely be back!

New spot in the neighborhood that everyone seems to love, so I had to stop by. It wasn't crowded for a Friday night. The place is well decorated and stylish without feeling stuffy. The staff was great and one gentleman was very helpful with drink selections (good Japanese wiskey selection) and offered dessert, in which we declined as I overate😂 I don't think anything I had was bad but I definitely preferred the truffle fried rice and super tiger roll. There's a lot more I want to try, so I'll be back. The check came out a little slow but not a huge issue at all

Since then, I’ve brought friends, swapped bites across the table, and tried nearly everything on the menu. I’ve yet to be disappointed. From the expertly seasoned carpaccios to the decadently comforting Japanese fried rice, every dish is thoughtfully prepared and beautifully plated. The Kawaii Roll is a standout, and the ishiyaki—especially the wagyu—feels like a little ceremony every time it arrives sizzling to the table. Today, I tried the creamy rock shrimp for the first time, and yep… another favorite. And it’s not just the food. The vibe is warm and elevated, with soft lighting, sleek decor, and an energy that makes you want to linger. The bar crafts cocktails that complement the menu perfectly, and the service? Impeccable. Jenna and Wendy have both been incredible—knowledgeable, welcoming, and attentive. The manager, Eric, always makes the rounds, checking in on guests with genuine warmth. And once in a while, the sushi bar will surprise you with a little off-menu gift—one of those thoughtful touches that keeps you coming back. Nishiki has quickly become my go-to for everything from girls’ nights to quiet dinners with my husband. Seriously the BEST Sushi restaurant in Pearland. My wife and I are regulars here.. we typically dine here once and week. This review is long over due!! The food and service is phenomenal.. If you’re in search of QUALITY sushi this is the place to be!! Did I mention how elevated the place is?! If you live five star dining without the drive you’ll enjoy this place. As regulars we’ve tried several dishes on the menu and it never disappoints!! The drinks are amazing as well! The staff is super friendly and very accommodating.. I love that the owner & manager Eric is very personable and makes it a point to speak every time. I love that they go the extra mile and send over surprises to our table. This is our family go-to when it comes to sushi and Japanese food. Every server is exceptional with an array of knowledge regarding the menu. We have never had a bad item on the menu or something we didn't enjoy. If I could give this place 10 Stars I would. The truffle fried rice and umami roll are a favorite!

We were completely woooowed to find this hidden gem in Pearland! Being foodies and new to Texas from Seattle, we’ve been a bit spoiled by the amazing food scene there—and have been on a serious hunt around Houston for that same level of quality, ambiance, and customer service we’re used to as Seattleites. This place absolutely impressed us. Everything from the freshness of the sushi to the warm, attentive service was top-notch. I actually wanted to go back the very next day—it was that good! This is definitely our new spot, and I’ll be telling everyone about this lovely restaurant. Highly recommend!

ANGELINA is the best!!!!!! The quality of this restaurant is incredible all around, from the food to the drinks to the hostesses the chefs the bussers and especially the wait staff!!! I had dinner here last night with my boyfriend and we could not have asked for a better experience. Angelina was our waitress and she went above and beyond. Her recommendations were top notch, she was so kind and friendly that I’ll make sure to ask for her everytime we go back!! 5 stars all around, can’t wait to make this a regular dinner spot even though we live 30 minutes away. Again, i can’t emphasize enough how awesome Angelina is!!!!

I had the pleasure of trying out Nishiki Japanese Restaurant for a weekend lunch. Upon arriving I noticed the decor is gorgeous and the restaurant is set up to block the busy plaza parking lot and road, so it feels private. The seating was comfortable and inviting. We had no wait time and all staff we interacted with (hostess, server, food runner, sushi chefs) were excellent in their roles. Gianfranco attended to us and was knowledgeable in the cuisine and provided the best service. The pricing was fair for the quality and type of cuisine. For starters we ordered the tiger prawn ceviche with taro chips, miso soup and the scottish salmon sashimi. The ceviche was refreshing, the sashimi was savory and the miso soup was a bit above basic. As far as rolls, we had the super tiger eye, umami and wagyu. The umami and wagyu rolls were absolutely amazing! I couldn’t choose a favorite because each were so unique. The pairing ingredients were memorable and left us wanting to re-experience our meal yet also left us curious as to what other culinary creations are must-trys here. I will return to explore the cocktails and menu further. From my experience, this is the best sushi in the Pearland area!

AND… This place is without a doubt, the best Japanese I’ve ever had! It’s right next to the Residence Inn by Marriott, where I stay during my travels. It’s located perfectly! LOOK AT MY PICS 🤤 The pics do zero justice to the actual quality and taste of the food. Everything is so fresh and of such amazing quality. The food quality and the exceptional service of the staff makes every bite worth it. It also has a very good date night vibe! Lights are just right and ambiance is perfect. Guys, this is the place you take a woman. Just a word of advice 🫡 During the next 3 months while I’m in Pearland, I’m going to be this restaurants best customer! For any and all business travelers, for anyone trying to find the perfect date restaurant, for families, and for the wise…. I suggest that when you’re in the Houston area, take some extra time, even if it’s out of your way and GET YOU SOME NISHIKI!!!

There's no need to head to the Heights or Uptown for top-notch Japanese cuisine, this neighborhood gem has it all. The variety of sushi is excellent. The truffle fried rice is my personal favorite. Cocktails are always great. The service is consistently outstanding. The outdoor seating is comfortable, and parking is not a problem.

February 27, 2026 - I came here for lunch with my friend during work. When we entered, we thought we were underdressed, but the host told us we were okay, while wearing gym clothes attire. We entered and were seated. The decor was top tier with great color scheme and furniture. The restroom was clean. The waitress Ms Victoria was thorough kind and attentive with her service. The food was delicious. You can taste the difference between this place and some random restaurant down the street. I have been to many sushi or restaurants in the area, but this one is top of my list. If you’re interest in quality food and service, this is the place for you. Give it a go!

They make everything fresh, and from what I can tell, fresh ingredients are made with a team of experts behind the scenes. They have such precision and focus as they are slicing and dicing. The flavors of everything I ordered blended perfectly. Sitting at the sushi bar area, the sushi staff decided to make a special and just handed it off to me, remembering that I had a shellfish allergy. Looking at the meal ticket, they were also very clear about my allergies, and I noticed they washed their hands, cleaned the surface, and changed their gloves in extra preparation. For someone with an allergy, it's very much appreciated how they take that extra special care and precaution. This is definitely a place I would recommend coming to for a date night or any other occasion. I would definitely recommend coming back to this space if you enjoy sushi and fresh ingredients.

Hi came on Valentine’s Day it was a nice crowd. We ordered the shag roll 10/10 , a nice cocktail ( server rec ) and the Japanese rice and noodles. Mr.Eric the manager came chat with us and offered us to try some steak. It was delicious. We will be back to try more sushi.

Stopped by after work because I was really craving Japanese food, and I’m so glad I did! Everything was healthy, refined, and authentically Japanese. My husband and I are moving to the pearland area soon & we are trying new places for food. We were absolutely blown away by Nishiki. When we walked in we were very impressed by the decor. Everything felt very “bougie” but, it was very comfortable which is a hard thing to achieve in my opinion. Our waitress Aneisha had great knowledge of the menu and was very nice. One thing my husband and I enjoyed was there were other waitresses that refilled our waters and took plates when we finished as well. The food was out of this world. Everything we got was something we would hands down order again. All of the ingredients tasted fresh. My husband and I noticed they had micro cilantro along with other plants on the counter to place fresh greens for garnish. The manager came by and introduced himself and sent a surprise to our table. We had a fantastic lunch. We will 110% be back any chance we get.

Who said Pearland cannot make you feel like you are at a high end sushi bar in Houston?? This Sushi restaurant is the BEST in Pearland. There is no other place like in nearby. If you like high end sushi but hate to drive down 288 to Houston please, please go here. They do not use any imitation crab, it is all authentic, real flavors and seafood. From their salads, to appetizers to rolls and drinks this restaurant is top quality in a local city. Everything we have tried on the menu is superb! I would recommend this for a date night, to take family or friends that are visiting or just a nice night out in town. Show them Pearland has great food! Loved everything the waiter recommended us . Can’t remember the names of the signature sushi rolls but they were all amazing . Loved the atmosphere and music they had in the background. We finally went here for dinner. We waited for 15 minutes at their outdoor patio to get seated inside. Our waitress, Victoria, was awesome. She found out that it was our first time eating there so she explained the menu to us and made recommendations based on our preferences. The grilled edamame was delicious so we’re the other food that we ordered. She also made sure our daughter had a birthday treat, which was fried ice cream. We’ll definitely come back.

The Kawaii Roll is a standout, and the ishiyaki—especially the wagyu—feels like a little ceremony every time it arrives sizzling to the table. Today, I tried the creamy rock shrimp for the first time, and yep… another favorite. And it’s not just the food. The vibe is warm and elevated, with soft lighting, sleek decor, and an energy that makes you want to linger. The bar crafts cocktails that complement the menu perfectly, and the service? Impeccable. Jenna and Wendy have both been incredible—knowledgeable, welcoming, and attentive. The manager, Eric, always makes the rounds, checking in on guests with genuine warmth. And once in a while, the sushi bar will surprise you with a little off-menu gift—one of those thoughtful touches that keeps you coming back. Nishiki has quickly become my go-to for everything from girls’ nights to quiet dinners with my husband. It’s the kind of place you want to tell everyone about—but also kind of want to keep to yourself.

Who said Pearland cannot make you feel like you are at a high end sushi bar in Houston?? This Sushi restaurant is the BEST in Pearland. There is no other place like in nearby. If you like high end sushi but hate to drive down 288 to Houston please, please go here. They do not use any imitation crab, it is all authentic, real flavors and seafood. From their salads, to appetizers to rolls and drinks this restaurant is top quality in a local city. Everything we have tried on the menu is superb! I would recommend this for a date night, to take family or friends that are visiting or just a nice night out in town. Show them Pearland has great food! The pictures shown are some of our favorites, I have been here numerous times.

We finally went here for dinner. We waited for 15 minutes at their outdoor patio to get seated inside. Our waitress, Victoria, was awesome. She found out that it was our first time eating there so she explained the menu to us and made recommendations based on our preferences. The grilled edamame was delicious so we’re the other food that we ordered. She also made sure our daughter had a birthday treat, which was fried ice cream. We’ll definitely come back.

The quality of the food is always consistent and fantastic. Our server, Allen 🫡, was the best—such a positive, polite person, and his recommendations were spot on, a treat for our taste buds. Absolutely love this place! The sushi is always amazingly fresh—some of the best I’ve ever had. Eric’s recommendations are consistently spot on, and he always knows just what to suggest. The atmosphere is excellent: clean, welcoming, and perfect for a relaxing night out. Highly recommend to anyone who loves quality sushi and great service!

We stayed in Pearland for NCA Championship, came from ATX so have high standards from a foodie standpoint. Nashiki was such a great find — super cute atmosphere with an elevated but welcoming vibe. The food quality was amazing across the board. The miso soup was fresh and comforting, and the sushi & sashimi were incredibly fresh, flavorful, and refreshing (you can truly taste the quality of the fish 🍣). Even dessert impressed — the rice pudding and fried ice cream were the perfect sweet finish. Service was attentive and polished, and the Nashiki Mule was so good. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to when back in this area. We were impressed by the bill as it wasn’t overpriced, but tasted like it - experience very as high level!

Stopped by after a nail appointment and was immediately pleasantly surprised. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting, and the host greeted me warmly and even suggested menu items without me having to ask. What started as a quick to-go stop quickly turned into staying a while. My husband joined me, and we ordered the soba noodles and don nabe…10/10, absolutely amazing! As I’m writing this, I honestly wish I had more. The drinks were also really good and definitely did what they were supposed to do. The restaurant wasn’t crowded, the wait time was minimal, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. I loved knowing the ingredients are imported from Japan (no imitation crab in the sushi, which we truly appreciated). We loved everything and will definitely be back. It’s always a win to find a new staple date-night spot right in our own backyard. I genuinely forgot I was in Pearland for a moment, because we don’t have many places with this kind of ambiance out here.

I tried this place for the 1st time and I rate it a 6/10. The place is extremely cozy and the staff was friend friendly. I ordered the edamame, lychee Martin and truffle fried rice. The drink was a little too watered down for me. The edamame was delicious but I wasn’t expecting okra in my fried rice. It wasn’t bad I just wouldn’t get it again.

The crispy rice cake was an interesting dish with a nice sauce. Not too sure about the purpose of the snow crab on the plate though. The rolls were good - ingredients were fresh. The maguro flight was a little disappointing as the quality wasn’t there. The sake sashimi was pleasantly seasoned. Overall the food was decent. Would go back if I happen to be in the area.
