Dave & Buster's - Gainesville

Arrived around 4:30pm. Happy Hour was available. $5 on almost all drinks on menu. Staff/bartender were pleasant and food was delicious. Fun atmosphere/music selection was great. This Dave & Buster's is smaller than the one I have been to in Panama City but it still has nice selections of arcade games.

My Son , his girlfriend and I had a wonderful time. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. Lots of fun games. I would highly recommend

Been here several times. It's fun for adults and it's great to get my teenagers off their gadgets and out of the house! We came here to celebrate our middle child's 17th birthday. Even got our 23 yr old to join us! Had a blast. Service was great! I'll be honest the food is a little pricey but is good! Will definitely be back!

Never been to this location before. It's a lot smaller than the ones I've visited before (the game room). I loved the dining area! We had a oftice Christmas Party there and the wait staff was great! The food...no complaints from any of my co-workers. In fact everyone finished their plates except for 2 of us. I, myself had the full-slab of ribs. It was plenty! I knew I would only be able to eat 2 bones and a few fries. But the rest went home for the next couple days. The Dave&Busters in Orlando, the game room is huge(many more games), their dining or service has nothing on the Gainesville location. 😊 Thanks!

My wife and I just love this place. The food is excellent. The drinks are excellent. First place I found in Gainesville where I can get Myers Rum. I couldn't play to much today because of my broken bones. I think we now have over 10 000 tickets. I'm looking for a huge stuffed animal for Hanni. I have been trying to win my wife the biggest bear in the storm.

Glad we didn’t listen to the reviews. We had absolutely, great service! Sat at the bar, had our drinks in 30 seconds. Wings came 10 minutes later followed by our meals 15 minutes later. Food was hot & delicious! Grabbed some game play and finished it off with smiles. Thank you for a good date night with the Wifee!

Had a ball here at Dave & Buster’s today! Our Big Brother|Big Sister group event was a huge success. My little, her brother and I played games for 2 hours - I think they could have kept plating forever, but they wore me out 😂Dave & Busters served a buffet lunch which included, cheese and hamburger sliders, pizza, chicken nuggets, Mac ‘n Cheese and very good French fries. The kids thought the food was awesome 👏 The atmosphere here is very fun, it’s clean and even offers a bar for grownups to sit while the kids play. Bottom line: Looking for fun? I highly recommend Heading on over to Dave & Buster’s 🏀 🧸 🍔 🍟

Had an awesome time with friends at this Dave & Buster’s! The games and food were great, but the real standout was the management. Mr. Smith, the manager, was super chill and made sure we had a blast. His vibe made this location special—I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone!

I was here with a group of 40 people for dinner on a Saturday night. The service was phenomenal! We were in 8:15 and out by 9:30, and the kids got a chance to play a few games. Great experience!

Mr. Smith personally helped me resolve an issue I had with the payment of my card, and created a very friendly environment. Overall one of the best customer service days I have ever had including my very nice cashier. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was in a dark place, I lost my house i lost all my money, and my son moved away. I was at all time low. I came to this dave and busters to get away from all the horrible things happening in my life. I felt there was nothing going for me then here comes mr.smith. He came and sat with me gently speaking to me as someone who cared. He gave me 50 thousand dollars to get back on my feet and brought me to rehab every single day to make me become a better person. Its been 2 years now and I am now in contact with my son and fully rehabilitated. I could never repay mr smith for what he has done for me he is a class act human being and should be praised for the man he is. Thank you mr smith. To many more years of calling you my friend.

This location is very clean and well kept. The employees are great, especially the black man who seems to be the boss (manager maybe?). His service and kindness was impeccable, truly class act, best in the business. Keep it up at this location 🙏🙏

Out of all Dave and Busters locations this one has style. Class. Refinement. When you enter you can play the arcade or enjoy the bar. But the moment you settle and feel an energy. A power. A presence. You feel the raw aura of Mr. Smith. You’ll know he’s there. Not in a bad way. But the entire ambiance changes. Warmer, happier. 10/10

Mr smith. Highly loveable guy treated my family right and if I had him in my business. He would be the only person I’d count on. Blessings your way Mr smith. 10/10 on food. And 20/10 on service especially from Mr smith.

They have the nicest and best mangers who I behave is the owner. I think his name was smith. I saw the video when he gave a streamer free food. He seems to have the most genuine and honest personality. I hope the best for him. I also hope that his business only goes up from here.

When I say this location is a destination, I mean it: I flew in from Detroit just to experience the incredible atmosphere and exceptional service, and it was worth every mile. General Manager Mr. Smith and his entire team have clearly fostered a culture of fun and excellence that sets this Dave & Buster's apart from any other entertainment venue.

Valentine’s Day doubles was a great deal for us. Food was good and all reasonably fast. Mariah was an absolute gem of a waitress. Solid selection of games. The unlimited play card let us play more than enough with only a few reasonable exceptions (mostly the games that are essentially gambling for giant ticket prizes or physical prizes).

I got the 5 Cheese Flatbread, and that pizza was AMAZING. It made my entire soul ascend to heaven, give Jesus Christ a high five, and come back down. I'm a VERY picky eater and I usually am super particular, so me eating all of this was IMPRESSIVE. Props to Dustin, great server. Super nice and energetic, good vibes all around. Service didn't take very long, food came within about 5 minutes (though, the place was not very busy, with it being a Wednesday).

Seeing recent events I figured I’d put my review here, Can’t believe I haven’t all this time. This place is absolutely amazing. I have been a loyal customer since when this place opened and the people are absolutely amazing. They are like family. Such a fun crew, everyone always knows me and takes care of me. Biggest shout out to the best bar tender ever Katie and who could forget Mr. Smith. He is amazing and he don’t kid that often 🤣. Aside from the amazing crew the games are super fun and something new is always coming. Me and my best friend love it here so much.

First time ever at a Dave and Buster's and had an awesome time!!! The games are all well kept up and fun to play. Huge selection of prizes for your tickets. The drinks are on point as well as their food! The staff is great and bartenders are perfect!

Went tonight with my husband on a date and it was awesome. Felt like a little kid again. 🥰 I ate salmon with sweet potatoes and linguine, and my husband ate a burger. The drinks were good and the server was very kind and welcoming he even made a customized drink for me since im very specific with my preferences. Prices were pretty affordable and there was plenty of games to be entertained.

My sister wanted to take her grandson there to enjoy an afternoon of fun and asked if I would go with them. When we got there the hostess Leiloni was so gracious and kind and explained how everything works around there. We were so grateful as we had no clue. Our sever Tevin was awesome and the management was as well. They checked on us to see how our experience was and all we could say was positive things. It was definitely fun and look forward to going back.

I don’t usually write reviews, but Mr. Smith at Dave & Buster’s deserves ALL the recognition. From the moment we walked in, he brought the energy, the kindness, and the fun like nobody else! You can tell he genuinely cares about making sure everyone has a great time. He went above and beyond for our group, helping us with the games, cracking jokes, and even remembering our names by the end of the night. It’s rare to meet someone who makes an ordinary night out feel like a VIP experience, but Mr. Smith did exactly that. His professionalism mixed with his upbeat, friendly vibe made the whole atmosphere so much better. You could see other guests smiling just being around him, that’s how contagious his energy is. If every Dave & Buster’s had a Mr. Smith, they’d need to add an extra star to the rating system. 5 stars isn’t enough. Give this man a raise, a medal, and maybe his own game named after him. LEGENDARY service.

My first visit there began on a day worth celebrating. Earlier that afternoon, my mom had received a raise at work, and she decided to mark the moment by taking me somewhere special. At the time, I didn’t realize how meaningful that choice would become, but it would leave an impression that has lasted for years. From the moment we walked inside, the atmosphere felt electric. The glow of arcade lights, the sounds of games, and the hum of excitement immediately drew me in. We were greeted by Mr. Smith, an employee whose kindness made the experience unforgettable. He welcomed us warmly, patiently showed us how to use the credit machines, and guided us to a booth. His attentiveness made us feel genuinely cared for, not simply served. We ordered burgers and fries, and while we waited, I wandered over to a nearby pinball machine. The flashing lights and constant motion captured my attention completely. I played with pure excitement, losing track of time and credits, spending nearly a quarter of them on that one machine alone. It didn’t matter—I was fully immersed in the moment. When our food arrived, it matched the excitement of the games. The meal was satisfying, and together with the arcade, it created a sense of completeness. After eating, my mom and I returned to the games, using every remaining credit until there were none left. Eventually, it was time to leave. As we walked toward the exit, Mr. Smith was there once again, holding the door open and wishing us goodbye, offering the same kindness he had shown us from the start. It was a small gesture, but one that stayed with me. Looking back, that visit to Dave & Buster’s was more than a fun afternoon—it was a moment of celebration, connection, and joy. It showed me that heaven does not have to be distant or imagined. Sometimes, it exists in shared experiences and in the kindness of strangers.

Went to this place as a getaway vacation and it was excellent, me and my cousins had a great time, my brother's and I kicked back on the food area aswell. Overall a great place with amazing food and games. I would HIGHLY recommend this for family time or a place for the kids and their friends.

Went for my granddaughter’s birthday, she was turning 5. She and her 13 year old brother loved the games. The food was good as well. It was quite busy on a Sunday night, but our server was phenomenal! Very attentive and friendly. It is a loud atmosphere with the TV’s, games, and people talking, and kids running around. She had a great birthday, so that’s what counts!

Watched a football game. The noise level was a bit high. But I enjoyed being able to see the game .

We went with our grandson for a bday. They had a blast. Great place to celebrate birthdays .

I visit this location regularly—typically once or twice a week—and overall, my experiences have been positive. While there are occasional minor issues, such as brief food delays or a game being temporarily out of service, my primary concern is the level of service at the bar. Consistently, there are extended waits before a bartender acknowledges me to take my order. In addition, food is often delivered before utensils are provided, requiring me to request them separately. After an order is placed, follow-up service is limited; I frequently have to flag down a bartender for refills or additional assistance. That said, the food quality is consistently excellent, and the management team is always professional, attentive, and courteous. Overall, I genuinely enjoy coming here, but improving attentiveness and responsiveness at the bar would significantly enhance the experience.

Tonight was a rude woman handling the trading of tickets. Ignoring us while we were waiting for her to finish up engaging so comfortably with another family that were finished exchanging their tickets. Definitely could be taught about providing awesome customer service and being attentive to those waiting to be served next instead of ignoring! Had us standing there like we were invisible. I other than that we do usually eat but after that experience we decide to skip drinks and food.

The service was terrible. Sat at the bar. They forgot our appetizer and side of ranch. Had to flag down someone to get silverware and napkins. Never came by to see if we needed something else. Appeared to be a manager that brought us our bill. Mentioned the forgotten items to make sure we weren’t getting charged and she acted like we were inconveniencing her by brining this up. No apologies by anyone for anything. Food was ok nothing special.

We ordered the kids fish and chips but got charged $19.99 for the adult entree. We also ordered bone in buffalo wings and got the boneless wings instead. We ordered a brownie sundae and a sofa as well. Our check was $70 which was ridiculous, there was a tip added because we had 5 kids with us. It’s not fair to have that much stuff messed up on your check and to get charged the tip. My boyfriend and I didn’t feel good after we ate the fish either. I probably shouldn’t have ordered that especially since last time I ate here my flatbread wasn’t cooked all the way. I don’t think that we’re gonna come back here anymore after this experience.

My husband and I decided to surprise our friends with a double date utilizing your Valentine's Day promotion. In theory, this should have been a wonderful experience, because we have been to D&B many times and have had truly great experiences with this location. However, yesterday was a remarkably unfortunate exception. Both reservations were already made prior to arriving at the location, and we were advised that we had some limitations on the menu. Turns out, there was only about a handful of items that we were allowed to order because everything else on the menu was considered an appetizer at this particular location, so we were not allowed to order ribs/wings/flatbreads/burgers of any kind while we were starting this double date. We were then provided with 4 "unlimited" game cards, which were promptly deactivated within 10 minutes of using them, and were told that only certain colors of games were allowable on the promotion. None of that is indicated in the terms of the advertisement we received, other than the exclusion of the VR and Human Claw Machine games. We were then treated with extraordinarily unprofessional explanations of why these regulations were now location-specific and that the Gainesville location seemingly had different rules than what was presented in the Valentine's Day special. Fast forward to us getting our food with our couple's friends; only 2 entrees arrived, and another 15 minutes went by for us to receive the other 2, and one of them is not even what we ordered. So, my husband gets to sit there while everyone is done eating, I am just getting my cold meal, and he was told that his order would be started. All the while, our waitress was nowhere to be found, and we were waiting on drinks that we ordered over 20 minutes ago, being delivered the wrong food and cold food by someone who was not even our server. When my husband asked politely to speak with a manager, we met with Donnovan, who proceeded to backpedal on the Valentine’s Day promotion that your company was offering and advised us that this location had different regulations that were not consistent with the offer being advertised. Not only were we limited as to what we could order, but the game cards expired after 10 minutes, and we were only able to play a handful of games during this time because other colors were not included in their version of this promotion. At this point, we are obviously upset because we are feeling taken advantage of and have just committed $200 prior to knowing any of this. We simply asked for the food to be removed from the bill, and we would gladly pay for the few alcoholic beverages that were consumed, as that obviously is not in the promotion offered. We were then told that we would be charged for the food that was consumed, but no one wanted to eat their food because we went as a double date, and no one touched the food outside of the appetizers. We were charged $100 for the food that sat at the table, when he specifically referenced the food that was there and indicated that we would not be charged for it. We did not get our entrees, our dessert, or our “unlimited” game play; we got to enjoy a cold plate of appetizers and a few beverages with our family. We have never had this kind of experience with your company, and quite frankly are absolutely appalled by the level of poor customer service we received yesterday, and I don’t think we will ever be back to this establishment. Not only will we be filing a dispute with our bank for this charge, but I think the location needs to have a proper review to ensure that they are following correct policies so that customers are not falsely lured in and taken advantage of with a promotion that seemingly does not exist.
