Opinions de The Hub Pottersville
The staff here is absolutely amazing! I had the pleasure of being helped by Abby and Jose C during my move in. They were both incredibly patient and supportive and made my move in stress free. Along with that, the manager, Kari, took the time to answer every question my family and I had.
I had the pleasure of leading our moving crew in assisting in-coming students during their move-in at The Hub. On behalf of 2 College Brothers Moving & Storage I can confidently say the entire project was a blast from start to finish! My movers, the students & the parents alike were all very pleased by how seamless & smooth the move-in process was. Big thanks to the staff over at The Hub for all their hard work and a special thanks to Ella & Val for all their assistance & maintaining a fun and effective work environment👍🏽
Wow. I cannot share how much I love the hub. Not only the hub but Abby! She is so awesome! She helps me every single time I need! She does it with a smile on her face too! This is such a great place and has made my transition to college seamless. I love the hub!
Abby H gave a great tour! Made me want to sign, and I 100% suggest taking a tour with her.
Abby at the front desk is amazing! She answered all my questions! She was such a pleasure to speak to
We had the perfect move in day. It was organized and staggered by floor to prevent overwhelming the elevators and causing a backlog. A special thanks to Phillip at the front desk, Jana from the cleaning team, and Jose from maintenance for immediately responding to small things that needed to be addressed. Overall, I was very impressed at how they managed and organized the move-in process.
Ava was so helpful and inviting!! I really appreciated her commitment to making a connection with me before signing 🫶 Edited 5/30: Chloe was super helpful over the phone! She made a great effort to answer all of my questions and accomodate my requests. I really appreciated it!
Tour was wonderful and so informative. Room size compared to other locations was a bit smaller then we hope for but the tour guide was amazing and so sweet. Apartments were lovely just wish bedroom size was bigger.
After taking a tour, Hub University is by far my #1 recommendation for student living near UF! The building is beautifully appointed and very secure. I had the pleasure to take a tour of the property with Kaili who was an amazing host and took particular care in showing me everything about the community. I particularly liked the cozy study room and the dedicated yoga room in the fitness area.
My friends live at the Hub and I have been over several times. It’s always so clean and smells so nice in the hallways and lobbies all the time. Had the pleasure of speaking with Kari in the office on the phone while I was seeing if I could afford to move here next year and she was extremely friendly and helpful over the phone and email. Highly recommend taking a look at Hub if it’s in your budget, definitely worth!
The hub on university is literally amazing! I have loved living here for the last 2 years and now on my third year. I am even renewing for next year because I have loved the location, the apartment all together, and mostly the staff everyone is super nice and helpful. Kari Pope has been very helpful and very good at communicating on email. Also Jose the maintenance person is always helping with anything I need and is always very fast. I recommend this place to everyone!
This property's management is super amazing. The CM Kari is awesome. Every time that I walk in the leasing office, there is always great energy in the room! Valerie and Ella are very helpful as well. 5 stars to the leasing team!
The Hub on University is absolutely beautiful! The amenities here, including the gym, the study room, and the pool, are the best part. The location is perfect, and the view from the pool is majestic, as seen in the picture below. The staff here is amicable, and the people living here are very genuine and charismatic. The apartment's only concern is the adjustment of being a new apartment complex, as some rooms have problems with certain appliances, such as washing machines and dishwashers. Besides that, the Hub on University meets the standard for a premier apartment complex here in Gainesville.
Enjoy the complex a lot. Maintenance is attentive and it’s nice inside. Renewing next year! Parking is crazy though. Find somewhere else to park.
Jesse (the maintenance staff) and Philip (front desk) did an amazing job helping us out with an unexpected maintenance nightmare during move-in week. Thank you both! It’s good to see staff that care about making things better for the residents.
The rooms are nice (small if you don't have a primary at least within a 4x4, but otherwise fine). When my roommate moved in, our unit was not disinfected and had furniture within the wrong space, stains in miscellaneous places including the curtains, a broken shower, and a broken washing machine with trash from the previous tenants. Things break fairly frequently within the unit and property (namely the unit). Maintenance is extremely kind and skilled but overworked from my perception, as there does not seem to be enough maintenance employees to respond to issues. They are very kind and effective in their abilities to fix things and honestly the highlight of the staff here. In regards to the front desk, there is a lack of presence and responsiveness. The hours they are open are already fairly limited but I have gone to the front desk 4-5 times this month during active hours and have not seen anyone. (The phone calls are also not answered when they are not there despite being during hours) The text message system was extremely useful, but has now been discontinued. I have had packages lost by the front desk and have been told that I am incorrect only for them to find them a month later. I will honestly probably renew my lease just because the rooms are nice and its a lot of work to move, but if responsiveness of management is important to you, I recommend checking out other places. It's also very loud during game-days because of these meet-ups at the gas station across the street, but that's obviously not the Hub's fault. (Valerie was really nice last year but unfortunately, I haven't seen her in a bit)
Lived here for 3 years. The building itself is nice, however management is some of the most money-hungry I’ve ever seen. They will charge you for everything and do nothing for free.
Worst place I have EVER lived. First off, they only show you one room while you’re touring. Just fyi half the rooms are extremely small and look nothing like that room. I also have no bathtub, a shoebox room, 3 room mates and I’m paying about 1800 a month. I find roaches in the trash room all the time. The staff is the absolute worst. So rude and they act like you’re dumb or you owe them something. I’m moving into stadium house next year and I am so grateful. I’ll be paying 200 more but at least I’ll have an actual bedroom. This place has wasted and stolen SO MUCH money from me. Not to mention the pool gets shut down every spring for “maintenance”. Horrible place to live I’m so excited for my lease to end.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I lived here for 2 years & it was the worst experience I have ever had. The management & maintenance staff are horrendous. They charge you for maintenance that they don’t complete or botch. They are very slow to do anything. They don’t care about their residents at all. The building is so structurally unsound, it’s insane. This building has had pool pipes burst, doors never working, elevators out of service for up to 4 months at a time, the parking garage falling apart, leaks EVERYWHERE, floods & more. They do not clean the apartments when people move out of there is still a remaining tenant living there which causes so many issues for the current tenant & the new tenants & makes it a hostile environment all around. Oh & don’t ever lock yourself out after hours. They will respond to you by saying “we will try to get in contact with someone that can come & open the door but if that person is busy you’re just going to have to wait in the lobby until they’re not busy.” That is not the service I’m paying over $1,100 for every month. I pay so much money for such a horrible experience from management, maintenance & this physical building. Save your money, time & energy by not living here.
One of the worst run/managed apartments I have ever experienced. Facilities are constantly closed/inoperable despite any maintenance actually occurring. Complete ignorance from maintenance and staff in maintaining facilities and units. Lights constantly not working in bathrooms/water leaking from above...Overall horrible experience despite high cost of rent. Do not recommend.
Stay away from here! The fire alarm triggering in the middle of the night seems to be a common occurrence. The pool was shut down for a good majority of the year for 'maintenance' however somehow the pool room exploded regardless the fact that nobody used it. This flooded half the apartment and damaged many residents items. There would be constant noise complaints filed for the partying happening at 3-4am in the parking lot outside yet would happen just about every week anyways. There was a loss of AC for about a week. The list goes on and on, the only thing management seems to do about all these issues is give residents a free meal or merch from a partnership once a month. Put your resources into fixing your apartments. For the price you pay at this place, it sucks! Do not sign a lease here!
Living at the Hub on University has been an absolute nightmare. One time the pool exploded out of nowhere at 5 am, and they kicked everyone out of the building. Even worse, they never bothered to fix one of the elevators afterward. After that fiasco, the AC in my apartment stopped working out of nowhere, and they took over a week to fix it—in the middle of summer! To top it off, our lease included an Amazon Echo, which we NEVER received. Despite multiple complaints to the office, they did absolutely nothing. After months of trying to resolve the issue, we eventually gave up. But when our lease ended, they had the audacity to charge us for the missing Echo we never got! When I reached out about the charge, they were completely unhelpful. Terrible service all around. I would NEVER live here again and would never recommend it. There are much better options around campus with far less issues than the ones we experienced at the Hub, and that will not charge you for items you never received.
It’s a shame google won’t allow you to put 0 stars because this place is the definition of that. Easily the worst apartment building in Gainesville if not the entire country. On April 13 at around 5 am I was awoken to the fire alarm going off and as I got out of my bed I realized there was water up to my knee. Apparently the pool exploded and water went everywhere flooding my apartment and ruining my stuff. How does a pool even explode? Not to mention the fact that the elevators didn’t work for around 2 weeks after this. Despite ruining many of my things, and this issue being no fault of my own the hub did nothing to help and made it very clear they would not compensate me or my roommates for the damage. The employees at this building are clueless, completely incompetent, and some of the most unhelpful people I have ever met. Not to mention the building manager who is somehow even more useless and probably my least favorite person I have ever met. Overall my stay at this building was awful. The building is overpriced and very dirty. I would not recommend anyone to live here ever unless you want to deal with yearly floods, constantly broken elevators, and complete incompetency all around.
This is possibly one of the worst places I have had the misfortune of living. Their rooms were made with twigs and willpower, and when things inevitably fall apart they’ll charge you for maintenance. Also prepare to be happy with no city parking since the complex made some deal with the city to bar residents so they can charge you 1/5 of your rent for a spot in their lot. But hey, once you pay your dues and walk past broken utilities you can lay back, relax, and bask in the natural sunlight right? Right?? Well prepare to enjoy the absolute legal minimum view of the interior hallway whenever you open the window. You can watch the scenic artificial light flicker as the paint on the wall dries. Maybe, you think, you can just let sleep take over and hide from the mistake of signing the lease. Annoyance fades and your body relaxes. You close your eyes dreaming of a brighter future. Finally you can… BEEP. One beep. It’s the smoke detector. Just one. You can recover from this. You drift again but —BEEP. It happened again. Every 30 minutes. All night. Drowsy and sleepless you leave for class in the morning only to be greeted by the high pitched hum of the lobby fire alarm indicating the system needs maintenance. Weeks pass and nothing changes, no statement from the complex. Until one night when you head back and there’s a fire truck outside the building and firefighters and cops fill the building. To this day you don’t know why exactly they were there, but the noise stopped. The staff seem nice tho. 2/10
