Absolutely loved this place! The food was amazing, full of flavor, and perfectly cooked. The portions were generous, definitely worth the price. Service was attentive and friendly throughout. And the view? It was the cherry on top of an already perfect experience. Highly recommend!

WHEW! I left this place astounded and very full! Enjoyed some delicious fried king crab, with very hearty portions! Fries were incredible and prices were normal! Watching seagulls attempt to steal food of the patio customers was great entertainment! 10/10 come see this place.

Amazing food! Kinda pricey, but i would say well worth it. Super friendly staff and very helpful. You get a great view of the beach and a choice of eating inside or outside. Food was out of this world!

I enjoyed the seafood platter, wait staff service, price and the view. Right on the seawall and not hard to find. You can eat inside in the AC or outside with a view of the beach. This establishment was busy the entire time I was there so they must be doing something right. The food was delicious and the wait staff made sure I had plenty to eat and drink. They also removed empty platters as we finished them, freeing the table of clutter. The cooks did a great job with the food and the cashier was friendly. I will DEFINITELY return.

Classic seafood that is well executed at a great price. We loved the fresh fried seafood platter and the spicy crawfish. The tenders are always a hit for the kiddos and on a sunny day, the view sitting outside is hard to beat. Wash it all down with local tiki wheat beer. Will definitely come back.

Great local place for seafood & Cajun. Had the Cajun Grilled Talopia with corn on the cob & slaw. Fish cooked & seasoned excellent. Corn was sweet & properly cooked. Wife had the Cajun Grilled Shrimp. Again, seasoning & cooked properly. Shrimp was above average size. Also the Key Lime Pie was good. Outdoor seating available with good views of the Gulf.

Galveston has some AMAZING sea food!! Shrimp poboy was crispy and good! The order of fries were crispy best flavor ever! The sea food platter was a bit salty but very good. The potatoes were so good! The crab cakes had an authentic crab flavor. The boiled shrimp & potatoes & corn on cob were our favorite! I'm not for tarter sauce but this tarter sauce gad my attention & vote. The staff was nice and quick to serve. Although I thought this would be more of a seafood boil with Cajun seasoning as when I ordered it was just called the “Cajun boil”, there was a lack of explanation when I was ordering but also on my behalf of not knowing what to order. Should have done more research. It tasted good non the less! The view was also enjoyable.

I have been coming to this restaurant since a kid over forty years. My parents would love to take the trip from Houston on Sundays just to go to church then to Bennos , and I can truly say it has changed tremendously. The food portions have became small. The atmosphere has definitely changed, the staff is not friendly like they use to be. The front counter people are not friendly at All. The owner or manager is Definitely not friendly at ALL. Forty years down the drain!!!! Very Sad!!!

We just left here and while the food was great. The employee Mary Jan was completely disrespectful and left a horrible taste on my mouth. All I asked fro was 2 bowls and to box my own food. She slammed down my food and walked across the dining room and threw the 2 Togo boxes in her hand down totally uncalled for. I asked what the problem was and that I just wanted what I asked for nothing more. She screamed at me across the restaurant that she was sorry I didn't know how to speak to people. That is embarrassing to any bussiness we have been her twice this month and live 2 hours away always try to come I. when we are in town I am not sure. if we will make that mistake again if this is how your treated.

Old rotting building. No greeting no idea how to order. Huge menu on the wall go to the counter and wait for the rude cashier to let you figure it out. One plate, one cup of gumbo $40 without tip. Why is the gumbo watery? The seafood balls were greasy and cold. The batter on the seafood plate was clumps of cornbread batter. Could’ve been better. Everything seemed like it was sitting in the fridge for days. The coleslaw was brown and old. I didn’t like anything here. So disappointed.

I recently visited Benno’s Cajun Seafood in Galveston, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. It appears the restaurant may have undergone changes in management or operations, as the quality of both the food and service has declined significantly. We placed an order totaling $50, which included a whole fried catfish and a hamburger. Regrettably, the food did not meet expectations. Both plates of fries were served ice cold, and although the second batch we requested was fresh, the inconsistency was disappointing. The hamburger, priced at $17, was far below acceptable standards, both in taste and quality. Additionally, the restaurant’s atmosphere was uninviting. Upon entering, there was a pervasive odor from the restrooms that lingered throughout the dining area, making the experience unpleasant and unappetizing. Overall, this visit was a major disappointment, and I cannot justify returning anytime soon. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and implements the necessary changes to improve the dining experience.
