Visited Friday night for happy hour. Our wait to get a table was 50 minutes. Instead we went to the bar and were lucky that guest left and we had availability for 2 seats. Our server Israel made our transition smoothly and quick. We order various appetizers and drinks. Beer Pacifico and Blue moon .Drinks passion fruit mojito with fresh sugar cane and mint. The band was there tuning their sound for a while but once they got it together they played a set of various song not limited to Cuban music. Overall it was good atmosphere and food. I liked the green sauce instead of f the mayo sauce drizzle all over out appetizers. I've been to the LI Havana central which i visited various times and they also ha e live bands and delicious food.

The food was scrumptious!! I went for the first time after seeing the broadway play Buena Vista Social Club. We ordered the corn and empanadas for starters…let me just say we cleared the plates. It could have stopped there and I would have been pleased but no it kept getting better. I had steak with the shrimp in butter garlic sauce, my cousin had the snapper. Service was friendly and fast. Drinks were strong and the price was compatible plus totally worth it. Portions were large, I had take home enough for a second meal. Sorry for my pictures in advance lol Listen…I’ll be back

The night I went to Havana Central was my first time in New York City and he made my experience even greater. The food was absolutely excellent. I live in California and I've tried a few Cuban places and this one was one of the best. The young man who served me was outstanding super Pleasant and very attentive I forget his name I wish I could remember it all I know is that he is very young thin half Mexican half Salvadorian but he made my experience a Havana Central the more pleasant. I love the atmosphere the decorations the happiness of the people celebrating and even though they were super busy everyone seem to be having a great time. If you ever go to New York City you must try Havana Central.

Delicious food, friendly staff, and great prices! Plenty of options for me that were gluten free, dairy free, and soy free. A bit loud for my taste but it was a great experience. Thrilled by the guava smoothie. The staff that greeted us were warm. Luiza, our server, was nice and attentive. The people that came to our table with waters, our orders, and to pick up dishes were so friendly too. And did I mention the delicious food?! Thanks to entire team - from the front end to the kitchen and everyone in between. Definitely recommend! 👏

Spent the week in NYC for a work trip. Our first day in NYC we stopped for a late lunch. By far the best food we had on our trip, we were thinking about it all week. The Havana street corn was so good we were practically licking the plate clean.

Came here on recommendation from one of my old professors, and it certainly lives up to expectations! Delightful service from Luiza, restaurant was ideal temperature, great variety of music and at a comfortable volume to not distract from the dining experience. I ordered the caipirinha with guava, the Clásico Sándwich Cúbano, sweet potato fries, and flan. I couldn't be happier with everything and will definitely recommend this place to anyone!

We came across this place 2 years ago when we were here for Christmas. LOVED the food. My husband and I talked about the corn for 2 years! We have tried finding somewhere better closer to home and have had no such luck. Everything we have had has been amazing. We cant brag enough in this place. We returned this year and made it a point to come back. Not just once but twice! This place is amazing and we look forward to visiting when we are in the city again! 🫶🫶

This restaurant was WONDERFUL! I took my dad here for his birthday and his celebration was nothing short of magical. I discovered this restaurant through a promotional deal with the Broadway Musical “Buena Vista Social Club” and let me tell you, having a meal here before seeing the show was wonderful. The atmosphere and staff was phenomenal. HUGE SHOUTOUT to Luz (our wonderful server!) She made us feel so welcomed and truly one of the best servers I have ever had in a restaurant. I will definitely be coming back here again and again. The food was so delicious and the deserts were great! I loved the Flan and the churros!

I came with my boyfriend to havana central for their 3 course $30 restaurant week lunch menu. Our waiter Luz was very friendly and provided good service. The bartender Rubi was also very welcoming and kind to us 🩷 The food was delicious. Our first course was the empanada sampler with chicken, ropa vieja and cheese, and a salad. Our entree was a delicious cuban sandwich and pernil with rice and beans , and lastly we had some warm churros with flan all for $30!! Extremely worth the money. We highly recommend going to havana central for a lunch date and we’ll be coming back :)

We had a very positive experience at Havana Central even though the restaurant ended up being packed. The servers were friendly and accommodating. The food made us happy and full. We throughly enjoyed the tostones, empanadas and ropa vieja. The black beans and the arroz con pollo were devoured. The flan was good but the tres leches was outstanding, do not skip it. The restaurant is also a good value especially for the Times Square area.

Went here for restaurant week, menu items were good and they had happy hour until 7pm. Atmosphere is really nice and lively, but really loud, it was hard to have a conversation. Definitely recommend to make a reservation as this place does get crowded.

Cuban restaurant with great retro vibe Highlight was the boisterous band belting out numbers that you can’t help but tap dance to. The trumpeter was the crown jewel of the band I had mango sauce glazed salmon, black beans and rice which was good but not exceptional It was crowded but still airy The interior decor very evocative with orange color painted walls, gigantic flower vases with plants of paradise The ambience was true Latin energy Recommended !

The atmosphere was very nice, and the drinks at the bar were excellent reasonably priced too! The food, however, was average at best. My chicken Cuban came with a tiny, overcooked piece of fried chicken, no pickles, a small slice of cheese, and it was only lukewarm. I sent it back and ordered a regular Cuban instead. This one looked better, but the pork and ham were cold, like they’d been sitting out, and it was just slapped onto toasted bread that also seemed to have been sitting for a while. My impression is that they’re turning tables so quickly that they pre-make a lot of the food and keep it under a warmer, where it sits for several minutes. The empanadas were very good, though, and everything came out extremely fast! For the price, I’d rather go somewhere else for a hot, fresh meal. That said, the servers and bartenders were excellent! Overall, a 3-star experience, great vibe and service, but the food needs to be fresher and come out hot.
