A little expensive but very worth it. The food is great and the staff were extremely kind! The Chocolate Mousse was sooo good! The latte and the cheese coroquettes were very good as well.
I’ve been there dozens of times. The food is great. The croque monsieur, burgers, fries, steak sandwiches and specials are all very good. The portions are large. Service is great and beer selection is excellent.
Probably one of the best bar/restaurant in the time square area. Everyone that works there is so sweet too, the food is great and the beers are worth their prices, delicious! Great vibes and Eugene the bar tender really brings that place alive!
After visiting Antwerp, Belgium, Vincent from Brasserie den Antigoon told me to visit a bar in New York City called BXL Café. So when I got back home, I made it a point to go. BXL Café has such a great vibe. It’s got that cool dive bar feel but with the charm and energy of a real Belgian spot. The space feels cozy and laid-back, the kind of place where you can just relax and hang out for a while without feeling rushed. We came for the Monday night unlimited mussels special, which they also do on Sundays, and it did not disappoint. The special was $40 and worth every penny. The food was really good, and the mussels just kept coming. The beers were just as impressive. I had a few that brought me right back to Belgium, the same kind of flavors and vibe I got when I visited Brasserie den Antigoon in Antwerp. The staff here made the whole experience even better. I met one of the managers and the bartender, and they were both awesome. Super friendly, easygoing, and full of laughs. It was one of those nights where you just sit back, have a good drink, laugh a lot, and forget about the stress of the day. I’ll definitely be back. 🍻🇧🇪
The experience here represents perfection on a plate. Every worker shows patience and understanding. This spot has visual impact. Their food tastes better with fresh components. This restaurant provided quality throughout.
The location caught my eye first, then the incredible service won my heart. You'll value the easy-to-find spot. Staff showed kindness while providing immediate attention. All dishes demonstrated good cooking techniques. If I'm around here again, I'll stop in.
Stumbled onto Bxl Bar when strolling around Times Square. As Belgians, we could not resist going in :-) what a buzzing atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food and Belgian Beers on tap!!!! Will certainly recommend as a place to go when visiting New York!! Groetjes van de Belgen ;-)
I was looking for an open bar to have a manhattan in Manhattan and walk for several minutes until I came across a cozy place that was decked out in the color red. The door was open and I walked right into a welcoming place with excellent drinks. The owner was friendly and made a perfect manhattan! Decor was superb and ambiance was chill ! Highly recommend for anyone looking terrific drinks!
BXL is a go-to place for all occasions. It’s located in midtown Manhattan and easy to commute. We are the regulars here and we enjoy French-Belgian cuisine. We order steak frites which they serve with fries and salad. Their salad dressing is my favorite. We also order cheese balls and steak sandwich which is so juicy and served with caramelized onions. Their salad dressing staff is very attentive and friendly. They are happy to accommodate us with any requests.
Yummy mussels and truffle croquettes. Wish the mussels were cooked in the tomato basil longer to absorb the flavor. Truffle croquettes were like fried truffle cheese.
Walked in to BXL on a rainy day and was so happy we did! Absolutely amazing house BXL beer, our server Alfonso was great, and the food was incredible. Whether you're looking for a place to have a good beer, eat some fantastic food, or watch a futbol match, or do all 3 at once, this is your place! My wife and I shared the lamb sausage sandwich and fries and chicken wings and we could not have been more pleased! The menu had a wide selection and I think no matter what we ordered we would have been impressed!
Great beer selection and atmosphere. Frites aren’t necessarily Flemish style and they are delicious. La Chouffe and Tripel Karmeliet for beers, no questions asked, these folks know their stuff.
Nice cute bar. Went in here for a drink and a quick snack before our show started. Greeted by a friendly server who went above and beyond to give us our order in a timely manner. I had the margarita (think it was strawberry) and my friend had the passion drink. The frites were amazing and that mayo was out of this world. Will definitely be back again
Came for their unlimited mussels on a Monday with my family, and we enjoyed every single choice! Service is amazing, the servers are not only knowledgeable but are quick and attentive, and got rid of our mussel shells when our bowls were full. Can't wait to be back!

Loved this Belgian bar/restaurant! A little gem in the heart of midtown with the friendliest staff, a great beer selection and delicious food that is served in generous portions. Comfy outdoor seating is available, bar seating and a dining area indoors. I was surprised by how many tables there were in the dining area when I walked back...it appears deceptively small due to its cozy charm. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a delicious burger with brie and an enormous serving of muscles in white sauce. Seriously the biggest serving of muscles I've ever seen in a restaurant. Both served with French fries with ketchup and mayo...my fave. The bartender was great and he and another worker (maybe they are owners) often spoke in fluent French which made me feel like this place was authentically Bemgian.

Yesterday We went to BXL for Happy Hour (4:30) but were told there is no happy hour menu or discounts. Our main interest was the mussels, Which we ordered with Thai style sauce. Excellent flavors and plump mussels! Atmosphere very cozy pub.
Very important. If you are getting the steak frittes make sure medium rare. I got medium well 👎. If not you will be eating a spare tire. The french onion soup was ehhhhh mediocre!! Let me start by saying that the food was pretty good and flavourful but the service on the other hand was really bad. One of the server was obviously drunk and wasn’t paying attention to the customer. Took him more than 10 mins to take our empty plate. At the end we ask for the bill and after 15 mins we still haven’t received our bill another server had to give it to us cause the first one obviously forgot and was to busy talking and taking shot with his friends.
