I've been stopping by here for just over four years. This restaurant is run by an older Chinese couple who are very, very friendly and truly courteous. Since covid, they have closed their dining area and only have take away, which is not a problem for me. As for their food, their ingredients always seem to be fresh, the meats are tender and flavorful and the seasoning is flawless. I love getting food here. Last time I did so, I took my food, drove to the nearby Target parking lot (where I later did some shopping), lowered the tailgate on my truck, and had myself a tasty picnic. Ain't life grand? I recommend you give this little restaurant a try. You could be pleasantly surprised.
Came here for lunch....sweetest woman helped me out...was a bit on the pricey side for one item + rice/chow mein...but it is tender and tasty! And actually....she hooked up the portions too so price really isnt that bad. Only downside then is no seating inside/it looks very unwelcoming on the inside.
Oh my gosh, this is the second Chinese food place I’ve tried since moving to Anaheim and it’s my go to now. The orange chicken is deliciously sweet and they have the best kung pao I’ve ever had. And look at this portion for like 10 bucks. The staff is also super friendly. Definitely recommend, flavor is perfect for me.
Very nice people. Only ordered fried chicken wonton, but they were perfectly crispy and flavorful. We ate them so quick I could only get the picture of the last one.
They give a lot of food here.
So yummy!! And so much food. It was such a great price for the amount of food, a super friendly staff, and fresh. Prices have increased a bit since some of the menu pictures but still a great deal
Baby Panda was a pleasant surprise! Their food is delicious. Orange chicken, Kung Pao, Spicy Chicken, even their House Chicken. All delicious. I love their chow mein. Rice is good too. Ever since I discovered this place with my partner, it's become a staple. My favorite place in the area without a doubt! They are also incredibly kind as well, nice mom and pip place that deserves continued support, and we will continue to get their food. Highly recommended to anyone who loves Chinese food!
Decided on a whim to grab food here while we were vacationing in Anaheim, and it was awesome! Delicious food, friendly staff, and they gave us a lot of food for a great price! I would definitely eat here again.
The food is always phenomenal, and the service too! The lady who works the counter is always amazing and she’s such a sweetheart as well. She makes getting food more than just getting food, she makes you feel like family when you come in, and she always remembers us! Amazing place!
Delicious food and such big portion sizes! We were very happy and would eat here again! The teriyaki chicken was so yummy, but so was everything else!
I have been going here for many years. If you are hungry, do not mind no frills Chinese fast food and are in a hurry, this place is for you. The portion sizes are rediculously huge, and the employees/owners are very nice. Keep in mind this is not gourmet Chinese food, and this is fast food in an aging strip mall. The food is decent, and the price is very affordable. You will never go away hungry from this place.
I love this place. Some people are talking about some guy in a rush. This place is a small family restaurant. The wife serves the food while the husband cooks. She is really nice with everyone. I always come here instead of going to panda Express. The food here is much better then panda express and it's cheaper!
Extremely tasty. Very Affordable. I am visiting the area and needed to get some Chinese food and found this great local, takeout only, Chinese food establishment. Very close to Disneyland and surrounding hotels. You walk into the store and are immediately greeted by an elderly couple, I’m assuming the owners. They are both very nice and you can tell they are very hard working and are proud of their products and their offerings. I ordered the 2 entree plate and picked fried rice, orange chicken, and broccoli beef. The lady piled up the food until it was difficult to close the container. I knew right then that this was the place to be. Canned soft drinks were available, but I opted out. They take credit cards- Mastercard or Visa only. I wish I could move this whole Baby Panda Chinese Restaurant closer to my house!
This place is awesome, great Chinese and overwhelming portions. Definitely enough for 2 meals. Don’t skip on getting the chili oil.
This place was absolutely amazing. I had the house chicken. Unfortunately they were kind of out. So I got extra orange chicken, but the house chicken is absolutely amazing. Chicken is very good as well, but does not measure up to the house. Extraordinary. Just know that if you come to this place, be ready to I. They are very humble with their portions.
This is the best Chinese food you'll ever have. The ingredients are fresh, the service is great, and the good prices are not compromised by quality. The chow mein is excellent, the kung pow and orange chicken, crisp and flavorful, but mostly importantly the house chicken is divine. Do yourself a favor and steer clear from other Chinese places a few blocks from here and come to Baby Panda.
First time visiting. Wanted some good Kung Pao Chicken, and found it! The reviews were correct. Very nice couple running the place, very clean, and very affordable! Definitely an easy stop on the way home after a long work week.
Yum, I love this place. We have been coming here for years and everytime we walk through that door it feels like we are visiting family. Love the food, love the owners. Give it a try if you are thinking you want to try a new and yummy chinese take out.
Best onion rings I have fond locally in a while, I miss the southern fried ones from "home" but these are pretty fantastic! Came here from a recommendation of a friend, and we have enjoyed it! The burger is all he said it would be. Perfectly portioned beef with veggies and made just as I'd ordered, love the freshness of the toppings, and I'm glad they don't take it easy on the cheese either, it's great! Very tasty and juicy but "done" highly recommended if you are in Garden Grove.
We walked in with 10 minutes to close and they were very nice and accommodated us. We were super appreciative! Thank you!! As always, food was amazing!
If you’re looking for that Charro California burger taste this is the place. I’m a burger expert and this place hit all the marks, clean friendly staff great burgers, good atmosphere not far from Disneyland and all the tourist areas so you’ll be safe.
This place lives up to the reviews. We got groceries at the vons and didn't feel like cooking so checked the reviews on the burger place in the parking lot. We did the Friday night special of the pastrami burger and it was delicious! Easily as good as the hat. We also did the regular burgers which were good and they loaded us up with fries. We seriously couldn't even finish them. Sauce is extra so keep that in mind as the kids wanted ranch. We would totally come back if we were in the area
Update: still amazing staff, still amazing food! I LOVE LOVE this Angelos off Chapman & Haster. I have been ordering here for over 15 years. I am glad to see they are still up and running. Extremely busy on weekends. Staff is amazing! I love the tuna melts and Breakfast burrito! Update: still amazing!
I stopped in because of the way this place looks. For me, places that look like they have been around awhile are sometimes hidden gems. I was right! Although they got my order wrong, when I called in and talked to Maria, she was very apologetic and let me know they would replace the order for me at my earliest convenience. The following day when I called to remake my order, I spoke to another Maria who was also very nice and again apologized for yesterday's mishap. They remade my order, I ordered more food, and it was even better than the day before. The food tastes fresh and the fries are crispy and delicious. Excellent customer service and excellent food! Will definitely come back again and again, thank you for the amazing experience.
I'm in the area for work and everything I'm this area seems suspect. The grilled chicken and rice felt safe. It wasn't busy at all during lunch time no bueno.
First time here and it was tasty. I saw a few reviews talking about the meat being to thin… Yes the patty is thin but the burger was good. They do advertise it as a 1/4 pound so they’re not hiding the fact that it’s not a lot of meat. I recommend… If you want more meat get a double cheese burger instead. I also ordered chili cheese fries with a side of ranch and it was good. I would definitely go back.
Food is consistently good but not great, we think their pancakes are better than most other places. Their burgers and fries are worth it and are large portions. There is usually a line to order and pick up even to-go orders. Service is consistently poor to OK, in comparison to similar places. Their prices have increased in spring 2024 compared to early 2024 and late 2023 (they seem to have had several price increases in the past few years), so what was once below average is now more like average 2024 prices, and food quality has seemed to decrease. FYI Sunday mornings are probably among their busiest times
Generic. Plenty of actual good burgers within a block or two radius. Look, they have a vast menu, that's what you come here for. If you want a mediocre burger with a side of fries and two previously frozen "Tyson" brand chicken strips, this is your jam. On a positive note they do have a Pininfarina coke machine. They're syrup is turned up too high and carbonation too low so it's a but of a waste here but figured I'd mention it. This is the same copy and paste burger as every low budget "cafe", like Yellowbasket for instance. Same food supplier, same ingredients same burger. When I say copy and paste I mean it quite literally. I'd go anywhere but Here at this point. I'll try Apollo Burger up the street, I've heard good things about the bulgogi burger. Hope this helps! AVOID for good food. Welcome if you're high. Service I rated 3 stars, nothing special, nothing bad. There really isn't anything to say about it.
This review is based on take out ONLY. The burger combo was good enough for anyone wanting a burger. I would recommend eating it at the restaurant rather than take-out though. The burger and fries were greasy-limp by the time we made it home (10 min drive) and just wasn't as appealing as first thought. Personally, I wouldn't recommend the bacon option either - it was over cooked so couldn't even taste the bacon flavor. Overall: Quick service but did think the price was a little high for their burger combos.
I ordered the Wednesday special (patty melt with fries for $11.49) I substituted the fries for onion rings my meal came out to $13.47. The patty melt bread is Rye bread. Didn't think of asking what bread. Assumed it wasn't any specialty Bread but that's okay. It's the meat that was sooo salty I couldn't finish it. My onion rings were cold. Service there is nice. Place is clean. The food isn't good enough for me to return again.
I've been here a handful of times but I was disappointed last time. My kung Pao chicken didn't have peanuts and my teriyaki chicken didn't have teriyaki sauce so really it was just dry chicken. My wontongs were cold. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back.
Came In today to order a chicken salad it took 35 minutes to get it on top I ordered it to go. Also had missing Items two 3 customers that had order after I did received their food before I did . Poor Service
Came in this morning. Not that many people. I didn't expect immediate food service but decent enough time. I got our food 25 minutes later and it was cold. Its one thing to take long on an order which by the way it was only 3 breakfast orders. But another thing to take forever and let the food be cold at serving. Never coming back here again! Didn't even apologize for the delay or nothing. Poor service.
