Opinions de Parkers' Lighthouse Restaurant Garden Grove
I dined here on 9/26/24 with some coworkers for dinner after some meetings. I had a reservation and was seated promptly upon arrival. The restaurant is incredible. It sits on the edge of the harbor and you have a great view of the area and The Queen Mary. My dinner companions ordered various seafood dishes and loved them. I ordered the filet and a cup of clam chowder. The filet was done well, but it was not at the quality of a steak house (which Parker's is not). Overall it was good. In addition, the clam chowder was good, but not great. I had Clam Chowder two nights before at 555 East, which I liked better. Now for the things to be aware of. At night, it is DARK inside. We all needed to pull out our phones to light up the menu. I would prefer it to have been lighter inside, but I think that might make it harder to see the night lights on the water, so I do understand why it was dark inside. You do come here first and foremost for the view, afterall. There is no other view like it! The waitress, Micaela, was excellent! She was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us make decisions. She kept our drinks full. The only negative, which is more of a personal preference from steak houses, is that she did not bring a steak knife for several minutes after my steak was delivered. The steak was easy to cut without one, but typically a steak knife should be delivered shortly after the steak is ordered, not noticeably after the steak arrives. Minor detail, and not worth knocking off a star as the steak was easy to eat without it. To access the bathroom, we had to go to the second floor. It did give me a chance to see the rest of the restaurant and hear the live music in the bar. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant, although more for lunch than dinner as the views are better during the day. It is also a short walk from the Hyatt and the Long Beach Convention Center and you can use an elevated walkway to avoid crossing Shoreline Dr.
We were in the Long Beach area before a cruise and decided to do dinner at Parkers Lighthouse. The experience was byond amazing. I can't even express how wonderful the meal was. I highly recommend this experience. And to note our waitress Aidan was the absolute best !
We visited this spot later in the evening, primarily because it was the only one that had available tables. We did not regret our choice at all. Al of the dishes were beautifully served and delicious. The clam chowder was especially tasty. We had a booth table and it had a very tranquil, private atmosphere. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Everything was cooked fairly quickly, and overall we enjoyed our visit very much.
So beautiful! I loved the view and the atmosphere felt so fancy and special. The Yucatán chicken itself was great but the mashed potatoes and corn that came with it made it AMAZING. I would get it again just to relive the experience of eating a mouthful of corn, chicken, and potato. The flavors… everything went well together. The sunset sushi was the perfect mix between sweet and spicy. It had a nice kick at the end, and felt very fresh. I understand why their sushi is well known. The waitresses were too sweet and made our anniversary so special. Their reservation process is super easy and makes getting in and seated a breeze. Note: BEWARE OF THE PARKING. you will not find parking on a weekend for at least 30 minutes, and you will have to drive circles around the tiny lot hunting for a spot. I’d say save yourself the trouble and pay 10 for the valet. Def recommend for a special occasion that won’t break the bank tooooo bad 😼
What a beautiful place! The food was amazingly delicious, server was awesome, and the view was amazing. The salmon burger was tastefully amazing, and the chicken, shrimp, and sausage jambalaya was delicious. For you seafood lover's I highly recommend this place and definitely a must try. I can't forget to mention the Oysters. They were amazingly tasty. What better then to order a bottle of champagne and orange juice. It's called mimosas 😁😁...Just the right way to have brunch. Again, if you want to experience amazing food, and a beautiful view I recommend this place.
Amazing food. Great view at sunset. Friendly and helpful staff. We come her regularly and it is always enjoyable. Parking can be difficult but other than that, nothing to complain about.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Parkers’ Lighthouse as my brother was craving oysters, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience. Our server, Micaela, was exceptional — attentive but never overbearing, providing just the right amount of attention throughout the evening. She was friendly, kind, and patient while giving excellent recommendations tailored to our tastes, adding a personal touch that made our dinner even more memorable. The food was outstanding. We started with brussel sprouts and one dozen oysters. The brussel sprouts were perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and well balanced in a honey citrus sauce. The oysters were fresh, clean, and briny. Whether enjoying them raw or with a little extra garnish, they truly stood out. We followed by a seafood grill that was fresh and expertly prepared. The sashimi was impeccable — the fish was incredibly fresh, and each bite was a delight. Hats off to Chef Luna and the entire kitchen team for their skillful presentation and remarkable flavors. As dessert lovers, we order 2 desserts; the crème brûlée and cheesecake. Both were absolutely divine — the crème brûlée had the perfect balance of rich custard and a crisp caramelized top, while the cheesecake was velvety and decadent. To pair with dessert, Micaela recommended a wine and espresso martinis, which complemented the flavors beautifully. What truly stood out was the overall experience. My brother and I don't get much quality time as we live far away from each other; the atmosphere, impeccable service, and food made our evening wholesome. We enjoyed catching up and lost track of time that we stayed for about four hours enjoying a great meal with cocktails. In addition, at the end of dinner we decided to have another glass of wine, however I was craving bread with butter (we didn’t see this on the menu) to pair with our last drink. Upon asking, Micaela said they do offer them and brought us a fresh batch of warm sourdough rolls and honey whipped butter. This was our first visit, and it definitely exceeded all expectations. We are already looking forward to returning with our parents as they are seafood lovers too. Thank you to Micaela, Chef Luna, and the entire Parkers’ Lighthouse team for making this an outstanding dining experience!
I come here every time I am in Long Beach. The food is insanely delicious. Prices are higher being the higher end Seafood you get and you are right off the water at the Long Beach port area. You can see the Queen Mary museum ship from the restaurant. The staff is very professional and always making sure your drinks are full or bringing you your next one. They have a great rotating selection of day catch to keep your tastebuds happy! Give them a try.
Parkers's Lighthluse @ Long Beach Shoreline Village Scene: Sun and blue skies. Calm, blue silvery ocean. Docked cruise ship. Harbor and whale cruises carrying excited passengers, small craft with wind in their sails and Jet Skies coming in and going out, a little red car on the ocean coming in to dock--really, Meal: and me and my sweet daughter enjoyed the delicious catch of the day, with mashed potatoes, asparagus, fresh jumbo shrimp cocktail, refreshing lemonade, and rich and creamy cheesecake... Environment: Waiters and Waitresses were attentive. We were immersed in the beauty and the quiet of it all. WAIT!!! there are dozens of people all around-- but everyone seemd just as mesmerized and content as we were. This was a high value experience for the cost, in my opinion. You may decide to add Parker's Lighthouse to your list of favorite restaurants.
Parker Lighthouse is a beautiful place to sit and have dinner by the water as you watch the boats move through the water and day turns to night life. The food and drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was breath taking and customer service was good as well. It's a place to try if you live in Long Beach or visiting.

Still Love Parker’s Lighthouse… Even After All these Years… 🤍🍽️🍤🦞🦀🦑❤️🧡
It was my first time at this restaurant and I loved it!!! Even though you can walk in wearing shorts and flip flops, this place is just elegant. We chose to sit outside on the couches. This was the best choice. It was romantic and cozy. It felt like we were in our own little world. Food was delicious 😋😋😋. We had clam chowder with cheese bread. Both so yummy! We also had a medly of sea food and veggies and everything was just so tasty. Everyone was helpful and attentive. This place has a very romantic vibe, very chill, and lovely place. We're coming back for sure 👍💯
This was my first time at this restaurant. I met up with a group of friends to enjoy the outdoors in Long Beach. I had a wonderful experience, Friendly waitress, fast service and some delicious food. We sat in the bar area. I ordered the Hot Wings,Caesar salad and the Cheesey Garlic Toast 🔥🔥 They did Not disappoint 😊. Everyone else enjoyed their food also I would return. Thanks!!
Everything about this place was perfect…including our server Matthew! The food was flavorful and fresh, the view and weather what dreams are made of! We also ordered the lobster and shrimp taquitos, and crispy calamari both were delicious. An amazing time with family on a gorgeous Sun-kissed day!
Parker’s Lighthouse delivered an exceptional experience. The waterfront views are stunning, but the food truly steals the show—especially the sushi, which was incredibly fresh and one of the highlights of our meal. Every dish was prepared beautifully, and the service was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between upscale and relaxed, making it perfect for a special night out. Highly recommend and looking forward to returning!
What an amazing dining experience. Our daughter and son in love booked our reservation for the night before our cruise to the Mexican Riviera. This restaurant did not disappoint. From the appetizers to the main course and the drinks and the atmosphere, the dining experience was exquisite.
It’s a beautiful spot next to the water. They offered a window seat or outdoor seating. We tried a lot of different foods and each one was great. However, the sunset sushi roll was THE BEST! Definitely recommend if your looking for a sweet yet spicy delight. We also got the sushi combo and oysters and it was all very fresh. My boyfriend got the seafood linguini and loved it. He said, “ the seafood linguine was presented very well and the taste was on point. Everything complimented each other. However, I don’t recommend the Bloody Mary, as it could have had a better salt rim and mixed better. Lastly, I would like to see what the taste would be if you added sun dried tomatoes instead of fresh tomatoes.” I got the mixed grill, a little bit of a few different sea foods. The white sauce they provided on the side was delicious! Really brought out the full flavors of the dish. All in all, we definitely recommend this place and will be going back again soon!!
We had such a fantastic experience! Our waiter, Newman, was incredibly attentive the entire evening and made us feel well taken care of. He was wonderfully supported by Marvin, and Manager Gregory showed true professionalism from start to finish. The live band added an amazing vibe to the night, and the cocktails crafted by the bartender were top-quality. She can make anything you want and the selection of options blows your mind. Plus, you can’t beat the beautiful view of the Queen Mary — it made the whole evening feel even more special. Highly recommend!
Five stars for the service, food and the atmosphere. James recommended the Chilean sea bass and the England clam chowder and they were both excellent! The sea bass was so soft it’s like butter ands fresh. The clam chowder tasted fresh and flavorful. The view were just as described. It lives up to all the great reviews.
Greg was our server, and they need to clone this guy! We ordered lots of wonderful, pricey things from the menu and enjoyed every bite. The couple at the table behind us ordered water, a bowl of chowder and a small salad to split. Greg treated them with the same courtesy and excellent service he provided for us, knowing his tip would be meager. This sweet couple got to experience a great view and fine dining on a shoestring budget. We see you, Greg!
I came here for a drink, it was happy hour and I have a good chardonnay, service was excellent, this restaurant have a nice view, good ambiance and i can say the service was very good. July 1, 2022 I came back here with my friends, we really had a good time. We were seated at the patio. Our server Kaila, was very patient and very accommodating, she never rush us. We have few bottles of wine and some food. Good food, good wine, good ambiance and a great service. And we stayed for hours. Thank you Kaila for a great service
We went to Parker's Lighthouse a little over a week ago for a birthday celebration. Everything was fantastic from the start. Our waitress, Lindsay, was absolutely wonderful. So attentive, patient, and simply put... on it! The view overlooking the water made for a serene setting. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the Crab Cobb Louie Salad... phenomenal!!
Dining at Parker's Lighthouse is truly an unforgettable experience, especially in the late afternoon as the sun begins to set. The atmosphere feels like a charming seaside village, offering stunning views of the ocean that create the perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal. The service is attentive, and the selection of oysters is exceptional, perfectly complemented by a glass of fine Californian wine. A delightful experience that I highly recommend for anyone seeking a memorable culinary moment by the water."
This place exceeded my expectations. It could easily be mistaken for a tourist trap, but it wasn’t at all. The staff were kind and attentive. I’ve experienced a few restaurants in LA where the maître d’ gives patrons of my skin color awkwardly placed tables, but this place was very different. I was shown to one of the best tables in the restaurant. The food was excellent, and the view was beautiful. Thank you.
The food was delicious! You have a beautiful view of the harbor and the queen mary. The outside patio was enclosed so you could enjoy the view without getting cold. The clam chowder was fresh and tasted great. The fish and chips were some of the best I have had. The Cesar salad was delicious and the dressing tasted freshly made. Would definitely recommend this place!
This is a very nice restaurant in Long Beach. During the night you can see queen Mary all lit up from this restaurant. Their food is good, they have a big menu too. The severs are super nice. Simon was our server and he didn’t disturb us too much, but got there every time we wanted to order something.
Amazing food, amazing view. The waiter was very friendly to my kids. The ocean view is great and kept my two young kids entertained, they loved seeing dolphins while having dinner. The steak here is amazing, worth every penny. I personally keep coming back for the mixed grill, the shrimp, scallops and veggies are cooked to perfection. I ordered the cheese bread as an appetizer it was delicious! My kids loved the pizza here. The fact that the kids menu is not a disappointment like other restaurants tend to be is a huge plus!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Parkers' Lighthouse in Long Beach, and it was an experience worth sharing. The restaurant offers a beautiful waterfront setting with views of the Queen Mary, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely meal. The highlight of my meal was the hand-breaded fish and chips. The Alaskan cod was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, served with golden fries and traditional tartar sauce. While some might find the beer batter a bit thick, I appreciated the generous portion and satisfying taste. The fries were crispy and complemented the fish well. Service was attentive and friendly, with staff ensuring our needs were met promptly. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the overall dining experience was enjoyable. Overall, Parkers' Lighthouse offers a delightful dining experience with quality seafood and a picturesque setting. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Long Beach looking for a memorable meal.
Great location in Long Beach middle between San Diego and Los Angeles. The views are breathtaking. Tasty food and the staff is friendly. I tried the ‘I love you “ sushi which was one of the best sushis I had ever tried. Besides, their chocolate dessert was delicious and rich Nice, relaxing and spacious restaurant
The team at Parker's Lighthouse hosted us for a corporate dinner on the patio. It was beautifully scenic, and our servers were the best of the best. They gave personal attention to all 40 of us, and didn't miss a beat with all the complexity of a large party. Our meals were generously proportioned, and deliciously fresh. I wish I lived closer to go again.
What a beautiful and romantic place. Views of the ocean and the Queen Mary. Perfect place to watch the sunset. The service was fantastic and there was plenty of fresh seafood options. Oysters on the half shell, steaks of variety of fish, and even sushi. Highly recommend the Lighthouse Roll and The Queen's Roll.
This is our 3rd time at Parker’s . We’ve been to Parker’s for lunch and now dinner. All meals are great. Benjamin F. Is an incredible waiter. We’re not from here but he gave us other recommendations in the area for good food spots. We will be back and hope to have Ben again take care of us. Thanks!
First time at Parker’s and have to say the food and service were both amazing! We had a big group and our server Allen was more than accommodating. He made great recommendations for foods and drinks (which we all enjoyed) and checked on us often despite it being pretty busy at the time. Chef did an amazing job with the food as well. Will definitely be back again!
Seafood lovers MUST EAT HERE!! Didn't have a reservation, but they were accurate about their wait time and I would wait 3 hours if I have to because this place is phenomenal. Ordered the oysters, the light house roll, warm crab dip as well as the mixed grill (recommended by our server, shoutout Esli!!) Everything came out at the right temperatures and got to our table quickly, YUM! All seriousness, our server knew what she was doing AND what she was talking about while answering all of our questions. She was very friendly and attentive to everything. Will definitely be coming back, see you soon Esli, keep up the great work!!!!
We got a couple appetizers here and everything was really good. The oysters were large and very rich and delicious. The calamari was pretty good but the tarter sauce was on the sweeter side which we weren't a fan of. I ordered a cup of clam chowder and wish I ordered the bowl because it was delicious. This place has a great view and a couple TVs to watch sports We will definitely be going back when we are in the area
Our server Daniel was the best! So friendly and personable! My wife and I were visiting town for our 15th wedding anniversary and looking for a great restaurant with views and atmosphere. Parker’s checked all the boxes for what we were looking for. When you visit, ask for Daniel’s section. He’ll take GREAT care of you!
Ate here tonight while in town on business based on a coworker recommendation and I can say..It did not disappoint. Holy Cow, first of, our server Lexi was amazing. She was attentive and made some excellent recommendations from the menu. She recommended the mixed grill, we asked about the Chilean Sea Bass and she said we could get it on the Mixed Grill….SOLD. The Mixed grill is an excellent dish. Everything on the plate was delicious, the sea bass, scallops, shrimp and vegetables were cooked to perfection. The crab cake had little filler in it and was amazing. We were able to sit on the covered heated deck with excellent views of the bay and the Queen Mary. I will definitely return.
Dinner was wonderful. The patio was so amazing and a great place to watch people playing on the water. As they evening got chilly, a pull out the heaters to make for a comfortable dinner. The clam chowder was phenomenal and the seared ahi was delicious. It was a perfect dinner on vacation.
Fourth of July weekend Brunch was a great experience at Parker’s Lighthouse. This is such a beautiful and large restaurant, which allowed for us to be seated fairly quickly. The Hostess was very welcoming. We chose to sit out on the shady side facing the lighthouse. Our server Ella was great with explaining the menu highlights. Brunch was great. We walked around to view the restaurant which was immaculate and very well kept. Just simply a gorgeous location. Definitely one for the “favorites list”.
You can’t fault this place. Good value for money, great views, large patio, easy to get a table, friendly helpful staff and decent food. I had a poke bowl which came with miso soup and it was really good. The fish & chips is always good and reliably consistent every time I visit. Good selection of wines, beers and cocktails.
My wife and I come here whenever we are in the Long Beach area. We have always had an amazing experience at the restaurant. The food, service and atmosphere are outstanding. If you have read my reviews before, you know that I rarely give a straight five stars, but this place deserves it. Don't forget to have them validate your parking!
First time here, and would definitely go back. The views from the patio are beautiful. The menu is varied, you can get some amazing seafood, steaks and even sushi if you want. I opted for the Seared Hokkaido Sea Scallops over Chive Cream-Poached Potato, Spinach, Bacon Lemon Vinaigrette, Radish Sprouts and my colleague went for the Day Boat Catch of the day with Garlic Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Roasted Seasonal Vegetables. We added some garlic cheese bread and one had a cup of chowder. The scallops were seared nicely and tender. The fish dish nicely flaky and moist. We finished with the Warm Butter Cake with Strawberry Puree, Streusel Crumble, Vanilla Ice Cream (it was amazing!!) Would definitely recommend and will likely visit again.
Any great dining experience is a reflection of the staff and then the food. If you’re coming here for dinner, ask for Job. He was professional, pleasant, friendly, and intimately familiar with the menu. We started with the clam chowder, lobster and shrimp taquitos and warm crab dip. The chowder was packed full of clams and absolutely fabulous. Similarly, the lobster and shrimp taquitos are an absolute must have. They were simply out of this world. For my main course, I had the Seared Hokkaido Sea Scallops, again exceeding all expectations and falling into the excellent category. I paired my scallops with the 2023 Kettmeir Pinot Grigio based on Job’s recommendations, which was an excellent choice. My wife elected to have the lavender paradise zero proof cocktail, which she found refreshing. We wrapped up the meal with the warm butter cake topped with vanilla ice cream and complimented with berries. What could be bad it was a winner. I would highly recommend if you’re in town and have the time to come here for dinner. All of the staff was fantastic but our waiter Job definitely was a stand out. The food was exceptional, and I don’t think that you will be disappointed. Lastly, we had a table overlooking the Queen Mary, but the restaurant affords panoramic views that include the city. These views would be difficult to match at other restaurant in Long Beach.
Parker’s Lighthouse honestly is one of the easiest places to spot because of that cute, bright red rooftop. My friends and I actually noticed it while riding the boat, so once we got off, we walked straight over and claimed our seats. The menu is huge, and besides the delicious bread, everything we ordered—food and drinks—was pretty solid. Lighthouse Roll $26 Crispy Chic Sand $23 Fish N Chips $28 Mixed Grill $104 ( 2 sets) Some drinks Our server Ken was really friendly and upbeat, and the space has a little bit of everything: indoor dining, a bar area, a wine-tasting room, plus outdoor seating. We had the outdoor patio facing the Queen Mary, which basically means front-row ocean views. Super pretty. Yes, the sun hits a bit, but with the ocean breeze it’s still very chill and relaxing. We enjoyed our brunch here very much. After finishing our meal, we strolled around the village and took photos. This area is so photogenic. Highly recommend coming here for the views, the vibes, food and the walk. 📍 Parker’s Lighthouse 435 Shoreline Village Dr, Long Beach, CA 90802
Had a great dinner here. Just tried this location from the reviews and the chance for seafood. Was pleasantly surprised and happy from this choice. I had the seafood pasta it was flavored well, the pesto was amazing on it. And trying the bourbon braised short rib was utterly delicious, the meat was cooked so fine the meat fell apart when picking at it. The drinks and vibe were perfect for the setting and the views of the ocean harbor front was pleasant. Would go again
A classic waterfront spot that delivers on both food and atmosphere. The food was excellent, and it’s a great touch seeing the mesquite grill working as you enter—it immediately sets the tone. The location and views elevate the experience, making it ideal for a relaxed but memorable meal. Highly recommend the mixed grill, especially for the crab cake, and the grilled fish selections, which are simply prepared and done very well. A solid choice for fresh seafood with a quintessential Long Beach vibe.
Absolutely top notch from start to finish. Our server Vincent was friendly and welcoming. The food was awesome and as it was a warm November day when we visited we sat outside with a lovely view of the water. First ever time of trying Clam chowder - which was superb! (Not something we have in the uk!) Great visit and thoroughly enjoyable.
Took a trip to the aquarium with my kids and finished with dinner at Parker’s lighthouse. The food was pretty good, the atmosphere was amazing and we had the absolute BEST and I mean BEST waitress!! Honorable mention to Ms. Bailey….She made sure to make our FIRST experience the best experience. She immediately greeted us and her personality was so great. Right away she highlighted a few menu items in which we took a few of her suggestions. We ordered the warm crab dip which was delivered quickly, fresh and was so good. I ended up ordering the mixed grill pictured below (10/10) and my kids (8 & 6) ordered the kids pizza (also pictured below) which had amazing portion sizes & they ate the entire thing. Their meals came with ice cream which I thought was really nice considering my kids were already asking about dessert prior to arriving. We were celebrating my son’s birthday and Bailey went above and beyond yet again and had a crew sing him happy birthday. It made him feel so special and literally made his night. He talked about his experience the whole way home. Thank you Bailey…you can truly tell when a person loves their job. We will definitely be returning!

Greg was an excellent sever! We enjoyed his laughter. Great sense of humor. It was a pleasure meeting you Greg! The food taste better with you serving us! Sea bass was amazing Sped fish was a melt in the mouth woth their butter sauce OMG! The clams were really good. I’d say the white wine clam sauce could be a bit thicker. Was kind of watery. The veggies with sea bass weren’t my cup of tea. But the grilled veggies were good. Clean place. Over all great place!
The view: This is quite a sight. Has view of the Queen Mary and lighthouse. All the ships/boats going by. The food: We had the steamers for appetizer with daily fish special and seafood linguine as entrees....all were wonderful! Ding one star for the crappy cider. Would be great if there were other ciders to select. Service: The service staff was delightful and attentive. Verdict: Our family had a wonderful time and foods were great. Will definitely visit again.
The staff were extremely friendly. My wife and I went for the first time for our anniversary. They have a great view of the queen Mary. The fish and chips are ok. Serves enough for 2. They need more salt and seasoning. The calamari was great. Not too greasy and serves enough for 2. The sushi salmon role is amazing. It taste fresh and the salmon does not taste fishy.
Got the Mixed Grill. It was delicious. Fish and seafood were fresh and clean. Overall flavor and execution were great. My wife got the seafood linguini she said the clams weren't cleaned properly because the sauce had a sandy texture which happens when they aren't soaked before cooking. She did say the pasta had good flavor though. Overall good experience.
Outstanding food! Our server was Amazing and had the best personality. The food was wonderful! My only negative, is that when I went upstairs to use the restroom, there was a STRONG urine smell in the hallway. Reminded me of Skid Row. Also, come an hour earlier than your reservation because parking is NUTS!!! Other than those two things, it felt amazing and the ambiance was top notch.
Been here 2x and the food quality remain the same. The location is spot on, where you get to see the boat and ocean. Both time, i came in mid week, during lunch hour. Not crowded. Even that the service was okay. They not come often to ask and refill for water. I would recommend if you need a place to meet between LA and OC
It was my first time there uponinterring the hostesses were very nice and friendly. We got a table right away. It'll be Mother's Day weekend, and all was sat by a window to look at the boats, which was really nice, our waiter. Was nice, friendly, and informative of the specials. It was for us.We ordered 2 seafood cobb salads, chilian sea bass and lobster sandwich water, wine, and a cocktail. No dessert because we were heading to the movies.
This is a perfect spot to sit alongside the water watch the waves and the boats pass by oh and did I mention the best crabcakes and cheesy bread you’ve ever tasted. They also have an amazing lobster salad and their butter cake is top-tier. oh, and I forgot to mention the clam chowder soup and the lobster and shrimp taquitos.👍😋
Overall service is excellent, sushi is mid, not made by traditional Japanese chef. Seafood, including catch of the day are fresh and well money's worth. The only good thing is the seafood and the garlic cheese bread. fish and chips: fish is fresh but the batter could be improved.
If you're in the area, Parkers' Lighthouse should be added as a stop. We came at happy hour and was seated inside next to the patio. The drinks were light and refreshing. We ordered chicken wings with the buffalo sauce on the side. The garlic cheese bread was buttery with a great cheese pull. My New England Clam was enjoyable and hearty. I did have to add pepper for more seasoning. Our entrees were not from the happy hour menu. Thanks to the chef for letting us order full entrees. Delicious Seafood Linguine full of clams and scallops. The linguine tossed in garlic, herbs, and butter was amazing. Although my husband's Bone-in Ribeye was ordered medium, it was cooked well done. He enjoyed the flavor, just wished it wasn't overcooked.
The food here is very good! We also had a really good server, his name is Ben! I ordered warm crab dip, very good, and seafood linguine, also pretty good. She ordered a sampler dish that had sword fish, crab cake, vegetables, and potatoes, and she loved it! She also ordered an alcoholic drink, I don’t remember the name of it, I think part of the name was passion, but the drink had so much ice in it, she said she couldn’t taste any flavor. The drink was $17 I believe. So that is our only complaint. The staff was professional and friendly and the food was a 10, just not the drink. Also the outside is very pretty seeing all the boats everywhere. We will definitely visit again.
came here for lunch with my family and it was pretty good! the lobster tails with melted butter was my fave

Let me start with the Location. Such a wonderful location with the views and the ambiance at night with the lights and the Queen Mary. However the food was priced high and the quality and quantity …
Went to Long Beach with my wife on weekend gateway. This was our first time going to this restaurant and we are happy we did. The food was amazing but expensive but well worth it. I got the surf an…
This used to be "The Place" but honestly this last visit was very sub-par. The micro portion of food was very disappointing. My cioppino was worthy of a Campbell's soup label. I have never seen such a micro portion. My wife's seafood linguini wasn't much better. The service was "okay" I still tip well because servers don't have it easy, but our last visit may have been our last visit. We might try across the bay to the sister restaurant (The Reef) to see if it is down graded as well. Maybe Redondo Beach pier will still be good too.
Calamari ⭐⭐⭐ - what you'd expect - little soft and soggy, would like it more crisp personally Cioppino ⭐⭐⭐ - too salty - not tomato enough - seafood was a little fishy - the bread here was better than the dinner rolls served initially Beet salad ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - pretty good - wish it had more beets and arugula, mostly quinoa
Came here with my wife for Valentine’s Day. They had a “special” that was $99 per person. Pre planned 3 course meal. The food was great, but for the overcharge (my meal would have been close to $75 on a regular night), it didn’t come with anything special. They really blew their chance to add something, ANYTHING to make it more romantic. They could have added a flower to the table, a “complimentary” glass of [cheap house] champagne, a chocolate heart on the dessert… but all we got was a “Happy Valentine’s Day” from the server. I’d recommend not coming here for a special occasion if they are just jacking up the price for a limited menu with no additions. My wife saw the table across from us enjoying sushi. We asked if we could order some as an appetizer - server said no. I understand the “pre-planned” menu, but I don’t understand turning down a customer that is willing to pay for your product. We weren’t asking to change or make substitutions, we just wanted to add something that was available to other tables. Would be great for a casual date, with the full menu. Not recommended for Valentine’s Day at the very least. I still can’t believe they didn’t at least put a flower on the table, or turned to color of the table lamp to red, or added little candy hearts to the dessert, arranged the shrimp in a heart, added pink to the butter… there are tons of cheap (if not free) things they could have done to spice things up. No effort at all for a romantic night.
What a beautiful restaurant, amazing views and staff very good. We called ahead to make reservations but still wait but that was for a table outside and yes it is worth it! We had a stunning view of the queen mary. We started with bottle root beer and Bloody Mary which was on point. Next the bread was warm and butter sweet and delicious. For starters or appetizers we got Cesar salad which was good and the fried calamari which was the best thing we ate. Young child got the pasta and Alfredo sauce with fruit cup which is $4 extra but definitely our best meal. Next was the sushi combination for $30 the rolls were much better than the individual sushi piece. Left about 5 piece after. Fish of the day was way over cooked and my wife only ate about 1/3 of it for this reason. I got the famous burger which the meat was very gamey and not fresh tasting and the bottom of the bun half was super wet and almost gummy. The fries were cold and horrible. We left so much food based on this disappointment. Sadly I cannot recommend this restaurant unless appetizers only. Nestled in the heart of Shoreline Village, Parker’s Lighthouse is a standout seafood restaurant offering breathtaking views of the Long Beach Harbor and Queen Mary. This iconic, multi-level structure is instantly recognizable with its red-roofed tower and nautical charm, making it a popular dining destination for locals, tourists, and special occasions. Parker’s Lighthouse is best known for its fresh seafood, prime steaks, and award-winning wine list. The menu features everything from sushi and lobster tails to grilled swordfish and clam chowder, all artfully prepared with a focus on quality and presentation. One of the restaurant’s signature features is its mesquite-grilled seafood, which imparts a distinctive smoky flavor to the fresh catches of the day. Guests can also enjoy expertly crafted cocktails or a glass of wine from the extensive cellar, all while soaking in views of passing boats and waterfront sunsets. The ambiance is upscale yet relaxed, with floor-to-ceiling windows that wrap around the dining areas, offering panoramic harbor views. Whether you’re seated on the outdoor patio or indoors by the window, every table feels connected to the water. It’s a particularly romantic spot for dinner at dusk, when the harbor lights begin to shimmer. Parker’s Lighthouse also includes the Queensview Steakhouse on its top level, offering an elevated fine-dining experience with a focus on premium cuts and an elegant, quiet atmosphere. Just steps from the Aquarium of the Pacific and downtown Long Beach, Parker’s Lighthouse is more than a restaurant—it’s a destination. With its stunning views, high-quality cuisine, and prime location, it’s easy to see why it has become a beloved part of the Long Beach waterfront for over three decades.
The food here was incredible!! Expensive but worth it for the portions and taste. However we waited about 45 minutes after seating to get any service or to even be noticed which wasn't great. I'd love to come back hopefully better service the next time :). The view was so beautiful too
A populat place we wanted to try as we were around. The restaurant is huge - they are not open everywhere and even they have table for reservations only, we were able to sit by the edge and have the view. Outside they have those tall window glasses so you are a bit protected from the wind. Our waitress was very nice and accomodated for us. We got starters: Lobster & Shrimp Taquitos and the crispy brussels sprouts. The taquitos weren’t bad, but with all the salsa you can’t really taste much and I would assume that’s the technic so that you don’t pay too much attention to the inside and how little filling you get. That was the most disappointing dish for me. And, for $23 I mean, come on. The crispy brussel sprouts were fine, very oily - a bit more than what I would usually see maybe. For the main dishes we got the sea food pasta that were good. And, I got the Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna, which was also good. You have fish, rice, mushroom and a cucumber/carrot little salad. The portion were also on the bigger side I would say. Not everything was to my taste. I did enjoy their Wasabi Mayo with the Tuna, that was good! Obviously, what also makes this place popular would be the view of the harbor and the Queen Mary - a reason for the prices to be on the high side. We had an overall good dinner experience, but nothing that was outstanding to me or would make me want to come back. Yes, the view and scenery is cool, but the food didn’t justify the price.

Very average dinner. The sea bass was over cooked. Scallops and shrimp were okay. Definitely not worth the money for quality of food served.
The food here is not good. I had the seafood linguine. It was a dreadful mess. It was served in a bowl with the pasta and seafood swimming in an unpleasant green liquid. It was like a soup. The scallops, shrimp and clams were absolutely tasteless and the pasta was mushy. A really bad dish! My companion had the Chilean seabass and left most of it uneaten. We left very unhappy. I can't understand how this place has the relatively high rating it has.
I am not sure how this place has such high reviews. The atmosphere is good but very dimly lit. The server was slow and definitely didn't come around often enough. The food was overpriced and not that great. I expected it to be a better dining experience but food quality is more for a tourist spot that has great location over quality. Go here to eat. It's not bad but not great and definitely not great for the price.
Very disappointed with our Valentine’s Day dinner here. It was a prefixed menu. We started with the oysters and Caesar salad. It was $20 for 4 oysters, when the oysters came, they were very small and it looked like the meat was missing. I had to turn on my flashlight to see a tiny film in the bottom of the shell and I guess that was what they called an oyster. Basically nothing there. Even if they were good quality, large oysters, $20 is a lot for four oysters. Then my wife’s salad came. $20 for a small Caesar salad that was mostly iceberg lettuce, and a couple croutons. Please see the pic. A side solid at Denny’s was better than this… The entrées came and they were decent . One was steak and one tuna . The steak was small and came with about five stocks of asparagus and some mashed potatoes. The tuna came with white rice. $64 each! Expected much better for this price. It was not mastros! The last was the dessert. My wife got the chocolate brownie that was $15. They said they were out of it. I ordered the lemon tart, they brought cheesecake instead and I told them that I had the lemon tart and they could just put it to go at that point. They came back at the end and gave me the dessert to go in a box inside a paper bag. When I got home, I opened it to eat it and it looked like it was smashed. The box was still perfect, and it never got spilled in my car. It wasn’t just upside down. It was broken and clearly smashed. That was $15 also. The reason I put two stars instead of one is because the waitress was very nice and professional. They were very busy that night understandably. A 320 bill for dinner for two with a drink each for that kind of food is hard to accept. I don’t usually write reviews for anywhere I go, but this had to be shared

What an awful experience yesterday with the two gals "running the hostess station."\n\nParty of 6 arrived at 4pm for Happy hour and we were asked to wait. (We assumed there was no seats available) …
Our visit to Parker’s Lighthouse was laced with utter disrespect from staff, overpriced underpoured and watery drinks, and portions which were not only too small but bland to say the least as well. Their highly recommended mixed grill platter for 52 dollars on the picture below is not only too small but also grandly distasteful. The only one great thing about this restaurant was view.
I remember going here and getting great food for the past 40 years , but I was very disappointed. All three of us had horrible food. My friends and I have not seen each other for a long time, so we just did not have time to complain. The waiter never came back to ask how our food was, and he was hard to locate to relay our concerns about the food. Very sad , and disappointing. We received much better service from the hostess at the entrance.
First time here and Last time most likely! It started great service but when the bill came, I felt a bit taken advantage of! Especially if I had ordered 2 drinks but I had meant only one drink. Nicole, the waitress was great but not quite truthful! Will not be going back here! It's a principle thing!
