Opinions de Sierra's Mexican Food Georgetown
I had the chicken enchiladas with Verde sauce it was quite delicious I just wish they would’ve put in another enchilada onto the plate other than that it was very enjoyable!
I’ve been working in Georgetown since April and have been wanting to try this place. Today I finally did and I’m mad I didn’t try it sooner. I had the breakfast tacos bacon, egg and cheese and they were so GOOD and the salsa is amazing too. I will definitely be back on my cheat days!! You can tell the ingredients are fresh and the food is made with love. Side note: even when I pulled up I could smell all the great aromas and my mouth immediately started watering!!
Small space but cute. Service was friendly. The food was just right. Not too expensive for the portion and cooked well.
A long standing Georgetown favorite, especially with long-term locals. The menu is concise and the food is delicious. People have told me more than once that they find themselves craving their favorite dish from this truly home style restaurant. Sierra's is the kind of place that new "high concept" operations try to imitate. I recommend Sierra's as Georgetown's authentic and sincere option for a great Tex-Mex meal.
We were out shopping in the area and decided to roll the dice on a random, well-reviewed restaurant for dinner. Sierra’s popped up — close by, good ratings — so off we went. When we pulled into the parking lot, it was suspiciously... not crowded for a Friday night in a busy area. We almost bailed (because no crowd usually means no bueno), but thankfully we stuck with the plan. And let me tell you: we hit the jackpot. Sierra’s is a tiny little gem — maybe 30 seats total — but what it lacks in size it makes up for with heart (and flavor!). When we walked in, we were the only customers. As you might expect, the service was outstanding — partly because there were no distractions, and partly because I’m convinced it was Sierra herself taking care of us. But even her wonderful hospitality was overshadowed by the food. The food stole the show. We started with the classic chips and queso. The queso: homemade and packed with flavor. The salsa: also homemade, fresh, and just the right amount of kick. The chips: warm, hearty, and clearly made with love — not those sad, flimsy chips you get at some places. My wife ordered the migas with cheese and immediately declared them the best she’s ever had (and trust me, she’s a professional migas critic at this point). The standout: the migas here use hard-fried tortilla strips, not the usual soft, soggy bits. It added a crunch and texture that took the dish to a whole new level. She wasn’t a fan of the refried beans because they had a heavy pork flavor (she’s vegetarian), but lucky for me — the carnivore at the table — they were delicious. I ordered steak and egg tacos, and honestly, they were phenomenal. The tortillas were incredibly fresh and warm. The steak was tender and flavorful. The eggs were cooked just the way I like them (which almost never happens outside of my own kitchen).
An amazing mom and pop Mexican restaurant that flies under the radar. The menu items are all made with love and I haven't had one item that isn't simply delicious. Even the salsa that comes with the chips is freshly made and is superb. Sierra's has become our goto spot when we crave a home cooked meal.
New to Georgetown, we're always trying to find good Mexican food . Sierra's has very good Mexican food, friendly & quick service, and very clean. They have great lunch specials & for Mother's Day, Mariachis will be there to entertain us for brunch. This was our first time eating at Sierra's and we'll definitely return, often.
Super clean with super nice wait staff. The atmosphere is very local, mom and pop shop...nothing fancy at all, but very clean and orderly. I had no worries ordering anything from the menu. Migas taco was perfectly cooked fluffy eggs with a great flavor profile. There was a lot of food stuffed on that one taco...great value and bang for the buck for sure. We also ordered the ribeye steak with eggs, beans and potatoes (good brain food before school to prepare for a state mandated test)! I did not eat any, but my son loved loved it...said it was a perfectly cooked and well seasoned medium rare ribeye. It was thin cut and a near perfect breakfast steak. I say near perfect as I actually think it was too large of a portion for breakfast, but a teenage boy did not mind at all! He ate every bite! Coffee was a standard brew that was very good. The salsa is a traditional tomato heavy red sauce that gave a tad of flavor, but not much heat at all. The menu has lots of options ..even pancakes and more traditional American fare. I'm looking forward to going back and trying out the lunch menu...I really want to try their green sauce! All in all a 5 star experience...wish I had visited here years ago!
Delicious, authentic Mexican food with generous portions and great prices. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere feels like home. A hidden gem in Georgetown!
Quaint, genuine Mexican restaurant. Little house with tables and chairs scattered about. Decent food that is about what you’d expect from an affordable “mom & pop” style local Mexican restaurant. Waitress was friendly.
Driving through on our way to Dallas. Welcoming atmosphere, service is great very attentive. The establishment is small, but charming. You will hear everyone's conversations loud and clear lol . Coffee was hot and our cups were never empty. Only thing in my opinion they need is fresh tortillas store bought can ruin a meal for me. I ordered the Chilaquiles with a side of bacon my birthday got the beef fajita burrito he enjoyed it very much. Note: Our bill for 2 chilaquiles plates side of bacon a fajita omelette two potato and eggs tacos 3 coffees and sweet tea came to $70.00 with tip
Food was great! Coffee great as well as the service... Price is a little more than expected. Our bill came out to 62.00 wife and son Chilaquiles, plate and I had the beef fajitas omlette, daughter had two potatoe and egg tacos. Three coffees and a hot chocolate. Honestly everything was great. Definitely worth trying
Small Mexican restaurant nats open for breakfast and lunch only the food is good the prices are reasonable this restaurant used to be a small home near the McDonald's little tough to get around the traffic to get to it on the back side the waitresses are nice the food is good they have daily specials that you can take your vannage of always enjoy going there for breakfast or for lunch they do not open for dinner
A little disappointed in the quality. Ordered chorizo con huevos with potatoes. The potatoes were semi warm. The beans, eggs and chorizo were just ok. If you get chips, they charge you 2.99 before 11 am. After 11 am the chips are free. I don't get it. I want this place to be successful but at this time, there are other places.
Recent management & staff changes have resulted in 3 incorrect order charges on 3 separate occasions. 3rd event was today: ordered a lunch item but was served a full plate option at an increase in $6 from lunch item price. Waitress acknowledged mistake; on site supervisor resisted adjusting the lunch bill. Waitress required to pay the $6 mistake out of her pay so I tipped the waitress $6. She then gave the $6 to the onsite supervisor who then adjusted my check to the correct amount. Restaurant manager was not on site. Disappointed that a waitress mistake resulted in onsite supervisor losing all customer satisfaction focus. Bigger concern: is this a common practice that goes unchallenged? Food preparation remains above average but having to watch my bill at every visit is unacceptable.
Today we picked up 2 lunch meals. The taco shells were less than 1/2 filled, rice pathetic, refers cold. Man, What happened here? This was a favorite place not long ago. Too bad ElCharito was t serving lunch as early as 10:30 a Food is expensive, is it too much to expect that for $12 you would get a decent meal?
