Cracker Barrel Old Country store & restaurant is a guaranteed rest stop for us during any of our travels with or without the travel trailer. Good homestyle meals and always good service even when crowded. Especially love shopping either before or after the meal. We generally plan our stops at Cracker Barrel in TN, GA, FL based up the number of Bus & RV parking slots. Great place to boondock and have a wonderful breakfast to start your day. We'll always be a loyal customer, we highly recommend this establishment.
The service and the food was great! I was over charged for a shirt It was supposed to be 25% off but I was charged full price. I thought I was being overcharged but the clerk told me she had taken price reductions off both women’s tops I bought. It was late and we were their last customer she placed the receipt in the bag. So we left. This morning I looked at the receipt I did not get my discount.
I love eating at Cracker Barrel. This was my first time at this location and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We try to go at "off" hours to prevent large crowds where the wait it too long. This goes for any restaurant that gets super bust at breakfast, lunch, dinner hours. The wait staff were very friendly and right on the button when it was time to bring things (they knew the social ques). We ordered three shareable foods: the biscuit beignet, fried pickles, and cheese curds. All were fantastic. I want to go back just for more beignets. Lunch was also great. We had two orders of the country fried turkey and an order of fish and chips. Plus I love the eclectic decorations they always have. Plus you can't beat the country store. Ended up grabbing some craft sodas to take home.
We love this location. The staff is friendly. The food comes 😋 out delicious even on a busy day. I enjoyed the newest seasonal ☕️ coffee. It is a sweet treat. I look forward to trying the sparlking new seasonal drink. The store is full of a diverse selection of unique 🎁 gifts for every person on your Christmas 🎄 list. Grateful for a wonderful place to eat that is family friendly. We went on a breakfast date but look forward to a family breakfast during the holiday season.
I’ve been to many Cracker Barrel restaurants but this one was beyond amazing service impeccable Sierra our server was super sweet and attentive, food was just delicious and the beignets are to die for. This location has an amazing vibe, every single one person was so helpful, polite and professional. My husband and I had breakfast and I truly recommend the hash browns casserole.
Late entry for the Date: November 2, 2024 We had the pleasure of celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary at Cracker Barrel for breakfast, and the experience was truly unforgettable! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our server was exceptional—prompt, attentive, and clearly knowledgeable about the menu. They made eye contact, which added a personal touch, and ensured we felt welcomed and celebrated. Their thoughtful demeanor made our evening even more special for us. The food was delicious, as always, and served hot and fresh. Every detail, from the friendly smiles to the cozy ambiance, created the perfect setting for our milestone celebration. Thank you, Cracker Barrel, for making our 15th anniversary so memorable. We will definitely be back! A very happy couple!
I previously gave this location a poor review. We decided to try it again and I had a conversation with the manager. Though there is still tweaking, I had a better understanding of the managers position. I know restaurant life is not easy. Chloe is the best server and made up for the last experience by far. I love Cracker Barrel as it is over a 35 year core memory and would hate to lose it in my life. I pray this location thrives and more servers like we had today.
Katie W was our server and she was so kind, prompt, and made sure we had everything we needed! Jade at checkout was also so sweet and friendly! Great service and overall experience. Food came quick and was great!
A delightful experience even at lunch time on a Saturday the food and service were both good and there was not much of a wait for a table.
The food was typical Cracker Barrel homestyle comfort food. The service from every staff member we encountered was extraordinary. The hostess was genuinely happy and welcoming. Our server was knowledgeable and on top of things even as she was training a new server. The manager checked in to make sure everything Was satisfactory. And finally, the clerk checking us out was so kind and happy as well. The team that was working when we were there all were fantastic.
We love Cracker Barrel! The service is always quick and friendly, the food is delicious and served hot, prices are great too. I am so glad you're keeping the same. That's what gives it its charm and separates it from all the other restaurants.
We went for dinner last night before seeing a movie and as always had a great experience. Xeno was fantastic and a joy to talk to. Really enjoyed having them as a server. Food came out fresh and hot, suggestions for specials were made, hostess was friendly, the cashier was friendly, restaurant was very clean.
I have eaten at Cracker Barrel many times and the food is always delicious - Today was no exception. First time I've ever ordered steak at Cracker Barrel and it was just wonderful!! Our waiter was very attentive and the service was excellent!! Can't wait to go back!
Came in for breakfast and had a great meal! Our waitress Kristen was lovely and kept my tea glass full! Shopping 🛍️ is always a thrill as the holidays approach! Please don’t let bad corporate rhetoric prevent you for supporting the hard working smiling faces of CB!! 🥞🥓🍳🥩🥞🧈
Amazing experience at Cracker Barrel enjoying the Cheese Bites and the BBQ Bacon Smokestack. Service is top-notch. Food is delicious. And the environment feels nice and satisfying.
Picked up a Thanksgiving feast and everyone was super friendly and the food outstanding! I had happy tears because I'm so grateful for the amazing food they provide so that I can focus on spending time with family!

They brought back the eggs in a basket! Yay! And they took the bar out of the dining room. Yay. Still have alcohol though---seems weird. Good and service were good.

The service was slow and as a single person, I was seated in a row of tables with my elbow almost touching the neighboring diner. It should have known not to order Chicken & Dumplings. I have never found them to be like the ones at the Valrico restaurant. As usual, when they were served to me, they looked like wallpaper paste. There was no broth. It was a glob of dough with strings of chicken. The chicken looked like something in my dog's food. I asked for something else and by the time my main course arrived, I was done with the vegetables and biscuits. I didn't want country fried steak but that's what I ordered figuring it would be faster than anything else. Just a bad meal.
I havent been to a cracker barrel in years, and I found this place refreshed and much more modern than I remembered. They have done a great job on the decor and bringing that country charm to the public with a modern twist. I ordered the maple bacon grilled chicken with a sweet potatoe.. it was pretty good, alittle to much sweet sauce for my taste but overall good. My family enjoyed their meals and overall had a good experience. Our server was new and alittle overwhelmed it seemed but she kind and we had a good experience. Not fancy, or high end, but a great little place for the family for a country style meal.
This is my favorite Cracker Barrel. I have breakfast at this store twice a month. This week they had a special with a Cinnamon Roll Pie Breakfast and the Cinnamon Roll Latte. The Cinnamon Roll Latte was very good, not sweet and had a Cappuccino flavor. It was the highlight of my visit. Ordered the Cinnamon Roll Pie Breakfast and, although the overall breakfast was good, the pie texture was not in alignment with what I like and enjoy. It was somewhat dry and hard in the edges.
All I can think of with cracker barrel, is the conflict that they had recently with their logo and the interior design. I didn't appreciate the logo and what it implied or at least what the media said it implied, and with that along side was the renovation of the interior. I never saw the logo on this store change, but the interior is definitely different than what I remember, and to be honest, I appreciate the previous design over this one. The food was average and the service was average at best.
The only reason why this review isn't 5 stars is b/c the online ordering app (and phone-in) orders for takeout is higher than if you ordered in person at the restaurant. The food, service, and pretty much everything else has been consistently outstanding over the past 3-5 years of regularly dining in and carrying -out! With few exceptions, everything was perfect!
We are usually in for breakfast but we decided on brunch. Not knowing we could have a breakfast menu as well, we had to ask for one after they assumed we were in for lunch and dinner. Any who! We ended up ordering off the lunch and dinner menu. We watched people who were seated after us receive their food first. One of the floor managers came over to assure us that our order was coming out next. At this time, I was two empty cups in. I ordered a meatloaf meal with three sides and my husband had a chicken and biscuits meal. Our order came out about 10-20 minutes after the manager notified us BUT my order was incomplete. The server told me my corn bread was in the process of being made and will be out. We took her word. After eating all my mashed potatoes and broccoli and half of my meatloaf, my husband had to stop the server and ask about my corn bread. She admitted she forgot about it and quite honestly I didn't even want it anymore because my food was done. No apologies were given nor did I expect one after the service. I still tipped my server but now I'm feeling on the fence about returning to the one in Riverview/Gibsonton. I traveled from Ruskin when I could have easily gone to Sarasota where the other one is located. But we'll see....
I spend some nights at CB as I travel and camp in my camper van. Always get something to eat or in the gift shop as a thank you. I am a vegetarian so my meal options are a bit limited. The new Garden Scramble was excellent! Thank you!
Yesterday I ordered what I always order the platter with chicken and dumplings, meatloaf, and fried chicken with two sides, pinto beans and carrots. The carrots were very good. However meatloaf was lukewarm warm and not very tasty! Dumplings needed more chicken and seasoning. The fried chicken was really good and hot. My husband wanted to order the fried chicken meal but it wasn’t available until Saturday! We don’t know why the change in menu but we didn’t care for it and probably won’t be back for awhile! Our waitress was good and also the cashier who checked us out!

We visited the Gibsonton, Fl location and we were the first 2 of a party of 9 to arrive. They were not busy and we watched them set up a table right away, but the hostess said we couldn't sit there until 8 of our people had arrived. She did let us sit at a vacant 2-top right next to our table so we could get off our feet. When we saw the rest of our party arriving, we started to move to the table that was set for us, and some guy (the manager?) blew a gasket, even when we explained it was our table. Very silly, but the rest of the experience was fine.
My son and I went here in remembrance of my father today, it was his favorite restaurant back home before he passed away. The server I assume was new. Wasn't sure of the menu for all day breakfast. Couldn't remember which items were on it and instead grabbing the menu he went back and forth asking. I told him I wanted biscuits and apple butter and no gravy. I asked him after about 10 min for the biscuits and Instead of bringing that ahead of the meal as we are accustomed to at Cracker Barrell he tells me "I see your food coming up in the window". Didn't come back for another 10 minutes and gave me my son food and my son mine and a bowl of gravy and biscuits. Hashbrowns were crunchy and steak tips were dry. I will not order that again and Will avoid that waiter if I go back to that location. This was a first at a Cracker Barrell for me. I did tell the clerk at check out this was not a good experience when asked.
The food was atrocious. I ordered a country fried steak. All the breading fell off. The biscuits were hard and cold. The gravy been runny. This is one of the stores they remodeled. It feels very sterile not inviting. The one good thing was service was great. Oh yeah, the worst bloody Mary ever had in my life. Taste was bland no garnish no salt.

Typically I love Cracker Barrel. Today it was an epic fail, which is very disappointing considering this was my first visit back since having surgery. Per usual I ordered the New York Strip, med rare, with scrambled eggs. (My daughter got the exact same thing.) Our steaks came out and were well done! They brought more steaks out and they were well done. Theo our wonderful server got the manager, Ashley. She was wonderful also, and got me a replacement that I could take home. Which I love less than 5 minutes from the restaurant. However the replacement meal was trash! The steak wasn’t seasoned, it was a little pink, the second steak that was brought out to me was cooked in a garlic butter and smelt delish! This steak looks like they boiled it! Especially by the liquid in the bottom of my tray, which you can clearly see in the picture wasn’t butter! You have to do better Cracker Barrel! This was horrible!! I was left frustrated and still hungry.
Honestly. I’m just tired of ordering from Cracker Barrel delivery. The cooks put little care into the food and the manager just creates excuses. I order the breakfast bowl all the time and most of the time I order, they put the dish in a plate and I get significantly less food. Every time this happens I call and talk to Ashley and she always have them remake the dish and I swing by after dropping my son off. It did become tiring of continuing to get the dish wrong so I just stopped ordering for a few months. I just stared ordering again and decided to add in the cinnamon rolls. When my order was delivered, the icing made it on one roll and the rest were completely dry and hard since they had no moisture from the icing. I call into this time and got a new manager Michael and he didn’t seem to care at all. He made excuses and when I told him about my previous issues, he justified it but said this issue was the “presentation” of getting a plate and by my breakfast bowl. He was so unpleasant and unprofessional that I don’t know how Cracker Barrel hired him as a manager to deal with escalated issues. After my encountering with him, I’m never ordering from Cracker Barrel again. His attitude is the reason the cooks can care less about the food they serve customers, just look at the rubbish they delivered to me!!! Dry, no icing cinnamon rolls! They actually served this.
While the food tasted good, it was not what I ordered. The waitress was a little flippant and I had to wait 30 minutes for my food. (I was eating alone) and the restaurant was not that busy. I’ve always had good service with Cracker Barrel and it disappoints me to have to leave this review. I left very disappointed.
Grew up eating Cracker Barrel but this was by far the worst experience ever at a Cracker Barrel. Took the waitress 15 minutes to greet us. She kept forgetting things every time she came to the table. We have a toddler so that wasn’t fun. She forgot straws, apple juice, I never got a refill. I had no dipping sauce for my chicken and waited a solid 20 minutes to get it along with gravy for my biscuits. She took so long with everything that we ran over my daughter’s nap by 35 minutes and it was a full tantrum meltdown by the time we left. Her name was Zeno? Won’t return.
I have celiac disease and I need a gluten free diet. Your selection for gluten free food is very limited. I had your grilled chicken in the past and was satisfied with it the first time. This time it was very dry and not much flavor and it must have had cross contamination because I had an adverse reaction. The first time the waitress was very cautious with my needs and followed the process through to be sure there was no cross contamination, this time it wasn't taken has serious. Also, the atmosphere was poor it was so cold I was shivering the whole visit with my jacket on and the food got cold quickly. This makes for an unpleasant visit. Cracker Barrel as always been my favorite go to restaurant but since being gluten free it is not my first choice. There are steps you could take to make it gluten friendly, such as using corn starch instead of flour for your gravies it makes it creamer and richer and gluten friendly. I used to enjoy your pot roast and that simple step using corn starch even when browning the beef makes it gluten friendly. I still enjoy your country store but your menu opinions for gluten free foods needs some work. All staff members need to understand what a gluten free meal is and why it is important not to cross contaminate.
The ladies at the front were great. This score was not a reflection of them and or their service. They actually checked on my food several times after noticing I had been there 20+ minutes past my pickup time. I watched 5 orders come out before mine even after being told “it’s coming out now” at 5:30 (pick up your was 5:21). My food was brought out (finally) and as I had my hand extended to exchange the bag from a male employee’s hand to mine…even met him so he didn’t have to walk to far. I still showed kindness however that staff member was cold. Know what else was cold…my food! The smallest serving of cold hash brown casserole (that I paid extra for), stiff cold eggs, cold crunchy bacon, and tough pancakes. And no apple butter for the biscuits. I was actually sad not even disappointed because what was that.
I recently visited Cracker Barrel with my family for a late lunch, and unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. • The food felt off-brand compared to what I’m used to from Cracker Barrel starting with the extremely small portion size for side dishes. • The soda was flat, and the tea was bland. • The gravy, steaks, and biscuits arrived cold, which was disappointing for a sit-down meal. • To make matters worse, the restaurant was completely out of ketchup, which made it difficult to enjoy certain dishes. The visit was not up to the standard I’ve come to expect. While the atmosphere was welcoming, the quality of the food and beverages left much to be desired. I will return, because I love this place, and I am not asking for a discount, money back, or a coupon but I do hope management takes note and improves consistency so future visits can reflect the comfort and reliability Cracker Barrel is known for. (I visited on Sunday and waited 1 min shy of 1 hour for my food after being seated, yes I was counting because I was STARVING.)
I’ve been to this location a few times and unfortunately the food has consistently lacked quality and flavor. I highly recommend visiting the Valrico or Seffner locations instead, they’ve been much better in my experience.

***Update: The fact that you use such a canned response to a review, makes me feel you are in no way sincere in addressing issues at your store. No matter how much information I share, you still haven’t addressed my review. Food was okay and table was clean. Plated food looked like it spent a little too long under the lights, but what can you do… Service was on the slow side and they ran out of forks. (Restaurant was barely at 50% capacity.) I realize Covid has a lot of things flipped upside down, but I will probably not go back to this location.
So, I had a bad experience here. I usually like their fish, but l have never seen anything like this before. They didn't even put in the fish that I like. So, I mean I may just have to stop ordering from here. It really is just not okay. So, I will not be giving them anymore of my service NOR money. Bunch of crap!!! Don't order from this place! It's God awful! Whoever does the orders fire them!!!!! They aren't doing their job correctly!
When we arrived, there was no wait to be seated, which was great. However, after sitting down, it took about 10 minutes for our waitress to come and take our order. After ordering, I stepped away to browse the store for about 20 minutes. When I returned, my husband told me the drinks had just been delivered. Shortly after that, our food arrived, but it was very disappointing. The meatloaf was burnt on one entire side, and the hash brown casserole was extremely dry—honestly the worst I’ve ever tasted. I considered mentioning it to the waitress, but she didn’t return to our table for nearly another 20 minutes. By that time, I had eaten what was edible and was ready to leave. Overall, this was the worst food and service experience we’ve ever had at this Cracker Barrel location. Very disappointing!
Google should allow negative stars. Over an hour and a half for lunch. Over 55 minutes to receive our food. The chicken fried chicken and country fried steak were burnt. The eggs were runny, and the egg whites were partially raw. The potatoes were raw. Service was beyond terrible. We had to ask 3 times for a slice of lemon for a drink, and to just get a refill. After waiting 55 minutes for our food they charged me $1.99 for gravy for my country fried steak. Save your time, money, and frustration and eat somewhere, anywhere else!
I had a very disappointing experience at this Cracker Barrel due to poor customer service. I stood at the counter for nearly 15 minutes waiting to place a to-go order, and no one acknowledged me. When I finally spoke up to ask for assistance, I overheard an employee named Darlena talking about me to her other co workers instead of helping me, which was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. Customers shouldn’t have to wait that long just to be acknowledged, and they definitely shouldn’t be talked about when asking for help. This experience left a bad impression, and I hope management addresses how customers are treated. Spoke to courtney who just walked in to make the transition smooth however she indeed gave me the meal free along with 2 gift cards I would have like to pay but she refused.
We arrived at this location at around 3:30pm Nov. 11, 2025. We were party of 3. We ordered Barrel Burger, Chickn n' dumplins and Shrimp skillet. The burger was a 4 out of 5. The other 2 dishes were so so so salty that we only could take a couple of bites. The blonde waitress offered to replace the dishes but we were in a hurry. We still left an 18% tip for the waitress because it was not her fault and she was polite and kind. we've had good experience at other CB locations but we won't be coming back to this one.
Food here is usually good but BEWARE...there appears to be a bait and switch policy going on. We purchased an item WITH CASH and returned it on the same day with the receipt in accordance with the return policy posted and on the back of the receipt. Instead of getting a refund we were quickly given a gift card to Cracker Barrel. Upon questioning the staff became rude, advised they needed to call the corporate office and told us per Courtney Wright, General Manager we could only receive a gift card. Now, that should also be posted at the time of purchase. We were told it's because we paid cash...soooo while they were eager to take our cash, they would only refund with a gift card forcing us to use the money only in Cracker Barrel...while pointing to the refund policy and stressing what happens after 30 days.....even though we purchased and returned on the same day with the receipt. DONT USE CASH IN THIS STORE YOU WILL BE PENALIZED.
Not once but EVERY SINGLE TIME we have come here we cant ever get biscuits or cornbread before our meals, not gonna lie we ask each time and still have we ever gotten it before our main meals? No... each server brings it with the meal, never beforehand. Since when has this been the standard?
Don’t fall for their rewards scam. We were asked by the person that sat us to sign up for the rewards program to receive a free appetizer at no charge. When we went to redeem it with the server after signing up, she told us it couldn’t be redeemed today. This is a cheap ploy at stealing your information… what a joke
Absolute worse Cracker Barrel experience we have ever had. Would give zero stars if possible. Served RAW chicken. Bacon, ham and sausage were dry and leathery, Eggs, biscuits and hash browns sup par. Only thing edible were the cinnamon rolls. Will never go back.
This was the worse Cracker barrel experience I’ve ever had. The food was waaay off and one thing about CB it use to be so consistent and the best ever!!! Not today. The French toast was meh - small pieces of bread - my husband thought it was frozen. The salty ham use to be cravable but tastes like it was reheated and tough. My friends biscuits looked hard and stale too. Not fluffy and yummy. And we tried the new cinnamon rolls and of the 8, 6 didn’t have icing. We had to send em back and ask for more icing - took a while to come back so by then, they were rubbery. And lastly the grits! Cold and lumpy. Not hot and creamy. So disappointed I took my out of town guests there!
When we arrived, our waitress was very quick to get us Our drinks and our orders but I had to ask twice for some one to refill my coffee. I even asked the manager for coffee. He has another waitress bring us out coffee but we also needed cream but we had to wait until waitress got done grabbing all her tips off her tables first. Bad place. Manager never came to make sure we were ok or to just apologize. You can tell our food was in the window under the light so long it made my over easy egg over hard. We told the waitress but still no one cared. We did not want free meals. We are elderly and we do not go out much. We were traveling. All we wanted was new food and an apology.
Ordered the Homestyle chicken Anne was brought out chicken tender, Which was no big deal until they tried to pass them off as three miniature chicken breast. Come on Cracker Barrel!
Ordered takeout thru DoorDash. Went to go reheat one of my pancakes and a very long black hair was cooked INTO my pancake.
Google should allow negative stars. Over an hour and a half for lunch. Over 55 minutes to receive our food. The chicken fried chicken and country fried steak were burnt.
