I only give the food 4 stars because they changed the salmon recipe and the new one isn’t as good. I eat fish and my husband eats beef so I was really looking forward to the salmon I fell in love with. Everything else is 10/10. We love coming here to celebrate our anniversary every year ♥️♥️(photos are from last nights dinner)
Outstanding chophouse with a great cocktail menu and the most flavorful Prime Rib Sliders I have ever eaten. The Smoked Old Fashioned was a highlight that unfortunately didn't make it to my review - but again, the best I've ever had. My server Loydia was beyond amazing. The knockout on this menu for me was the Butter Cake, you can't leave without trying it. Just got back into town. My server Darby was a beautiful and accommodating. Can't wait to come back to have Darby take care of me again.
Absolutely exceptional food! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to come here for a special evening. A little on the pricier side, but then again this is not McDonald’s. Wait staff is professional and courteous. Will absolutely be back.
We went to celebrate my husband’s birthday and we had a wonderful experience!! Emily (emma) was our server and she was very informative as it was our first time there. We had the Tomahawk Steak and filet mignon and it was PERFECT! Thank you for a great experience!!! We will definitely be back!!
Super delicious. The steak literally melted like butter! Take a moment to review the menu before you go, familiarizing yourself with what they offer, and treat yourself. Highly recommended.
Third time eating here and excellent as always. Sunday and Monday is Prime Rib night which comes with vegetable and loaded potato… great value. My only complaint is there was no cheese on the “loaded baked potato”. So it wasn’t completely loaded but still good. We also went against the grain ordering roasted chicken instead of more steak which had great flavor and the english pea orzo that came with it was decadent. No dessert for us but the wine pours are generous 👌. Highly recommend!
This place is so classy. The servers are friendly and super attentive. We had the hot rock wagyu and it was phenomenal! And the best creme brulee I've had, not too thick or sweet, just airy and creamy. Such a fun experience.
We had a great anniversary dinner there. Chris was a great server. We had the Chilean sea bass and scallops. Both were excellent. They gave us a Bourbon cake to celebrate our anniversary, which was a pleasant surprise. The cake was delicious, one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant. My only complaint was the noise level; we had to talk very loud in order to hear each other across the booth.
Such a great experience. We had the filet and salmon as our entrees and mashed potatoes with crab for the side dish. All were done perfectly and the service was exceptional. Ask for Hunter if you go, he will take care of you. The old fashioned was great too!
Brittany was our server and she was exceptional! Food and drinks were perfectly timed and everything was very good. The orzo is unreal!
We love this Bourbons and Bones location for its warm and welcoming staff who make us feel right at home. Antonio, in particular, has truly made an impression on us. He not only provides excellent service but also goes the extra mile by remembering the little details, like the conversations we had during our last visit and even noticing when we sit in the same spot. His genuine attention and thoughtfulness make every visit feel personal and special. We also enjoy trying different dishes each time, and every one has been fantastic.
Great atmosphere and even better steak! The vibe was on point, service was excellent, and everything from start to finish hit the mark. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quality dining experience in Gilbert.
We had a fantastic first experience of this establishment. Quite an extensive menu of bourbons and scotch available, reported to be over 700 bottles. Extensive food menu as well. Grilled seafood potters very good. My wife had a ribeye which was tremendous. I recommend and will return
We were treated to this dinner for our birthdays from a very sweet family member. We expected a wonderful meal but we didn't expect this level of deliciousness. We started with the Blue Cheese Stuffed Dates, the perfect combination of savory and sweet. We each had a salad, my husband opting for the house salad while I chose the Tomato Mozzarella, which had an anxiety presentation. My husband had the extremely tender & flavorful Tomahawk steak with bone marrow butter while I had the Bone-in filet with the chimichurri sauce. Our choice of sides were the Brussel sprouts and B&B cheesy potatoes. We finished our meal with the Chocolate Fudge Cake. It was the most special, amazing meal we've had. Our server was attentive and extremely helpful in giving recommendations. We'd definitely recommend this for a special occasion. We have already talked about how we will be saving to go again for our anniversary.
Capitol B for Bourbon ( too many offerings to count), little b for the bones ( Steaks are priced like Ruth Chris but a step below in presentation). However best paper airplane drink ever- kudos to the bartender
Had a great night out at Bourbon & Bones in Gilbert, AZ, last night. It was our servers' first night on the job, and she did a wonderful job. As always, the food was perfect! The pork belly is certainly one of my favorite appetizers, and it did not disappoint last night. The petition filet with a Bleu cheese crust was cooked to a perfect medium rare and accompanied with the sweetest lobster tail! We ended with the delicious butter cake! Highly recommend this chophouse if your in the area!!
My husband and I have been wanting to come here for quite some time but it’s always packed. Last week he took me there right as it opened and we sat at the bar and had a fabulous time! Our bartenders Jose and Jack were truly amazing! The drinks were phenomenal and the food was outstanding! We ordered the tuna tar tar (top 5 I’ve ever had), salmon, mashed potato’s and Brussels sprouts. Super yummy. We are all about experience! And we will definitely be coming back for more. Customer Service is something we both look for when attending all these restaurants we visit. Being that I have 29 years experience in that, it’s something that I take pride in and will brag about, if treated well, wherever we go! Big thanks to Christopher for running an amazing team!
Hands down the best Bar/Restaurant in San Tan Village. I went here for my Anniversary and had an excellent experience. The Grilled Octopus, Wagyu Steak, Chilean Sea Bass, was by far the best food I have ever tasted in Gilbert. The whiskey cocktails were amazing wine and whiskey selection is probably the most extensive I've ever seen in Arizona. The staff was absolutely the most kind and intelligent people I have ever seen in the restaurant industry. Offering excellent pairing and food suggestions. If you are ever unsure ask any staff member. Book a reservation get in today and experience this one of kind place. I promise you will not be disappointed.
From beginning to end, everything about our meal was incredible. I was a bit skeptical of the high prices going in, but now I get it. The service was excellent, always attentive, taking plates as soon as we were finished, refilling water, even serving our sharable sides onto our main entree plates. And the food, wow. Every bite was delicious. Our mixed drinks were so fun and unique. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about every item, including mixed drinks. So impressed with their attention to my gluten free needs. Lots of GF options. She knew it was our anniversary and that I was GF (from my Open Table reservation) and even gave us a complimentary dessert to celebrate. We'll certainly be back.
Stopped in for a refreshment and was amazed at the quality of knowledge and service we received from the bar staff. Ended up staying for appetizers and dessert. All above our expectations. We enjoyed it so much we've got reservations for dinner tonight. Looking forward to another enjoyable experience.
From the moment we arrived at Bourbon & Bones in SanTan Village, the experience was top-tier. We were seated immediately—reservations highly recommended—and the evening only got better from there. Had dinner with friends to celebrate friendship, and everything exceeded expectations. I had the ribeye, one of my clients had the filet, and my girlfriend ordered the ribeye as well. Hands down, the best steak I’ve had in Arizona—cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Our server, Mel, was on point the entire time. Her attentiveness and wine presentation added a polished, professional touch. The vibe was upbeat but relaxed, and every side—from the brussels sprouts to the baked potato—was spot on. And yes, the warm fresh bread is still a win. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great steakhouse in the East Valley.
An absolutely amazing restaurant! Pedro provided great service that was commensurate with the quality of the food. Fantastic selection of bourbon and liquors and wines. The steak was cooked perfectly, the scallops and salmon were also spot on. The grilled octopus is a must try on the appetizer menu.
During our relocation to Arizona for the next 18 months, we serendipitously discovered an exceptional steakhouse. Our initial visit revealed a culinary gem that quickly became our preferred dining destination. This is our second visit within the month, and I must commend Darby for her outstanding service; her expertise in explaining the menu and chef's specials is remarkable. On our first visit, we enjoyed the Delmonico Australian Wagyu steak and a rack of lamb, both impeccably prepared and bursting with flavor. The service was equally exceptional. Our second visit, with Darby and Brannon providing attentive service, featured the Australian Tomahawk, another excellent choice based on Darby's recommendation. Bourbon & Bones is now our favorite restaurant, offering not only superb steaks but also exceptional service and meticulous attention to flavor.
Food was amazing and customer service was great. They have multiple people that assist at each table and are constantly making sure you have everything needed. Prices were high but well worth the experience. Some people have commented that the steak is equal to the Keg House. Totally disagree as we have been there several times. The food here is extremely better quality and options are much more extensive. This is not just your average steak house. If you want to enjoy a special meal I would highly recommend. My lamb chops were cooked perfectly.
I have been to this location several times and the food and service are always Top Tier. We were celebrating my Sister's Birthday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I will say that I prefer to sit in the back booths as it is a little quieter than the front. I always feel like I'm yelling across the table to have conversation when sitting in the front because it is a little loud. But all in all very intimate and the staff always make sure you are happy! Forgot to get a pic of the drinks but the Monsoon Margarita is amazing! Bon Appétit!
If you're looking for a budget meal, this isn't it. But, you will definitely get the value for what you purchase. The service here is absolutely phenomenal. I do not recall our server's name, but she was from Chicago if that helps management identify her. She was accommodating, knowledgeable an extremely professional. In fact, the entire staff worked as a well-oiled machine and made sure that our needs were all met before we could even ask. I had a 10-ounce fillet and it was excellent. My wife had the sea bass and she thought that was also excellent. If you're looking for a special meal and to be treated like royalty, this is an excellent choice for you.
We had a delightful experience at B&B Gilbert. We celebrated our anniversary dinner there. Stephanie took care of us and gave us great suggestions for dinner. Gabe was great and took care of our needs without being there too much, all evening. The food was fantastic. The fried pesto shrimp was awesome and the ribeye was cooked perfectly and was delicious. I recommend the marrow butter as a topper. The way the asparagus was prepared was so good. We will be back to celebrate another special occasion.
Absolute birthday perfection! 🥳 We stopped in for a birthday treat, and I am still thinking about it. The espresso martinis were easily the best I’ve ever had—perfectly balanced and hit the spot. But the real star? The chocolate fudge cake. It was honestly unbelievable! If you have a sweet tooth and love a good cocktail, this is the place to be. Can’t wait to come back!🎂🥳💕
My cousin April came into town and asked what restaurant I recommend, and without hesitation I said Bourbon & Bones. After a two-hour feast, she was beyond impressed—from the incredible food to the outstanding staff. The managers even came by to check that everything was perfect, which really shows the level of care they put into the experience. This is absolutely the place to go for one of the best dining experiences in Gilbert. Highly recommend. Brian
Excellence in all areas!!. Steaks perfectly cooked, a bit crispy on the outside and perfectly tender on the inside. All sides were delicious, and the service was top notch. An all around wonderful experience. Truly, better than many fine establishments in Los Angeles.
When I think steak, this is pretty much what first comes to mind. While there are other locations, this does not fall in line like the other larger upscale steak restaurants (you know who those are). Upscale meets straightforward, dark interiors are lit just enough to put the focus on taste and smell. Menus are straightforward, à la carte with sides that are good for two + and maybe even some leftovers. This place is ideal for celebration, be it a life event or just life. Dress code is what I would call Southwest Casual. Dark jeans or slacks with polo/collars, dresses and blouses would be best. I recommend the bourbon butter cake for sure, it’s delicious.
We went here for a birthday dinner. There were only 2 of us. Our server Katie, was excellent. I had the petit filet Oscar style and it did not disappoint. My son started with a suggested bourbon drink that and the fried calamari, which was fantastic. He also had the bone in ribeye that was flambéed table side, with a lobster tail and that was also exceptional. We had a side of mac and cheese which was also very tasty. For dessert we had their signature butter cake that was devine and the crème brûlée. Pricey, but I knew that going in. Not disappointed.
The hostess was polite and seated us quickly. The facility was about 80% full when we arrived. We started with Bread Pudding Old Fashions, off menu drinks. Excellent, but $3.95 for an ice ball? (Not pictured) Our appetizer was excellent!! Grilled Octopus/ capers | tomato | basil oil | shishito peppers | red onion Blue cheese wedge was very good and they split it for us! Iceberg Wedge iceberg | tomato | bleu cheese crumbles | maple bourbon lardons | shaft's bleu cheese dressing Prime Bone-in Ribeye*, 22 oz was cooked perfectly. Sautéed Mushrooms, good but a little dry. garlic | herbs | butter | soy sauce | balsamic | lemon zest | parmesan They did come by and and offer us our choice of steak knives, which was different for sure. The service was excellent, atmosphere was perfect. We enjoyed our meal.
We love Bourbon and Bones. We got there a little early tonight, so we decided to go to the bar, but it was disappointing that most of the tables were reserved, so it was impossible to get a pre-dinner beverage. We started w the Burrata and chilled crab legs. Both wonderful. Crab was super sweet, but it was a little bit of sticker shock as it was $94 for one crab leg. My husband got the braised short rib, which was different and very good. I got the filet and lobster… the filet was delicious and I’m not sure how to they get all the flavor in there. The poached lobster was overdone and pretty tasteless. I would have sent it back, but my husband was happy to eat it- again, it was super disappointing to see it was $74 for the lobster that wasn’t worth $20. The butter cake is always amazing! My husband loved the apple crumble, but it was not for me. We weren’t up for having ribeye tonight; but that has always been amazing in the past.
This place is definitely a great place to grab some meat! We have a tone of different items and over all they were good. I will say I had the scallops and they were very gritty which was no bueno and I will say some of the sides like the mushrooms were alright but nothing special. However the service was fantastic and the actual meats were delicious.
My fine dining chophouse/steakhouse standards are pretty high since I’ve been fortunate to eat at some amazing steakhouses around the world. Although some of our food was delicious and the steak was cooked perfectly. I rate based off my entire experience. If you’re going to charge fine dining prices, please have that reflect in every aspect of your business. We were seated towards the front in the room next to the bar area. The sliding door was kept open and since we were right by the indoor/outdoor area, flies kept coming in and dampened our experience. I’ve actually never had this happen at a fine dining restaurant before so it really stood out to me. They need to have an area that’s completely enclosed to avoid this and maybe they did, we just weren’t seated in that area. I couldn’t tell when they brought us in if there was seating in the back of the establishment. Imagine eating a $100+ steak and having to swat flies away from your food, it just ruins the ambiance. The mocktails were not drinkable. However, the desserts were delicious and the short rib entree was so flavorful, I would come back just for that. No complaints about service, our server was great! I’ll try some of their other dishes and drinks next time and ask to be seated in a different area and hopefully we’ll have a more enjoyable experience so I can update this review. Also, I didn’t get pictures of all the dishes we ordered but this was a $1000 bill including tip and I just expected more for this price point.
All was great. But fake plastic flowers on tables ruined the beauty of this place patio. For such an expensive place owner should be able to afford live flowers and candles
We have been going here for quite a while. Happy hour is good. Can get some decent bargains. Their steaks are pretty poor. We ordered a bone in ribeye medium rare, they brought it out very rare. Should’ve sent it back. Plus it was too fatty. Definitely not worth the cost. The atmosphere is good and drinks are good but over priced. This place dropped a few notches because of the steak. We might no go back for a while because of this. Kind of amazing how one bad experience can turn you off to a place.
I think for a high end steak house, they should have tablecloths.. Looks a bit like a diner. Our food was good except the lobster mac. It was very fishy tasting. I tied just the mac and cheese without any lobster and it was still fishy tasting. We told the manager and he said he'd take care of it, but didn't take it off the bill. Also we were celebrating a birthday and they couldn't even bring a free dessert. The 4 of us will not be going back.
Made reservations for patio seating because usually a fancy restaurant has a beautiful patio setting area and this was literally outside next to the curb of the street. So I was upset right away as they had no open seats in the restaurant for us to trade into. Took forever to get our food as we are outside alone on the side of the building basically on the curb as tons of people walk by uugghhh horrible experience I will never in my life forget. And to top it off I ordered steak baked potatoe asparagus and daughter had a pound of king crab legs and a lobster tail plus we had a couple cocktails $600 I was Fing FLOORED. No price listed on crab legs but my steak was only $81 so I figured $150 on the high end but $267 for a pound of crabless left me speechless. NEVER AGAIN in my life that was the FIRSTVand LAST time eating here. Absolute WORST experience in my life
We had 4 entrees, 3 appetizers, and about 5 drinks (beers) for the table total. The crab cakes were not great at all. The ceviche was good and the pesto shrimp were okay (I wouldn’t order them again). I had Wagyu which phenomenal. However, my husband had a Prime Ribeye which was okay (we have had better). The other dishes were the salmon & chicken, both of which were super salty to the point our party could not eat them. The salmon was served in a super salty broth. The waitress did ask how everything was & we did provide feedback. However, there was no offer to have the dishes remade. It was just a response of, “thank you for the feedback, I’ll let the chef know”. The manager (I’m guessing that’s who he was, he never introduced himself, but was in a red suit, accompanied her to the table). (The waitress, Brittany was nice about it). We were highly surprised because typically a restaurant that ranks in the level of Dominick’s or Steak 44 failed there. Our bill was a little over $400 & I tipped $75, so a total of just below $500. We eat at these types of restaurants regularly, so we really had high hopes, especially based on the other reviews. I would not ever return.
My first bartender and waiter were fine and then I believe he was cut and we were left with the two remaining bartender (2 men) and during our expeience the steak came out with a cold plate, luke warm, we had to ask for the salts, and bread/butter when we did we got an eye roll and a half-butt sob sorry. The spinich was luke warm and it just was not what I expect from a $300 meal. What really had me shocked was 2 additional things. 1. The staff was cleaning up for the night already at 8:30pm behind the bar while patrons were still in the bar. 2. I ordered a drink and instead of replacing my sphere of ice and a new clean glass, he brought the bottle over, measured the drink and just poured it in my existing glass with my previous drink! Lastly, we used to come to your restaurant for the "Ghost Pepper Butter" and know many others who did the same and for that to be taken off the menu was a huge disappointment that should really be reconsidered. Rather than leaving a bad review, I tried to reach out to management and they didn't even care enough to honor it with a response. I will reconsider going back due to this experience as this is now twice we have been to this location for a sub-par experience. When people are spending 3-400 on a meal, we expect more otherwise I just make the drive to Steak 44 where I will never have a bad experience. Not trying to compare, just noting comparable priced meals vs. quality. Definately I would recommend thinking twice before going again.
For a fine dining restaurant, if you make a reservation for a time, do whatever it takes when the customer shows up at that time to seat them. Especially when there was tables available. System being “down” isn’t an excuse. Food was ok, imo way overpriced especially when the waitress says they are good sized portions. Not true. Then taking an exceptional amount of time to cook a steak( that was under cooked) was another head scratcher as well. The servers were really on top of everything and provided good service throughout our dinner. The complementary dessert was really the highlight of our meal. The à la cart menu concept is actually pretty stupid as well since most of the side items are 1/2-3/4 the price of the entree items. I’ve been to other fine dining restaurants and have had much better experiences than this place. Would I go back, if I drank alcohol yes, as the alcohol/wine menu was 4x the size of the food menu. Should’ve recognized that with the name of the place.
My date and I were excited for a nice evening out and a great meal. Much has been said about B&B, so my expectations were justifiably high. The staff and waiter were excellent. Things went downhill quickly after the first drink arrived. The first drink, an Amorist Paloma, was undrinkable. The replacement - a regular Paloma was not much better. Dinner continued the downward spiral. The oysters were bland and the ocotpus was unremarkable. The steaks weren't bad, but they certainly weren't up to expectations. My dates' roasted bone marrow was undercooked at the top, and so dry at the lower half that a knife barely penetrated it. I don't give this rating purely to be a complainer, but rather to simply share our experience. As I said, the staff and especially our waiter were fantastic. I am just thoroughly disappointed with the meal and drinks.
My first time ever coming here. I was unaware of the extent of the dress code. The staff did not greet me at the door, but rather immediately informed me that my jersey was out of dress code. They had no idea if I was dropping a gift off or if I was actually dinning in. I was asked to the leave the restaurant and go change or go out and buy a polo or button down shirt in order to eat here. When I returned I sat down and the service was extremely slow. The only good thing about my whole experience was that the glass of wine that was recommended was really good. I walked out paying $100+ for my meal and only recieved three items the whole night. The Salmon dish was overly buttery and lost its flavor to that. All in all I would say you are over paying for a sub par meal and experience. There are far friendlier and better chop houses out there than this one.
I would not recommend Bourbon and Bones. We were visiting from out of state and chose this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, but the experience was disappointing from the start. Our server seemed uninterested in helping us and didn’t explain that the salads and sides were meant to be shared. We weren’t told the specials until after we had already looked at the menu for about 20 minutes. Drinks took 30 minutes to arrive, and our water was never refilled. The atmosphere also wasn’t what we expected—dark, noisy, and not at all business casual as advertised. What was supposed to be a romantic anniversary dinner turned into an expensive mistake. Unfortunately, we left feeling frustrated instead of celebrated.
I took my wife to Bourbon & Bones for a special date night which is something we don’t get to do very often. I chose B&B because it appeared to be a higher end dining experience. Oh boy, was I wrong. The poorly prepared and severely undercooked food we received literally made me sick. In this review, I will outline our entire experience, both the good and the bad of it. I made a reservation for a Friday evening and requested a booth. When we arrived at B&B, the hostess was friendly and immediately seated us in a booth without having to wait. Our booth was big enough to accommodate four people, so it was nice having so much room for the two of us. The restaurant was VERY loud, louder than most others I’ve ever visited. This was because there were so many people crammed into a small building. Our waitress came by a few moments later to take our drink and appetizer order. Our crab cakes appetizer came out quickly and were tasty. So far, everything is wonderful. My wife ordered the broiled chicken with a baked potato and I ordered a medium rare 14oz NY Strip with a side of fries. I also asked for a bottle of A1 to come out with our food but out waitress told me that they don’t have A1 (seriously?!?). She recommended that I get their “house steak sauce” and said it’s very similar to A1 so I said that was ok. This is where things start to go south. About 10 minutes later, the manager comes to our table with a menu. He explains that their baked potatoes are “rock hard” and asks my wife to choose a different side. Out food eventually came out. My wife’s broiled chicken was good. My steak however, well, it was clearly prepared by someone who doesn’t know how to cook steak. I dipped a piece of it in their “house steak sauce” and was absolutely disgusted. Medium rare is 135 degrees in the center of the steak. Mine was so undercooked that the center was cold. Seriously, it's not hard to cook a steak so how did B&B get it so wrong? Furthermore, the “house steak sauce” was nothing like A1 as the waitress claimed. I don’t know what it was made from, but it was gross. My fries were not fresh either. They were luke-warm and soggy like they had spent the evening sitting under a heating lamp. I sent my steak back to get cooked some more. When it eventually came back cooked to a more acceptable level, I ate some more of it. The meat was pretty dry and lacked flavor. Since their “house steak sauce” was so gross, I ate my $64 steak with ketchup so I could at least have some kind of flavor. My $14 French fries sucked just as much. To add insult to injury, the “house steak sauce” was delivered in a tiny dish which can be seen in the attached photo. It wouldn’t have even been enough to finish the steak. I was charged $4 per side of sauce. Charging someone for side sauce is ridiculous to begin with, but overcharging THAT much is just flat out unacceptable. I wound up eating less than half of my dinner and our special date night was essentially ruined. But wait, there’s more! A few minutes after leaving B&B I became ill. My stomach began to hurt. It felt like I had been punched in the gut. I continued to get more and more ill. By the time we made it home, I had to run to the bathroom where I spent the next 3 hours on the toilet. The raw meat that I bit into made me very sick. I’m writing this review 18 hours after my visit to B&B, and I’m STILL sick. The staff was very friendly through everything which was nice, but the careless and dangerously prepared food ruined the experience and ruined a date night that I was looking forward to. I strongly encourage that anybody reading this find another restaurant to visit.
We’ve dined at multiple Bourbon & Bones locations throughout the Valley over the years, and unfortunately, this was by far our worst experience. We visited on Valentine’s Day after booking our reservation two months in advance. Our server was attentive and did a good job, so no complaints there. However, the kitchen completely missed the mark — especially for a steakhouse. Typically, when ordering steak at Bourbon & Bones, it’s served on a piping hot plate (around 500°), allowing a medium or medium-rare steak to gently continue cooking to the perfect temperature. That signature experience simply did not happen this time. The plate was not hot, and my steak was undercooked. Without the properly heated plate, there was no way for it to finish to temperature as expected. The mac & cheese was also disappointing — cheesy, yes, but stiff and overly firm. “Cheesy” and “stiff as a board” should never go together. The truffle fries were okay, but nothing memorable. Valentine’s Day is a special occasion, and after planning this reservation well in advance, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. Based on this visit, we will not be returning to Bourbon & Bones.
A $400 tab that should have been $40. We were so incredibly disappointed. Hubby and I were visiting from out of town and my parents watched our son so we could go on a relaxing date night— it was far from relaxing. My cocktail tasted like straight liquor and nothing else, my husband’s wine tasted slightly old like it had previously been opened, the table was set very sloppy, my husband’s water was filled maybe once, the food was okay but a $20 up charge for 2 small pieces of shrimp?!?! The mushrooms and onions were also severely under done which is a basic thing that should be perfect at a price like that. My husband works in the industry (a saute chef) so he didn’t want me to say anything but we both left very disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone unfortunately.
Very disappointing experience at Bourbon & Bones. Our server was rude, sarcastic, and made us feel rushed the entire evening. She even mentioned she had been there since 11 AM, clearly implying we were holding her up, and asked what was “confusing” about the menu when we were still deciding. To make matters worse, both steaks were cooked incorrectly — I ordered medium and received a blue steak, while my friend ordered well done and received a medium-well steak. Despite this being an expensive dinner ($360), we were rushed through payment while still waiting on leftovers to be boxed and finishing drinks. We asked to speak with a manager, who listened briefly, said “one second,” walked away, and never returned. The lack of professionalism and follow-up completely ruined what should have been a special evening.
