Opinions de Ralph and Finns Glasgow
Outstanding evening at Ralph and Finns looked after by the exceptional Molly. We were overwhelmed by Molly's attention to detail and personal service, the festive ambience, and our overall high quality experience. Just engaged - Molly and Ralph & Finns made this an evening to remember for my new fiancé, my brother snd sister-and-law and me. We travelled from Edinburgh and there is no question we will be back. Please see the lovely Molly in our photo!
Easy to book, staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the meny and cocktail lists, We were there on a Sunday so both of us had the Sunday roast options. Portions were generous and everything was cooked to perfection. We had not anticipated eating everything on the plate but it was all delicious. Highly recommend this eatery , you will not be disappointed
Visiting from the US and only had one afternoon to enjoy some food in Glasgow and I randomly chose here. I’m very glad I did, amazing service and delicious food. I sat at the bar and inquired about some of the best options to try, the bartender wasn’t too sure about one of them, so instead of just pacifying me with a generalized comment, he went around asked all of the staff until he found some that had it before- first time I’ve ever seen that. The food was delicious also, would highly recommend to fellow travelers.
Fantastic night out. Food delicious. Great atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff especially Aga and Carol for whom nothing was a bother. Would definitely visit again and highly recommend if you want a place to eat, drink and be merry.
We had a great dinner here lately. Everyone enjoyed the steak fries. One of the best French Martinis I have ever had.
It's been on our list to try... and we really enjoyed it. We ate using the 5pm market menu (2 courses for £18). I had the cauliflower cheese and my partner had the chicken Kiev. For dessert we had sticky toffee pudding and creme brulee. Everything was really good and the service was great to be honest. Friendly, welcoming staff.
I adore R&F! I go every couple of months with my good friend. The food wine are delicious. Never had a bad experience. I just adore the debit and ambience. Always a great vibe. The staff are always wonderful too. Never more so than on Thursday when the wonderful Supervisor Sophie was our server. She looked after us so well! Thankyou 🥰 We did notice however that some of the usual R&F wonderful sides were now disappointedly off the menu, ie the amazing beetroot and feta, and the to die for broccoli. Which left only one veg, (although this phenomenal cabbage side was soooo delicious it must have been cooked by the devil himself!), three potato and two salad options as sides. We both had steak, and when you have steak it comes with fries so we really needed more veg/choice on the sides menu please! 😊 Also, the steak choices are also now fewer on the menu, with the fillet remaining and a new entry of a flat iron. No sirloin or ribeye. However the flat iron was perfect! Totally delicious and cooked to perfection! Wonderful value. I actually would now choose the pink flat iron over the sirloin and rib-eye it was that good! 🤩 Will be back VERY soon. In fact I purchased one of the fabulous offer vouchers last night. My fav restaurant in town hands down!💚
Had a fantastic family reunion dinner at Ralph & Finns last night which was our second visit since 2019, and it’s even better. The trendy interiors and grand windows remind me of Sydney’s best spots. Loved the beetroot salad, deep sea perch, and crème brûlée. Great drinks (non-alcoholic gin and tonic for me!) and super friendly staff. A must-visit upscale spot in Glasgow.
What a truly beautiful glittery mirrored and festive Christmas tree filled space! It’s amazing here, from the minute you walk in everything is beautiful and pristine. I wanted a decent hot meal after a busy day training so the Roasted Crown of Turkey got the spot. It was perfect. Especially the duck fat roasties! Naomie who is one the servers was especially brilliant. Witty, sharp and totally refreshing, she brought a great and very welcome level of service. This place is brilliant.
Was visiting Glasgow for a work meeting and came to Ralph & Finn's for dinner with a colleague. Absolutely gorgeous surroundings, which made it feel quite classy. First of all, the service was fantastic, everyone we spoke to was attentive and accommodating. And the food was fabulous. I will definitely be booking again if we have another Glasgow meeting, and recommending to everyone!
We loved our late night dinner at this restaurant. The food was high quality and well presented. The cocktail menu was wonderful. Our waiter Shona was so helpful and gave us great recommendations. The inside is nicely decorated and makes for a great photo opportunity.
Ultimate in everything, very lovely staff, Sofia is very nice waitress with excellent freindly service, tasty food, best steak, best Peper sauce ever.
Gorgeous contemporary bar and restaurant. Great atmosphere. Food and service was faultless considering how busy the staff were. French Martinis were the best I've had in Glasgow. I can't wait to visit again x
The beetroot soup was the best thing I have ever tasted, the waiters were very welcoming and king a lot of choices and sides. Situated in the middle of Glasgow near a lot of shops and train station . Great ambience and not too busy and loud it was great overall
I booked on Valentine’s Day so we had a set menu for 55£ that was a good value we had as starter scallops that was amazing and then we took the côte de bouef that was tender and juicy (it was an upgrade for only 15£ extra and you could choose two sauces and two sides for free) and for dessert we had the crème brûlée … everything was amazing except the service was a bit unsociable but I would def recommend it
This place is excellent. We had a fabulous waitress. The food was great and the atmosphere perfect. A very pleasant surprise in Glasgow.
The A la Carte menu has many choices, the service is amazing, and all the staff is very kind ans attentive. The food was very tasty and beatyfully presented.
Previously known as Urban Bar & Grill, Ralph & Finns exudes the same quality with a revamped interior. The service is fast/efficient and the food is good. We had a table of six and no complaints. Alan Tomkins is a professional restaurateur with success after success. Well located in the city centre. I so enjoyed the food I 4got my pics.
An excellent early evening meal. Quiet due to the fact that it was only 6pm on a Wednesday but the food and service were impeccable. Highly recommend 👌
I visited on Saturday as part of a group of 10. We all had a fantastic time. The food was all super tasty and we felt we were able to relax and enjoy as much time in the restaurant as needed without feeling rushed out. The staff were all very friendly.
Had a delightful meal, it was my last dinner in Glasgow. And boy, what a finale! The servers and maitre d’ were attentive and considerate. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. The drink selection was expansive. Varied seating options, from luxurious booths to bar seats and cocktail rounds.
Fantastic place, most delicious food iv honestly ever had. The staff where super especially Reka, she was so attentive and gave us some great recommendations for breakfast. The atmosphere in the place was so warm and beautiful and the dressing that comes with the scotch egg, let's just say I would come back just for that.
Met up with work colleagues for a retirement lunch and couldn't fault anything. It was a hot day but the restaurant was cool and airy. The staff were very attentive. Once we ordered the food it was very quick to come out and all of our meals came out together which was perfect. All of us agreed that the food was delicious. The staff set aside the whisky bar for us as there were others invited to join us for drinks and they looked after us well. Would heartily recommend Ralph and Finns.
Amazing evening, central location fabulous food. Fillet Steaks cooked to perfection, creme brulle all washed down with a lovely bottle of Rjoca
Went in for a drink with a friend. Staff were nice and so was the drink. I've never been for food so can't comment on this front
We went for drinks early evening, great atmosphere and very friendly, helpful staff. Visited twice during a weekend away in Glasgow. Would highly recommend.
Prawn cocktail, absolutely awful. Prawns more like shrimps, very little sauce and even less flavour. M&S do a better job as part of their meal deal and R&F are charging £14.50 for this?! Avoid this starter until they sort this out. In hindsight I should have sent it back. But here’s the conundrum. The fillet steak? Sublime. Well seasoned, rested and cooked to perfection. Avoid the prawn cocktail and enjoy the steak. The staff were great, friendly and attentive without being intrusive but consistency is essential in hospitality. You can be a loyal customer one minute but after one or two bum meals they’re headed for the door never to return.
Ate at Ralph and finns last night, the atmosphere was lovely, music was nice and food was delicious… however the portions size for the chateaubriand (£70) was 6 slices of beef, with 2 carrots and 3 pieces of broccoli, not worth the price at all. we got an entree, starter each and the main to share and yet still ordered dessert somewhere else as it just wasn’t enough. Service was poor, didn’t get a single check back and didn’t actually see a server for the majority of the meal, yet other tables seemed to be getting service, could be due to the fact we’re English. It’s a shame as it is lovely and i would recommend going but the service and portion sizes just brought down the experience. As much as the bar was busy it felt as though we were put to the side and not considered in the evening. We still payed service charge, as regrettable as that is, for the kitchen to earn what they deserve. As much as it did seem a fine dining place, the whole atmosphere wasn’t matching that which is confusing due to lack of food on plates. The beef tartare was extremely horseradishy and taste not to dissimilar to beans on toast, wouldn’t recommend that starter.
My partner and I decided to dine here for valentines day.we opted for the valentines set menu, which was reasonably priced at £50 per head. The starter of the scallops was amazing!Steak was a tad underdone for what we asked (med rare), and we had to send it back. It came back out promptly, and we enjoyed the rest of our meal. This place gives off Ivy vibes, very much the same in decor and dishes 8/10 Would definitely come back
Lovely restaurant, welcoming staff and nice layout. Great if you want a few drinks or if it’s a nice evening dinner date. I was visiting Glasgow with work and was looking for a nice place to go for dinner. The staff were super welcoming and were checking up on us just the right amount of time. We had ice on our desk for drinks and our amazing waiter Harris would come and change it if melted, asked if we were okay with food etc. The menus is lovely and the price is not bad. Great value for money. The only thing that could be improved is the cleanliness of the lavatory. I would recommend this lovely restaurant to anyone who’s looking for a calm, smart/casual evening.
We went with friends at the weekend. Place looks pretty with the decorations up etc, but it wasn't full by any stretch. Had the Christmas menu which was £55. Soup tasted nice, in fact it all tasted ok but the portions were a joke. 3 sprouts and one piece of carrot is taking the mick in my opinion. Shame, because we've been couple of times before and loved it. I'll leave it a while before we go again.
We've visited before and were very impressed by the food. We visited around a week ago and feel it wasn't very good - we essentially left an entire mozzarella salad, as it was as if the mozzarella wasn't drained and the salad was swimming in the areas where the mozzarella sat - we don't complain but surprising no one asked when the entire plate was left uneaten. The service was very good from the lady who greets and seats. But I'd likely simply go elsewhere in future. Rating covers both visits for fairness. I'd have given it 5* for food before and 3* for recent visit.
Done the itison voucher. 3 courses and a cocktail for £50 for 2 - very good deal and food was lovely! Service slow hence the 4 stars but staff were lovely.
The food was very good. Not too busy on a Tuesday, good atmosphere; Our waitress seemed to be going through the motions rather than happy to be there. I would visit again.
Tried the market menu in here (£18 for two courses) and really enjoyed it. Great setting in an old Glasgow building with a very relaxed atmosphere. The Chicken Kyiv was delicious and my wife's cauliflower dish equally so. Can't quite put my finger on what I wasn't keen on with the creme brulee but enjoyed the shortbread and it wouldn't put me off returning! Impressed with what was on offer for the price so would recommend it for a nice meal out.
Used First table for 50% off food off alacarte menu. Food was really good. Staff were attentive. Reasonable atmosphere for a 3pm meal
Came in for our booking to a completely empty restaurant and while staff members were looking our way, it took 5 minutes of us standing at the door for the hostess to show up and take us to our table. Pretty sure we were sat in the bar area, despite booking for dinner and mentioning a special occasion, which gave the whole experience a very casual pub vibe, contrasting with what we were going for and why we booked this restaurant in particular. Food was somewhat enjoyable, but the portion size and overall quality were below par for the price point. While the haggis bon bons and the foccacia were great, 4 slices in a portion is certainly a choice. Flat-iron steak was okay, burger was greasy, small and boring. Bottle of champagne served with a paper napkin and never topped up, despite the formal setting at a high-end restaurant. Servers were friendly, but not attentive. The only positive was acknowledging my partner's birthday and offering a complimentary dessert, although once again, one would expect more from a place like that.
Sadly even though the food was gourmet food I wasnt a huge fan! The Oysters were raw (I didn't realise this so my fault for ordering) and as I didnt eat steak wasnt hugely impressed by the menu! Well decorated for christmas though.
Food was more reasonable due to an offer on Itison. Would have hated to pay full price. If you choose fish cakes from starters dont expect cakes. You will receive two bon bons which did teste reasonable. You will also pay £6 for 6 olives so £ 1 each. Drinks are also expensive. £10.50 for a glass of orange wine and £9.50 for a glass of red.
Went here with about 7 colleagues. To be fair we're hadn't booked so we just sat and stood next to the bar. Must have been told 4 or 5 times that we were blocking the path and we shouldn't really be standing. Ok, they have their rules but we were only there for half an hour, well behaved and well dressed, actually out for a corporate dinner with our boss from London. Didn't leave a good impression of the Glasgow welcome.
Sorry to say that this wasn't our best experience. We have been regulars here for many years and have always looked forward to our Christmas lunch however this year was a big disappointment. Starters were acceptable however the main course was very poor. The sprouts were raw, the dark turkey meat was tough and the whole meal lacked flavour and seasoning. The sea bass was served on a slop of fregola! The desserts were acceptable. However to compound things, the price that was charged for the Prosecco that was ordered was incorrect. Defo not somewhere that we will return to!!!!!
Came here for lunch as a party of 3 One of our party ordered from the set menu Myself and another person in the party ordered from the main menu The other party members had the parfait for starter which they both liked Myself I ordered the scallops unfortunately my scallops were over cooked I went with a safe option being the Camembert which was nice However none of us enjoyed the mains one being beef ragu from the set menu Again myself and another party member ordered from the main menu one being the double cheeseburger which was overcooked and again myself I had the lamb rolled shoulder which was tough The staff were friendly and eager to resolve our issues Sadly I do believe in first impressions and won’t be back
