The ribs were to die for!! The coyote balls were amazing! Lily did a great job... knows the menu, great recommendations, personality that'll bring a smile to your face. All around two thumbs up and we'll be back.
Good burgers but the fries are the best. A little upset last time we went cause they took our favorite nacho fries off the menu but the green chili queso was really good too.
Amazing place! We chilled at a picnic table under some huge trees while waiting for out table. The proportions are generous. You cant barely tell the difference between before we ate and after lol we got the pig out for 2 people and shared a chips/salsa/queso app with our group. House margaritas were great!
Lilly is an awesome and amazing server!! wonderful service, and incredibly friendly! 10/10 recommend the bbq! it was amazing!
Great experience. Loved the atmosphere. Live singer tonight was amazing. Had a frozen margarita and long island iced tea. Order fried pickles and onion rings for apps. Delicious. The fried shrimp was very good! Had the brisket tacos as well. All the portions were VERY generous! Great staff as well. Definitely a place you have to try.
Service was great and timely even though it was busy with the lunch crowd. Liked the vibe, wasn't loud. The food is worth it.
We heard about this place via the friend chain. I will say what a good friend because this is definitely a MUST if you are within 20-30 miles of Glen Rose, TX. This is someplace you will have to look for it sits about 3/4 of a mile north of state highway 67 approximatley 6 miles west of Glen Rose. The place sits back in a rural area looks like run down barn with cedar shavings for a floor and little white Christmas lights on inside for lighting. This is not a place for business casual. Shorts, jeans boots, flip flops or any combination there of and you will do fine. The staff is very friendly and quick to keep your sweet tea(mason jar) filled or get you another cold draft of Shiner. Loco Coyote is probably more for the person/s wanting to sit outside they have a HUGE outside bar & sitting area tables and chairs a plenty even beyond the bar area under the trees and yes staff will take your order and keep you beer filled. Sitting inside is small but doable they have a/c but when we came it was struggling to keep the inside cool on very hot August afternoon. We probably would have been better sitting out under one of the trees but then we would not have met Rhonda, a local who gave us the 411 to try the "coyote balls" if you like them large, cheese, spicy, with bacon and hashbrowns then yep better order 4 coyote gave up their manhood for each order so enjoy (no coyote actually harmed). Now on to the real food, I ordered the 2 meat plate with ribs & sliced beef not knowing they were going to be 3 brontasauris ribs & 4 large slices of tender pull apart with your fork brisket. This came with 2 large sides and really good and buttery Texas toast. The meats come out dry but you have your own container of Loco Coyote bar-b-que sauce for dipping (dainty don't want to get messy) or pour it all over and look like a caveman. One of the other guys ordered the 3 piece catfish lets just say I want to see the catfish these fillets came from. All in all I could write forever on this place but go experience for yourself. Well worth the trip. If your camping at Dinosaur Valley SP it is only hop, skip and down around a few turns...yes it is family friendly till probably after dark. Enjoy!
This is a phenomenal experience! There is no where else that you would even consider waiting 2 hours for a table, but this place is so worth it! We enjoyed meeting new people as we sat out on the lawn sipping a few drinks and listening to the live music until our table was ready. The food was absolutely delicious and we left full and satisfied! Already looking forward to our next visit!
This place is so much fun and laid back. Call the wait staff is super nice. We got to experience the brisket chili. It was absolutely AMAZING! The catfish was delicious as was the mustard potato salad and coleslaw.
I go to Glen Rose every year in October for a golf tournament along with a lot of friends. We "always" make the Loco Coyote on Friday night and it's definitely becoming a ritual. The food is excellent and the country atmosphere is off the charts. Plus after a hot day on the course it's nice to get that ice cold draft Dos Equis. Prices were up this year but what hasn't.
Great little out of the way place. Great food and some HUGE portions! Anyone that says they are hungry leaving there is fibbing! Geez! Haven't tried coyote balls before but they were good! I had a chicken poboy and my wife had a burger with no bun. Our table ordered a Jack Daniel's burger, catfish poboy, couple of Aussie burgers coyote balls, chili cheese fries and a few other plates, everything was awesome! Highly recommend checking it out if you are in this neck of the woods!
Visiting from out of town, Loco Coyote seemed like a popular laid back restaurant in the country we would enjoy. And I was right! Didn't mind the 1 1/2 hour wait on a Saturday evening. Sitting under the shade trees, with a light Texas breeze and a Revolver Bood & Honey beer in my hands, listening to good live music, and it was all good. From the hostess, bar staff, and our waitress, the employees here are top notch and appear to truly love their job. Started with the Coyote Balls (if you order nothing else on the menu, get these!) and small onion rings (quantity was nothing short of XL). Entrees continued the large portion size and we all enjoyed our Chicken Fried Steak (3 meals in one), Jack Daniel's burger (more of those tasty onion rings), and Aussie burger. Entire experience was memorable and we look forward to returning when we visit Glen Rose again.
We had a great meeting up with some friends! The new owners are great people and clearly have a passion to make this place better than it’s ever been. Food was outstanding and portion sizes are very generous. I had the chicken fried steak and it was delicious! For us it was worth the drive from Arlington and we can’t wait to come back. If you’re passing through don’t hesitate to stop by on the weekend for a bite, drink, or even to check out their little general store.
Our server Chloe was great and went out of her way to make smaller portions for me. Sliced Brisket was tender and juicy with tons of flavor. My daughter said the pulled pork sandwich was just too big (she is 13). Point is be sure to not be embarrassed to split each entrée. Super nice people over all and fun atmosphere. When we got there around 20 cars 4:13pm cst. By time we left over 100 bikes and vehicles and still more incoming.
Great service, fantastic food (and LOTS of it!), in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. One of the best and largest chicken-fried steaks I've ever had. My wife ordered the steak and shrimp special and loved every bite. Even the house salads were huge. Any time I'm in Glen Rose, I'll stop here! You should to if you like big helpings of delicious comfort food.
Finally made it to THE LOCO COYOTE GRILL! It was worth the 2hr drive for sure! I Will definitely come back to try more yummy food! The Pig Out for 2 was so delicious! Such a super generous serving for two! Also tried the two new items on the menu …. Grilled Chicken (Chicken Inasal) and the Pork BBQ skewers! Sis Eva Eltanal Ferguson, Pilar, Larry, and all the staff were so all kind and welcoming! Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart! Everything was so delicious and made with sooo much love! You will not be disappointed and come hungry! The servings are huge! Please come open one up in Dallas 🥰. The BunBun team and friends are definitely coming back! Cannot wait! Get ready for us!
Huge portions of Amazing food!!! We had catfish, chicken, chicken fried steak, a burger, onion rings, fries, fried pickels, brisket, and sausage. Definitely will be back! We have a big family and the person who took our order was kind and did excellent. Everything taste fresh and home made. Bellies are all full and so are the to go boxes. Best food Ever for the value!!!
The food is great and plentiful. I had a hamburger and fries. The wait staff are very friendly and helpful. The establishment has very interesting decorations. There is plenty of parking and lots of outdoor seating available. Definitely a place I will return to. If you are traveling in the area please stop by and check it out.
Another one of those places that you wouldn't know was there unless you search!!! Really great food, friendly people, great ambience. Everything in the menu is fabulous and the portions are way big!!! Fried Catfish/big filets, Chicken Fried Steak the size of your plate, Huge burgers, get the Jack Daniel Burger! Appetizer's are good, check out the Coyote Balls and Onion Rings! Even the Chips and Dip are really good! Usually have live entertainment. Great wait staff! Thanks John Daniel! Right outside the west end of Glen Rose off Hwy 67 and right on 1004.
This is a fantastic grill nearly in the middle of nowhere. The food was great and came in extremely large portions. The fries were a bit stale which was disappointing but the rest was great including the BBQ. It has a lot of character and a little general store attached. If you're in the area it's a must stop for a great meal and good service.
Amazing food! Amazing hospitality, atmosphere, and drinks. Had the coyote balls, absolutely delicious!!! Brisket nachos are to die for. Others at my table had some tacos, shrimp and chicken fried steak... huge portions and cheap prices!! Was about a 45 min wait to get seated (5:30 on a Saturday) but so worth it!!
I couldn't believe this place, way out in the middle of nowhere, could be as good as everyone says! But I was happily proved wrong! We went on a Friday evening and there was live music and plenty of patrons. There was a short wait for a table, but there's lots of beautiful country scenery to enjoy outside. Lots of available parking, too. The food did NOT disappoint! I got the Jack BBQ burger with hamburger patty, brisket, fried pickles and onion rings, and Jack Daniel's BBQ sauce. It was HUGE and delicious!! The chicken fried steak was out of this world. Tender, gigantic, flavorful... 10/10! Margaritas were good too. Ambiance inside is fun and eclectic. Kids played out back at the basketball court and enjoyed the fresh air while we waited for our food, which was a considerable wait BUT 100% worth it and understandable when you see and taste the food. Highly recommend to make the drive out and be surprised!
This is one of my favorite places to stop and eat at. The food here is so so wonderful. The barbecue is some of the best I ever had and the burgers are so big and juicy and made for an experience that you will want to come back for more. I like that this place is tucked away from the town since the atmosphere is better to be surrounded by nature and bikers that want to just have a great time of food and fellowship. I have never had a bad experience here.
Happen to just stumble on this gem. Food service is quick. Lots of food for a great price. Delicious food. Has a home feel actually. Love the huge tea Mason jars they give.
Loved everything about this bbq place. A hole in the wall for sure. We had a large onion appetizer and when I say large, I mean ginormous. Enough to appease at least 8-10 people. The ribs were very meaty, with a delicious glaze on top. The coleslaw was good and the cheesy corn was okay. It took a little while to get the food but it was certainly worth the wait. The server was sweet and the atmosphere had a great Texas vibe We will for sure come back again.
This amazing gem in the middle of TX….. fantastic food and great vibe. You can easily make friends while drinking and eating. Great service - very very nice and friendly - fantastic food at a total affordable price. If you are around …. You must stop here. No reservations…. You may need to wait a lot …. But it is totally worth and nature and sunset are stunning.
It was our first time at the LOCO COYOTE. We ordered smoked chicken which was excellent and ended ordering sliced brisket and sausage to go. Our waitress Lilly was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Awesome Experience -Thank you!!
The food is massive. The kids burger is 8oz by itself. The small burger is 12oz & the large burger was 18oz. The cheesy corn & salsa was missing something flavor wise. It was missing a kick.. kinda bland for my taste. The brisket nachos & brisket taco were delicious. I enjoyed the coleslaw very much. The wait staff was really friendly & the atmosphere was inviting. I definitely will be back.
Absolutely the best and largest cheeseburger and largest order of onion rings I have ever had. The food was incredible and probably the best I have ever had. The only problem was I ate way way too much and felt bad for 2 days. Not because the food was bad. It was so good I couldn't stop eating.
I came from about 100 miles away to check it out and it was worth it. The food comes out fast and they serve big portions. They have an indoor air conditioned seating area then an outside area to eat as well as a separate bar. The process are very fair and reasonable. Update: made the 2 hour trip again and it was pretty crowded. About an hour wait, which is fine. I ordered this Aussie burger with fried that both sounded and looked amazing. Unfortunately, the chili and the French fries were both very salty so I could only eat so much of it. I still love the place but seriously...lighten up on the salt
I stumbled upon this place just rolling around Google Maps before we took the kids to Dinosaur Valley State Park. We almost had plans to go somewhere else and I am so glad we did not deviate. This place is a certified gem. Rough on the outside and tender and delicious on the inside just like the best catfish I have ever had. I grew up on my uncles catfish dinners and let me tell you the nostalgia of my youth got me drunker than the margaritas. The chicken fried steak with gravy made from the gods was just another home run of a meal. Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, and amazing people make this place one of my best discoveries. We are already making up excuses as a family to go back. Well done Loco Coyote.
Great atmosphere! I do believe this restaurant is a destination place to eat. Located In Glen Rose, Texas. The food here is absolutely amazing and portions are ginormous. Caters to families and groups. Live music on weekends. I reccomend the PIG OUT. You get a sampling of their best brisket, ribs, chicken, sausage, and my favorite the catfish! All piled on a bed of fries, Texas toast, and sides of your choice. And they do have the best egg rolls you will ever have. They are hand rolled daily. Yum!!
We came for dinner and had a Wonderful time! Dinner was Delicious and prompt, and more than we could eat. We came with 2 toddlers 🫣 and the atmosphere was perfect for them. Great experience all way around!! ❤️
Food here is very good, however I got the loco bowl for first time it has brisket and sausage and beans. Bowl is twenty dollars and honestly not worth it, as you can see one sausage and little brisket the rest beans, plus beans had burnt taste to them ,you're better off ordering anything else off the menu. The coyote balls are amazing as always.
We had a family group of 8. Ages from 70s to toddler. Lilly was an absolutely amazing server. She was able to recommend the perfect dish for me when I was conflicted between two different dishes. My briskett tacos were awesome! Hubby, daughter, and grandson had chicken fried steak and they really enjoyed it! Our sons had the loco coyote bowl (Yum!!) And fried catfish. Both loved it. Granddaughters has grilled cheese and chicken tenders. The entire family can't wait to go back!! Thank you, Lilly!!!!
Bring your appetite! The portions are big. I was shocked at how much food they served me. I ordered the chicken tenders gravy and texas toast with frys and pinto beans for my two sides. Usually, ( at other places ) chicken tenders are 4-6 small pieces... not here! There were 8 large chicken tenders with a huge cup of gravy and frys that filled up the rest of my plate, the beans came in a separate cup on the side. Very flavorful, crispy and hot. Our server was attentive and on top of things and very pleasant. I had never been here before, but I'll definitely be back... my bill was under $20 and I took enough food home for 2 more meals. I cant wait to try more on the menu. 5 🌟 and highly recommend.
We had a very large party for a birthday. The place is really cool and definitely adapt for large gatherings. Our server Josie was great at handling our large group and table full of loud kids. I rated the food 3 stars because nothing tasted bad but it wasn’t exceptional either. The onion rings were $19 but they were huge and tasted really good. The coyote balls tasted like a ball of fried hashbrowns and I didn’t feel like they were worth the hype. The Elote bites also just tasted like another fried ball. The loaded brisket potato was $15 and it was filling but only had 4 small slices of brisket on top. The meat itself was kind of dry and bland. The bbq sauce was delicious. The 1 meat plate with 2 sides was $15 and was large and filling. The toast was great, the gravy was ehh. We also had a kids chicken tenders with fries for $10 and the chicken was homemade and good. The sweet tea was good. All in all for this size of group it was a good experience. We would like to come back and give the food another shot when it’s just the two of us and maybe try some other options.

Food was great, and my steak was cooked to perfection. The service was incredible. Loco Coyote should franchise. It's a crime to hide this from so many people. Overall it was five stars.

The complete Texan experience food in this restaurant! Full of open green space, live music with the specialty of amazing mesquite, bbq, smoker and grill food. Hard to find for the unique localization and off the road type, but the staff, the food and the environment is Wonderful!
If you're in the area, you MUST stop by this place! After a long hike at Dinosaur Valley State Park, we built up quite an appetite, and Loco Coyote Grill was nearby, so we went to try it out. I'll admit driving to the place you kinda start to worry about where you are going, but once you get there, it's a hidden gem! We walked into the bar and asked the staff how the seating worked. We learned that on the far left of the building is the bar area where you can get drinks and chips with salsa and the right side of the building is the restaurant. One of the staff members was nice enough to go check us in at the hostess stand, and within about 10 minutes, we were seated. Our waitress was very sweet and answered any questions we had. We placed our orders and waited a little over 30 minutes for our food to come. Tables around us were getting their food, and it smelt so dang good that it was hard to wait. Once the food came though, it was well worth it. They have pretty decent bbq here, we both really enjoyed our brisket, and their bbq is on the sweeter side but has a good complimenting flavor to the brisket. The potato salad was a little heavy with mayo for my taste, but our waitress was kind enough to bring me some mustard to add. Their fried okra was my favorite part of the meal. Their batter was crunchy and a perfect thin coat to not overpower the okra. The only thing I would say was a tiny bummer during the visit was my drink from the bar, I got a Mexican Mule, and it had a weird aftertaste.
Was told by a friend this out of the way down a side road in the country that I really need to try out. Well it was worth the stop. The staff was friendly, the menu is straightforward, well stocked bar, in door and outdoor seating. As you can see the portions are big and fill you up. Sweet tea is just how we like it in the south. Get an order of the onion rings and some of the house ranch. It’s good to support local businesses and this is one that deserves it.
Love this spot. It's quirky, funky, off the beaten path, and so worth it. We had the shrimp po boy with fried okra, chips and salsa, coyote balls, and my husband had the pulled pork sammich (i think). Food was DELICIOUS! It was a Saturday, so we had an hour and a half wait until we could be seated, but we're glad we waited. Bar area is breezy, open air. There's a stage and some picnic tables and wire spools outside you can it at. Some kids played ball in the field out back. Live music was good.
What a neat place in the middle of nowhere! The atmosphere is really neat. The food was good but not excellent. The smoked turkey was extremely dry. The ribs were food but a little bland. The steak was delicious and tender. The coyote balls were extremely good as were the onion rings.
I love the atmosphere at this place. It’s like a local barn hang out that started charging friends for not leaving. $3 Dos Equis on tap! My wife got the skinny margarita and it was probably the strongest drink I’ve ever had. Seriously, just straight booze. The barbecue was not that great but it’s stilll an awesome off the beaten path place that should be visited. Live country music. Probably best in spring and fall when the windows are open and not too hot or cold If the food had been better this would be a can’t miss but it was a little bland and nothing special
We ordered to-go meals on the last night of our trip, but I wish we would’ve been able to come inside to enjoy the fun atmosphere. We got the sliced brisket, sausage, and chicken-fried steak! For sides, we had the mac&cheese, fried okra, and potato salad. The brisket was tender, the sausage had a great snap, and the chicken fried steak was crispy and HUGE!! We loved everything. We’d absolutely come back! Hopefully next time we can come inside.
I drive 1 1/2 hour just to eat here. The food is great. One of my favorite things are the onionrings one of the best I have ever eaten. The slices brisket, pulled pork, and fried fish with the grill shrimp are just some of my family favorites. Is not a big restaurant and it gets pack so be mindful that you might have to wait 45min to 1 hr ore more some times to get a table and be seated.
Amber did great and food was good. Hamburger was huge. BBQ was good and the okra was delicious.

The restaurant embodies the Texas country-side atmosphere. Pleasant staff, honest menu, crowded on weekends. Worth a visit if you are in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Venue with kive music and atmosphere were great. Food was very disappointing. BBQ was dry and brought out cold. Catfish was average. Waitresses wirking their tails off did the best they could with a big crowd.
We went on a Saturday and waited 45 minutes to be seated and another 45 minutes to get our food. We had made sure to order as soon as we sat down and someone came over. Our waitress was nice but for the amount of time we had to wait, the food was just average. The atmosphere was nice with stuff to do outside, especially for kiddos. There wasn’t an indoor waiting area so we were happy to be seated before the rain began to pour. I got the chopped bbq chicken sandwich and fried okra. I didn’t care for the bbq sauce on the sandwich because it kind of tasted like A1 sauce. My husband enjoyed his Jack Daniels bbq burger. He said there wasn’t enough bbq sauce on it though. Overall, it was an okay experience.
I have been here many times. Well we went last Sunday to introduce someone new to it. We waited 24 minutes to get our drinks once we ordered them. Then it was another 26 minutes for food after it was ordered. The food was cold and tasted terrible. I even sled for my kid’s French fries to be re made and I’m pretty sure the waitress took them back and just tossed them in a different bowl and brought them back. Same ones… we were a table of 8 and 6 out of 8 did not like the food. Now the other 2 got chicken fingers and loved them. It was a Sunday but it was also Labor Day weekend. I will say that I have been here and loved it so many times. I will be back just hope that this was a one off experience. I will say never expect fast service but it’s usually not horrible. The food has always been great… next time I come I will write another review. Hopefully it will be a good one!
This place is out in the country. The drive up is nice if coming through Tolar side to restaurant. We had to wait 1hour + to be seated. We were finally seated we knew what we wanted so placed our order. Glad we ordered appetizer (chips salsa and queso good.)It took 1hour + for food to come to table. Total waiting to eat 2 and half hours. The waitress said OUR FOOD ORDER got pushed to end because TO GO ORDERS. *I would say not right....people actually seated at tables should get food first.* This place is good but not the worth the wait. Country fried steak was mostly crust and very fatty chewy meat. 👎 The chicken tenders are okay....the crust burnt. **Fries I would not order ,soft and soggy not fresh at all. **Side of cheese corn did not have cheese in it.👎 Potato salad was good. Bathrooms are pretty much out houses hooked up to their septic tank.... Which i could see where it was out back with over grown grass. Its a very rustic country diner. It was a warm day their inside seating is basically outdoors just covered with windows opened... Could not feel A/C that was supposedly on.
Took 10 minutes to be greeted by wait staff. And then just walked on by without taking drink order. Food ok. May have been a bad night fir server.
The room was hot and full of flies. My order was a brisket sandwich ( only about a 1/2 cup of meat) and fries! Roll was dry and flat. Not great for a $14
This restaurant was highly recommended and we were excited to go. The food, service and atmosphere were great, however the flies ruined the experience. We had to cover our drinks and constantly sho…

The flavors and quality that once made Loco famous are no longer there. They used to have the best pinto beans and barbecue sauce. The pinto beans are horrid now. I was unable to stomach more than two bites. Also, there was no warning to the complete Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde change to the pinto bean recipe. The barbecue sauce has an overpowering vinegar flavor now that masks any other flavors. I found it to be inedible as well. The coyote balls now always come overcooked to the point of being burned and too dry to eat without choking and needing to chug a glass of water. It’s sad because I love this place so much.
This was terrible. The only things hot were the chips. The queso was cold after being sent back twice we gave up. The Turkey tasted like it had been cooked 2 days ago, the sliced beef was cold and dry and the ribs were Luke warm. The fries were cold and hard and the sides were generic. I don't like Dickies bbq but even they are better than this and about half the price. My advice drive to hard right in stephenville.
Fryer broken, food was cool and not at all great. However, service was done with a smile. A lot of flies inside, otherwise the atmosphere would have been fine.
So today, our group came in with about 30+ cars and let them know well ahead of time. The plan was to cruise in, eat and cruise out. Well, that didn't go according to plan at all, mainly because management didn't set the server up for success. Not sure what decision making process was involved, but you don't give one server 30+ people to wait on. We got there at around 11:30a and when i bailed out on the second half of the cruise at 1:15p, there was still one table that didn't have food. The poor girl was doing her best with what she had, so this is no fault of hers, so i tipped her well. Management, here's a little tip from the restaurant business that you can apply to your service model. It's one server per 10 guests, so things like this don't happen. Server 1: takes drinks orders and starts making drinks. Server 2: comes around and takes food orders, splits checks and prints all of the checks. Server 3: helps run drinks, side salads, refill drinks, and eventually helps run food out of the kitchen as it's ready. Yes, side salads are an out first item. Server 1: comes back around and asks about desert, if no, drop all checks. All servers pay out guest. Do not let food sit in the window, bring it out as it's ready. That way EVERYONE gets hot food. The food today would have been 10 times better hot. Last thing, what was the thought process behind the restrooms? The women have 4 toilets and the men have three troughs to pee in. What if the men have to take a dump? Do we poop in the trough or use one of the women's toilets? If we get to use toilets, then there needs to be signage that says it's allowed. Don't want a woman yelling at me when i walk out. Today's lunch should have been 45 minutes to an hour, front to back, not over 3 hours.
Arrived at 5:50pm on July 22, 2023. They tried to track someone down to take our order. Order taken at 6:01pm to go since we didn't want to wait 30 minutes for a table. We were quoted about a 30-40 minute wait which I can understand. It is now 6:48pm and no food. We paid $60 for 3 people but at least they gave us a 3% military discount. We were now told an additional 20-25 minutes were needed. Food was ready at 07:13pm. Food was decent, nothing to write home about. Probably won't be back but thankful to be back on the road.
I debated whether to write this review, as my family has been long-standing customers going back to the original Hammonds. The food has always been outstanding, which is why this visit was so disappo…

My wife, a friend and myself went to Loco Coyote today December 28 2025 like we have probably for the last 12-14 years. We arrived about 12:15 and were put on a wait list which was not unusual for …
waited two hours most ridiculous service ever. Will never be back. Was told 30 min. Keep getting passed up on tables even tho we went back up to hostess 4 times. Spend lots of money at bar waiting…
Food was absolutely horrible. ribs where nasty, steak was gross, queso tasted like vomit, my kids wouldn't even eat their chicken straps. Fried pickles where descent. Thankful the beer was cold

My husband and I got there at 6pm and it was very busy. We waited 30 min. for a table. Then waited 1 1/2 hours for our food. My brisket was cold, tough and smokey. Beans cold, cheesy corn disgus…
Sat at the bar and ordered food. Waited an hour and twenty minutes for a simple appetizer. Decided I had wasted enough time and left after that. The bartender was working really hard while the people around her were jacking around on their phones. I had really high hopes for this place.
We went to try out this place since we are out of town. Had higher expectations for customer service. Our waiter Brooklyn Vara would slam our drinks down on the table and throw the straws without properly handing them to us. Definitely tried to keep the benefit of the doubt but unfortunately was not able to due to the waiters service. Would not come again.
We ordered briskets and a burger, but it took about an hour for our food to arrive. The quality was disappointing. The briskets were too dry and unappetizing. The seating was uncomfortable. And we were charged $3 for tap water…
I recently visited the loco coyote local restaurant, and while I have to commend the staff for their outstanding service, the food left much to be desired. The atmosphere was warm and familiar, making it a nice place to relax, but unfortunately, the quality of the food was quite disappointing. I ordered the ribs and brisket, but the ribs were so salty and tough that it was hard to enjoy them. None of the dishes had any good flavor. The corn was quite bad, and the baked potato I received was hard and difficult to eat. To top it off, the lemonade was overly sour and tasted unnatural, more like a diluted version than a refreshing drink. Overall, the excellent staff and inviting atmosphere can't make up for the poor food quality. I hope they can improve their menu because I would love to see this place thrive!
Ok been coming here a long time. Food used to be good, but last night it was inedible. My CFS was burnt way past well down. The rib eye was tough, the sliced bbq was fatty and tough as leather. All 4 meals totally gross. Get your act together or you’ll be history fast.
Cute place but the food was not good.. mostly cold and also i was upcharged a $2 baked potato which did not even have bacon so it was so plain. Our server was not good at all and did not check up on us and tried to charge me 6$ for kids drinks which i ordered kids water ( always check the bill)….menu was also limited..first time and also last 😩 oh and they also charge you 3% surcharge for using credit card
I don't understand how people say the food is good here. The meat was mostly fat (and not the tasty melt-in-your-mouth fat) for both the steak and the chopped brisket sandwich. The catfish was "very" fishy, poorly seasoned, and UNDERCOOKED. Okra was not fresh and hushpuppies were burnt. We were there as a party of 8 for an adult birthday and the service was subpar. Asked for water three times and finally got it on the fourth request. The hostess didn't even look up from her phone when she thanked us for coming as we were leaving. One star because the fried pickles and ranch were pretty good and the atmosphere was nice other than the restrooms and they were able to accommodate a large party quickly on a Saturday afternoon.
Been hearing so many great things, for years about this place. Finally got a chance to get out there and try it and was SADLY disappointed. 😥 Started with a drink on the special board, not being available because they didn't have the tequila. Then we ordered onion rings and they were under cooked, unsalted and VERY greasy. I ordered the steak salad, my husband ordered a 2 meat plate. The salad came out.... looking more like dog food. It was even served in a dog bowl. This is a $19 salad. It was lettuce, onion and cheese with brunt up steak pieces on it, despite the waitress asking me how I wanted my steak cooked (medium). There was no tomatoes, no cucumbers. NOTHING that made this salad worth damn near $20. I was so sad about this experience. We spent over $100 for 2 people and it was worth maybe $40. Terrible. Won't be back. Our server was nice but I was seriously just so sad at feeling like I was duped, the experience was lost.
Loco Coyote used to be one of our favorites. Unfortunately, it has gone down hill. The prices have gone up, portions have gone down, and quality has not been as good. Today we decided to give it another try after a couple month break. We asked to sit outside because our kids like to play so we watch them through the windows. We were told there would be a little wait. We said no problem even though we could see empty tables outside. We then watched as the hostess sat people who arrived after us outside. My husband asked if our table was ready. The hostess had forgotten about us. So we waited patiently for the next table. We finally get sat down. After 20 minutes a waitress still had not come to our table at all. We finally got up and left. At this point there were 4 empty tables around us. So this wasn't because they were overly busy. We tried to be as patient as possible, but after being there almost an hour, we hadn't even had our drink order taken.
