Top 5 breakfast spot in glendale for sure. This place can get crowded in the mornings and on the weekend. That being said, go any other time and you can choose where you sit. Once seated, the charasmatic waitor or waitress will take your order accurately and fast paced. The food takes about 15 min to prepare most times I've been there, which I would consider normal for a sit down restuarant. The meals I've gotten at New York Grill are proportioned well and taste delicious. Enjoy your time at this local establishment as I sure did!

My families one and only Diner for the past 13 yrs, when they closed for a few months, we suffered. We went to a few local diners, and that was an awful experience, not welcoming, awful food, Glendale diner seemed prejudiced, food was tasteless, coffee taste like instant coffee, we are hispanics, we definitely were treated different, the discrimination was clear. Their waitresses go out smoke, then come back in, stinking and serving YUCK! Tastys diner is awful as well, the owner is on top of poeple the minute they see you're almost done with your food you are smacked with the bill and a thank you, we did not enjoy our time there, food the worst, portion was like they a serving a child, no refills on coffee, there is no place like NY Grill! The food is great. Refills on coffee, coffee is the best, family owned business, extremely polite and professional. Nice warm place, and you are never rushed out. THANK YOU, NY GRILL. Move over everyone else! New York Grill definitely takes the prize as my favorite diner in Glendale. Glendale Queens has excellent bars and restaurants, but when it is Diner food I want, it's New York Grill for me. I would tell you what my favorite item from the menu is but I've tried almost everything and I have been fully satisfied with everything I've had! But hey, excellent food with crappy service would have only earned them 4 stars from me. The last star was earned by the friendliest diner staff I've come across in a very long time. Everything they do is done to perfection. Introduce yourself and visit them twice and they will remember your name. They pride themselves in that.

I love their hamburgers so delicious and juicy. Half a pound of 100 percent beef. The best Hamburgers in Queens. It's a family place they have everything pork chops, roasted chicken and meatloaf and mash potatoes and NY steak the best. I recommend this place.

11/18/25: Went for breakfast this morning with my daughter. I had a waffle and kielbasa, she had eggs, toast and potatoes. Coffee/orange juice. Service was great, filled my coffee three times. Started getting busy just before we left, people were waiting for tables. That's a good sign. Could very easily have been here solo, comfortable vibe. Very clean. I have a thing for bathrooms. If the bathroom isn't clean or maintained, then makes me suspect about the kitchen. Bathroom was very clean. And I think I saw an "A" or "A+" rating on the front window. Prices were good. Very happy here.

Ever since I was little, I would go to this restaurant so many times. I have so many fond memories. Even eating it today, it brings back memories of when my mom would take me and my siblings to eat there for dinner. At the time, they would close much later than they do now. Thankfully, I'm already walking home by 2 pm, and since I live close by, the delivery was nice and fast. The food is always delicious, generously well priced, and the customer service is always really nice. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger that came with fries, along with an extra side of onion rings. That came up to $20 on the dot, and with the portions they serve, I was more than happy with that price. I have, and I will continue to go to this amazing restaurant. I highly recommend it if you're in the area.

After walking in. Nobody noticed me. So i ended up standing there for about 5 mins until i eventually just sat wherever i wanted. I've been here before and the food is what you would expect from a diner. Taste good and filling. The seating is comfortable and its warm inside. I left here feeling mission accomplished. Overall, a solid spot.

I ordered online a cheese burger deluxe is 6.10 but he charged me 8.75 plus tax. I don't care if its only 2.65 more for one but I ordered 3 deluxe burgers so he over charged me by 7.95 extra. They make up prices as they go.

Disgusting service!!! Order a steak medium rare, got it well done. Sent it back and received a steak medium well. Told the waitress I will eat it because I'm no longer gonna wait for my food and it would be a waste at this point. Come time for the check and it's Full price. I went to speak to the manager who argued I should have sent it back again and that instead he will accomadate me but to never come back again. That he was banning me because he felt I wanted a free meal. I told him I don't want a free meal but a discount and that I shouldn't have to send my food back a third time. They should have gotten it right if not the first time then the second time!!! I'm not saying the food is bad but the service and attitude of the staff is down right horrible and the manager feels like business is so great he doesn't have to respect his customers and he's always right!!! DONT EAT HERE

There was hair in my burger and they still made me pay for the fries that I had none of. Mind you I worked over there. I would order large orders there almost everyday. They knew me very well but once there was a problem I became a stranger. I’ve never since and never will eat there again. Customer courtesy is EVERYTHING!

The worst experience I've had with restaurant staff. I will not go back. - Food is bland - Don't go here for good service or food - They aren't friendly - They don't treat children well We asked for water and they walked right passed us. The female waitress asked us if we could wait outside before we were done. My wife was using the bathroom and I was at the table with my child. They couldn't even wait 5 minutes for us to get ourselves together. I still had a menu to order more food to go.

I went there to have breakfast and I wanted to tip the waitress, so I told the waitress that I need to have an option of leaving her a tip because I do not see it on my receipt, I was charged on my card again directly by the restaurant just for the waitresses to get her tip. As I was getting ready to leave after going out of my way to make sure that I tipped my waitress, a man that was behind the counter started telling me that waitresses don’t need a tipping option on the receipt or at the Card Reader during checkout, even though we all know that many customers will gladly leave without leaving a penny for their servers, which is greatly common for tip based workers. I found the man to be unnecessarily rude and aggressive towards me for wanting to tip my waitress, which felt extremely weird and rude. It was a very uncomfortable experience to have as a customer.
