California Pizza Kitchen at DFW airport receives mixed reviews. While some praise the fresh food, fast service, and friendly staff (like Marlo and Kevin), others complain about small portions, high prices, slow service, and poorly made drinks. The BBQ Chicken Pizza and Szechuan Chicken Dumplings are popular.

Fantastic experience! Ordered a cauliflower crust BBQ pizza from the to-go counter and in less than 10 minutes I had this amazing pizza in hand and headed to my gate! Huge portion, enough to share for sure!
Great food after a flight! Juma was particularly awesome, gave great service and was super nice.
This delicious pizza factory in the Dallas Fort worth Airport is a great place for a quick bite. The convenient sized pizza can easily be consumed in one setting based off your hunger levels. The service is quick and friendly. Price is a little high, but it's premium pizza at a desired location. I highly recommend the double pepperoni 🍕
California Pizza Kitchen has incredible pizza. I am forever thankful that one is in the airport. It may be busy, and they make it once you order it, so give yourself time to enjoy!
I had a long layover at DFW on 2/14/19. I stopped in to California Pizza and ordered the cauliflower pizza with 1 mixed drink. The food quality was excellent. But the true shining star of my experience was Marcy, the lady tending bar. Her sweet, calm, and attentive demeanor was the perfect combination to create a relaxing environment (as we know that traveling can get stressful at times.) She did a perfect mix on her drink, but most importantly, just had a great attitude. She should always be in a position where she is working with the public. As a business owner myself, I know that ANY company would be lucky to have Marcy on their team.
Food was great and Juma is awesome! Super nice guy and great service. Thanks so much!!
Even at closing time tonight, manager and staff were accommodating and friendly. Makes them stand out and makes me feel like a person rather than a number. Could have easily gotten an eye roll or a sigh, but i received the opposite of that tonight. Good work team.
Food served quickly, all staff was helpful. Great experience.
Just the thing after a long flight. Very tasty pizza and just as important, a good draft beer selection. Also great service which is often lacking in airport eateries.
Juma was extremely helpful and provided service well above what I expected at a CPK in an airport. Will definitely eat here again on my travels.
This was an excellent place to have a quick bite to eat between flights. Our server was very attentive and did a fantastic job. The food was excellent and it did not take long at all. We were able to stop and enjoy our meal without a fuss and without worrying if we were going to make our connecting flight. The pizza and the turkey sandwich were excellent.
Was hard to get a server's attention, had to wait quite a while for service. Pizza came out fast and was delicious! The menu is online but you can't put in your order until a server starts your tab, which is inconvenient if they are busy which defeats the purpose of being able to start your own order.
What a pleasure to meet Juma. It was great communication and a friendly person. Definitely an awesome experience, thanks Juma ;)
I ordered pickup and it took about 10 minutes. Solid food, great for airport. Would recommend. Juma is the man. He helped me out a lot when I was starving after a 6 hour flight. Very nice guy
Everyone knows airport food is quite expensive. But they don’t usually have an experience that makes the price worth it! I bought a nice turkey club sandwich, but my first bite of cold focaccia bread was not the delicious experience my hungry stomach wanted. I asked if they could possibly heat my sandwich up, and manager Tamika graciously put it in the pizza oven to heat up. It was delicious! Worth the money. Thank you Tamika!
I have to say the pizza was amazing. Crust was perfect thin crispy with just a hint of burnt crust from the oven. What sold me to stop in on my lay over is the smell coming from the restaurant. You can smell the herbs and the taste was excellent. Kevin my waiter was cool and knew when to let you eat and offered drinks at the right time. Kevin has great timing as a server and others waitress helped bring out food surprisingly quickly. I will seek out the restaurant on my next trip.
I had a very long layover at the Dallas Airport & I was glad to see The California Pizza Kitchen! The food is always so fresh and delicious! I enjoyed the Szechuan Chicken Dumplings, so much flavor in every bite, very juicy. The Bbq Chicken Pizza is always my go to! The tangy bbq sauce compliments all the ingredients on the pizza perfectly!
California Pizza Kitchen is a culinary haven that never ceases to amaze! From the moment you step in, the modern and inviting decor creates a comfortable atmosphere for a delightful meal. The menu is a culinary adventure through a diverse range of inventive and delectable pizzas, showcasing unique combinations of fresh ingredients that tantalize the taste buds. The attention to detail in each dish is evident, reflecting a commitment to quality and creativity. The attentive staff go above and beyond to ensure a wonderful dining experience, making you feel right at home. Whether you're indulging in their signature BBQ chicken pizza, savoring their crisp and fresh salads, or exploring their tempting pasta options, California Pizza Kitchen consistently delivers a satisfying and memorable meal that keeps you coming back for more.
I received excellent customer service from Patricia at the counter and my food was excellent! Patricia made my visit pleasant and uplifting with her amazing humor and personality! Certainly a breath of fresh air after a long day of traveling. Unfortunately, I had to witness Windford (Mgr) talk to the staff in a disrespectful manner. Patricia needs a raise and Windford needs management training classes, my two cents as a religious customer of the many locations!
The food wasn't anything spectacular or special but still good. Our service was above and beyond expectations!! They didn't have what our kids wanted to drink. Our waitor graciously went to another store and bought them what they wanted. I have never experienced such kindness!
We got a pasta and pizza to share. Food came out fast and service was good. Not going to say food was the best I have ever had, but it was decent. Also, I had order a drink with no ice and I was brought the drink with ice, I start drinking from it but guess waiter saw I was removing the ice and brought me the drink without ice.
They were only serving pizza which was weird. Pizza was good, but I had to take it to go as my plane was close to boarding. Enjoyed the pizza. Table turnover was quick and the wait staff were on their toes making sure they hit the new customers quickly.
This is my go-to for midday DFW layovers. Good quality for airport food and the service is of moderate speed when you sit at the counter. Location is convenient as well, right next to the Skylink. I would not recommend it if you have a short layover, but otherwise it’s my favorite pizza at DFW.
Marlo was very nice and super quick at taking my order as soon as I could put my stuff down. Pizza came out very quick and thank God because, I wasn't feeling the greatest after my last flight.
California Pizza Kitchen in DFW airport Terminal A, Level 2 offered fast, friendly service and a relaxed, chill atmosphere. The food was pretty good, and the staff’s warm, welcoming attitude made the experience great. Also, side note… I love that they use plant-based plastic free straws that biodegrade but don’t breakdown during use. Thank you! 🙏
Conveniently located at the Dallas airport terminal A, this spot is great option for a quick meal or drink while traveling. However, the portion sizes are noticeably smaller, and the prices are steeper compared to other locations. Despite that, the service was excellent—friendly and efficient, which made the experience more enjoyable. If you're in a pinch for time and don't mind paying a bit more for the convenience, this place does the trick. #cpkdallasairport #dallasaiporteats #dallasairportfood #dallasairportresturant #dallasairport #cpkterminalA #gracebucholtz #gracebucholtzexprealty #terminalAdallasairport #movingtosouthflorida #southfloridaliving #southfloridarealestate #southfloridarealty
So I'm trapped here in DFW waiting for a flight home. There are so many different medium range restaurants in here to chose from. So it was between Papadeaux Seafood House or California Pizza Kitchen and the CPK won. I wasn't let down. This was my second attempt at California Pizza Kitchen. It was just as good as it was the first time I tried it in San Francisco. This time I had the Hawaiian Style. For those of you who have the age old discussion of"Does Pineapple belong on pizza." The answer is yes! There were slices of fresh pineapple on this pizza with big hunks of Canadian Bacon (smoked pork tenderloin) and it was delicious. The dough is a bit different now I believe. In SF CA. The weather makes everything taste better. It was a nice way to spend a 3 hour layover in Dallas. So I must say, it was delicious and the atmosphere was pretty good. It was as good as it could be in the middle of an airport. The service was awesome too. Most of the service team work their butts off all day long. No breaks in traffic. I mean, it's one of the busiest airports in the world.
Didn't have the taste I remember from previous experiences, and service was really slow. It didn't seem too busy, but they had one cook so what can you do. Felt like the manager was trying to accuse me of stealing because of there stupid hands free machine was not registering the product on the scale and had to be scanned with the barcode reader. All in all, there are better places to eat in this terminal, so I would avoid in the future.
So I always eat here when I come to DFW airport. Service good, food good...however,there was a situation I believe with the manager and employees about the break time in front of everyone. That change the whole mood of the attention of service.I believe that this type of situation needs to be discussed internally and definetly not let it get on the way on the service. My humble opinion
I walked the entire length of terminal B looking forward to my favorite BBQ Chicken Salad. For some disappointing reason they are only serving pizza and beer. CPK is one of my favorite restaurants, I have never eaten their pizza. This location should be a take out spot not a sit down restaurant. Pizza and beer before getting on an airplane sounds terrible.
Updated after second visit: First visit for lunch - Seated immediately, order taken within a minute, arrived within 14 minutes. Ordered a standard pepperoni pizza priced at what you'd expect at an airport. Small beer selection. Pizza is very thin and what I'd call a small. Hot, seasoned, well cooked, surprisingly good. Second visit for breakfast - seated immediately, order taken within a minute, omelette arrived about 7 minutes later. The smoked ham and cheese omelette is ok but disappointing. The smoked ham is just sliced lunch meat torn into pieces. The toast is just white bread. The potatoes were flavorless and soggy. I cant recommend for breakfast. Service was solid for both visits.
I came here last week, and again today. I travel for work, and sometimes will go to a sit down restaurant when I have a long layover. Last week, my server was pretty good, but the other waitresses were very blunt and impersonal. I thought it was just a rough day. I came back again today, and the same waitresses are here. They are inattentive and impersonal. They also seriously lack interpersonal communication skills. When I say “thank you,” I’m met with “ok.” I don’t feel like they care. One waitresses never smiles, and always has a very prickly face on the entire time. Not a comfortable place to eat. When traveling, you really need a break. This restaurant does not have a friendly atmosphere (this was my experience both times). The food is decent, but I don’t think I’ll be coming back.
I had a 3hr layover in the Dallas/Fort Worth airport and figured I would try California Pizza Kitchen since where I’m at there is none. I have to say for my first time trying this it was disappointing. The pizza was fine nothing crazy but it was alright. However the breakfast sandwich I got was wrong, it was also burnt. My server tried to tell me that I didn’t specifically ask for bacon or ham so he assumed I wanted an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. On top of the inside buns being burnt. I pointed it out and the manager made me a new on. Fries were not crispy either time. They were rather soggy and greasy.
We ordered a bloody Mary and a mojito. The bloody Mary was poorly mixed and the mojito was mostly lime juice. Both were difficult to drink. We also had a cheese pizza and a pepperoni pizza. Neither of us liked the crust. The sauce was both light and sour. The pepperoni was also very greasy. Sorry I can't recommend this place.
It’s so hard to get someone to wait on you. It’s like they pick and choose who they want to wait on. I think there’s a requirement that you have to be a sub par waitstaff to work her. Plus the pizza tasted like cardboard and the sauce was so thin you couldn’t even see it.
Walking through the DFW airport and decided to stop for some pizza. There was no one at the gate so we walked over to the counter and ordered we went to sit down after ordering. The manager (lady) comes over and vert hatefully says we can’t sit in the dinning area because we ordered at the to go counter. We explained no one was at the gate to seat us so we came to the counter not knowing it was the to go counter. She again very rudely says “don’t sit in the dinning room unless you cancel your to go order and go sit down then someone will come over for your order”. What? Really? Umm, no we already paid $43.00. Lady your rude and need to find a different job or learn how to great your customers.
Only giving an extra star because the pizza was good. We understood it was busy due to cancelled flights. I had to get up and ask for extra plates, get my own hot sauce, and my drink was never refilled, we also asked for a to-go box and never got one all of the wait staff just walked passed us with no acknowledgement after we paid our ticket. I guess once they get their money you don’t matter anymore as a customer. 🤷🏻♀️
Not good. I ordered the CPK salad and it came with 4 of the like 8 items listed. It was gross... I ate some of it because I thought my flight was leaving on time, but it was 2 hours delayed. I had to eat somewhere else to get enough food before my flight but had I gone to a good restaurant first i wouldn't have had to. The wait staff was nice. Probably stick to pizzas here not salads.
Arrived at 9:50am. Try to order breakfast but told by the waiter I was too late. They stop serving at 10:00am. Asked him to check with the kitchen to make sure they were still serving. Tried to order the guac/corn with chips. They didn't have chips. Ordered the breakfast burrito with the green salsa, they didn't have salsa. None of this mentioned to me until I'm getting my food. Waiter had too many tables by the time he came to check on me was when I needed my check. Not impressed with my visit.
Yeah, this ain’t it. Nothing like the chain restaurant. Understaffed severely, but the staff who are there made the most of it and gave great service. Pizza is a lot smaller than you’d think though and is probably half the size of what you’d get at a CPK for a similar price.
Just watched one of the employees Tammy run off 2 separate customers because she wanted them to change where they’re were siting and was very obnoxious about it. It took 30 minutes for someone to take the spot she kicked one of the guys out of. Bartender was normal no complaints, but nothing special.
Overall, not a good experience. Also, because it is tucked into an isolated corner of the airport, it requires a lot of effort to get there and there aren't many back up options near by. At 7:30 PM on Christmas, there weren't very many options open. Our family of 4 doesn't meat and most of the places in the aiport had little for us. The CPK menu looked good, sadly they were not serving anything other than Cheese or Margherita pizza. The pizza was ok, but it took some time, and the service was quite poor. We scanned the menu, tried to order, then it says there was a problem with ordering and to ask a server. It took a full 15 minutes for a server to come to our table, and even before that the server complained "it would be a while" and the food was at least 30 minutes. When she finally took our order, she proceeded to tell our kids they cannot make a mess or they would be required to clean it up themselves. Anyway, the pizza was fine (not as good as CPK can be), although we wanted to order some other menu options they weren't offering. I also suspect that the service my family received was different than other patrons were receiving for reasons, and I probably won't be back here and will avoid sit down restaurants in DFW in general.
Sticky and dirty counters and chairs. Awkward and strange service. They need to take more pride in their establishment. Don’t waste your $ here.
Waitress seemed overwhelmed and forgot to put order in. Waited 30 minutes before stopping her and asking about our order. 3 people came after us, got served and food came out before my order did.
Worst service ever! Been here bout 10 mins no one ask if we want to orden, the pizza arrives but no plates or anything
Somehow the pizza here is worse than the frozen boxed variety by the same brand. Undercooked, greasy dough was Tough and chewy. Toppings tasted good, the whole thing was small though for $21~ Server was friendly. Would not recommend.
Food was good but it was the service that was lacking. Our server, Jonah (not sure if the name is accurate but it’s what showed on our receipt), wasn’t really the best. Even though the restaurant was near empty she made us feel like she was in a rush to get us out of there. I get that it’s located in an airport so maybe she thought we were in a hurry but that wasn’t the case. Honestly I felt like we were inconveniencing her during our visit. My husband and I shared the bbq chicken pizza and got the butter cake for dessert. Before we could even order our dessert, our waitress came around with the checks and put them down on the table for us to pay. It was kind of awkward for us to tell her we wanted to order dessert. Hopefully it was just an off day for her. At least the food was good though! So that’s what matters most. Still giving two stars though for the customer service.
Most of my encounters with California Kitchen Pizza have been great, but not this one. Here how the interaction goes on Termianl A at DFW: 1) enter the establishment at around 6:50PM (right next to gate A29) and the waiter/seater asked us to take a seat in specific area. 2) before we could move to the table in the waited area, another waiter intercepted the first about pushing people to her side, while the first waiter’s table were available 3) after their argument, they asked us to take any table we preferred, so I walked to the counter to check on menu (as they informed us that only pizzas were available) 4) waiter one followed us, when I questioned his intent, waiter - said the menus are on table…. Did not think they were in mood to wait the tables today…….
Total experience was terrible! $5 for a soda, $20 for a chicken pesto sandwich that was cold. Waitress had zero personality. Prices are absolutely insane. That was probably my last time I will ever go to that establishment ever again anywhere in the country...
We had several minutes until they were supposed to stop serving breakfast which is what I wanted because of food allergies but their staff is lazy and wanted us to stand there while we're trying to catch a flight and wait for the menu to change over because they didn't want to serve breakfast anymore. Ridiculous.
Wow I was alone at a table and was seated next to a nice couple and we ordered at about the same, though with different waiters. The man at the table next to me got his pizza before me and took a bit out of it. He then must have realized that it was not what he ordered and returned it. I saw his pizza and the return and thought it looked just like what I ordered. So his waiter took it away and, surprise, 30 sec later my pizza came - with the same bite taken out of it. I returned and said that this pizza was obviously a return. The waiter just said "oh sorry" and ran away and promised to get me a new one. I waited then for another 15min. I understand that mistakes happen, but how can a returned pizza end up on my plate. If I had not observed the return I might have just took it and ate it, thinking maybe a piece got damaged during handling. I finished quickly, hoping to hear another apology or discount, but nothing happened. My flight was about to board so I paid and left with no time for demanding to see a manager. Unacceptable.
Everyone has bad days and weeks. This restaurant was under staffed and prob the worst CPK ever. It's not like they weren't trying hard. There was just no leadership there helping to make things better. Appreciate your people or increase pay to get better staff. Making the customer suffer is wrong!
I was at the Dallas Airport with my jet lagged, hungry 3 old on July 1st. I walked over to California Pizza kitchen from another terminal because my 3 year old was specifically asking for pizza, which is a big deal because he really struggles with communication. We waited for about 20 minutes to be seated, and NOBODY EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED US! It was like we were invisible. They were hardly busy, and the staff members walked by us multiple times without saying a single word to us. There were 5 other groups of people behind us in line, none of them got seated either. So if you wanna feel invisible and irrelevant, this is the perfect place to go. I thanked them for their terrible service, and went over TGIF Fridays where we were actually treated like human beings. California Pizza kitchen is a dirt bag establishment that I would never go to even if they offered me free pizza for life.
Cannot think of a more horrid tasting pizza. Imagine munching on moist cardboard, but having to pay $14 for the privilege to do so.
Ordered a cheese pizza and a glass of wine and asked for the bill. I was told the pizza would be about 10 minutes by the waiter behind the bar. After several people were served before me I asked about my order. I was told the order got lost and got charged for a 6oz glass of wine instead of a 9oz glass of wine. Also a big commotion about a couple not paying for their order before they left. It appeared that the service was also taking way too long for them and they left. The staff threatened them by saying “them cops gonna get you”. Extremely slow service. Will not return and would not recommend.
Absolutely, hands down, the WORST pizza I have ever eaten. The pepperoni tastes like fried salami. The cheese is so gross I cannot even describe it. The only thing any good about it is the crust. However, the bottom was undercooked. It was 16 dollars. I would have rather overpaid for a Little Caesars Pizza than this garbage.
We had some time before we had to board our flight. And I had a craving for pizza, so I found this place on the airport map, and I dragged my daughter and girlfriend there . When we get to the entrance and are supposed to be shown to our seats, the waiter at the entrance just keeps looking at us like ‘what do you want?’ After a while I ask ‘is there free seating?’ And he responded in a irritated way ‘No that’s my job, that’s what I do!’ All said while sort of ignoring our us. Great start! We get a seat and are about to look at the menu when a new waiter asks if we want something from the bar or we just want to look at the menu. We tell him that we just want to look at the menu. He then rolled his eyes at us while he said ‘okay’ in very irritated manner. This where our experience stops. There is plenty of food alternatives in the airport, so we just left and found a burger place close by. I am not paying money for a treatment like that. After 3 weeks in the county we had nothing but good and friendly service. But this staff manager to f***k up a perfect streak just before leaving.
Management should pay attention to this place. We did order food the yogurt parfait looked like it came out from a cereal box. I did order the cpk classic breakfast sandwich the bun is the cheapest the potatoes no flavor at all. The server and the host awesome service.
Bartender tonight has no work ethic. Ignored me my first 15 minutes. Flagged her down to place an order. Waited 15 minutes still no drink even. Asked her for drink and got it 20 minutes after ordering. Waited 20 more minutes to find out she never put my food order in. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere that the staff cares.
Not a good experience. Was stereotyped just for existing in their space. I was trying to get clarity on how the self order worked and was hounded about whether I was dining in or out (it's a pizza spot in an airport...). Once I Sat down, I went to the bar to order a drink. The bartender ignored me and some other person made me go sit at the table to order. When I asked why I couldn't order at the bar, I was told it's because people leave the area with drinks...this is nonsense because nothing is stopping me from walking away from my table with the drink. Traveling is already stressful enough, why add to it? Lastly, the cheese pizza I bought was burnt and small porportion for the $15 I paid.
We had 5 hours to kill and could have gone to any terminal to eat but chose CPK. The pizza didn't even resemble what you get at a real CPK despite the 2x price. It tasted like a child was heating up frozen pizzas in the kitchen. Server was very nice.
Quanton was my bartender and Tammy was also working before the bar. Both were doing shots. Bartenders are terrible and the managers let it happen. They are just there. It's just a job not their trying to take care of customers. Had one drink and pizza.... $40...You can tell the managers don't care as they were around not actually looking at what was going on. I can honestly say I know that's not how CPK acts, it's because it's HMS ran.
Food is good like any other CPK, however the service is TERRIBLE. The QR codes to order at the table aren’t activated until a waiter comes toy our table and activates it, completely defeating the purpose of having them. The food takes a long time to come out, which is unacceptable at an airport.
Subpar even as far as California Pizza Kitchen standards go. I could've taught my 5 year old to make a better food offering. Got chewed out by bartender for attempting to navigate the uniquely inconvenient digital payment system. It goes without saying that this unit needs leadership and development to succeed. Terrible experience on July 17 2023
Order a margarita pizza to-go and they gave me the worst pizza ever. Looks like I asked for a favor. Was everything horrible.im very upset I know California Pizza is amazing but I’m frustrated and disappointed. 7/11 can make a pizza better than that one they gave me .
Literally said they were too busy to even take my order, while it was empty. Unbelievably bad.
Their frozen pizza at the grocery store tastes better than whatever method they are doing here. Don't bother, its all horrible
Wife and I thought we’d split a pizza. Cost $44 with a glass of wine. Got McDonald’s afterwards.
First time trying this chain, my girlfriend had fond memories of it as a kid, so we thought "why not" on our 3-hour layover. Unfortunately, I'm probably going to now associate this place with the awful service experience we had here. The place was near empty, so we'd thought it'd be okay to order a drink and pass some time in the entirely empty section, not even in the main dining area, without getting a full meal. Even the drink I bought was pricey anyway and I tipped them. Upon sitting in the entirely empty section, a very rude server approached us, "Dana", and told us that we couldn't sit there. I looked at her in confusion, as I was a paying customer, and she told me there was no alcohol allowed outside of the restaurant. We were still within the limits of the restaurant, so it didn't make any sense. She claimed it was a "to-go" only area. She made us move back in to the main area, and when I went to sit at a table, she refused to let me. Since I had only ordered a beer I "had" to sit at the bar, even though again, the establishment was near empty. When my girlfriend confusedly came over to join me, Dana also barked at her for trying to sit down at the table, talking down to her stating "if you aren't ordering food you can't sit there, the servers use these tables to make money." When she asked if she could join me at the bar, Dana accused her of not even being 21. We are closer to 30 at this point. I can understand if this is a strict restaurant policy, again, even though I was a paying customer and would've continued to order drinks. However, the way this server went about it was incredibly rude and unprofessional to the point I hardly could enjoy my overpriced beer. Would not recommend this location to anyone, we saw many more options that seemed friendlier, more reasonably priced, and did not disrespect their patrons.
Not recommended. Was seated after a few minutes and never was approached to take an order. Waited 15 minutes. Restaurant was not busy. Some staff moved tables around or made smalltalk with customers already eating instead. Not great for people trying to eat before they get to their gate on time. Expensive for the cost of food, considering the low quality. Pizzas from convenience stores look better. The QR app on the table didn't work either.
20 minutes to get someone attention to put the order, 30 minutes to get my coffee to my table, extra 20 minutes to get the check brought, +20 minutes for some run to run my card. If you don’t have plenty of time, don’t stop here. Also the food was horrible. The cheese omelette had a gross taste.
Ordered at kiosk and sat down to dine, place was empty. Server came to take order and we informed her we already ordered so she told us we had to go sit in the dingy dirty cramped self service section. I told her we were gonna just stay where we were because the other place was gross. She protested again and I told her again we were sitting in the main dining area. Then another waitress came to tell us we had to move so again I politely informed her we would be finished shortly and be gone. The two servers sad bad and glared at us until we left. Pizza was great though. I fly dfw twice a month and this will be the last time I eat at cpk. Do better!
The restaurant had very few customers when we sat down. It was probably 20% full. The menu is relatively limited but had enough of a variety for an airport restaurant. The problem was, in our case, that the portions are incredibly small, the prices are outrageous, and the service was below average. The pizzas on the menu, unbeknownst to the customer because there are no sizes mentioned, come out at about 10 in, with at least a 1-in crust all around. There is almost no food. Less food than a 10-in Papa John's pizza or a personal pan pizza. A fountain soda was $4.25. I work in the restaurant business and this soda was roughly 8 oz of soda with the rest being ice. Food cost for this soda is $0.07. The food cost for our pizza, sausage pepperoni mushrooms was probably $2.75 but the pizza was $21. We had an appetizer of spin charge show dip that came out with cold tortilla chips and a breakfast cereal bowl that was half full. $16. Probably food cost less than $3. During the hour we were there we were never offered a refill on our beverages. The table even had an order by phone option which made service ambiguous and hit or miss. Ambiguous for us and for the service you never knew what people were doing or when they were ordering. My adult son ordered a Coors light. It was $8.25 for the beer in aluminum bottle. Overall our bill, pre-tip was roughly $59. For $59 we got a 10-in pizza, an appetizer of chips and dip, two sodas and one beer. They should be ashamed of themselves. Total exploitation and the menu was purposely ambiguous. The signage makes the pizza look much bigger and there is no indication on the menu of what you're getting. Later I noticed that the entire pizza was 200 calories. Imagine that. Less calories than a regular size Snickers bar. The same amount of calories as a 10 oz glass of vitamin d milk. An entire pizza was the same amount of food as a 10 oz glass of milk
Go right around the corner to Le Madeline for much better quality sandwiches & salads for a better price & kinder people. California Pizza Kitchen used to be nice, but this specific place sucks
I had a transit stop here and ordered breakfast. I paid 24 dollars for 2 scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes. The potatoes were burnt and about 1 month old, there was 1 piece of toast cut up in half. It was the worst breakfast i have had ever at an airport here in states. Waist of money and overpriced. I want to give Negative number if possible.
Ordered food at the go kiosk server came over as we sat at a the tables and told us we can’t eat there because we ordered to go we the customer had no idea that was the process and were asked to leave to go sit outside somewhere else. Plenty of seats available we weren’t taking seats from anybody else employee was very rude. My wife and I will not eat you again! Server was kerel… very rude!
First time in DFW. I asked the waitress the cook time for the pizza, was told 15 minutes. I sat down to order with my family and the waitress never came. I resorted to using the self order kiosk. The pizza came out in the promised 15 minutes, but overcooked. The waitstaff who finally resorted to coming to the table, berated us for sitting in the dining area after not using their service, and kicked us out to their “to go” area, which was incredibly small, and completely filthy. See attached. Had the restaurant been busy, and they politely asked us to move, this would make sense. But moving us out of spite is unacceptable. Would not be surprised if folks skip ordering here. Poor experience overall.
I ordered a turkey sandwich during a not very busy time. I asked for a salad to go with it. It took over 40 min for this to come. About 10 min after the pizza came to my friend's who ordered at the same time. The meat on the sandwich was not good quality and was pushed to the middle to make look like there was a lot on the bun. So I had 4 or 5 bites without meat. The salad had limp warm lettuce. Overall terrible even for an airport restaurant.
