Bing's Lake Almanor Bistro

Came here from out of town for work, and decided to try this place because I love sushi! The fish was great 👍 sashimi was on spot and nice and big pieces. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a place to eat.

I placed an order for pick up and was ready when they said. I love the wonton soup, calamari and the shrimp tempura roll. Very filling. Went in today and order the caterpillar roll and it was yummy. On Saturday came to the restaurant for dinner and I ordered the Benito box, it was fantastic. Portions are huge. Hubby got the burger and it was so big he couldn't finish it. And he said this burger is so much better than the burger he normally gets in town. This place will be his favorite burger spot.

An unexpectedly good Asian meal. The menu is massive (maybe too big!), but the Bento boxes we chose were delicious. The serving size was generous—our pictured box even included a huge salad. Highly recommend Bing’s if you’re in the area.

Service was really good. Our waitress was lovely and attentive. We got several sushi rolls and they were very good. Their lion king had mango in it which was a sweet spin on the usual roll. The red rocket was crispy, the avalanche was my favorite and all the extra crab goodness was perfect to top the other rolls with. And runner up was the bing lake almanor roll. It was fresh and a good combo of flavors. The menu was very large with so many options: Sushi, Chinese, udon and ramen, bento boxes, classic America breakfast, salads, burgers, wings, steaks and lots more. Very amazing bistro!

Smashing. They actually have three menus American Chinese and Japanese. But with the name like Bing's I went Chinese. General Tao's Chicken combo. Order, drinks, and soup came out almost immediately. Not 10 minutes later, the order was at my table. The chicken is special it has some red peppers in there sauteed into the sauce so you're going to taste the heat. I love it. There's a huge portion here it's just hard to tell because the plate is so big but I could only take down half the rice and that's usually enough rice for three people. They refill the drink promptly and often, always checking to see if I needed something. The chicken is white meat whole pieces very nicely done. Highly recommend this meal. Stop by sometime and give them a shot. I took a picture of the peppers to show you how many they put in the dish (ref.)

We came for lunch and between the two of us we had the Spanish sushi roll (really good), edamame (good) and a combo lunch special. The combo had kung pao shrimp (the sauce had a perfect amount of heat), egg roll (average), cream cheese wonton (good), soup and chow mein (really good). Huge menu and good service!

Authentic Chinese and Japanese cuisine! The dishes are absolutely delicious. 😋The owner is generous and beautiful, and the chefs are all very friendly and kind.💖 They helped me a lot when I was alone in Chester. I miss everything there very much.🫶🏻

To eat lunch Two biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were soft and tasty. And when the gravy was paired with the sausage...it was almost heavenly. The service at the Bistro, was, as always spot on. The service was impressive, since I've been eating there, it has become my only place to eat. Ive never been disappointed. As far as im concerned, the price is somewhat low for the quality of food that you get. Its a mellow place. The service is great, the food is fantastic, people are smiling and eating tasty, well prepared dishes.

The food is great. The staff are great. The portions are large and the prices are excellent. We came back from Lassen National Park and they were closing. They still fed us. The owner said she can't let us leave in a small town hungry. You have to eat here if you are in Chester or nearby.

It replaced a diner that was here before so there is a diner vibe , but that doesn’t change the fact that there Chinese dishes are Fantastic and Fast! We got Chinese Sweet & Sour chicken, and chicken chow mien. Also the Japanese style Yakitori- skewered chicken (teriyaki) and the Happy Dog (sushi roll) with a large white rice. Everything was so good that we ordered a second of the sweet and sour chicken. The prices were just right to make everything taste even better, because all of that was on $81.00 which is a good value compared to a ton of other things that are more expensive in these beautiful mountain towns. Our server was great and they even have a separate area that is open to small dogs. The portions were large enough to be family style so we could share them. They had a really big diner style breakfast menu that may bring us back in for another visit on this trip. We will be coming here again for sure.

My husband and I went here this last Sunday and it was the best food I've had since we moved to Chester recently! We had the Calamari, Garlic Edimame, and Jalapeno Poppers and shared the avocado salad! It was all so amazing, cannot wait to go back. The avocado salad was so deelish..the dressing was awesome and the shredded crab on it made my mouth water. Service was insanely great! Definitely my new favorite place to eat

On a Sunday this is one of the few places that were open a little later (many places in the area close at 7p or earlier.) We had just driven up and got in kinda late so we ended up at Bing's. We were pleasantly surprised by the service and cleanliness of the restaurant. The food was delicious, and with generous servings. Some of the cons were that there were three different menus- which is a little daunting for the customer. The other thing is that the building itself is a little run down looking and the bathroom, although clean, has a smell to it. Would I come back? Absolutely.

She said they don't have that, I told her its on the menu and she responded by saying "OK OH MY GOD" with a attitude tone I told her if its ok I would like to order that. I arrived to the location and waited for my meal. I got back to my hotel open my bag and only had a couple peices of beef, not New York as stated and they did not add shrimp. I called the location to let them know that they left out the chicken and to tell them the beef pieces is not new York and 3 of the 5 prices is all fat. She told me that I had an attitude and said good bye. The service is bad, everyone looked irritated, the place looks very dirty and the back door was wide open next to the dumpster, very unsanitary. Take your else where folks were they'll appreciate your business and keep the food cooking area clean.
