I hadn't been to this Location in several years. The last time I visited, it looked like they were on the verge of getting closed down. Very shorthanded, the food was horrible. Nobody seemed to care. Now........a total 180° change. The place was clean, employees were busy everywhere. Restocking with fresh food and cleaning. And we had the best waitress EVER! Sylvia. She's an angel. She checked on us so many times I lost count . Always had a smile on her face. Even when another waitress bumped into her, they both laughed. And the food was great. Everything was at the right temperature. Hot food was hot and cold food was cold. We'll definitely be back but not too often. Buffet's and attempting to lose weight don't go well together. But I'm definitely impressed. Sorry I didn't include any pics this time. I was too busy eating. 😂. I'll do that on the next visit.

Excellent service even though it was Friday and the 1st of the month. It was very busy but the food was fresh and the atmosphere was really family oriented. Everyone was having a beautiful lunch. The line was long when we walked in but moved very fast and we got seated quick. The sever was very sweet and she was working really hard to help all the tables. I appreciate that kind of service. They had early 90s hip hop music playing which was a great vibe. They have high chairs for the little kids and plenty of space for them . They also have plenty of space for wheelchairs if needed. When I went to get my food they have plenty of plastic gloves available for everyone to use to keep everything fresh. I like that a lot to help not spread germs. Everything was really clean and all the hot trays were getting filled as fast as they emptied them. Definitely was a great opportunity to try a new location. I highly recommend this location.

Yeah, it's a buffet, but it is always tasty, and I especially enjoy weekend breakfast here. Get there about 10 to catch the breakfast items, then switch over to lunch around 10:30. Tasty food, lots of choices, and lovely baked goods

Let me start by saying it was an extremely long day for me so I decided to stop in and get my food to go. I was greeted by Mr. Sanchez who immediately made my day. He realized what I was requesting was not on the buffet and he went above and beyond the call of duty and said he would make the food himself! That's exactly what he did! When I arrived home I was able to plate everything for my family and can I just say the food was cooked to perfection! The whole family truly enjoyed it thanks to Mr. Sanchez! He made a hectic day turn into happy day! I DID NOT HAVE TO COOK! FAMILY FED I GOT TO KICK MY FEET UP AND RELAX! OH HAPPY DAY!

Variety is great at this Golden Corral. It is never over crowded, even on Sundays when it gets busy and the personnel here is very kind and always with the willingness to serve the customers. They have a large nice variety of meats, same for the salad bar, all of them very delicious. Loving the huge chocolate fountain in the dessert section. A bit expensive ($35 and sone for 2 adults and a child), but worth every penny.

By birthday was fire here.They accommodated 9 people and the lady servicing us was beautiful and welcoming.My family enjoyed our meals on a busy Sunday afternoon.They didn't rush us.Did you know the made me special cake for my birthday, tasty than wallmart cake.It was well baked.I didn't want to share but my son keep on asking for more and more.made me.happy knowing he like it more than walmart cake.The brought the cake with the crew singing happy birthday and my family friend did my decorations basket and ship to me on time.The cost for of food was within the budget Thanks for my mum paying them for us.While they sang happy birthday the whole room of people sang too and how amazing love spread to people you don't know whom celebrate my day.For future consult I am free to give you help to enjoy you day without stress.I almost forgot; the steak was tender and yummy with mash potatoes.I know you hungry now my friend,look for golden corral near you by googling on Google map: "golden corral near me". Absolutely amazing place. Been here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on both weekdays and weekends the last few weeks (on different occasions, not every meal). The food is always fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the fried chicken and pork chops during breakfast and lunch. For dinner, it's steak time. The best dessert is the banana pudding, with a small cup of cherry lime iced.

First, I would like to thank Golden Corral for excepting online orders 3 days before Christmas. Most places would've had a deadline to place orders at least a week before or even 2 weeks prior to Christmas. Second, the fact you were OPEN on Christmas day & we could pick up that day was incredibly convenient. Arriving the restaurant & seeing the parking lot full goes to show this has to be your busiest day of the year. That in itself displays the kindness & thoughtfulness of the company & employees for being available to your community. After seeing the traffic coming & going, you can tell being open was a blessing in itself to so many family's & some who were solo for Christmas. Thirdly, your employees all had joyful & welcoming faces for every customer who walked through the door. As I waited for my order, I got to see so much enthusiasm while helping every single customer, arriving & exiting, they were all greeted with a smile. Fourth, Armando (who I assume is the pickup/to-go mgr) was extremely pleasant & helpful. He called to let me know the ready time would be slightly delayed but not by much. Then called back again as a gesture of kindness to ask if using a pan instead of 3 separate qt. containers for one of the sides would be acceptable. I appreciated his will to extend a call to confirm because it helped minimize the amount of space used while serving at the dinner table. All my guest were impressed by the appearance, taste & budget for the portions I ordered. We had more than anticipated leftover & we all know leftovers are even better the next day! Thank you, from my family to yours for all the sacrifices & hard work you put into making your Holiday meals so special. You have made a NEW repeat Holiday meal customer for life, GC! I was notified my power was off due to a faulty product. This happen around the time for me to get off. Neighbors was hanging out like we had encounter a hurricane. My house was cool which made me think it was cooler outside to them. Not much longer my house had begin to warm up. Now im a little hunger, not a good combination. I could decide on what I was hunger for, so I decided on Golden Corral. Where I could get a little of this and a little bit of that. The place had alot of people there, the food and service was awesome. With the amount of people there I received good service from waiters Pablo, Kenyon and manager Chris. I spoke to me on the floor, he makes himself visibe, plus he's friendly. I really enjoyed myself. I ate fish, ham, steak and a salad. I had a desert too. Golden Corral also offer a senior discount, my meal was $16.?? plus my drink. That wasn't a bad price at all. I lost focus on my house, and made the best out of a situation i had no control over. I shift my focus "Let not my heart be troubled" I received a text saying the lights was on. By that time I had completed my meal. I live in the area so I didn't have long drive ! Thank you Golden Corral. I enjoyed your buffet and staff !!!!

The Store Manager, Armando, resolved an issue with a Thanksgiving order. He made things right with promptness and most of all EXCEPTIONAL Customer Service. I also saw him interacting with other customers and again, EXCEPTIONAL Customer Service. You cannot find many Store Managers in Restaurants nowadays who take care of customers as he did. This Golden Corral is a winner!!! Not all Golden Corrals and buffets are created equally. Many Golden Corrals just suck, but the 290 location does well for itself. I can’t explain why so many Golden Corrals can be terrible and some shine, I would think it would be the same at all locations, but it is not. I haven’t been to this location in over 20 years, when I came here as a poor college student with my parents. I remember back then thinking the food was really good. Since then I got an education, made more money and rarely visited Golden Corrals, but the other ones I went to in Houston, Galveston and Dallas were all just downright terrible. But I have always wondered about this place, where my memories due to my place in life at the time? A hungry poor college kid? I checked this place out after so many years and I was pleasantly surprised this location off 290 holds up to my memory! The food was fresh and tasty, from the vegetables, meats and desert. Everything felt like it was kept at proper temperature. And those sweet rolls are just as good as they were over 20 years ago! The restaurant was very clean and well kept and just the whole atmosphere hits the mark well of what is middle class American dining. Sure you’re never going to feel wealthy eating at any Golden Corral, but at least this location doesn’t give off a dirt poor low class vibe. It feels like a professional buisness cafeteria, and didn’t look excessively gaudy or tacky like some Asian buffets, and I liked that. The food may not be premium, but this food ranks among quality cafeteria food you would find at most college cafeterias or standard cruise lines. If you’ve eaten airplane food, then this better than that. It’s highly decent, tasty food. I also didn’t feel like I would get sick at this location, and that’s always important to me. So why are so many Golden Corrals terrible slop houses but this one off 290 an absolute gem? Who knows, why do fish swim and birds fly, let’s just enjoy this location for its greatness.

Every time I come here I get excellent service from SANTOS! ALWAYS refilling our cups when it gets low etc. I never had a problem with the food at Golden Corral. I would say it's a out average, but tasty. They have salad bar, meat section and desserts in one place. A good place for a quick bite without having to wait The price is good too!

Tried it out with my sister and she didn’t mind it that much. She didn’t love the fried chicken or the Mac and cheese but I LOVED the pot roast 😋 I didn’t try many items since I went back for seconds because it was so good! The bread putting was also pretty good. Prices are pretty good for an all you can eat. Would recommend coming and don’t forget to try that pot roast!

Absolutely incredible. I came with my family of 6 on 6/20/25 as we were moving to north houston and were in need of a decent meal. We got more than what we bargained for. Our waitress pily was great. The food was so good we came back today on a Sunday during their dinner buffet. It was so incredibly packed but the managers Armando and Chris were communicating and getting family's seated,fed, and out the doors! Im happy to say this is the first Golden Coral we have ever been too and because of these two outstanding visits with back to back superb service, food and customer service we will only come back here. On Sunday they had sirloin that was better than a steak house! How is that even possible. Also the cashier wendoly is a great worker and very efficient. Today my server was Mr.Santos and again no complaints. The only thing I came across that was not to my liking is the ranch was watery. But that's it. Literally everything we had was top tier. They even had filets of fried catfish with the tail and it really speaks to the variety they provide. I love nibbling on the crunchy tails and was thoroughly pleased. MR.Armando and team exceeded my expectations all while being pleasant, professional and handling a full house. See you guys soon. After I burn these calories!

This is a nice, family friendly restaurant. Everyone in my party was able to choose whatever they wanted (during the dinner hour). When we arrived, we wanted to sit at a booth, but we wanted room. The server was awesome! She came and helped us arrange the tables so that my party was accommodated. The food was also very flavorful and exceeded my expectations.

⭐ 4 out of 5 stars Visited on Sunday, July 20th in the evening. Elizabeth at the register was great—smart and thoughtful. I gave her $40 for a $23.04 bill and she gave back a $5 and $11 in ones—making sure I had cash to tip. That stood out to me! The salad bar was fresh and well stocked, and the dessert station looked clean and inviting. The restaurant was fairly clean overall, and the wait staff up front were friendly and helpful. That said, some plates were dirty, possibly due to a rinse aid issue or dish machine needing attention. I also saw fresh rice being added on top of old rice, which isn’t safe (FIFO should be followed). The meatloaf, chicken, and Spanish rice were dry and should’ve been swapped out. The middle station looked a bit messy, possibly short-staffed. Also noticed a drain issue in the men’s room, but the employee who handled it did a solid job—gloves on and handled professionally. I’ll be back—just maybe on a slower day. Staff looked happy and worked hard. Please address the dishwashing and food rotation issues. This review is meant to help, not criticize. Thanks!

Update 1/28/2023 breakfast buffet was ok no cereal or milk but i did see 2 riaches arouns the omelet area on the counter in 2 different places. Eww 🤮🤢Pot roast Salisbury steak 🥩 and 🍌 banana bread 🥪 pudding 🍰 is really good

The baked fish, popcorn shrimp and pot roast were really good. This is an easy meal outing for people with kids since they're sure to find something to eat. Pleasantly surprised by my visit. The last two times I had been to one of these it was terrible. I would actually come back to this location.

We visited for halloween and everyone was wearing a cute yet functional costume.... we got Ana as a server she is so delightful and cheerful 😊 it was truly sunshine on a cloudy day 💛. Coming in .... you are greeted by a wonderful lady as well and you pass through a corral-style line organizer. HOW TO: come in, pay (around $15 USD per person for lunch), choose a place to sit, grab a plate (they're located in front of the food stands) and choose wisely. FOOD: no steaks! Pork chops over cooked, pop corn shrimp and tilapia fish very small filet. Didn't eat more than one but enough to tell you... don't bother. The Brisket was sooo tender and the ribs! OMG they were just perfect. The mashed potatoes 🥔 were the boxed kind so not a fan. Salad station had sooo many options 😋 it was amazing with all the ranch dressing and Pico de Gallo you'd like. It's the basic salad options so nothing too fancy but they got it. 🍲SOUPS: they're too oily for my taste. The ones based on chicken or beef broth. The broccoli cheese soup, was amazing! 🍨 🥧 DESSERTS: I was truly excited for this one because it's Halloween and come on... it's a holiday dedicated to desserts. It was a mayor let down, most pies were can filled pies and then pumpkin one... well you could taste the tin on that one. Dried and tasteless crusts. It just didn't taste freshly made 😕 😪. Cookies and fudge were alright. Ice cream machine worked and it was OK. BAKERY: don't fill up on bread because that's defeating the purpose of stuffing yourself and beating the all you can eat system (LOL) 😋. The bread is freshly bakes, the smell is overpowering and the buttery taste is insane!

This restaurant at 290 hwy needs to have their restrooms remodel. The ladies restroom is nasty with toilet paper on the floor and the bathroom stalls doors need fixing. I know damn well the health inspector are not doing their job. These restroom been like this for years. So either the owner of this restaurant is paying the health inspector to over look these nasty broken down bathrooms. The paper towel dispenser and blower was not working. Someone need to do something about this restaurant not keeping the restrooms clean. The food is good but those restrooms are never kept up and toilets are broken. Fix your damn restrooms Golden Corral owner.

Golden Corral is good. It was easy to find, and there was plenty of parking. The in door is on the right. Pay first, at the register. No, they don’t charge a tip at the register. It’s a buffet, so just get the buffet. Seniors get a dollar discount. So it’s $10.99 for seniors, which included a drink (coke). We went at 2:30? in the afternoon. There was plenty of food, and a good amount of people at that time. But, it wasn’t crowded, just popular. Yes. It was good! It’s a family place, but I did notice, the customers were on the older side. We left a $2 tip for the lady that brought us drinks. If you want more, just get another plate.

Everything Except For The Rice, Roast, Casserole, Rolls & Marinated Tomatoes Were Disgusting. Salad Tatse Dirty, Especially Coleslaw; in fact all the Vegetables except the corn. Looks Good But Dry & Bland.

smells bad, but lots of variety when it comes to food options. the restrooms are stinky. the service is average. food taste is adequate. the price is okay just the restaurant atmosphere is disappointing. they need to invest some money into this location and upgrade it.

To be honest, the food was a little old, but we did get there in the afternoon. This was not the usual location that I go to, so I may be a bit jaded. However, the service was stellar as usual and I bought two banana nut loads that were delectable!

The food wasn't that good and it wasn't a lot of options I went twice once for lunch and then Saturday breakfast I won't recommend anyone go there the food was cold the food didn't have a lot of taste it wasn't a lot of choices for kids food some items was bland some items with salty it took the waiter a very long time to come and serve us our drinks/ refills

I have been there a few times for dinner the parking lot is very dark and they have no security, so I being broken in to my car twice and burglarize from all of my belongings among them my laptops, when notified the management they simply said call the police we're not responsible for what happened outside. Calling the police would not really solve anything and they are not taking matters in to the subject as they should and I know there has to be more victims, they're just simply don't care!!!....(More light outside and a securyte at list during the weekend) I'll never go back!!!....

Well I tell you guys what! So like, 10 minutes Ardmore after we arrived and got our food, our waitress still hadn't made it to our table! We sat down with no silverware, no water nor our drinks being delivered to the table. Actually we had to get up and go talk to the lady at the register to get plastic work so we can eat. We also had to find a waitress to let them know that we had no water or our drinks weren't on the table. Then the waitress got mad at us for asking her to do these things that are normally done and she gave us some really ugly looks that why are you bothering me? The service was horrible! Absolutely horrible. Then after we finished our first plate, the waitress still didn't come to our table to remove our old plates so we could put our new plates there. However we did talk to the manager and he gave us his dearest apologies and said he will look into the matter and it won't happen again. Speaking of something won't happen again, we're probably not going to be in Houston for another year again or so? We were there for the day after Thanksgiving to get something to eat, and the service was absolutely horrible!

Right when walking in I was hit with a very disturbing smell… I literally started gagging. I wanted to still give it the benefit of the doubt , since I loved this place as a kid. I was told that we needed to find our seating ourselves , which would be fine but there were only a couple open tables which were dirty. The plates were unsanitary. While I was looking for a clean plate a server came over with an attitude telling me I wasn’t allowed to do that. I ended up cleaning my plate with a lemon slice and salt ….. The food was mediocre and met the expectations I had set for a buffet standard. I would most likely say skip this location.

Dirty! Sticky surfaces, soiled carpet, overall lack of cleaning and maintenance. I can see why these franchises are going bankrupt and closing. You have to reinvest to keep your business going. Clean, maintain and remodel guys. Can't just keep spending all the profit.

This was my first time ever being in a Golden Corral. I've heard many stories of this fabled place and decided I should go at least once in my life. Turns out that's as many times I will go haha. Lets start with the good. There is a great variety of food, especially at this location. None of the food was excessively salty. The service was on spot on and all of the staff from the cashier to the people in the kitchen respectful, friendly, and very likeable. My favorite dishes here were the bread pudding, taco meat, smoked pulled pork, skillet potatoes, and chicken soup. Now for the bad. I got a diet coke and my glass was dirty and the diet coke tasted funny. I told the server and he immediately replaced it. He gave me another diet coke in a to go cup (points for that) but it still tasted funny. There was a certain sourness to it and I can only speculate that the drink machine needed a deep cleaning. Though there is a great variety of food most of it is bland or unappetizing. Some things were excessively greasy and others tasted stale. Most of their desserts tasted like cheap box ingredients. I practically sampled their whole line and really only liked about 5 things. I wouldn't return to this chain since I can get a higher quality buffer for about the same price at Dimassi's. I can finally scratch off Golden Corral off my bucket list at least :D

This was dinner on veterans Day and they started by telling the veterans that the time was wrong and that they had to show up again if after 4:00 p.m. . The food was very very sparse as far as selection and the taste was not all that good. Won't go back

While I really appreciate The effort to to put on a Veterans day buffet, my experience was horrible. When I got inside it was packed elbow to elbow. The closest I got to any food was about five feet. As soon as anything foodlike was placed on the buffet it was gone within seconds. I could not find an open seat and I started to PTSD a bit and I had to run out of there. How about next year, you have a voucher for those who can't be around large noisy crowds? I could sneak in on a Tuesday and sit by myself.....

Opens at 8am Sunday, arrived at 8:15am. Got 2 plates of food and half of the items were cold. How early did they put the food out. Asked for salsa but was told by the food line server that she was going to eat her breakfast and will bring it to me afterwards. Really? 30 mins now and no sign of her or the salsa. Im to assume its best to not arrive before 9am because thats when I finally started seeing servers come back from their dining area. Disappointed mostly by the cold tamales, sausage, and hash browns. I understand them waiting to take a break for a quick but maybe would be best to put covers on food line items to retain some heat because the heat lamps can only do so much. Waitress was attentive but it appears that she was the only one attending to the 15 other tables that were seated same time that I was. Will revisit again, hopefully better next time.

This is the worst I’ve ever have in this restaurant the cook was rude and racist I had gone up and I asked for a well done stake I was waiting for it and then some white people came and he gave them the stake and the cook told me to go sit down and wait 20 more minutes I complained to the manager Christian and he was no help saying that the other people were here more time than I have even tho I was in line first and waiting

I took my son here on a Friday night for his birthday and the food was awful. Most of it was flavorless, which was a huge disappointment. He loves Golden Corral, but after this, I won't be returning. Upon entry, there was a waitress off to the side laughing w.some sort of family or friend who was not a customer and had stopped by as if she wasn't at work. This happened again w.a different person stopping by before I left. I can't say she did much work at all that night. The cashier also seemed to be distracted and couldn't focus on my drink order even though there was no one else in line. When I entered, there was a Hispanic man w.a red cooler coming in behind me. I was concerned as to what he could possibly be bringing into a restaurant in a cooler. He walked past the cashier and a few workers met him and purchased some slices of cake from him. This appears to be typical. I continued to find a table, and after the waitress brought my initial drink, I never received a refill or saw her again until I needed a spoon. I asked 3 waitresses and the cashier for a spoon so that my son could eat his dessert, and there were NO containers to be found in any of the designated areas. I finally stood by the kitchen waiting for someone to help and my waitress came up to me and hurried me to a back table where they were all laid on a towel (i assume for drying) and handed me one. I asked if I could have more tea and she asked if my son wanted more as well...I would assume so...this location did not have any of the desserts his favorite location had (choc covered strawberries, brownie, swirl ice cream, choc covered marshmallows, sprinkles) and he was pretty disappointed about it. The waitress took the plate i was still eating when she brought our drinks. That was when I decided it was time to go. My experience was so awful, I wanted to tell the family in the parking lot to save their money. $30 wasted and i was still hungry. Never again.

I will never come to this Golden corral this was the worst experience I had they refuse to give me steak until a crowd of people came in and I saw the lady just cooking steak she refused to reply back to me I will never eat at this location again I was very dissatisfied.

I'm 63 and not really a big eater anymore. However I love Golden Corral because of the variety and extensive options. I also appreciate their Senior's pricing and perks. Since I am a creature of habit, I eat at GC a minimum of 3 times a week and sometimes 4 or 5 times. Today(10/03/2025) I was at Willowbrook mall and needed to go downtown. So I drove 20+ minutes to this location for lunch. I was actually closer to the one on the North frwy where I usually go, but it was in the opposite direction. I've been to this location a few times and it's hit or miss. Today I unfortunately ended up with the same server I had on my last visit and that visit was terrible, but I still tipped him anyway. When I chose a table there were no servers present in that section. I put my receipt on the table for my drinks( sweet tea & water) and went to get my food.It took awhile for me to get my food because the tortillas were hard and old and it took several minutes for me to flag down somebody to help me and heat me some fresh tortillas(I had to ask 3 people). It didn't help that nobody spoke English and my Spanish is not very good. While I was waiting for my food I was very thirsty and kept glancing at my table to see if anyone had brought my tea. I finally got my food situated and got to my table at the same time as the server(the guy I had on my previous visit) was bringing me water. I wasn't timing this, but at least 10 to 15 minutes had elapsed. I asked him where was my tea and he said I didn't order tea. Since I knew I had ordered tea and then asked for water 2nd I insisted I had ordered tea and it was on the drink ticket. I think it ticked him off that I was right and he eventually brought me my tea. That was the last I saw of him until the confrontation. Since I was thirsty I drank the tea quickly. He was nowhere to be found. So I saw another server at the drink station and I got up and got a refill from her. During the course of eating he was continually helping other customers, but didn't once asked me if I needed anything. I ran out of tea and water and he was in the adjacent private dining area with 2 other servers just goofing off and talking. He came out looked over the section, I was holding up my empty drink glass, and he ignored me and went back to the empty dining room to talk with the other servers. So I got up went to the drink station to get my own refill. He saw me when I passed the door to the dining room. He came just as I was refilling my glass and yelled at me "you can't get your own drink you should have flagged me down." To which I replied "How can I flag you down when you haven't come near my table." Then he yelled something I couldn't understand and then I lost my temper. I told him he was a worthless server, a rude employee and a few other choice non-vulgar adjectives. At this point I was seeing red and asked for a manager. But I was told he was busy. So I had to walk around the restaurant looking for him myself. He was refilling water in the steam table.(I guess they don't have employees for that...smh) At first he didn't seem overly concerned about my issue with his server. But I told him I was very upset and if he didn't resolve this problem I was not going to just go away. When he couldn't shoo-shoo me away he realized I was seriously upset and tried to smooth it over. He offered me a weak apology and told me he would talk to the employee and take care of it. I went back to my table and cold food still mad as hades. That same server was running around his section with a smirk on his face and the manager never said a word to him. So I went to the register and asked for a refund. She said I had to talk to the manager. After several minutes he finally came up and said he had just finished talking to the server. I told him I was too mad and upset to eat and just wanted my money back. He offered me a free meal on a future visit and I told him. I just wanted my money back. Doubt I ever come back to this place ever again.

Had a 4 year old that needed cheering up. He wanted pizza and fries, so we figured Golden Corral would give him what he wants. I now understand why buffets are going out of business. The food was not satisfying at all. Very flavorless and I'm sure it was not being served at the correct temperature. The steak was non existent and when we did get some no flavor and improperly cooked, very tough. The bathrooms were not clean and the left dining room has an odor. The employees are rude and not service orientated. Had issues getting initial drink order and refills. We spent $100 and regretted it. Could've had pizza and the kids would have been happier.

Terrible service . Disgusting carpet , food and paper all over the place. The food was ok . I didn’t have any meat. It looked questionable. The dessert was blah . The waitress never came around until we got up to leave. Very low class atmosphere. This place has gone straight down the toilet 🚽

I do not recommend this location. I went to this location recently and they gave me, my wife, and my daughter undercooked chicken. I showed the Manager on duty the chicken and she said “Im sorry about that “ and walked off. The head cook over the kitchen gave me ONE free Buffett ticket for us to come back but we can only visit that location only. I would never go back there and don’t recommend it. I ended up sick for a week from Food Poisoning, a clinic confirmed. This place should be shut down and a Health Inspector should investigate this location.

Walking in, we were greeted in Spanish. Since we do not speak Spanish, it left us confused right from the start. As we made our way through the dining area, staff members were bulldozing their way past us and other guests without saying “excuse me” or showing basic courtesy. During our meal, our beverages ran out. Our server Jing, who was absolutely amazing the entire time, politely suggested we ask another server to refill our drinks, since her hands were full. Unfortunately, two servers who were standing in front of the beverage machine and not doing anything told us “no.” Because of that, we ended up filling our own drinks. This is unacceptable. If an inspector like Ecosure had been present, this would have been an automatic fail. Guests should never have to go behind the counter, as it is unsanitary, inconvenient for customers, and disruptive to employees trying to do their jobs. There is a reason this establishment has servers. I asked to speak with the manager, and Chris did a great job of making me feel heard. He assured me he would address customer service, job policies, and procedures with the employees involved. While our server Jing and Manager Chris were excellent, the overall customer service from other staff members left much to be desired.

Came out and tried to select a plate but there was food all over the plates on the buffet line. Absolutely disgusting. Summoned the manager and got an immediate refund. Left a message for the City of Houston health department to call me during business hours on Monday. Hopefully they come out and shut this place down. Either their dishwasher is not working or they don't care. Would leave minus twenty stars if I could, and will never set foot in this place again, and will tell all my friends about this revolting establishment

I am a senior citizen and I came in with my husband to got some food to go. As we were in front of the meat station I ordered a steak as I was deciding to get ham a noticed a roach crawling from behind it. I watched the roach while my husband went to get the manager as the manager saw the roach. He grabbed a napkin, squished it and went to the back, never bother coming back to check on me and my husband. I didn’t really want anything for free just a simple apology and I couldn’t even get that. I love coming here but after this experience, I will never be back again. Besides $40 is a lot of money nowadays the lady behind the counter after telling me how much it was I expressed to her. It should’ve been at least discounted not even a simple apology. The male manager never even came back out.

Glad you asked! We had a group of about 60 or so. The meats were pretty well seasoned. Most of the sides had no seasoning. As our visit came to an end and more than half of us were gone, the manager on duty came out and began to ask us to show receipts.😱 Really?!?😖 When they turned on/the ac "stuff" came out of the vents & into the food. I lost my appetite. The event was planned. They knew we were coming well in advance. ... and we all gave a tip...confused as to why he asked for receipts at the very last minute. He had racial undertones👎

I usually love this store because they go above and beyond, follow instructions well, and give nice portions. But today I was highly disappointed. I called and asked if they could put hot sauce in the bag and the lady hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak to the manager who seemed like she did not want to be at work today. I asked her if she could add hot sauce and she said she would. There was no hot sauce whatsoever. Also the "steamed broccoli" is hard and is undercooked. I'm hoping they do better next time because I really liked this restaurant at first.

DO NOT SCHEDULE THE PARTY ROOM . On April 12, I paid a fee to secure the party room for my mother's 88th Birthday. It was a DISASTER. It is not a party room, it is a daycare where staff take their children to eat and watch videos, a staff break room and a workroom where staff prepare eating utensils. Our initial host was changed to a host with no experience who stood in the back of the room yelling "Does anyone need anything", which we found rather offensive. The service went from bad to worse, as the plates began to stack up on the tables and we could not serve the birthday cake. I complained to the manager, and we finally received two experienced hosts, Keion and Whitney, who were professional and provided excellent service. However, the employees were still coming in the room on their phones and children still bring food in the room. I do not know why a paid a fee when we would have received better service just sitting outside of the party room at a table with a regular host. I would like to personally thank Keion, who provided assistance throughout the day. He tried really hard to correct some of the issues. My suggestion is to keep your cash in your pocket and just eat at a regular table, it's FREE, you will have a host, without the disruptions or STRESS !!!

I stopped in at 11:05. Table staff was very attentive and friendly. However, food was cold. Catfish, soggy. Salisbury steak, cold. BBQ chicken, cold. There was a nice ham just waiting to be had. No one around to slice it. Very disappointed in the quality of the food.

I moved to Houston 14 years ago and I Always wanted to try this place . Today I went , what a mistake . I arrived at 4:00 thinking that I will be paying $15+ for a good steak and meal … we paid for 4 people almost $70 By entering you can see how filthy that carpet is … greasy , oily . The smell is a bit disgusting honestly . Food time: we wasn’t welcomed they are some girls in the front that of course are doing their job as a cashier because they don’t act like nothing else . We couldn’t find the plates quick , plates are in one side and the buffet in another side . Food looked sad and generic , not hot at all ( -and we arrived at 4 to make sure that the food was fresh) . It’s many food residue for other food on top of each other . Chicken dry and cold We went to eat meat , but it’s just cheap sausage and pork … pork it’s cheap and low quality meat ..so I don’t eat it The only “meat “ they had , was a chewy “steak “ I told the cooker medium and he has to ask me 3 tiene showing me the meat because he didn’t know what’s “medium “ so I ended eating a “medium rare “ food at the end was placed in the trash it was literally disgusting , they have SO MANY flies inside the place and one of them landed on my salad . No one was happy in our table . I must to say people inside that place trashy as the place itself . A woman was literally beating her 3 kids that were screaming nok stop and running around like wild animals … this is exactly what this place attract because they don’t have rules for their visitors. A witnessed a lot of crossed food contamination . Cold food , oh ! The pie was frozen ! The ice cream is water literally and they don’t even have disposable forks ms spoon for the dessert you must eat the dessert with the same dirty fork that you ate salad and other food . I went to the restroom, and the smell is awful .. 4 toilets , 2 of them urinated and the other other fecal matter oN it .. toilet paper on the floor and a disgusting smell that I wanted to vomit . This place is by far the worst food buffet I ever been (and I go to eat everywhere ) . I will never understand how a Bussines can run on filth? They make good money to have well clean looking employees and clean installations . Highly NOT recommended

My the favorite items on the steam table were not even hot. The pot roast was barely lukewarm, the rolls were cold and hard and my fav peach cobbler was cold. I remember when the server would bring out fresh hot rolls to your table. Someone who works there sent me an email about getting in touch with me to discuss this unpleasant visit, but never called.

Today, I went with a group of senior citizens to celebrate several birthdays. Imagine the horror that I felt when I saw a bug on my piece of cake. When I asked for the manager, I was yelled at by several employees and told that the manager was too busy to speak with me. Finally after about 10 minutes, someone walked up to me stating that he was the manager, he offered no apology but asked what was the problem. When I showed him the cake with the insect, he asked me what did I want him to do. He stated that he would remove the cake and place another cake on the serving line. I asked for a refund. This wasn't an option.

My honest review in this restaurant I first walked in the service was bad. The restroom was dirty when I walked in toilet paper in the hallways. Then I sit down with my family and eat and we were joking about the drinks refilling and she got pressed very easily her name was yizel my uncle was joking with us and she got herself involved in this conversation she needs to mind her own business she was rude and unprofessional and , and the manager with the peluca (wig) was also very rude. IS ALSO VERY HOT IN THERE . But the food was delicious.

From the moment I walked in, I had feeling this would be an underwhelming experience. The cleaning closet was left open, and you could see chemicals and other items strung about. The buffet selection was decent, but other locations have better options. The ice cream machine needed to be filled, but they didn't want to bother with it, and our waitress Claudia was terrible. She helped other tables, but my water was empty before I was able to flag her down for a refill. The chicken was hard as a rock, the cakes were dried out, and you could tell since it was end of the night they didn't want to replenish anything. The ladies' restrooms were disgusting when I arrived to wash my hands, and when I left, they still hadn't been attended to. Lots of items on the buffet were empty, and no one was keeping the line clean. I wouldn't try this location again. The Rosenberg location is 100 times better.
