Lucia's is always a favorite! Service is impeccable(thank you Jared) and atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing! I had a filet, it was cooked to perfection! You can't go wrong with any meal! Lobster linguini and Jambalaya pasta are 2 of my favorites! Last, but certainly not least, book your reservation around sunset! Beautiful views of the sunset on Lake Erie!
Went here for dinner with my cousins. Im not a drinker but they did have nice selection of wines and cocktails for my family. The menu is smaller but the food we did have was outstanding. I highly recommend the French onion soup and stuffed peppers. The atmosphere is a tad loud but that cannot be helped as the resturant and bar are busy. Our server was very attentive and friendly.
My husband and I visited Lucia's for the first time to celebrate our 16th anniversary. Walking in the restaurant was bright and full of light from the windows. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and were seated immediately (we had a reservation). I ordered the lemon drop martini which was refreshing and easily the best lemon martini I've ever had. My husband, looking for a dry red wine, ordered a glass of the driest red, at the recommendation of the server, which he said was delicious. He ordered the Tomahawk steak which he loved and said was perfectly cooked. I got the blackened chicken risotto. This may have been one of my favorite dishes I've ordered in a restaurant - I'm still thinking about it a day later. I highly recommend Lucia's for great service and an amazing meal.
My husband and I went for dinner for our 3rd wedding anniversary / our 10 years of being together. The food, the service, the everything was amazing!!! The restaurant dining area is a little tight, but it's so work the experience!!! We had a bottle of wine, the bang bang shrimp, the salmon, the tomahawk steak, and dessert!!! As a chef, I was absolutely blown away with how amazing the food was!!! Fresh, delicious, 10/10!!
Food was amazing! Steaks were so good and tender, the desserts hit the spot. Loved the service and atmosphere. Definitely will be going back
I just dined at my new favorite restaurant in Hamburg, NY… okay, let’s call it up state NY. As the name of the restaurant suggests, it’s on the lake. I was there on an overcast day and I could still appreciate the view. We had a reservation for our party of four. As soon as we walked in we were seated. This evening our waiter was Jarred. He knows his business. His description of the evenings specials made you want to order them all. We tried three and were not let down. Absolutely Delicious. Very generous wine and cocktail list. We had two bottles of the Paraduxx Proprietary Red Blend. Beautiful. Finally, the pace of the overall evening was perfect. Jarred made sure that the appetizer was finished. He then asked if we were ready before plating the main entrees. Nicely done.
The hype is real. First time we went for our anniversary. Fancy vibes Great service. Great cocktails. Menu is great. Options for all. I almost went waygu bc I don’t do out to too many places that offer it. Guess I need to get out more. Anyways. Got the stuffed pepper with egg and a meatball. The peppers were great. Nice and hot too. The fried egg with runny yolk was a nice flavor enhancer. The bang bang shrimp were awesome. Ceaser salads were tasty. The main course. Lobster ravioli was dynamite. The tomahawk ribeye was great. Cooked exactly how I wanted it. This is a fantastic spot. Deserts… key lime pie was 💣 the limoncello ricotta cake also very good. Everything was delightful. Definitely will go back
Hands down one of the best Dining Experiences I've ever had! Our waiter was Fantastic! He knew the menu inside and out! The food was Fantastic and spot on with flavor and depth! Atmosphere was Amazing! Watched a Great sunset over the ice and water! 👌🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Service was excellent as we had a very nice table in the main dining room. The place was packed on a Friday night and I was hoping we did not get one of the tables near the bar as it was quite crowded. Overall, the food and drink was excellent. I went with the A5 Japanese Wagyu fillet, and I’m not sure it was worth the price, but I wanted to go for it and it was very unique. I had a great crust and flavor with an almost spongy texture. Scallops and calamari were both excellent. The commentary itself was very good. I might not do the bang bang sauce next time as it was a little rich considering the giant portion size. The side of brussels sprouts was a bit over torched but overall highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back.
Lucia’s on the Lake in Hamburg, NY never disappoints. I had the 9 oz strip steak with scallops—perfectly cooked and full of flavor—while my wife enjoyed the filet, which was tender and expertly prepared. Our waiter, Jared, delivered exceptional service with professionalism and energy that elevated the entire experience. The atmosphere was electric, with a perfect blend of upscale charm and welcoming warmth. Every visit to Lucia’s reminds us why it’s one of our favorites. The food is consistently outstanding, the service is top-tier, and the views complete the experience. Highly recommend.
Lived up to the hype. Food was excellent, service was exceptional, and the view was perfect. Can't recommend the wagyu streak and the cheesecake enough!
Nothing short of AMAZING! Our engagement dinner was perfect! Staff is so very pleasant and on top of their game! The meals were delicious with great presentation...hats off to the chef and kitchen staff! Our evening was made so special given all this restaurant had to offer! HIGHLY recommend!!! Don't wait...Reserve in advance, as this establishment is in high demand given their overall quality and fabulous food!
Top notch service in an upscale restaurant with a nice lake view. Lucia's has homemade taste with generous portions and a great set of cocktails and cocktails to boot
Incredible! Jared our server was phenomenal! I had questions about gluten free options and he was able to let us know all that was available and very attentive to that need. He was extremely friendly and pleasant to talk to! He took great care of us tonight for our early Valentine's dinner! The cocktails & food were all amazing! The bang bang shrimp for an appetizer is a must!
we had the most amazing experience here and we do everytime. it’s so consistent. the service was great and the food was even better.
It's clear to see why Lucia's on The Lake has received not only local but national recognition as one the best restaurants in Buffalo! I have been fortunate to dine here on several occasions, and it never disappoints! Lucia's does a great job blending fine dining in a casual atmosphere. The staff members are very pleasant, not pretentious. The food is top quality! They have lots of wonderful options to choose from ranging from high-quality seafood to premium cuts of meat and everything in between! I also enjoyed their creative cocktails, especially their signature lemon drop! I highly recommend making a reservation well in advance. They book to capacity on most nights....this restaurant is worth the wait!
We really enjoyed our anniversary dinner. Everything was super delicious. We especially loved the Mediterranean sampler we got for our appetizer. Also I’m still dreaming of that risotto that came with my chicken. My husband’s meal was also delicious and we enjoyed the dessert. Service and food were outstanding.
We had such a great night celebrating my babies 1 year anniversary and celebrating my 1 year's anniversary for have a daughter. Staff was warm and friendly and upbeat. Our waitress Charlene was so sweet and catered to our needs. The food tasty and delicious . The crab fettuccine was so on point and the salmon hands-down was the best salmon I ever had . It was also special to see a table of Buffalo Bills football players
This place is amazing but also very expensive. Their appetizers were truly delicious. Their bang bang shrimp is unreal a must have. The steak and lobster tail were the best I’ve ever had. I had the tomahawk steak. And the peanut butter pie was one of a kind. I highly recommend trying this place at least once.
My boyfriend and I have been to Lucia's three times over the last couple of years and have never had an experience short of excellent. Two out of the three times we have had John A as our server, and both times he was very accommodating with my boyfriend's allergy, as well as just being a knowledgeable server all around. The food here is very good (I'm a sucker for the halibut) and the drinks are well made. Reservations can be hard to come by but they are worth the wait every time!
Wow, firstly I’d like to say that I was so excited for these reservations as I was celebrating my birthday, and originally was going to cancel because my partner could not make it. But my friend convinced me not to, and I’m glad she did. We were seated at a table facing the water, and then greeted by such an incredible wait staff. We had the bang bang shrimp (at the recommendation of a friend), the calamari and the tobacco onions to start. The portions are so large we sort of laughed as we were 2 girls just having dinner. We ordered the 18oz Strip and the Jambalaya Pasta for our entrees and it was even MORE food than we could have imagined. For the price point this place a true treasure, and the reservation books being full is a clear indictation of just that.
We have dined in many places in western NY. This was our 3rd time here; celebrating our 26th yr anniversary. And Lucia's did not disappoint. From appetizer to dessert everything was phenomenal. Kait who made our evening even better was attentive to our dining needs and made us feel like we were enjoying a meal with family. Hats off to Kait ,the Chef, bartender(Orange Bourban Smash)] and the entire staff. Cant wait for our next visit.
I love it there.Food is great.People are great. 10 out of 10
My daughter treated me to a wonderful delicious dinner. Reverations were two months to get a table and was well worth the wait. Will never forget it. The view was beautiful on the lake. The food was incredible. Our waitress was so nice and helpful. Place was very clean and elegant. Will be back.
Exceeded my expectations. Absolutely amazing service, and the food? To die for! Everything from start to finish was superb. My husband ahead of time even called the restaurant and had them put a cute lil note on our table🥰. I can not WAIT to come here again. My new favorite 😍. I got the short rib, literally fell off the bone! And he got the tomahawk steak, HUGE. We also got a side of tobacco onions, which was a massive side as well, it tastes like onion ring chips 😋. Once again amazing, incredible, beyond perfect. ALL OF IT 🙌🏼
It was our first time there, but it won't be our last! We had a wonderful dining experience, our server John is top notch, very personable and answered all of our questions, his knowledge on the menu is on point! And a lovely person. We'll be making our reservations for our next visit soon! Those oysters were the best I've ever had! Thank you for making my fiancée birthday dinner such a wonderful experience, he absolutely loved the salted caramel pie! Omg amazing! Jay the owner was very friendly and personable as well! Thank you for lovely dining experience, we'll be back!
Had a fantastic five star dining experience here on July 17th. The vibe inside is welcoming and relaxed, with a beautiful lakeside view through large picture windows. Attentive staff and perfectly prepared food and drinks! What else can you ask for?
While the food and experience were great the star of the show was our server, Thomas. He was incredible with his recommendations, humor and care for our table. We came for my friend’s birthday and he was as accommodating as can be. A true gem of a person! I’ve been to Michelin-starred restaurants and haven’t had servers like him. I hope he goes far in the world!
Solid 3 course meal and local wines. Scallops cooked perfectly. Risotto was well seasoned. Cocktail shrimp was not well cleaned but, well presented. We will return. The service dare I say was perfect. Haven't given a triple digit tip in over 10 years. Thomas and the rest of the front of the house staff were completely on point.
The food was amazing. The atmosphere was elegant. Our server was attentive, she definitely kept the drinks flowing and the good times rolling.
We went to Lucia’s for the first time tonight to celebrate our wedding anniversary. John was our server. He was so professional and friendly! Our food was out of this world. My husband had the lobster ravioli and I had the 18 oz sirloin— we both agreed this was the best food we’ve had out! At the end of dinner we were so stuffed but decided to try the pecan caramel cheesecake. Wow. Absolutely phenomenal. We will be back to celebrate other special occasions or just for some good food and service! Thank you!
Came here to celebrate my mom’s birthday and everything was lovely. Food is insane, dessert menu is diverse, and staff is so attentive/kind. I can’t begin to describe how well done all of the food was. Phenomenal.
We were served by general manager Jared, who gave great recommendations. I had the Alaskan Halibut special which was great. The bang bang shrimp, oysters, and chopped salad were great starters. Finished it off with the salted caramel chocolate pie. Will definitely be going back.
As a food snob who lives in LA and spent years in NYC I can say this place makes great food. Their cook on the steaks we ordered were perfect. Everything we ordered tasted great. Loved the stuffed banana peppers.
Outstanding food and service. Ask for Jared. He was the best at his job. He was made for it and I worked in restaurants for 30 years. Ask for him. Perfect. Scallops were the best I ever had. Blown away by this place. Crab risotto was unbelievably good too. And the pecan caramel cheesecake was not only large but scrumptious. Wort the wait for a reservation.
My wife and I had one of the best dining experiences ever last night. We’ve been to Lucia’s previously and if you’re not aware, it’s best to make reservations well in advance when you want to go. Anticipating our 32nd wedding anniversary, we tried to make reservations weeks in advance but nothing was available on Open Table however the stars aligned yesterday afternoon! Thankfully, we selected the notify me option and a spot opened last night!! When we checked in, we were warmly greeted by Jill with Happy Anniversary”! We arrived early to enjoy a cocktail at the outside bar. My wife had a lemon martini followed by a French 75. I had an Eagle Rare Old Fashioned. All perfectly crafted by highly attentive bar tenders. When we went to our table, not only did the person who seated us but the busser & server all acknowledged it was our anniversary! For dinner, we had crab risotto and lobster ravioli, both topped with an 8 oz perfectly grilled filet. An abundance of crab and lobster meat on both dishes. Thomas, our server, was extremely articulate, highly knowledgeable of each dish, their preparation and made excellent suggestions. He made the evening a delight! Lastly, we had creme brûlée for dessert! I can’t say enough, Lucia’s is a first class dining experience, top to bottom!! Kudos to the entire staff!!
Lucia's is simply the best ! I had the cowboy ribeye last night and it was cooked to perfection. The staff is awesome, very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The atmosphere is up beat and outstanding. Couldn't ask for a better place to go to dinner, you always know you're going to get excellence when dinning there. Can't wait to come back again.
Food was AMAZING! I went for early dinner @ 4:15pm on 2/6/26 w/ friend table of 4. I mentioned to the waitress i have CELIAC DISEASE & she was GREAT knowledgeable of what was GLUTEN FREE mentioned. Got the crab risotto & chocolate flourless cake was OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious! For my GLUTEN FREE friends she mention GLUTEN FREE options are: 1. CRAB RISOTTO 2. STEAKS - FILET/PRIME/NY STRIP/TOMAHAWK 3. CAN SUB GF PASTA for the LOBSTER LINGUINI pasta dish 5. SCALLOPS 6. CHOCOLATE FLOURLESS CAKE 7. PEANUT BUTTER OREO PIE - she DID MENTIONED MADE w/ GF OREOS Keep in mind she did mention NOT GLUTEN FREE: 1.SHORT RIBS/SHORT RIB PAPPARDELLE - marinated in SOY SAUCE (WHEAT) 2. BRAISED PORK SHANK 3. CHICKEN CARBONARA/CHICKEN CUTLET SANDWICH - WHEAT FLOUR 4. LOBSTER RAVIOLI - WHEAT PASTA and many others. Just AMAZING FOOD, STAFF, & WILL BE BACK!" 100 stars!
I was expecting an up-tight bougie place but was pleasantly blown away by the down to earth, friendly but still classy atmosphere. We took our 3 year old toddler here for her birthday as she has been into seafood. Of course she didn’t want seafood tonight haha. Luckily everything was delicious! My husband had brought us leftovers from Lucia’s before and even that was delicious! So we knew fresh food wouldn’t disappoint. My daughter INSISTED that the staff sing her happy birthday. Even when nice guests from another table wanted to sing for her, she refused. Luckily Ms K was very nice and came over to sing to her. Ms J also came over later to sing again. Our waiter J was also wonderful. You can bet that we will be back for the delicious food, esp the cheesecake! We ate half of one there and ordered three to go — one for ourselves and two for our friends lol Thank you for being such a family friendly place. The guests were also so kind to our little girl. We appreciate it!
This was my first time dining here ever, which is wild considering I’ve lived in Hamburg almost my whole life—I must have been living under a rock! We had a later reservation, so the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting when we arrived. The staff was friendly right from the moment we walked in, and I noticed the owner actively overseeing the restaurant, which I think is so important in the food service industry. It really shows care for both the staff and the business. Our server, Jared, was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. We started with the French onion soup and it was AMAZING—made with Gruyère instead of the usual provolone or Havarti, which made all the difference. The cheese pull was unreal! The bread with the dip sampler was also a great touch—super cute and delicious. I ordered the blackberry St. Germain cocktail and it was just as impressive. For my entrée, it was hard to choose because everything sounded so good, but I went with the lobster truffle ravioli and added three scallops with the pomegranate glaze. Every bite was spectacular. Overall, an incredible experience—I will definitely be back!
Too loud. Took a long time to get the meals. Granted though, it was extremely busy and our waitress comped us with dessert. Filet mignon was cooked perfectly.
Provided a great experience .food was great staff were njce and attentive.highly recommend
Living in buffalo all you hear about is Lucia’s on the lake as one of the best places to eat . Well then people might start researching more and asking people who actually enjoy going out and enjoying great food because I was not impressed at this price point . First off I waited 3 months for a reservation witch is insane to me this isn’t Vegas. I’m just a city boy trying to enjoy some amazing food . Started off at the beginning with a bad experience sitting waiting 20 minutes for a server to even approach our table witch I can understand if they didn’t have the staff witch wasn’t the case Wasn’t even offered bread like all the other tables around us witch definitely made me feel like we were being treated differently. So we had to order the bread board .After having to pick different options to what we originally wanted to order because they were sold out . If you are going to be concerned a steak house I would recommend not selling out on your most expensive steak . The appetizers calamari and bread board was very good . Are dinners were also very good but nothing special the short ribs was definitely not on point and the seafood pasta well it was seafood pasta .Like I said wasn’t my first choice would have loved to have a tomahawk but like I said that was sold out and other steak options also the only steak that was available was the Japanese Wagyu. Would I go back maybe and try something thing else and hopefully have a better experience.
Hi. Wow. What a wonderful meal and the service was amazing. We came in for a quiet dinner. However, we were seated next to a party of 20 in the middle dining room. We literally sat on their backs……at a small table for two. It was so loud we, a party of two, were not able to talk without shouting and having to repeat everything to each other. We felt like we were at a pub for dinner it was so loud. The noise was like a 9/10. A lady from another table came over to talk to us about the noise level and their disappointment with it being so loud too. Consider the impact a large loud party like that has on the rest of that dining-room. You would think a party that size should reserve the side dining room so others can still enjoy a quiet evening, with great food, great service and each other in the main dining room. We were very disappointed and left with dessert to go instead of staying to enjoy it with some coffee. For such an exquisite restaurant, high class menu and higher prices for great quality food, we expected a quiet, elegant atmosphere in the dining room. Thank you.
Lucia’s – A Great Evening Out We had such a lovely dinner at Lucia’s tonight! We started with cocktails before the meal, and each one was perfectly made—balanced, flavorful, and just right. The cocktail menu isn’t huge, but every option sounded tempting. After dinner, the drink list opened up nicely with choices ranging from espresso martinis to classic digestifs, which was a nice surprise. Appetizers were tasty and well done, and the fresh bread service was a great touch that made everything feel welcoming. For our entrées, we tried the halibut with risotto and the short ribs with pappardelle, and both were excellent—seasoned beautifully, generous portions, and full of flavor. In fact, we had enough to bring some home! What really made the night special was our server, Elliott. His service was absolutely outstanding—attentive, friendly, and genuinely professional. He tied the whole experience together and made the evening that much more enjoyable. Overall, Lucia’s delivered a delicious meal, great drinks, and wonderful service.
My wife and I went there for her birthday with another couple. Everyone's food was served perfectly. Lobster tails were great ( be nice if you could get only 1 tail ) filet steaks were cooked perfectly. Bang Bang shrimp was great. Banana pepper soup was delicious. Desserts were good. Drinks were reasonable priced. Having table in the middle of the restaurant wasn't the best for conversations. Not cheap to eat there, so consistently going there would be ideal for us. So for service and food quality that is definitely a 5 star.
. I had heard the food was amazing with a 3 month wait for a reservation, we had high expectations. Unfortunately we were all dissatisfied. Apps. The crab Ragoon bites were frozen and fishy then deep fried. The stuffed peppers were too spicy for me to eat. Dinner. Twin lobsters-were over cooked and over seasoned too rubbery. But the potatoes and asparagus was good. Scallops and crab linguine-was a bowl of noodles with 4 medium scallops, sealed crab meat with butter and parm sauce. A beet salad-the beets had good flavor and the dressing good. Unfortunately the arugula so soggy it wasn't edible. Then the salmon. It was so overseasoned you couldn't tell what you were eating. We were sadly disappointed with the food. The server, bartender, bus help and hostess were all kind and helpful. .The view was beautiful. Unfortunately I feel we came for quality food and dinner, not frozen food
Tried this restaurant about 5 years ago and it was terrible, the chicken was rubbery, there was just nothing about anything we had that was better than mediocre. Although the dessert we had was good. We decided to give it another try after someone was raving about the short ribs. We had to get a reservation months in advance. I was expecting the food to be much better since it's always so busy. I'll start with the positives, service was good, food came out fairly quickly, they serve pretty good bread with both butter and olive oil dip, and all of that was really good. The french fries are fresh cut and those were also good, although the garlic and gorgonzola dipping sauces were quite bland. The key lime pie was fantastic although it was a pretty small piece for $12, extremely overpriced! Everything on the menu is overpriced. They had a sweet potato maple bourbon bisque that was really great, creamy texture and great flavor. My friend got the pork belly but was unimpressed. I was so excited for the short ribs, the waiter said they had been braised all day and that it's a customer favorite. It was so disappointing, I went to cut into it with my fork expecting it to be tender and fall apart and it was so tough I had to use a knife to cut it, it was not tender. Flavor was mediocre. But the texture was extremely disappointing. The mashed potatoes were decent, nothing to write home about...as was the asparagus. Will definitely not be back, way overpriced for disappointing quality. If you want delicious, fork tender, fall off the bone, melt in your mouth, short rib... go to vault@237. response to owner* - actually the waiter said maybe it was a "bad cut" or fatty- that WASNT the issue. they were not cooked properly to be tender. why would i wait around for you to cook them for another 30 minutes til they were tender? they shouldve been that way in the 1st place! as for bringing in water bottles- we arent interested in drinking tap water with carcinogenic chemicals...i review restaurants regularly and you are the only person that has ever said a word about it...so no, "most" restaurants do not have that policy. you say you "allowed" us, as if you think you have the right to control if people drink their own filtered water. thats absurd!
Waited weeks for a reservation for my daughters bday. This place was recommended to me so I was excited to try it. I get there and there’s a sign that says proper dress required but there were people there dressed and looking like they just rolled out of bed. The food took FOREVER to come but once it came we were rushed to eat fast. The waitress tried taking our plates within a few minutes after we got it and while we were still eating. It got to the point that I just gave up my plate to finish it at home just so that they would stop coming to get my plate. We felt UNWELCOME there and rushed out. The money spent was not worth it. Is this place under new management? Because I heard great things from people that used to go but haven’t been there in a while. Nice place but will never come again and won’t recommend anyone to either. Service was trash.
I called in December 2025 to make reservations for Valentine's Day 2026 as I was aware you book up fast. Our reservations were at 6:00pm and we arrived 5 min early and were seated right away. Much to our surprise we were escorted, all the way to what we would call the patio with rattan high top chairs and marble tables, with no more than 5 tables and window bar seating. The restaurant has linen table cloth tables with nice padded chairs which we did not have the pleasure to dine on. We have to say the waiter/bartender was very attentive during our meal. At the end of our meal I stopped at the hostess station and spoke to a manager about our concerns. She advised me I should have said I wanted the dining room, but I explained I had no idea there was an area other than the dining room for dinner to ask for, as I did this over the phone and not online. Normally a restaurant will ask if you are ok with the patio area but that was never asked. When you secure reservations over 2 months prior to an event you would think you would get the main dining room with the linen table cloths and padded chairs. I am not sure what my early reservation got me when again I got rattan chairs at a high top marble table. The manager advised next time I should specify where I want to sit, but I can safely say there will be no next time. This was supposed to be a nice romantic dinner for us, but clearly sitting in the bar/patio area we could have done anywhere. Clay and Lorrie
