The food here is delicious. My favorite is the pork roast sandwich with broccoli rabe and long hots. Pizza is good as well as there entrees. The restaurant is always clean and has outside seating. The owner and workers address extremely friendly. Highly recommend trying out out.

First time eating here. Ordered the Pork chop special. Pork chop stuffed with roasted red peppers, broccoli rabe & fontina cheese. Served on polenta with a fig reduction. My husband never usually has food jealousy, however this time, he did. This was one of the specials for the day and it was amazing! By the time we were leaving, there were sold out. Definitely will return.

We recently celebrated my daughter's christening at Gennaro's Italian Restaurant & Tomato Pies, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the warmth and hospitality of the staff enveloped us. They accommodated us with a spacious and exclusive table in the back, providing an intimate atmosphere for our family and friends. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the food. A gastronomic delight, the dishes were not only scrumptious but seemed to be in an endless supply. Every bite was a testament to authentic Italian flavors, and the generosity of the restaurant was evident as they allowed us to take leftovers home – a gesture we deeply appreciated. Went here for lunch, service and food were excellent.

My only complaint is that it’s not closer to me haha. The food was amazing, I had the Vodka Rigatoni and I must say , best I’ve ever had.

We tried Gennaro's Italian Restaurant & Tomato Pies for the first time after seeing positive reviews, and it did not disappoint. Making a reservation was super easy with their online booking system. At the reception, the manager greeted us warmly and even asked how to pronounce my name, which made me feel genuinely welcomed. The restaurant is spacious and beautifully decorated. We noticed a large family celebrating a grandparent’s birthday in one of the private rooms, which gave the place a nice, lively atmosphere. For our meal, we ordered the signature tomato pie, Pasta Toscano, and the pork chop. Everything was delicious, but the tomato pie was truly outstanding. The service was excellent as well—our server was attentive and paced the meal perfectly. We really enjoyed our time at Gennaro's Italian Restaurant & Tomato Pies and will definitely be coming back to try more dishes.

Took my wife for our anniversary. First time here, and I must say… the staff was friendly and warm. Kyra our server was kind and attentive. The food was amazing, if anyone goes and catches the Frenched Bone-In Pork Chop, I highly recommend it. We are definitely making this our regular spot.

Great restaurant with great takeout options. I've probably tried everything on their menu. Everything is delicious and reasonably priced. Their pizza/tomato pie is delicious and their gluten free options are the only ones in the area that my friends find palatable compared to other pizza places. Definitely would recommend.

The food was amazing. Cooked perfectly and full of delicious flavor. If I still lived in Hamilton, I would visit here twice a week!

My daughter's bridal shower was held here on Sunday. The room was beautiful and spacious. The guests raved about the delicious food. Service was very good. The room has its own entrance from the parking lot. I was very satisfied with this venue.

Stopped here on the recommendation of a friend. Our server was super friendly. The food was great. Started off with a hearty helping of the Eggplant rollatini. Great choice. Entrees were Chicken Parm for the wife and Chicken Italiano for me. Both dishes were well prepared and presented. Chianti and Sangria were refreshing. Overall a great experience and this place will not break the bank. We were a late seating and as soon as the kitchen served the last meals the chefs were seen cleaning everything in site. I look forward to eating here again. Highly Recommend this experience.

Had a surprise bday party there. Unbelievable attention to detail, Jamie was very pleasant and easy to work with. The food was tremendous as always and the service was unbelievable. I just can't stress enough how the servers worked like a well oiled machine! And very pleasant and friendly during the entire time which is unheard of in that business. Most servers are miserable and short patient with customers. I highly recommend this restaurant you won't be disappointed at all.

One of Hamiltons best places to eat. If you just want a pizza or if you are looking for fine dining for wonderful Italian food this is the place.

A surprise 90!birthday party 4 course dinner for 45 people. Service was EXCELLENT. Food was served promptly and was delicious. The atmosphere was lovely. Cannot say enough about how well we were cared for It was a PERFECT evening

Hell yeah this place is awesome. Girlfriend and I tried a pizza here and thought it was good so we wanted to dine in and try their dinners. First of all, staff was awesome. Seated immediately and greeted by our waitress shortly after. I wish I could remember her name cause she was awesome and deserves recognition. I ordered clams casino to start- never have had it the way it came and I was really enjoying it. Waitress asked how everything was and I expressed how amazing it was and was curious if she knew what the sauce was. This girl comes back with the recipe written down for me!! So thankful for that and look forward to trying it out. But other than the service, the food was awesome, the atmosphere was great, and the bill wasn't insane. Literally cannot wait to come back to try some other dishes. Shrimp fra diablo was amazing and my girlfriends chicken franchise was delicious!

This has been one of my favorite restaurants growing up in Hamilton and still is to this day. My server Nicolette was super attentive and great all around. I love that they added a bar!! Can’t wait to come back and get my favorite chicken francese!

Wow, amazing service and welcoming staff! I wish all restaurants had this type of service and kind people. The atmosphere felt cozy and warm. The food was delicious and the pumpkin martini was outstanding. They serve warm bread with oil and garlic: so tasty! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Gennaro’s is the quintessential Italian restaurant in the heart of NJ! The food is incredibly flavorful, especially their thin-crust tomato pies and vodka rigatoni. Jersey is famous for its pizza.north Jersey the shore you name it. mercer county pizza sucks honestly. This spot is good. Ingredients service clean. I only did try the NY style pizza is a 9 out of 10 for me,the flavors are on point pleasing to the palate.i really enjoyed it.

Had a good time! Food was pretty good (a little heavy on the garlic and the strip steak was not trimmed at all) Server was polite and attentive, atmosphere is incredible. They don't take reservations but we went Saturday at about 5:00 and there was no wait. The bread is delicious as well. BYOB.

Food is tasty (had the pizza once or twice and it's fairly good. This time i god a wrap). Wrap had nicely grilled chicken and roasted red pepper and melty provelone it was very good and the homemade chips are great. I never went here myself to get takeout before this and found the experience a lil odd in that they had a takeout menu that mentioned personal pies but i was informed personal pies are dine in only which i thought was odd for a pizza place. Definitey would go back to try their other items though. Update: wraps are so good we keep coming back for the.

Small but cozy Italian restaurant with a large, nice outdoor patio that sits on the side of the restaurant in a small shopping plaxa.

Usually Genaro’s is a five star for us. Tonight was the first time we did not have that experience. We brought some family from out of town to dinner because we are used to getting a fabulous meal. Unfortunately, tonight our food came out very slowly and when we finally did get it, it was cold. We had three young children with us so it made it even harder waiting so long for Our food to come out. It was unfortunate that we did not have a good experience with our out-of-town family.

I'll keep this one short. Was a little bit of a let down. Felt forgotten about at times. No one came to ask about drink refills. Parts of the meal were good. Eggplant Rollatini off the appetizer menu was pretty good. Eggplant was really thin. My chicken was watery and tasteless in my chicken marsala. I wouldn't call the whole meal a bust but probably won't be coming back. Maybe just an off night for them.

We took another couple out for their anniversary . The atmosphere was excellent. The service was very good . Everyone enjoyed their meal except me. I got the veal . It was so tough I could not eat it . I didn’t complain because I didn’t want to ruin the atmosphere . It was rubbery , perhaps undercooked , I don’t know . I was disappointed . We spent over $200 for a meal I didn’t enjoy! The other three people liked their food .

Gave them a shot after a few years gap of not going there. Them pizza was amazing a few visits back ro back for take out. Sat in and only can get the personal pizza for dine in, all was OK. The most recent time we picked up a pie to go was and absolute DISAPPOINTMENT....I'll tell you why....the dreaded cheese switcharo! Please Gennaro's. You can't do that to people, you can't change the most essential partof the pizza, the cheese. It was like cheap cheese mush. Im done, to risky because I don't know what im going to get. And every once and a while you get a rude girl on the phone, that's all.

We recently went to Gennaro's for a birthday dinner. The restaurant is split into to two halves, facing two different sides of the parking lot. One side for pizza, and the other for sit-down service. The sit-down side is nicely appointed, if small. Our table was clean and well presented. The waiter took our orders no problem. I ordered the Frutteto salad as a starter, and the Penne Toscano as an entree. It wasn't until we placed our orders that we were informed that a house salad is included with the entree. Nowhere in the menu does it say this, and the waiter didn't outline that at the beginning. Anyway, the salad was fine enough. Fresh greens and nicely presented. The raspberry vinaigrette, if present, was tasteless. I was disappointed that the salad was served at room temperature. I feel that the fruit would have had more bite if it were cold. Also, room temperature Gorgonzola is a little concerning. But it ate well enough. The entree was not as good. I will give credit to the chef for the pasta – it was perfect. It had a nice bite, not too soggy, chewed well. The sausage tasted fine, if a bit salty, but that's not unusual for cured meat. However, the rest of the dish was also too salty. And the broccoli rabe, oh my gosh, that was a crime scene. Wilted, overcooked broccoli, so saturated with liquid it resembled in both taste and texture, a wet sponge. It was inedible, and I did not finish my plate. At desert the waiter abandoned us. We ordered three desserts, one order of caramel mascarpone cheesecake, and two slices of blueberry white chocolate cheesecake. However, we only received the order of caramel mascarpone. When we tracked down our waiter and asked where the rest of the order was, he claimed he didn't hear the rest of the order. This, despite the fact he was looking directly at me when I placed my order before he nodded his head and closed his notebook. Again, the deserts were okay. Plenty sweet, but short on flavor. The mascarpone had just the slightest hint of caramel, and the white chocolate flavor was absent from the blueberry cheesecake. The worst part was that the taste of the crust overwhelmed the subtle taste of the desert so all you could really taste was the crust. The service was lackluster. We had a hard time tracking down our waiter when we needed something which, fortunately, wasn't often. We never got a refill on our drinks – never even offered. The denial by the waiter that he hadn't heard our desert order while looking straight at us is unbelievable. Oddly, there was an additional server hanging around our table staring at the guests but doing nothing that we could discern. She stood, back to the wall, just looking around the small dining room for a good 15-20 minutes. I understand that sometimes workers have downtime in a restaurant, it's not go, go, go all the time, but it seems odd that an idle waiter should stand around in the middle of a room full of diners and just stare at the patrons for almost half an hour. We found it unsettling. And lastly, the host, to my eyes, was not dressed very well for the type of image the restaurant seems to embrace. The dining room was kind of a modern swank, all tile and subtle lighting, with the waiters dressed smartly in black head to toe, while the host shuffled around in a loose green t-shirt and black slacks. He just didn't seem to match the whole aesthetic and kind of brought the ambiance down. Overall, the décor was nice, though the dining room was small. The host and waitstaff were mildly apathetic. The food was edible, but underwhelming. In the end, it felt like Gerraro's is trying to be more upscale than it actually is. Like a pizza place attempting to be a fine Italian restaurant. And you know what? I think that's exactly what Gennaro's is. A pizza joint with delusions of grandeur. We shan't return.

I've been ordering from them for years, no issues. I very rarely now. Today I am concerned after the last 2 times not feeling well. They will offer you an accommodation, but not worth your health. No refunds... Update- refused a full refund after disputing through ChowNow after the email asking for orders.

We chose this restaurant because they offer gluten free options. My has a gluten allergy and even cross contamination with gluten products makes her sick. My daughter ordered gluten free penne with vodka sauce and informed the waitress she has a gluten allergy. Her food came out and she found a regular piece of pasta in with her gluten free pasta. My daughter sent the food back and asked for a new plate of pasta. About 4 minutes later the same plate of pasta was re-served to her….

Service was very slow never came back to refill. Our water. Never asked if we wanted more beer never asked if we want a dessert. The food took 25 minutes to come out. Would never go there again.

To be honest food was great, but when I looked at the card we used we got charged 10 more bucks. I will be transparent we were on a budget cause we just moved in town and we’re still getting our finances sorted and 1 time we decided to eat out on a budget they over charge us 10 bucks extra than what we put in the tip part of the receipt also when I asked the lady on the phone about it she was being rude and sarcastic about it I don’t usually do reviews but this experience was bad enough all I received from the lady was criticism that why am I tipping only that it doesn’t make sense and she was forcing me to say the reason behind why I was asking for the 10 dollars back so I told her it was too much for our budget. Also she doesn’t have to say sarcastic comebacks, I guess this is a lesson learned not to eat out when you can’t afford to tip big.

I had to call 4 times to place my order. They said they couldn’t hear me. It was bad reception on there part and so much background noise. They blamed my phone. My husband had to go in person to place the order. He was able to order from there while on the phone with me. Also when he brought the food home. He got burnt pizza. Please see photos. What a bad experience. Will not recommend to go there

Our dine-in experience was extremely disappointing. From the moment we were seated, we felt discriminated against. We noticed other tables receiving fresh water glasses while ours were already on the table. Our food took over 20 minutes, while other guests who arrived later were served first. We were also not offered bread, unlike other diners. Even my children felt we were treated unfairly. We will not be returning or recommending this restaurant. NEVER GOING AGAIN and NOT REFERRING TO ANYONE.

Worst service ever! Server took well over 15 minutes to greet our table. Completely unnaceptable!!! Regardless if she had a big party, she could have sent over another server to pick up our table. Neither the bus boy or girl came over and filled up our water glasses or gave us bread. I waitressed in fine dining for years when I was younger. Anyone and everyone who has ever been a server knows the 30 second rule. Apparently this girl was absent during training. You seriously need to rethink who you hire. You're more than welcome to email me or reach out to me because I will tell you I pretty much know the owners of 90% of restaurants in the Hamilton, Robinsville, Princeton, Pennington and Newtown areas. (As well as my father-in-law owning a restaurant in Princeton for over 50 years) I'd be more than happy to send some of those servers to your establishment to retrain your waitstaff. Oh and your manager is a joke too, 😂 maybe I can send over some experienced managers to retrain her as well!
