Such a wonderful little place to grab breakfast and drinks when visiting Hammondsport. The owner cooks everything herself, so be patient if there are other people there already. The food is worth the wait though! The drinks came out first. The lemonada and fruit smoothie were the best complement on a hot July day. The breakfast hash was seasoned to perfection as was the cheese and sweet pepper omelet. Definitely a place I will continue to come back to everytime I am in the neighborhood!
This is an awesome place! I just had the falafel wrap that was the best wrap I have ever had. The falafel was spiced terrific with apple and tomatoes, hummus. Perfect!
I’m definitely going to be talking about this meal for a while so might as well start here. In one word: Scrumptious! The guys got the hash, my friend and I shared the Egg Brickah and the Shakshuka. We savored every bite! This is not fast food, but in our humble opinion it was absolutely worth the wait. The Egg Brickah it’s hands down my favorite thing I have tried all week at Hammondsport, packed with lovely Mediterranean flavors and served with honey. Unlike what other reviews claimed, the owner was warm and welcoming.
Had a fabulous lunch here!! Highly recommend the Mediterranean Sandwich. The veggies were super fresh and well cooked.
Love this little coffee shop/Cafe! The Mediterranean vibe with the food is amazing! Secret little gem I hate to give up, but deserves all the props!

Special place with special food. The chicken sandwich is really freaking good. My girlfriend got the Mediterranean which was also exceptional. Not your usual lunch spices and flavors. Come with an open mind and embrace the “aroma”. Owner was kind and sweet, lovely having a conversation with. Will be returning!
This is a gem of a restaurant. The Shakshuka is amazing along with our cappuccinos. The service is attentive, friendly and courteous. We sat out on the covered deck and enjoyed our morning in the Village of Hammondsport. We will definitely return for more.
I had the Mediterranean sandwich for lunch and my boyfriend had the falafel, it was absolutely excellent. Every bite was amazing. The owner was friendly and informative. One other employee, she was very sweet and attentive. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to upstate NY.
I am pretty confused by the bad reviews. I've been going here every year for almost a decade. The owner is as sweet as can be, and very helpful. She works incredibly hard and is often by herself. The food is made as you wait, so it might take a while if you come during a rush hour. But it's worth it. The spices she uses are fantastic and make every dish delicious and unique. Even something as simple as eggs or a grilled cheese has a little flair to it. Coffee is delicious, too. Can't forget that. Another thing to consider is the art. Great rotating art from local artists including paintings, sculptures, jewelry, and books. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!
I got a turkey sandwich and my girlfriend got a classic Mediterranean salad and they were both lite and delicious. The fruit smoothie definitely topped it all off and cooled us on a hot day. The art is pretty amazing as well! We will most definitely be back!

Excellent little restaurant to grab a nice home made meal. It hit the spot mid way through a moto ride. Thank you. And again today, another great visit, coffee was excellent, and I recommend the Tunisian Tuna Sandwich.

Four of us got coffees the other day, each was something different, all were not great. The coffee just didn't taste right and had very little flavor. I got a frappe that I believe had instant coffee or something like that in it that mainly tasted like ice. The woman and girl behind the counter were pleasant but it took a while to get our coffees. I'd go back and try their food, maybe they were having an off day.

Cute place with lots of art and stuff to look at, but THE worst mocha I've ever had. It was barely lukewarm and had very little coffee flavor. The foam, instead of having a creamy quality, had the consistency of soap bubbles. The chocolate was non-existent until I got to the last quarter of the cup where I encountered it all at the bottom where it then became so sickly sweet I couldn't make myself finish it. Hopefully their food is better.
We really wanted to like this place, but we should have listened to the reviews. It’s a really cool concept, but executed so poorly. Our food and drinks took 40+ minutes despite not having any customers ahead of us and its not being a busy time at all. People who came in after us got their food and drinks before us. We ordered a fruit smoothie, cappuccino, and the breakfast hash with turkey bacon. After we had already paid we were told they were out of turkey bacon, so we opted for sausage. The fruit smoothie was yummy, but the cappuccino was flavorless and disappointing. The hash was not hash, but rather a bunch of veggies with a super overcooked egg and “sausage” that looked and tasted suspiciously like a hotdog. For $40 we were super disappointed and left very unsatisfied. We don’t want to put down a local place, but do yourself a favor and listen to the reviews...and maybe skip eating here.

The service was very poor for over priced mediocre coffee. We ordered two hot and an iced and one bagel. One hot coffee was luke warm at best the other scorching. We wait and hour and half for our food and drinks. When mentioned that our bagel wasn't served the barista tried to say it was our fault. There were three tables, the first one did not get their full order until we left, the party ahead of us was still waiting and they had spent 50 dollars worth on their products. When a party comes in and orders, run their ticket together. Do not break it apart and serve all tables at once sending bits and pieces out at different times. The first table got their last drink when the rest of their party had already finished their food and drinks. Don't get me started on the cleanliness of the establishment. I wish I had gone to the Dunkin a quarter mile down the street.
Salsa for pizza sauce?!?! Who does that? Bugs all over the front, gross tables, cob webs. Unfriendly service by im assuming the owner. Now we have to go find a real meal 🤦♀️
I'm sorry to have to leave a bad review... But this was not the stop for my husband and I.. we drove about 2.5 hrs to go look at antiques...stopped in the area and saw this small coffee shop/art gallery.. thought hey let's stop in for some coffee? Worst mistake. First off the outside of the restaurant mentions paninis, and other food. We'll come to find out there is no such item on the menu. Walked in, 3 people were sitting on some stools prob. Ordered but we're waiting for food/drinks. Went up to the counter/menu board..to order. Lady was making drinks and running around doing other things. We were told she would be with us after she made the drinks.. waited 4-5mins finally she was done. We told her a coffee, iced tea and we wanted to split a turkey sandwich with what it came with, lettuce, tomato, apple, avocado, hummus and cheese.. not a difficult order. Told our bill was $7.00..not sure how cause a sandwich there costs $15 for a turkey and $17 for beef. Umm ok I thought but didn't wanna complain cause I was hungry. Then some people came in after us and stood in line behind us..making out and being weird. We sat down as we waited for our drinks/and sandwich. The people who had 4 total in their group all got their drinks relatively fast..and ended up leaving. We got our coffee and iced tea,but waited still..and no sandwich. Finally my husband and I after waiting 15mins said ok clearly we are not getting food..and left. By the way my husband's coffee was not filled to the top of his cup but 3/4 way..he ordered it black.. My iced tea tasted funny towards the bottom of the cup..and I ended up throwing it out. I'm kinda glad we didn't get the food...I would have been disappointed if it was anything like our drinks ): I'm sorry, I would say hire some help...find some workers..and have them help make food..or make drinks. Anything. Clearly the older woman must own this place, but I would say can't keep up with the traffic flow of people walking thru the doors...please hire someone.. for the sake of your business. I would not recommend this place. .
Iced chai was lukewarm and watered down with chunks of cinnamon. Iced mocha was just watered down coffee with chocolate syrup, which was also lukewarm. Very expensive for what you receive.
My boyfriend and I went here for brunch on a Sunday to start a beautiful day in the finger lakes. I have an intolerance to gluten, so I found Aroma based on reviews that suggested they had GF options, even though their chalkboard menu didn't mention it. When I asked the woman who worked there what options they had, she gave short responses as if we inconvenienced her by supporting the business as the only customers there at the time. The next trouble was the menu itself - there was no info on the actual food, only the title of the meal. This prompted me to ask "what is in the avocado sandwich?" Because it can't just be avocado. Again, she gave her answer as if I was rude for asking despite the information simply not being available for me to figure out myself. Nonetheless, we got our drinks (a warm dirty Chai latte and a room-temp cold brew that came with no ice) and waited patiently for about 20 minutes for the food. When the food came out, the gluten free bread was largely inedible because it was stale, and my boyfriend's meal was not what he expected because of the lack of info on the menu (I'm not sure the name, but he ended up with a plate full of potatoes with one fried egg on top), although it was seasoned nicely. When we wanted to leave with a to-go box, the woman was nowhere to be found so we improvised with a coffee cup and lid. Before we left, I searched for the bathroom and found the woman sitting in a dark room with ear buds in. Thank goodness, because she was able to give me the unfriendly point to where the unmarked bathroom is. It turns out the bathroom is also a storage room and had no paper towels. Overall, I was left with the impression that customers are an inconvenience. I certainly will make a point to not return based on the customer service and I honestly wonder how places with such poor service can stay in business...
Have always had great experiences everywhere we have visited over the years in Hammondsport but this one was the exception. Wife wanted a coffee and the name of the place was intriguing. Walked in and found the place very disheveled and dirty. No organization. Went to order and lady taking order was as pleasant as a dead fish. Steak sandwich took forever and was a disaster. Had 5 thinly sliced sweet potato pieces fried in oil on the side. Sandwich was on a focaccia type bread which was all that kept it from being a soggy mess. Meat (steak?) was dry and tough, onions and peppers were so greasy that all the oil had gotten on plate under sandwich making it almost impossible to eat as a sandwich. Also, I ordered an Americano hot which is one shot espresso with 3 or 4 parts hot water. Received it in an 8 oz cup filled almost to top so believe it was 1 shot plus 5 or 6 parts hot water. Very weak and watered down. Wife's latte wasn't very good either. Overall, I would give this place a 1. Very surprised the doors are still open.
Service was terrible, as was the food. Greasy chicken dark meat pieces for a 'sandwich'. Dead flies all over front window area. $4 for small ice tea with no refills. Bathroom was gross. Sink was full of bottles and no towel. Person working was unpleasant and too busy on the phone bitching loudly at someone to acknowledge me. I never leave harsh reviews, but this is fully deserved.
