Food was great! Very large portions. Says they are veteran owned and offer military discounts. I gave them 4 stars on service because they only gave me a discount on my food and not my wife's. I appreciate they discount but I thought that was a little petty considering my family sacrificed as much as I did. Atmosphere is nothing special. Pic is avocado BLT.
Stopped by 6 Klicks Scratch Kitchen in Helotes and had the fiesta wrap — really good food and everything was done right. The service was great too. This is a veteran-owned restaurant, and I love supporting veteran-owned businesses. Great local spot in Helotes and definitely one I’d return to.
First time visiting 6 Klicks cafe. It was lunchtime and not busy at all. I was worried that meant it wasn't good 😆 I was pleasantly surprised. I got the Club sandwich. The service was great, the food was really good and will go back again.
We had a wonderful business meeting today at Clicks Cafe and I just had to share how great the experience was! The waiter was extremely attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. The food was absolutely delicious, and the cafe itself was very clean, which I always appreciate. The atmosphere was welcoming and perfect for a relaxed business meeting. Another thing I truly love is that Clicks Cafe is veteran-owned and proudly supports our military. 🇺🇸 That means a lot to me and makes supporting this local business even more special. I definitely recommend stopping by if you're looking for great food, great service, and a warm, welcoming environment!
Coming from the East Coast, I’m very picky about my chicken Caesar wraps—and let me tell you, Klick’s Cafe absolutely nailed it. This was hands down the best chicken Caesar wrap I’ve ever tasted. Fresh, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with love and care. Our waitress, Candance, was extremely attentive and so welcoming—she made us feel right at home from the moment we sat down. My husband ordered the ranch chicken sandwich and it was incredibly flavorful and tasty. You can really tell everything is made from scratch. And don’t even think about leaving without dessertthe bread pudding was SO delicious. 🤍 We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend
Great service even being as busy as it was. my server Candice was fantastic. The chicken fried steak was so good. Kudos to Candice to working so diligently with how busy she was. Thank you. Most def recommend!! Wished I would have taken pics of the food.
Had a wonderful dining experience this past Sunday. I was greeted and waited on by a waitress named Candice. She was very attentive offered suggestions. They were quite busy but not once did we have to wait for any items. I had a seafood plate that was very tasty the catfish and shrimp were cooked perfectly. Thank you Candice for the suggestion and staff for a great dining experience.
This is an amazing scratch restaurant. The food here is true scratch food all the way down to the onion rings and corn dogs. We had an awesome time at this restaurant. The service was excellent as well as the food. Also, the menu is quite expansive. We were served by Anila (sp?) and Candace (team lead). They ensured we had everything we needed without interrupting our time visiting our friends. We were also asked for feedback on the food, which as a foodie is a rare opportunity given that most places just want compliments. Candace really wanted feedback and took our minor comments seriously. If you're looking for amazing food delivered by friendly people, this is your place. You owe it to yourself to give it a try.
So the wife took me here today for my first time. Let me tell you, this place should get 10 out of 5 stars! As soon as we walk in we were greeted by Cici and she was very kind. As we were there hoping to get breakfast, she politely told us they had just finished serving breakfast. I took a look around and said "let's try their lunch". Wifey was for it (gotta feed the Queen). Ceci took our order and after a little while came back to check on us. She even apologized for the wait (which wasn't long in my opinion) and refilled our drinks. When the food came I was shocked at the size portion. Most places charge you an arm and you barely get a kids size. Not here! It was worth every penny! It was only surpassed by the taste! So yeah, if you haven't been here then you should. Try the honey hot chicken sandwich or the BLT. They were phenomenal!! Again 10 out of 5 stars. I will definitely be back!
We’ve enjoyed the service provided by Brandon. He was extremely attentive and a well mannered gentleman. We ordered the pulled pork Avacado omelette and the basic breakfast. The hash browns could have been cooked a bit longer and my honey said the pork could have used more flavor, although, I thought it was perfectly seasoned. To each is own I guess. Beyond that, every time we’ve eaten here the food is delicious and the service is excellent. On a side note: Our first encounter with this establishment we showed at 11 intending to eat breakfast and were told breakfast stopped at 1055, but we went ahead and stayed for lunch because of the online reviews. We now show up before 1030 if we want breakfast. EVERYTIME we’ve been in the restaurant eating breakfast we’ve noticed several large parties turned away because they showed up to close to 11. As a suggestion, you may consider extending your hours for breakfast. Thank you for your service and for offering a good place to eat out.
Our first time eating at this establishment and it was amazing. We don't live in San Antonio anymore but we were visiting for the weekend and I am so glad we stopped there to eat. The service was stellar and the food was delicious. We will definitely go back very soon! I highly recommend this place!
EVERYTHING was SO good!!! My chicken sandwich was full of flavor and that ranch is delicious!!! The fries are so crispy but not greasy! My husband really enjoyed the catfish. We will be regulars for sure!!! I will order this again! Candace was our waitress and she was great! Very attentive & so sweet! Really really happy to have found this place!
Fantastic food! The Ultimate Pancake was one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. Buttermilk classic stuffed with eggs, sausage, and bacon - it was everything I wanted and more. No long wait for a table or service, we were in and out in an hour. Military focused, probably a vet owner. My 3 year old ate the entire kids meal (a heft portion of eggs, hash browns, a sausage, and a bacon slice) and he still wanted more. We'll be back more with a group and Bible study!
If you’re ever on Bandera Road, do yourself a favor and stop by 6 Clicks Café. The breakfast here is on point—eggs cooked fluffy, hash browns perfectly crispy, and the coffee never runs dry. The service is just as good as the food, friendly and attentive from the moment you walk in. What makes this place even more special is the atmosphere. It’s veteran-owned, with military memorabilia all around that gives it a real sense of honor and respect. They even have a table set for the Soldier fallen soldiers table —a powerful reminder that some never made it home. 6 Clicks Café is more than just a spot to eat—it’s a place that feels like home, filled with pride, respect, and great food. 🇺🇸🍳
What can I say? This place is great! Went for the first time yesterday, with my mom. I got the French toast platter and everything was perfection. My mom got the regular breakfast and enjoyed her meal as well. Well, I told my boyfriend about it and showed him the pictures and surely enough I was back again today. He loved everything too. For the quality, quantity and price of food, you can’t beat it. Plus, no wait time both days? Wonderful! It feels like this is a hidden breakfast gem on the weekends. The service was nothing short of fantastic as well. I had the same server both days and she was sweet and attentive. This place is definitely in my rotation of restaurants now, and I can’t wait to try a lunch/dinner next!
I love finding hidden gems and omg, this is one of them. We started with the Firecracker Shrimp. Lightly breaded, perfectly sauced and just straight addicting, it’s not hard to see why this appetizer is so popular. My wife got a grilled chicken salad with strawberries and I got a Hickory smoke burger with onion rings. I have done many burger reviews in the past, and I will say that this easily ranks in the top 5. The half pound patty was perfectly cooked and seasoned with a nice grilled char to it. The in-house homemade bun was perfect. The fftoppingfs and overall build of the burger was so well done, every bit was amazing from start to finish. Last but not least, the onion rings. Lightly breaded perfectly fried these onion rings were some of the best I’ve ever had. The service was not fast, but they were very attentive. This is not a fast food place. It is well worth the wait.
Went for a quick lunch heard nothing but good reviews about this military veteran owned establishment. Walked in and yes definitely military from wall to wall. Was greeted, sat, my server a very helpful young man that asked if I had any questions or would like any recommendations. Ok not a bad start. Got an appetizer the calamari came out delicious. Next was just the classic burger which was very flavorful I won't deny that. The fried okra was perfect for my taste. Now here is where things seemed to go south. After I got my food the young man was no where to be seen. Another young man cleaning the table next to mine asked if I needed anything. Asked for a to go container and a small sauce container for my dipping sauces. That seemed to stump the young man who had to go check and see if they had any. Well seems I was forgotten until he came back to finish cleaning the table. He then sees me and says oh yeah we don't have small sauce containers. Then walks away now this is on me thinking he remembered my small box and went to go get it but no I never saw my to go box. I didn't get asked if I needed a refill of my drink so I got up, paid my bill, and never saw my original server. In total there were maybe 3 other tables during that time so not even slammed and the staff dropped the ball. Food on point, clean and well looking facility, but the staff while very respectful just dropped the ball with the small details. Maybe because it was slow at that time I get it we all have done it where we slack off, joke with our coworkers but still we all have a job to do.
A great place to spend time with family and friends while also supporting veterans. Very casual and bright with simple design and lots of seating area. There's plenty of space throughout the building so you never have to squeeze past anyone or feel cramped. There's also a lot of bright natural colors which fits in well with the feeling of kindness and fresh appeal that you'd get from a lot of cafes; I find that it easily can uplift my mood. The food is pretty good as it uses a lot of fresh, quality ingredients. The plating is done nicely and offers a simple style with nice colors making the food tantalizing to the eye. In terms of taste, there's good flavor with many of the dishes without being overbearing or tiring. The meals, despite the more intentional plating technique, feels very home - made and comforting especially with taste and made for an enjoyable meal. If I had to recommend what dishes to get it'd be the gator bites and buffalo chicken cheese fries. The catfish plate was also pretty good and worth a try if you're big on seafood. They have a ton of options to choose from on their menu though and I'm sure everyone is bound to find something they'll love! Very friendly to all who come by as well as attentive, open to feedback and very welcoming. They greeted us and were great with giving recommendations of food items to try that were their personal favorites. I enjoyed their kind energy and the farewell greetings inviting us to return soon. I also appreciate how they were kind enough to explain the history of the place and their mission of supporting fellow veterans in need as well as giving them a safe space to go. Definitely a very friendly environment. If you'd like a refreshing cafe with great ingredients made fresh, enjoy food with a homemade flair and love to find ways to further support veterans and support a kind cause all in one package, 6 Klicks will definitely be for you!
The two-star rating reflects an issue that arose, the origin of which remains unclear, whether it stemmed from the waitress's order taking or the cook's preparation. The waitress accurately recorded our order, repeating it back to confirm, which suggests the error may have originated in the kitchen. She subsequently apologized and offered to rectify the mistake, but informed us that she would personally incur the cost of the correction. I found this business practice to be highly unusual and unacceptable. Regarding the food, it was satisfactory. However, I believe the pricing is approximately $1.50 to $2.00 higher than it should be, which could potentially be attributed to high rental costs at that particular location. I may consider returning to this establishment. However, should a similar error occur and the cook instructs the waitress to bear the cost, I will directly address the matter with the cook. The specific item in question was mashed potatoes.
My parents wanted to try this place due to the amazing ratings. After church we arrived and saw the place to be fairly half full/not so busy. Hostess sat us immediately, didn’t seem busy. After a few minutes a waitress advised there was a rush and they’d get to us. More time passes and no one serves us, however other tables were being served. I’ll keep it short, we were served eventually, food took over an hour to reach our table, each of our meals was wrong. One waitress told a table next to us disrespecting my parents for their patience and thanking that table for their patience. Personally I didn’t want to hear it but she said it loud enough for us to hear. I paid for my parents meal to make them smile, lady at front apologized and I just gave the casual “impatient” excuse but honestly, being LEO, I felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable here. Sure they seemed understaffed but my family and I felt we were secluded and watched other tables being served with smiles and getting the positive experience and we received the opposite. I apologize if we did anything wrong. We just wanted to have a nice family meal. UPDATE - No response from owner after seeing they respond to other reviews. It says a lot about the location.
First of all I want to say Thank You for Your Service as a Marine to the owner! However, not a good stop! First time to experience the restaurant as we had heard and seen good things about it and we were on a day trip to Lost Maples. This was our breakfast stop. They opened at 8 am and they stuck to the clock. Not very busy as we were there a few minutes before they opened. My wife ordered the Double Decker Sandwich and asked if she could make that into a BLT and was told NO because they did not have the lunch stuff out! Lunch Stuff? Hmmmm. Obviously lettuce and tomatoes are considered lunch. I ordered the Eggs Benedict’s with Crispy Hash-browns and a side English muffin toasted. As you see in the pictures the has browns are not crispy and the inside was not cooked and tasted like raw potatoes. I could go on saying how bad it was but I think I have said enough. Poor service, lousy food! There is a Mexican restaurant a couple doors down!
