Sooo yummy! The cocktails were so amazing. Also a huge wine selection! I cannot wait to go back. Had the two vegetarian dishes- ravioli and Gorgonzola gnocchi!
Amazing service! Very good authentic Italian food. Delicious home made pasta. Delicious panna cotta!
What a great find! While it's on a main street, it's actually above the street, so you might not notice it. Inside, it is modern, elegant, with great food and service.
Loved the peach appetizer—fresh and flavorful. The brisket pasta was rich and the lemon drops were easily some of the best I’ve had. Great food, solid drinks, and a nice overall vibe. Would definitely come back!
The gnocchi is delicious. Ever since I had it the first time, I crave it often. The eggplant appetizer is such a comfort food my family loves. Their craft drinks are great and I especially enjoy my Negroni. The atmosphere is romantic and modern with old family photos of the Radici family. Radici has become my home away from home when it comes to eating authentic Italian food.
This place is an absolute gem! The family and staff that run the restaurant are authentic, genuine, and incredibly talented. The food is unbelievable, and the hospitality is unmatched. We had a salad, lasagna, bolognese, and tiramisu. We also had a great wine and the best Whiskey Sour we could find in town. We were in Hermosa for a long weekend and decided to try this restaurant after reading multiple great reviews. I’m so glad we did, and we cannot wait to go back.
The pastas are spectacular!!! We had the pappardelle bolognese and fettuccine with guanciale - both were perfect, we can't decide which we liked best. The calamari fritti were delicate and crunchy. Tried arancini for the first time and I am obsessed.
Very nice elegant restaurant I really loved the vibe and how once you enter you go up the stairs to a totally chill vibe with a view ! very discreet . The service was fast and the food was tasty and well cooked I came after walking out of Coastal up the street. The server at Radici was great and focused.
The pasta is amazing, flavorful and so so light! Our server was extremely helpful and friendly. And don't forget the tiramisu to end a great meal.
Great food and service! Every dish is made with love!
They overbooked and had a small wait for our reservation but we didn't wait too long. The service was excellent otherwise, but the food was 100% worth the wait. The gnocchi was one of the best gnocchi dishes I've had at any Italian restaurant. I wasn't expecting authentic Italian ingredients. Gnocchi is usually thick and dense when it's premade or frozen. Their gnocchi was perfectly fluffy and the sauce was delicious. The kiddo had spaghetti and his exact words were "this is bomb" and finished every bite. I'll be back for sure.
Amazing!!! First this is recounts of a dinner about 8 months ago, so appologies if this review isn't very in depth. First, the ambiance. This is a very quaint, quiet sort of restaurant. Very modern and high end. I personally liked the slightly more subdued atmosphere and dimmed lights, but I can see why others wouldn't. Second, food. I cannot stress how good the food was! I believe I ordered their ravioli, and it was very good! All beverages we're good too, nothing out of sorts. And lastly, staff. The staff was very good! I believe we had two servers assigned to out tables and they made sure everything was good and in order, and had no problem helping another member of our party who was late order and find us. All around this was a great experience and look forward to dining here again in the future!
This was a great find. It's set back from the street, up a flight of stairs. I started with an Aperol Spritz that tasted like one I had in Italy. We had the garlic bread loaf for an appetizer. I could eat that with just a salad and be happy. For dinner, I had the linguine with guanciale - so delicious. The service was excellent. Their prices were lower than expected considering the service and the quality of the food. I will definitely be back.
Radici's is a hidden Gem!! First of all I would like to say that the staff there are awesome and kind. The food was amazing and this was my first time having Italian food. I had the "gnocchi di patate radici" (Housemade potato & spinach gnocchi with stilton and parmigiano cream al gratin) and the "Salmone Grigliato Al Limone". The Salmon was packed with flavor and was cooked to perfection. I definetly will be coming back and referring friends and family.
Everything about this restaurant was incredible. The staff was so friendly and kind, they really went above and beyond. The food was better than I could’ve imagined. I tried the gnocchi and I could not stop talking about how incredible it was! The atmosphere was very relaxed and soft, all in all a 10/10. Definitely worth the price, would’ve even paid more.
Some of the best Italian food I’ve had outside of Italy! We split the arancini, melanzanne, ravioli, truffle fettuccine, and the shrimp. Everything was so delicious! The service was also great (Sean was our server and he was so nice and also everything came out so quickly). It’s a family owned business and you can tell. This is very much authentic Italian food — the sauces are not overbearing, which is always my complaint for most Italian restaurants. Excited to visit again when I’m back in town!
Amazing food. We had the eggplant app and the Garlic Bread which is ridiculously good. We had Lamb Chops and Chicken Parm with Vokda sauce on the penne, OMG. Everything is SO flavorful and fresh. Sean was pur server and he was excellent! Great advice on the wine and Benji assisted and was also excellent and friendly. They both left us alone but were somehow right there when we needed them. Can't say enough great things about this restaurant, highly recommend!! 👌
We had a 6pm reservation and they accommodated us early which was so nice. The atmosphere was calm and inviting on a Sunday evening. The food was perfectly portioned and deliciously authentic. The server was attentive and prompt with our requests. Perfect date night. 10/10!
We have enjoyed the restaurant several time with different people and on date night. The quality of the food has always been excellent and we have tried 80% of the menu. Service is great. Pricing is reasonable My wife and I eat out at least a day a week and radichi is a favorite
I have gone to this restaurant a few times with friends. All is top-notch. The food is excellent, and service is always a pleasure . We will visit again in the near future.
Run, don’t walk, to Radici for an Italian meal you won’t stop talking about. Laura, the wonderful owner, put together the most incredible rehearsal dinner for me and 30 guests. As guests trickled in, everyone enjoyed drinks from the full bar by skilled bartenders. We were sat in a lovely semi-private area where we could really enjoy the company, but still felt the vibrant atmosphere of the restaurant as a whole. Apps were ready on the table when we sat down and they were DELISH! The warm garlic bread is to die for. The involtini and charcuterie board were real crowd pleasers as well. There was plenty to satisfy our initial hunger but it wasn’t so heavy that we couldn’t enjoy our next course. And enjoy it we did. We had chicken parm (eggplant for the vegetarians) and penne all vodka. WOW. The handmade pasta is next level. You can taste the freshness and high-quality of the ingredients. The portions were perfect again, totally satisfied but room for dessert. We had gelato, sorbet, and berries and cream - the perfect end to the meal. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The ambiance is warm and inviting. Laura truly knows how to host a dinner party you’ll remember for a lifetime. Don’t wait for a special occasion to come here. You will be so pleased with everything Radici has to offer.
Not that I recommend overwhelming the staff, but Radici was able to accommodate our party of 17 with a one day notice. Laura was very helpful, honest and I felt like she went out of her to make sure we were well taken care of. Their table setting was beautiful and they did their best to make it a memorable night and for that, we appreciate them.
My boyfriend and I found this restaurant while we were out on a date last year, and I have to say that it's one of my absolute FAVORITE restaurants! I go every time I visit Hermosa Beach now, and it's one of my favorites to take my friends too. Tonight, I took one of my pickiest friends there, and she adored it. :) It's definitely a must-try
Really incredible food all around for a table of twelve. Service was great, staff was friendly, and food arrived in reasonable time given our table size. Would definitely recommend this place. The only outlier in the whole experience was the table bread was oddly plain. Warm and soft white bread. French sourdough baguette would fit the vibe better. Guess we arrived pretty hungry to notice the bread.
One of the few restaurants around the South Bay that provides really high-end friendly service. They really made us feel welcome, even though we did not have a reservation. The food was also very good. The outside patio is really nice - I hope it stays after Covid.
We went there for Mother's day. We were greeted upon arrival and sat right away to an ocean view, awesome. We were never rushed to order amd our server checked in with us regularly to see if he could do more for us. Our meal was served in a timely manner. I had the Fettuccine with lamb ragu. It was delicious and highly recommended by me. The owner was also circulating during our meal and also asked us if everything was OK and if there was anything more they could do for us. She was very pleasant and visible throughout our stay. At the end of our meal we were asked if we wanted dessert, we declined. We received our bill, all was correct , we paid, and left very happy. 💕👏😋
We first dined at Radici in April 2024 (for our anniversary). We've been back a few times since and the food + service + ambiance is EXCEPTIONAL. Absolutely incredible experience every single time. If only we could give more than 5 stars! Laura (the owner) is kind and gracious and wonderful, and you can tell she pours her heart into the entire experience for her team as well as her clientele. From the moment the front of the house calls to confirm your reservation, to the friendly smiles you'll receive when you walk in the door, as well as the charismatic bartenders and wait staff, you'll always feel very well cared for. We love this spot and look forward to returning often!
We cleaned our plates!! The spinach ravioli and garlic bread were standouts.
Hands down the best place to eat in Hermosa. We come here once a month when we are in town and make it a staple in our trip every time. The food is phenomenal, the staff is so friendly and helpful with questions regarding the menu and recommendations, and the atmosphere is calm and fun. We have NEVER had a bad meal here, and they are so consistent with all of their dishes. 10/10 recommend this restaurant to anyone we can! The gnocchi is a chefs kiss, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu!
This restaurant features a formal reception and maintains a solemn atmosphere. On Mother's Day, they made it a point to entertain guests with complimentary drinks. I highly recommend the homemade pasta; the dishes were delicious. Note that seating is not allowed until all members of the party have arrived. Given the crowded parking situation at Hermosa Beach, it might be wise to gather a bit earlier if you're coming in a large group.
“I have eaten at Radici several times. From the chic ambiance,to the attentive wait-staff to the entree plate presentations—WOW! I learned that Radici is Italian family owned using generational recipes. The savory flavors and seasonings they use means they never have to drown their food in cheese and tomato sauces. Made from scratch daily special orders and requests are possible The gnocchi and the lamb will put a smile on your face and make for a happy tummy. Go now to Radici before they have a 6 month wait list for reservations!!” Signed Uncle D, Pasadena
What a lovely find! Beautiful atmosphere, and the service was amazing. Thanks Sean P for taking great care of us. Now the food….delicious. Cannelloni which I never see, a special ribeye app, and a shrimp dish with large succulent shrimp. Everything just exceeded my expectations tonight.
If you’re looking for truly authentic Italian food, this is the spot. Hands down the best Italian food in the South Bay. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, and you honestly can’t go wrong no matter what you’re craving. The ambience is amazing, and the entire dining experience is top-notch. This is my go-to place whenever I have family or friends visiting from out of town.
Very cozy environment with a perfect view of the sunset if you choose window seating. The food was absolutely amazing with top-tier service. I ordered the chef's special Chicken Parm and it dis not disappoint. Every bite was flavor and left my taste buds wanting more!!!
This is THE spot to go to for a great meal and feel fancy and well taken care of. They are so nice here, and the food is so dang good.
First time. Swift service. Acoustics could be improved We love the ambiance and very attentive staff. The scallops in creamy sauce with mushrooms were a favorite today.
Beautiful Italian restaurant serving fresh and flavorful traditional Italian dishes. Portions are quite small for the prices but the food is high quality. Lovely upscale atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating options.
Had the Dinner here very nice location and nice position . The food is good the pasta course are various and lots of choices.... there are not a lot of main course could be better. I can't give 5 stars because there are better Italian restaurant but for sure is a good place to go
Excellent service. Very nicely presented vegetarian options with great taste and flavor. The stuffed squash flowers were exceptionally delicious. The pasta with truffle was outstanding and the potato pasta was crisp and delicious( both are home made by the chef). The desert selections were also great. Tiramisu was fresh and very tasty with full of flavor .
Really nice atmosphere, good service and great fresh italian food. I appreciate the real recipes with high quality ingredients. The only reason I don’t give them 5 stars is due to the small portions, I’d rather pay a bit more and get full, I could’ve repeat twice hahah. I’ll definitely come back.
My daughter and I went to this place in Friday night and wasn't crowded, it was one table full of business people having a good time, another table with two ladies and my daughter and I, it was already late so I didn't know if I can order dinner from the menu but they told me it was okay so I order gnocchi made from potato and spinach and my daughter ordered vodka penne, coffee and dessert . Food wasn't that good and blocked of flavor, it was plain and to me a little over price. I liked the place was cozy and warm to have a nice conversation and have a a glass or two. I will give another try to this place because I think I need to have another dish from the menu so I can compare different flavors.
Enjoyed our food and drinks, really nice and good options for vegetarians. We did find the staff a little too attentive though. 4 different people kept asking us how the food was over and over again! Other than that we had a great evening.
Was somewhat disappointed as the reviews for this place were fantastic & it was a key reason we chose to dine here. The ambiance & aesthetic of the place were great & our server was incredibly helpful & friendly & provided stellar service. But the food fell flat for me. The bolognese was just ok, it didn’t rock my world & the pasta tasted somewhat undercooked in fact. I was pleased to hear they had pisco & the bartender made an excellent pisco sour, substantially larger than I was used to or expecting. I wouldn’t rush back here personally.
Had high hopes for this place based off other reviews but maybe we came in on a bad night. First off, the ambiance was really nice! 5/5 Next, the food....a disappointment. The garlic bread, amatriciana, bolognese, burrata and panna cotta were delicious but everything else was meh at best. The calamari had deep fried veggies... not sure if it was a filler to fill up the plate because I didnt order veggie tempura. The sausage pasta was bland. Literally no flavor. The flank turducken invention was unique. Sauce and risotto were good as the side but confusing as to what we were eating. Food overall was a 2/5 at best. Lastly, service was great. Aside from no water refills, our waiter was fast and friendly.
The service was awkward and super rushed! One staff member took my daughters utensils and glass while she was in the bathroom. Right away I tried to tell him but he was off like a flash. They would come check on us randomly but right after they asked if we were okay they shot off before we could speak. We had one waiter that said, “I guess I will be your waiter then” and half way through the meal another guy was serving us. It was very rushed and disappointing as the service can make or break an experience. The atmosphere was nice, no complaints there. Not too quiet, not too loud. The food was good. The bolognese was great. The spaghetti pomodoro was average at best. Needed more sauce. Asked for red pepper flakes and parm to help but they gave me very little and I couldn’t flag anyone down for more in their frantic running around. The penne with vodka sauce was really good too. The calamari was good but only 10 or 12 small pieces for something like $22. Did not seem to match the price. Wanted to end the meal with a lemoncello, but I guess someone bought all of it and they were making a new batch that would take 3 weeks before it was ready. With all of the reviews being so good I was disappointed. Maybe it was a bad night … I would’ve given 3.5 stars but that’s not an option and they didn’t earn a 4 star review from me this time.
It would have helped our experience if the waitress knew what sparkling wine/Procecco was, I guess I was not supposed to know. The food was just okay. Nice place, I only post pictures when the presentation is on point.
The atmosphere is great and the food wasn't bad but I didn't expect to have French food with small portions at an Italian restaurant. I had to go out again to have dinner. Had the salmon with spinach. Very small portions and when the ladies say something about the price portion ratio..I understand quality but add a little pasta to the dish please..
My lamb chops were under seasoned, and the potatoes on the side were cold and also under seasoned. The fettuccini dish was bland overall. Spent almost $200 and it was no where close to the best food I’ve had.
We visited last night for a Christmas dinner with a group of eight, including children. Because we were with kids and carrying gifts, finding parking was difficult, so we used the valet service right in front of the restaurant. Unfortunately, this turned our evening into a very upsetting experience. After returning home, I realized that a small pouch I had accidentally left on the floor of the car was missing money. Inside the pouch was 100,000 Japanese yen in cash, and it had clearly been taken. This was travel money for an upcoming trip to Japan, and because of this incident, we had to leave for our trip without it. What was supposed to be a joyful Christmas dinner turned into a very unpleasant memory. Losing money this way is unacceptable, especially when using a valet service that should be trustworthy and professional. Please take responsibility, properly manage your valet service, and return the money. This should never happen to any customer.
We were very disappointed . Food was tasteless. Soup was watery .Service was poor . We had to order Appetizers, Entree & dessert every thing all together & they did not bring out garlic bread & appetizer first that we ordered with wine .
