My experience at The Chocolate Avenue Grill was very good. I stopped in around 4:30 p.m. after a long day waiting at the hospital and really needed a nice meal. The atmosphere at TCAG was relaxing and calming—it felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. The food was excellent. I ordered the blackened mahi tacos, and they were flavorful and perfectly moist. My server was attentive and warm, with a pleasant, relaxed demeanor and a constant smile. Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely be stopping back at TCAG in the future.
An enjoyable experience. Slightly dinerish atmosphere but the food and service, elevated! The crab cake was memorable. The server brought au jus for my potatoes and agreeable to make adjustments to my order. My meal was perfectly created.
We had dinner at the restaurant and we absolutely loved everything. It is a busy place so there is a waiting period but other than that, the ambiance, food and service was excellent. We loved all our food items and savored all of it. I definitely recommend this place for good dining experience.
Such a vibe! If you’re looking for THE dinner spot in Hershey - look no further! With an extensive menu, amazing bar and incredible service, it’s all you could ask for and more! Jen took amazing care of us on their HEATED patio! For a chilly night, I was warm! Like take my jacket off warm! How rare to have an outdoor experience in November that you LOVE! Okay so food… smash burger 10/10, short rib pappardelle 25/10 Drinks…. Espresso martini 2nd best I’ve ever had. Chocolate martini - the cherry on top of a perfect day at Hershey park! We LOVED everything!
The food was delicious. Our dishes were the Mahi tacos and the gorgonzola grilled chicken salad. There was a lot of flavor. No need to add salt. Would definitely recommend.
The quality of the food was amazing and there were plenty of healthy options as well on the menu. Our waitress was polite and friendly and he was attentive to our table the whole time. Pretty nice restaurant to go out, even the outdoors had heaters.
We decided to try this restaurant while celebrating our anniversary in Hershey. We did make reservations for a Saturday night. When we arrived, there was a wait for a table if you did not have a reservation. We had the Limoncello Spritz and the Italian Gin and Tonic. Both of the drinks were refreshing. We ordered the Mexican Street Corn Risotto with grilled chicken and Spanish Chorizo and Shrimp. The meals did not come with a salad but you can add it for an extra cost. For dessert, we opted for another drink. We choose the Peanut Butter Milkshake martini (which is served in an iced tea glass not a martini glass) and another Italian Gin and Tonic. Everything was delicious.
Was visiting the area for work and decided to stop in for lunch with my co-worker. We both ordered the smash burger and WOW what a delicious burger!! Probably the tastiest burger I’ve ever had in my life so I had to leave a review. We had great service as well and will definitely be back to eat on our next business trip.
We decided to eat here for our anniversary and what an amazing decision. The food was so delicious and Breanne (sp?) was phenomenal. She was super nice, answered all our questions, and offered suggestions on what to eat. My husband got the pork chop with garlic mashed potatoes and I had the butternut squash gnocchetti. We will definitely be back!
If perfection were a burger, it is found here. There are so many menu options. Every plate I saw looked delicious. My wife had the Mahi Mahi tacos and she loved them. Our waitress,Joanne ,was top notch. Of you are in the area, this is the place to go.
Upscale Café, perfect for date or ladies luncheon. I had the Goat cheese salad and it was delicious. My granddaughter had the traditional burger and fries, said they were good. Creme brulee was fantastic, large enough to share, and the peanut butter pie was so rich it tasted like fudge.
Huge menu that includes high quality dishes, accompanied by incredible service. Doesn’t get much better than this! Highly recommend, making this spot a new tradition for our post Hershey park meals!
After a day at Hersheypark, we usually stop at Tröegs Brewery for dinner, but this time we decided to mix it up and try something different. This was our first time visiting Chocolate Avenue Grill, and we were extremely happy with the choice. The duck wing appetizer was incredibly delicious, and the hot honey glazed scallops were next-level amazing. I had a bite of my son's hot chicken sandwich and my wife's Mediterranean wrap, and both were also so good. To say this meal was enjoyable would be a complete understatement. I honestly cannot remember the last time I had food that tasted this good. We are already looking forward to our next visit to the area, and this will definitely become a regular stop for us. I cannot speak highly enough about how blown away we were by the flavor and overall quality of the food.
Blown away by our first visit. The menu presents too many good options. The lobster roll was on point. The street corn chicken risotto outstanding. The short rib pasta was deep and rich. Service was quick and pleasant. We will definitely be back.
Food was amazing! And our waitress Kelli was fantastic even though she was very busy. Coming back for more definitely!
To start we got the coconut shrimpys. Then for our main dish we got the Old Bay crabby melt and short rib french dip sandwiches. Food & service was great!
Fantastic restaurant! Friendly service and great food at Reasonable prices! And they have a dog friendly patio!! I had the blackened chicken tacos and got the sliders to share with my dog. My wife got the French dip and our friend got the smokehouse burger. Have to say- amazing!! We will definitely be back!
I really loved my seafood pasta. I took home leftovers because it was such a big portion and had a great lunch the next day. The dessert was also very good and it's rare to find a restaurant with really good dessert. This is my favorite restaurant in Hershey so far & we will be returning here. It is pricey though. Think we paid $100 or more with tip. I don't like their system of charging you on the spot as opposed to presenting you with a check so you can look over the bill & decide the tip at your leisure. We went here over the summer when it's too crowded with tourists so I'd rather come here off season.
By far the best food we have had on our girls getaway in Hershey. The seafood pasta dish was delicious. The seafood was a substantial portion for the price, well cooked and took home enough for dinner the next day. My friend requested to get the Asian Chicken dish made with scallops instead and they were happy to do so with a cost increase which was completely expected. It was amazing perfectly cooked scallops and delicious, if I was nearby I would have asked for that on our next visit. Servers were spot on bring refills on drinks before they were empty. Also when we arrived we asked to sit outside but the hostess stated it’s going to rain in twenty minutes and we don’t want you to get wet and they were absolutely correct. Come eat here and make a reservation we are glad we did!!
Traveling with a friend for work and leisure last few days. Ate out a lot at nice places. This was the best food we have had. Buratta app, Shrimp Street Corn Risotto and Thai Wrap. Everything was AMAZING. The dressing on the wrap…everything was done and served to perfection. Service was great too. And good cocktails to top it off. Would come eat the exact same thing again!
Absolutely amazing!! They have fall drink and food specials and it was better then we could of expected. We will return and recommend to all.
The food was delicious. The restaurant was comfortable and family oriented. The staff was friendly. Only issue was the wait time to get our food. So go... don't miss out on the awesome food!
Love this place. First visit, but won’t be our last. The food is awesome, the atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant is top notch. The menu is very large with just about anything you could want. Ricky our server was great, he was friendly and helpful in helping us with our meal selections. It’s located right in the heart of town among all the other shops and restaurants. A real find for us, we will be back. Can’t wait to try other items on the vast menu.
OMG the PB cup milkshake martini was so good. Highly recommend. The Garlic fries were delicious
Nothing less than amazing. The food was amazing!! The meatballs were 10 out of 10!!! The peach margarita was soooooo good. I highly recommend this restaurant. Prices were fair and reasonable.
I’m giving a 5 because I have been here a few times and the food and service are consistently good. On this occasion we stopped in for dinner on the Saturday of Valentines weekend. We sat at the bar - that’s our preference - but it didn’t seem as busy as I was expecting, I’m sure due to the questionable winter weather forecast. We were greeted by the bartender immediately. We ordered drinks and dinner. The food was very good. They make the pasta in-house according to the menu and it was all delicious. We ended up getting the house-made peanut butter pie to go and it is currently in the freezer. I will update the post when we eat it just to let you know on that. The bartender, Dorrie, was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is laidback and casual. They have an outdoor patio that I have yet to be on. Hershey is local for us so we will be back here again I’m sure.
Our first time here because some friends recommended it. Delicious food!! So worth every penny. The crab cake was mostly crab and only a little “cake” to hold it together. Steak was good too! Wish I had asked for some steak sauce with it, but the mustard sauce side was delicious!! We’ll be back.
Full of flavor and texture and the staff were very friendly and helpful deciding what meals would be good to try out!
Nikita was a fantastic waitress and took very good care of our group. The PB Pie was unbelievable and the Steak + Cake were cooked perfectly. The mushroom risotto was also fantastic
We made a reservation for 8 PM and got sat a few minutes early. Everything here was delicious and nicely presented. My wife is impressed by small things like waitresses not needing to write anything down with accommodations she asks for due to her being a picky eater. Brandie was fantastic and everything came out perfect and timely. The food was delightful, atmosphere was very family friendly, and overall good. I don’t remember what my burger was called, but it had the bacon jam on it and it was amazing - I’ll get it again. We will be back to try the lobster risotto, based on other reviews. My wife was bummed that they ran out of peanut butter pie! That’s why we picked this place… next time!
Wait time was pretty manageable for rush hour on a Friday night. Service was great. Appetizers were served quick however the cheese fries did not have melted cheese. Food tasted great. If you are 1st responder or military they honor discounts.
Had a great meal at The Chocolate Avenue Grill in Hershey. The food was definitely the highlight—everything we ordered was well-prepared and flavorful, but the real standout was the steak frites. Cooked perfectly and paired with crispy, seasoned truffle fries, it’s something I’d absolutely go back for. The atmosphere was just okay—clean and casual, but nothing particularly unique or memorable. It’s not a place you go for the vibe, but if you’re looking for solid food and good service, it definitely delivers. Would recommend for a relaxed, satisfying meal.
Finally tried this restaurant. It did not disappoint. We had the cocoa scallops and the cherry bourbon pork chop. Both were fantastic. Added more pics of our recent visit.
We had a great experience last night before heading to Hershey Stadium. Our server, Joanne, was very attentive and sweet. I tried the Espresso No-tini Mocktail because I wanted a little extra caffeine for the evening, and I really enjoyed it. The Mexican Street Corn Risotto was really good with the grilled chicken. The garlic aioli that comes with the fries was delish! We also had the salad with grilled peaches and watermelon. The fruit was very flavorful and the dressing tangy! I will definitely be back on my next visit to Hershey.
This is now one of my favorite restaurants in PA! I visited for the first time despite living in the area for a few years now. They weren't super busy around 6 pm on a Sunday evening and we were seated immediately. We ordered the fried brussel sprouts with hot honey for app and it was delicious! We devoured it immediately, hence no picture. For entrees we got the lobster a la vodka (sub pappardelle for spaghetti), the lobster roll, and the Mexican street corn risotto with salmon and avocado. These were phenomenal. My husband is a fiend for lobster rolls and said this is the best one he's ever had here. We loved the pasta and were happy we got the pappardelle substitution. The pasta had a ton of lobster in it - so did the lobster roll. We were shocked and impressed. The street corn risotto was good and the salmon was perfectly cooked. We wouldn't add the avocado next time, since it's around a $3 upcharge. The specialty cocktails were beautiful and so good! We wanted to try the crème brûlée for dessert but it’s made in advance and sometimes they sell out of it. Next time!! Overall, great good, amazing service, parking available in the back or on the street, and prices aren't bad for the quality of food you get. We will be back!
Bryanna was a delightful server! Our food was delicious, unique, and well prepared. I am gluten-sensitive and allergic to dairy, and the chef makes something for me every time we dine. The martini was TO DIE FOR. Thank you for being the best restaurant in town!
Was there on a Sunday at 11:30 am and it was extremely busy! Which says it's a good eatery, but recommend reservations, which we had. Hostess was very accommodating in seating our group. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Everyone stated their food was excellent. My burger was perfect, and they have malt vinegar for the fries!
Had a great experience here as we spontaneously went out, looking for a good dinner. The wait for our table was reasonable given we had no reservation on a Saturday. Food was solid, my old fashioned was delicious and our server was amazing. Without a prompt from us they offered free dessert to us, because our main course took a little too long. Overall great for a spontaneous family dinner out.
Restaurant was wonderful and service was great from the time we walked in to the time we left. Our waitress was wonderful. Our wait time for a table on a Saturday was 30 minutes, which was not horrible at all. Food was absolutely delicious. I got the steak and crab cake with street corn risotto. My other half got the chicken parm. For an appetizer we had the meatball and focaccia. We will definitely be back as this was our first time there. Kudos, they give 10% off to first responders which is a huge bonus 👏👏 ( however I forgot to ask them to take it off when I was there 🤷♀️ )
Service was fast and efficient. The food portions were generous. I had the pittsburgh steak salad. Great balance of french fries and steak to salad. The brussel sprouts were delicious. The chicken gorgonzola salad was great. The prices were reasonable for the portion size and quality. Will definitely go back again.
Came here based on reviews. The mozzaluna was okay. Very crispy and the marinara was great! I think it needed a tad of salt but the flavor was great and passed cheese pull. The bruschetta was THE BEST. We had no balsamic. It had so much flavor and crunch h. The burger my husband enjoyed. I didn’t try it because I don’t like sauce. I did chefs pick from chicken parm and lasagna and chef picked chicken parm. It was good. The chicken had the right amazing of cheese. Maybe a little more sauce. As I said above the sauce needed a little something. Chicken was great. Very fresh and tender. Had the option of grilled or breaded. There were some parts that were too crispy for me. The drink was ok. Strong but delicious very coconutty. We skipped dessert as they ran out of baklava cheesecake but would come back when we’re in the area. Service was wonderful! Super fast and our server was super sweet and gave us great recommendations. She had a purple pad and I love purple!
I’ve had several people comment on this place so we finally tried it out. It was pretty good and I would definitely go back. We started out with a wait for a table so we went to the bar area. It took about 10 minutes for someone to wait on us. I had just started searching for other restaurants nearby but someone showed up before we left. From there, service was really great. We ended up with a table quicker than expected so we moved to it. I had the cheesesteak sandwich with fries and my wife had the short rib beef sandwich. Both were outstanding!! Our cocktails were also really good. The atmosphere was not quite cozy. In fact it was pretty basic. Not a lot of character. Would definitely be back but probably not until after trying some new places.
The Chocolate Avenue Grill is a restaurant you must try when you're in the Hershey, PA area. They serve delicious food in generous quantities at reasonable prices. The decor and atmosphere were upbeat and contemporary with friendly servers. The seafood parpadelle was excellent, full of pasta which had to be home made and the most tender and perfectly grilled scallops I've had in a very long time! There dish also included succulent grilled shrimp, and was topped with a mound of lump crab meat and garnished with pea shoot tendrils. If I return to the area, I'll visit them again.
Well, I was hopeful for this spot as I heard lots of good things. Brought some friends out here and was slightly disappointed in the food, but the atmosphere is pretty good. Food: Garlic Steak & Shrimp: couldn’t taste the garlic at all. Shrimp looked lightly steamed and not grilled. Ordered medium rare and it was more rare. Steak was very bland. Bone-in Ribeye: not very seasoned. Very bland. Crab cakes: Excellent. Tasted great. Atmosphere: was good. Do not recommend sitting in the bar IF you wanna watch the TVs. The TVs are partially blocked by lights that are hanging in front of them. Service: servers were excellent!!! Thank you Sasha!!!
This place has a pretty good selection on their menu. The hot honey goat cheese appetizer was great. Portion size on the actual entrees could be bigger especially for the prize. This place is pricey but as I stated, the menu will probably be a bit different than most places you go to. The drinks seemed to be hit or miss. One was great. The other didn’t have much flavor and I think they skipped the alcohol for one. It’s worth a stop.
The service and atmosphere was really good but the food was just ok. Hot Honey scallops were decent, along with the fries and kid's grilled cheese. The salads were very good. Didn't blow us away but it was fine.
This was our first visit here. It must be a popular spot bc it was packed on a Friday evening. We had a cocktail(strawberry lemon drop martini) and an appetizer of coconut shrimp. The cocktails were decent and the shrimp was better than average. There was nothing spectacular about our visit, but it was a nice place. Would probably go back and try dinner sometime.
Great decor and a wonderful staff. No wait time, a good menu and reasonable pricing. Only complaint was that the children's hamburger was like a dry brick, but it was taken off of the bill, so all is well.
The atmosphere was nice in the restraunt, they try and use all the space they can to provide as much seating as possible. The food was great and plentiful. The service was normal, nothing to write home about, but was acceptable and our server was involved. I would return to eat here again.
Im visiting Hershey for the night and speak to a few locals who recommend the chocolate avenue grill. I got 5 courses with varying degrees of quality. First was the white cranberry Cosmo which was delicious and well balanced. Second was the enchilada soup which was well seasoned third was the curry muscles which were very good. They had a few empty shells but it happens (I wish they had more heat but I understand having to cater to different spice tolerances) fourth was the main course of the short rib pasta. This was the only dish I truly had a problem with the pasta was a good texture but lacked salt. The sauce didnt really taste of anything besides salt, msg and black pepper and the meat itself wss good though. Lastly I had the peanut butter pie which was very rich and well balanced between chocolate and peanut butter. My server was very pleasant but not very opinionated and didnt seem to know the menu very well. 3 out of 5 stars
