Idk y the rating is low here the food was badass and cheap too. The price alone leaves a lot of room for error wich I couldn't find any so 10 out of 5 stars imo

If yall have never checked this place out you have got to try it! It's all the great Chinese food you could ever ask for in one small, nook in the wall,family run restaurant. Even some of the bigger places in big cities wouldn't be able to outdo them. It's everything and more you could ever want in one warm cozy place.

I was surprised it was as good as it was. More options than I expected and everything was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend the tiramisu cake.

Family friendly, Budget. The food is simply yet very yummy and flavorful. I had lunch $10 & hot tea $2, $12 + tax. Price is clearly posted in the front breezeway. Lunch: $9.99, Dinner $11.79. Very clean, staff was friendly, polite. Although there was a lot of steam coming from the buffet, food was not as warm as it should been. Maybe they should use food covers. Helping to support small local businesses.

Great place for a healthy and tasty meal for truck drivers. Park at Love's and walk 1 minute to this restaurant. Preorder and save time. I ordered shrimp fried rice and egg drop soup. Total was $11.80, lots of shrimps in the fried rice and soup was amazing too. Will definitely stop here again in the future.

Inside looks very clean but from the outside needs a little bit of work. It looks un inviting. Great fresh food, All you can eat place, great staff and pricing is very competitive. (Less than $16 including drink and dessert ). I have spent more $$ at some fast food places. I will definitely come back. Truck parking allowed and Love's Truck stop is just next door.

I park at the loves to do a 12 hour break. I walk over here and enjoy myself. I did arrive at 11:00 when they open. It was lunch time so there was a bunch of people coming in. So they food didn't sit long. The food was real good. I paid liked 12.00 I think. But it was really worth it. Can't speak on if you come in after lunch time. How the food will be. But it was fresh and good for me. And they where not stingy with the napkins at all.

We live in Hillsboro and it was our first time trying Golden Buffet. We ordered takeout so we get a feel for if we would like to go back in the future. The online app made it super easy to place the order. When my husband went to pick up the order he said the customer service was great and the lady was very kind. He had to wait a little but because they were still making one of our dishes, fresh. The portions were very generous and the food was delicious. It was still piping hot when we got it home and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We ordered spring rolls, hot and sour soup, general Tso's, szechuan chicken, fried rice and veggy lo mein. Definitely the best Chinese we've had in town. We will be going back to try the buffet so we can see which other dishes we enjoy. Just wondering what the best time is for dinner when food is the most fresh at the buffet?

The place is nice I've been going here since i was a kid. The food can be worse dependant on what time you go as it is a buffet and going at a later time then the lunch rush the food is sometimes cool or rather old but what can ya do its a buffet lol.

Don't let the outside deter you from coming into this buffet.... This place needs a little make over but the food and the staff are extremely good....This place has awesome customer service and great food..... I came in because I was waiting on my truck to be fixed at a shop several miles down the road.... As I walked in the front door I was promptly greeted by a friendly lady that sat us down and took our drink orders.... I proceeded to grab a plate and fill it up.... What I really liked were the stuffed mushrooms with cheese.... They were flavorful.... Another item I liked was the sweet and sour chicken.. The chicken was moist and juicy. It tasted very appetizing.... As soon as my drink was even close to halfway the waitress was quick to refill my drink. So the staff here is very attentive of you.... If I'm back in the area I will definitely stop in again.... I have no complaints about food or staff at Golden Buffet.

I was hesitant because of the reviews but we are traveling and this place was conveniently set off the highway. Not much too look at from the outside. We were greeted nicely, service was great. The food was hot and flavorful. Salad area was good and fresh. I gave it a 4 only because it was very simple like any other little buffet Chinese place. I would recommend for simple quick food, easy in and out.

I wish there was like a 3.8 star because this place is better than three stars, but not quite four. Traveling and decided to stop for dinner. It was either there or fast food. I took a chance. It's not bad at all. It does feel dirty, but hey I fish for a living. Not a huge variety of Chinese, but it's all good. Nothing questionable, she's that's always good for a buffet. All the tables are sticky. I dont know why, but they are. I always have the same thing when i go, I have green beans and chicken wings, a little rice. Its normally cold, but this time, they were warm. The wings are hard, very crunchy. My husband gets an assortment of food. The mushrooms are delicious, he says. He also enjoys the crab legs. The food tonight was warm, not hot. We filled ourselves. The sesame chicken never has sesame seeds ever.

The selection is about the typical fare for a small Chinese style buffet with a variety of Asian inspired and American dishes available to choose from. My only food complaint is that some things that are, typically, not spicy we're pretty spicy. The facility seemed well used, but was clean and presentable. I give a 4 star because it could be better and those surprise spicy dishes. Definitely recommend the place though.

Pros & Cons -Pros- - They allowed my extremely well-behaved "service" dog without saying a word, which I greatly appreciate and that alone brought this 3 star review up to 4 stars - All of the female staff were very warm and welcoming - Most of the food was hot - The dinning room was calm and relaxing - Buffet seems appropriately priced for what ypu are getting ($13.99 dinner) - I did not notice any dirty dishes - There's scoop ice cream - I found about 3-4 plates of good food, I left happy and bloated -Cons- -The owner/manager (I'm not sure who he was) did not seem very happy that the girls allowed my dog - All of the male staff were cold and giving me looks - While most of the food was hot, I did come across a couple cold bites. Particularly the baked whitefish, the entire fish filet was far too cold to be edible - Basically all of the fried items were not the greatest, and the deserts were pretty bland as well. But there were many other good options to choose from! - No military discount??

Don't look like the greatest places in the world to eat. But other than a lil run down old building. Its actually got pretty good chinese food that you'd see on a buffet. Actually better than some of the nicer looking places down the road. Tips to remember, if there's tractor trailors parked there, its gotta be pretty good. Not the cleanest place I've ate wasn't really dirty. Just old I guess. Food was real good, egg rolls, sweet biscuits and those lil rangoon dumplings is how I usually rate a Chinese place and they were all good. Food was fresh, rice was delicious and the buffet options were a plenty. If you trying to find a nice cheapish buffet, don't let the building fool ya. Its pretty good.

Average selection. Food was at room temperature so it didn't stay hot for long on plate. Staff was friendly and attentive. Dessert selection left a lot to be desired for. Still it's nice to have options other than eating at the truck stop.

As a first time guest having dinner on a Friday at 5pm here are my personal pros and cons; Pros: Staff; Friendly & Hospitable. Pros: Price; woohoo! I believe you get a good selection of food for $9.99. Drinks, additional for $1.98. I had water (free) & my husband had hot tea, which he enjoyed. Pros: Chop Sticks; are available if requested, which is part of the experience, always ask for them, they are fun to use. Pros: Temperature; Hot food was hot & cold food is cold. Pros & Cons: Food; I kept to the basic food items, after hearing other reviews of others loving the food & some having tummy troubles. We enjoyed the fried rice, low mein, sweet/sour chicken, chicken kabobs, sausage, beef broccoli, ribs, potatoes, spring rolls, salad & cucumber salad. The salad choices, well you have none, it's just lettuce and dressing, no toppings. I did not like the peppered chicken or orange chicken. The chicken tasted off. It wasn't the seasoning, it was the chicken itself. So I spit it into my napkin. I know better, if my tongue says no...my body is screaming don't swallow. For me, better to be safe than sorry & have tummy troubles or worse. Bad past experiences at other restaurants have taught me when to wave a red flag. We did not try the seafood so I cannot comment. Pros & Cons: Cleaniness; The womans restroom was clean overall, but I had no hot water to wash my hands. Areas around the food is clean. For me the dining area & entrance need a deep cleaning. The windows & blinds are dirty/dusty. Con: Interior Decor/Environment; is out dated and needs a facelift. The lighting is off with different colored bulbs, which makes the place feel dark. The blinds are broken and I want to look outside, but can't. My experience eating at the Golden Buffet was ok, which is why I gave it a 3 star. Not horrible, but not amazing. Change up the decor, brighten the lights, cook fresher chicken, offer salad toppings and I may have to come back and give it a 5 star, but for today, 3 stars is fair. It’s your average Chinese buffet. They have parking for semi truckers. Some items were cold, but the hot items were good like the soups and chicken wings and crab ragoons . The green beans and orange chicken were cold, seems like they were relying on the heat lamp to warm it up right out of the fridge.

I'm a buffet person. I like variety and they had a nice selection. The people were pleasant and curtious.. But if you're looking for a nice place with atmosphere this is not for you. Don't get me wrong the food was great and fresh but talk about an old run down building.

It was a nice change of pace coming here. I usually cook in my truck. The food was good but it would be cold by the time you get back to the table. The heat lamps above the food is on low. So it doesn't keep food hot as people would want it. But more people was coming in during lunch and they started cooking fresh food. All in all it was great. Plus the hostess is nice and adorable.

The outside of the building is not to appealing but the staff was friendly and courteous. Food was continuously refreshed but FOR ME there was nothing i tried that i feel i have to come back for.

Parked at the loves and walked over here.... Wasn't bad.... I've had better, I've had worse.... It's a smaller buffet... Didn't have some of my favorites, but had some others that I like..... It filled me up, and that was my intention.... I'd give it a 6.5 out of 10.....

Unfortunately too often the food is cold on the buffet lines. We have come here many times because the food is really good when it's hot. But Unfortunately too many times we have gotten food that not only wasn't hot but was cold like completely unheated. Won't be returning after the last time where only 1 item I got in 2 trips to the buffet was hot and that was rice. All of the meat dishes were cold

Been here a few times. This time my Mother & I experienced a few of the chicken dishes that the chicken was to hard to chew. The green beans were a little to hard to chew also. The rest was good. We went around 6:30 that Sunday night.

It was OK not alot of selections to choose from and the food was cold. I wanted to ask if they could microwave it to heat it up. Fried dumpling was super cold the chicken was cold. I think it would have been good if food was hot and fresh.

-1 star price hiking. -2 stars dinner time food is luke warm / cold. I've been there 3 times so far over the past month. 1st time for lunch it cost $11.79, The second time for lunch it cost $13.79, and The third time for dinner it cost $14.79. I'm not sure why they keep price hiking all within a month. If I go again, I'll just ask what the price is before I start eating. They have listed prices outside near the door before you enter, but that price is way off! I can only think they increase your price based on what you eat. They stand near the buffet watching everything you take from it. The Dinner time is the worst time to go as most of the food is either cold or like warm. Unless your eating everything the fat people are eating, the healthier items will just be cold. The Lunch time buffet is awesome as the two times I was there, all the food was piping hot! So, I only recommend going there for lunch and don't go there for dinner, unless your extremely hungry and don't care about eating old and cold food. I wonder if the next price of my single meal will increase again...I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ASKING them for the price of the meal BEFORE sitting down to eat as to make sure your price doesn't fluctuate! 3 times in the same month the price increased! Makes no sense. Edit 14-oct-2021 - LOOK UP before you sit. Make sure there isn't any air conditioning vent above you. It will rain down on you and into your meal. The vents leak and drip water. They need to get that fixed! I bet it violates health codes somewhere! I'm keeping it two stars because I might still go back. The food is good even if pricy.

It doesn’t matter if they got fresh food and very great customer service how ever their restroom smells bad and not clean or too old and when you see to the roofs and the fun lot of dust restaurant have to be cleaned well and maintained before opening I don’t understand why

I was here again couple of years ago and at that time, it wasn't bad for the price. But now, the price has gone up way too much for what little selection of food you have to choose from. Being a truck driver, it's a change from the limted places you can eat while you're on the road, but from this last visit, I'd rather choose the options of what Love's Travel Center has to offer, even better yet, there's a Mexican restaurant right across the street from this place that I'll certainly check out next time.

For a chinese buffet, it's very, very so so... Nothing. To write home about it at all very limited in options and just about as generically, bland as can be...Now my waitress Lindsay, she was as sweet as could be and deserves. All but you can offer her in terms of appreciation... And anybody else if she ever decides to look for a different position she deserves it because she is a sweetheart

Service was ok but place was humid inside. Table was sticky and you are allowed one plastic fork. You have to wear plastic gloves they provide at the buffet. Not impressed with the place.

Food is Blah tasting and is cold on the plate within 5 minutes of serving. I only stop by Golden Buffet every once in awhile to take a break from all of the Mexican Restaurants and Hamburger Shacks. Everytime I visit Golden Buffet I tell myself I won't go back but I always do for the reasons I mentioned above. I keep hoping they will improve.

Went at lunch on the weekend. Should be a good buffet time. The food was just ok at best. Most things I got were not hot, so old. A few items were fresh but not many. I tried most items to find out what was best. The mushrooms with jalapeños was the best house made dish. Fried shrimp was good, but they didn't bread it. Second, the place is not clean. The tables are sticky. They need the finish redone or they or replaced. The air vents simply need dusting. A downer. Service was not good. Only a handful of people in there but no drink refills or even a table visit. Casher was not nice either. I can't return here.

total let down...i love Chinese Restaurants...just moved to area we went looking for Chinese first day...the place is run down which isnt too much of an issue, but its old dirty run down. The ppl were pleasant, the food broke my heart.. mediocre at best, not a lot variety (looks nothing like the pics-must been pre 2020) and we got u know tummy sick later that night...and local friends said "oh yeah that place will straight mess u up"...sadly we are heartbroken and can't go back...not worth the price u pay once u get home...🤢😭

Left the buffet about an hour ago, And I had to make two stops on the way home, and I've been to the bathroom 4 times since being home. I've never had any other problems with any other chinese buffet. This places food is cold, dry, and old like it's been sitting out for hours. I'm pretty sure I got food poisoning. If this keeps up, I'll be going to the doctor. Then calling for them to reimburse my money. Cook your food properly! And throw it out when old!

Absolutely terrible... food was cold, the wait staff were rude, the place was dirty and needs updating. As I was paying, the cook came out with food and the walls into the kitchen was DISGUSTING 🫣. It was horrible the chicken was overcooked there wasn't one form of shrimp in there that was not so mushy that you couldn't tell that it was the texture of the shrimp you're right the green beans were way too hard to chew and they were wrinkled so that means that they were sitting on the buffet for a long time. If you look above you you cannot tell if that is either mold on the popcorn ceiling or actual filth it was horrible my son and I did not eat dinner but my grandchildren did and my grandson got sick that night I will not go back I would not recommend anybody to go there. And when I ask for a manager on Valentine's night there was not one there was not a manager in the restaurant on a Friday night on Valentine's

Worst place I’ve ever eaten. Bathrooms are disgusting, mold everywhere, when checking out they charged me $45 for 2 buffets and a water when sign says $11.99 each. Then tried too say I didn’t pay for sodas I never even got.

The food was ok but not much of a variety that was good. They freshened the buffet but added in the old dried up food that looked like it had been there since they opened. The restrooms were disgusting the bottom of the toilets were black the smell was atrocious. The owner or manager came in and sent our waitress to refill the buffet . Then never came to get us more drinks or clean the table. All in all not a good experience We definitely will not be going back. There was to much dirty ,walls, tables, chairs, buffet tables, windows, blinds, doors for management and or owners to be standing around talking.

Besides the very small selection of food, overcooked meats, lack of sauces in the dishes they are home to at least one rat bigger than my foot that looked like it ate extremely well and was very comfortable in the dining area. The staff didnt seem surprised. Just gross!!!

My family went and ate here today and I left there sad and angry. It costed almost $20 per person for buffet plus a drink. The selection was limited and the quality was BAD, this was most definitely the WORST Asian buffet I've ever had. This was not just my own opinion, but my husband and sons were also just extremely disappointed. The restaurant was on the warm side as well. When we walked in, the hostess tried to seat us over by the windows and it was super hot over there. I actually have a serious heart condition so heat does not sit well with me. I asked 3 times to be sat in the booths, away from the sunroom windows and she finally let us sit where I asked but she really didn't want to sit us there. It was really ODD, there were other people sitting over there. I don't understand the attitude. We spent almost $80 for terrible food and bad service. NEVER EVER AGAIN!! I highly suggest that others just eat elsewhere.

Chinese is possibly my favorite food but, this one had no sushi, 2 vegetables, everything fried was over fried, the fish was fried but so much breading the fish was raw, chicken was way over cooked, crayfish was the size of thumb, no general, it just wasnt worth it, wont be back. Back on October the 10th. of 2019 my wife and I went to enjoy a good meal. This is what I observed how the bathroom looked which was very unsafe and smelled like urine. I also noticed that there was very little food on the buffet at 845 PM. I asked about if they had a little more of the Black Pepper Chicken. I was told by the server she'd go look. She was immediately told by this guy (don't know his name) that was running the register said the kitchen is closed. I then asked why and was told that it was closed because they close @ 930 PM. I asked why they closing at 930 PM when the front door clearly said 10PM. This just showed that they don't show care for the customers as well as safety of the customer. I'd given a no star review if it was possible for my wife and I was very disappointed. I wouldn't recommend this place and feel the health department should go in and check the temperatures of the food as well. For some of my food was also cold at the time I got it off the buffet.

I'm going to tell you my experience here was pretty nice 👍 except one thing. I ate the food and within 10 minutes of leaving it was cleansing my colon so good I had to sit near a toilet. I know we all have come to expect this of Chinese food, but seriously 10 minutes that's a new record if you ask me. I didn't even have time to deploy the anti-diarrhea pills yet. The food was good, hot, and the service was good, but that fast acting diarrhea is just a deal breaker. This cost me two hours I could have been on the road.

First of all I'll start with the food. My first plate was mostly cold, including the fish. My friends plate most everything was cold. Second and third plates were hot after informing them. He got a refund, I went ahead and ate. The bathroom was very dark with poor lighting. There was literally snot and dried spit on the walls. I can't say I recommend this place and hoping I don't get sick. Very rarely do I leave negative reviews, but this place was a bit... Disgusting!
