Great for family and friends. Had a great time. Felt harassed by sales staff. Said no, meant no, big push. Friends not impressed by persistence. Girls week. Overall very nice, Friends first time, loved it.

We loved it here. We took amazing pictures. We sat on the swings and relaxed as we listened to the music. Our room was big and amazing. We played pool, and my daughter enjoyed the indoor pool. It was a great time. They have corn hole, fire pits, foosball, paddle ball, pool, and many pool, even a lazy river thats heated to 85°F. The staff was amazing and so kind.

This is a delicious vacation club, rooms are very comfortable, several jacuzzis spread in the property, bike rentals, indoor pool, activities. We stayed for 2 weeks in the winter and we are already planning to come back!

We have visited twice. Love everything about the resort. The location, the cleanliness, the pools, game areas, activities. The movie by the pool was a nice experience our kids enjoyed. Very nice and courteous staff. It was great to wake up early and see the sunrise. You can rent bikes and take them everywhere. Bike ride by the beach is a must. Nice well-maintained tennis courts you can reserve for 1 hr, which is plenty for a couple or a group of 4. The villas are nice and well maintained. The response from maintenance to issues was fast and effective. We will be back.

Love this place! The staff are always very nice, helpful, and go above and beyond to ensure you have the most relaxing stay. They also have an activity room now with lots of puzzles and games for all ages. The pools are cleaned consistently and the properties are clean. The beach is super easy to access via their boardwalks and sand carpets (lol sorry I don't know what they're actually called). I cannot recommend this place enough! Thanks for an always amazing vacation!

Rented an owner's week here... Rooms are spacious and clean, and the kitchen is adequately equipped for eating in (though they could use some better grill tools than one nylon spatula). The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great location and beach access, lots of pools, and an on-site pool and beach bar and grill (also open to the beach public). If you want a nice place for a relaxing beach vacation, this place is all you need.

Nice stop on the way to Florida. I was surprised how warm it was in the am. Enjoyed walking the beach and had a great breakfast at the nearby French Bakery Great hot tubs to relax in and listen to the ocean

The rooms are very clean and spacious. I love having a patio overlooking the pool area.

You are limited on drinks for activities. One Mirmosa per person. That is an insult. 2 small pour wines. Other marriott time shares don't limit the drinks. All else is great

Grande Ocean is a great Marriott Vacation Club location, especially in off season. The activity staff does a wonderful job keeping us old folks entertained.

Stayed here with the family for four days. Suite and surrounding property was very clean and well organized. Parking was difficult - but we visited during a busy time. Kitchen was functional which works well when you have the whole family with you. Proximity of both the ocean and the pools was also very handy. Located in a good area close to restaurants, shopping and other activities. We will definitely plan to stay again in the future.

This resort is really great. There is lots of space in the room and on the property. Many pools and hot tubs to enjoy. The food at the bar and grill was really good. They had bike rental, but we didn't utilize that. Only stayed 3 nights. Although it is kid friendly, I would leave the kids home. There's not much to do for kids here (besides the pools), although it could be the time of year we visited (early March).

I’ve been coming to Marriott’s Grande Ocean since 1992 when I was a kid, and now I bring my own children. It’s rare that a place can consistently exceed expectations over decades, but this resort truly delivers—every single time. I’m not easy to please, but Grande Ocean checks all the boxes. The condos are spacious, impeccably clean, and have everything you need to settle in and relax. The beds are super comfortable, and the full kitchen and laundry make family trips so much easier. The amenities are fantastic—multiple pools, activities for all ages, and the beach is just steps away. The location is absolutely perfect. One of the biggest bonuses is the complimentary access to Sea Pines. We went to Harbour Town almost every night for dinner—such a fun, scenic spot with great restaurants and views. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. We also loved Loggerhead Landing—the onsite restaurant. The food is actually really good, and it’s so nice having a casual dining option right on property. Marriott’s Grande Ocean continues to be a treasured getaway for our family. We can't wait to return again and again—it’s simply the best Hilton Head has to offer.

An excellent resort all around. Thank you for having so many trees and shrubs around the property. I am sure that they add significant amounts of labor cleaning up leaves, but they give the resort a tropical feel. Also thank you for being smoke free and pet free. Just a beautiful resort!

We just came back from a week long vacation at the Marriott grand ocean resort in Hilton head. My two kids were doing a week tennis camp at Van Der Meer just down the street. My wife and I took advantage of the tennis clinics at the Marriott. Mark and Debra were awesome instructors and made the clinics fun and informative. My tennis game definitely improved by the end of the week. The resort had many pools and hot tubs and it never felt crowded. The beach was also amazing. A few things I would have liked are a beach volleyball net at the resort, access to spike ball every day (they only have a spike ball event for one hour a week), and bettwer food options. The lager head restaurant had mediocre food. Overall highly satisfied and I will be back again.

Just lovely. Even the far corners of the resort here are pretty and all are close to the beach. The staff from the gentlemen and ladies who clean the pool daily (yes, we do see how hard they work), to cleaning the paths, the rooms, the restaurant staff, hospitality and the management who send daily notifications to do our part to protect the rare nesting loggerhead turtles and advised of of hurricane Milton's path going elsewhere...thank you one and all for an absolutely lovely experience. The property may speak for itself, but the staff here makes it all the better.

Vacation Club Owners with Marriott. Though an older resort, it has been well kept and updated. Modern fixtures and decor. Several pools and family areas as well as more quiet zones. Bike rentals available on site as well as many amenities.

Our room had space for all 6 of us and the pool was great. Hallie’s classes were a ton of fun (I went to almost every one). The beach location is very convenient and perfect for sunset photos.

Great staff and services. The 3 bar staff need to be friendly and smile. They don't seem to be happy with their jobs. The young woman who delivered our food orders to the bar was exceptionally friendly and had a beautiful smile. Keep up the good work. The water aerobics and yoga instructor was off the charts wonderful. She had great instruction, was informative and was truly into her job. Thanks Michelle!!! I can't say enough about her. The grounds, pool, setting and hot tubs were all awesome! I thank Mallory for her room recommendation near the Dolphin pool in the Starfish building. We loved it there! Thanks again Mallory for your honesty which is so rare these days. Customer service is honesty in my opinion and you fit the mold. Thanks to the rest of the staff for your assistance to make our stay great. I can't remember all your names but I we appreciate your hard work! Thank you!

I have been coming to HHI Marriotts for the past 20 years. This was our first time staying at Grande Ocean. Everything was clean and fresh. The internet briefly went out and was addressed immediately (within 24 hours). Our condo was spacious and comfortably slept my family. We had cooked in a few nights and the kitchen had everything I needed. One request: would be grilling tools. The front desk was friendly and accommodating. Other guests seemed friendly and happy as well which also should be contributed to the hospitality of this Marriott.

We have been coming here since 1994 and have never been disappointed. We have seen so many improvements over the years. Staff is always very helpful. Requests are always handled promptly. We love coming here...it's like coming home once a year.

This location provides free access to the sea pines resort and ease of access to the ocean. And beach

Ocean front is different from ocean view. Building was; view wasn't. One thing I observed is that each resort on the beach has one or more similar paths/mats that lead from the property to the beach. When going for a run down the beach and then returning, one path/property looks much like another. What would be helpful is if on the beach side, there was a sign or a simply a number identifying the property. That way, when returning to the property from the beach, you could look for that identifier to allow you to easily return to the same location.

We had an ideal family vacation here. The staff is uniformly, friendly and pleasant. They work hard to do absolutely anything they can to make your stay better. They have a great tennis program as well as a beautiful beach and many fun pools, including an indoor pool. If you are considering Hilton head, this is the place you should check out first.

We always enjoy our stay here when on HHI. The staff is very professional & friendly with lots of southern hospitality! Location is great for exploring the forefoot area of HHI & Sea Pines lighthouse area. Very large property with a big beachfront.

Amazing experience. I have been trying to get into the Marriott Grande Ocean for many many years. Finally had an opportunity to experience the beautiful Resort and the amazing sunset. You are not promised your booking category as far as Oceanside or ocean view. So it’s important that you express your request ahead of time. The Rooms are very clean neat and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I found the fitness center to be slightly smaller than other resorts, especially for the size and the number of guests. Although everything is flat, you still need to be able to walk to other buildings to access certain amenities.

Nice facility. Rooms are large. Two large pools. Outdoor bar has friendly staff.

The view was amazing. Ocean view is absolutely amazing. Service very very good. The pools and beach great. Live music. Definitely great for whole family. Clean. Everything from room to shared spaces immaculate. Only thing that was a surprise was that while the room was updated, there were weird things they skipped, like the office chair was so old that it was actually torn badly all over. I’ve never stayed in a hotel with ripped furniture. Then the bed itself was super soft. It took me a week for my back to stop hurting after the trip. But if you like soft beds you’ll be happy. Overall, the family loved it so much, and it was such a great location and clean etc, that we will definitely return and already booked our second trip!

The amenities on the property are great. The one thing we were highly disappointed in was our "oceanfront room." I am not accustomed to barely seen the ocean when you book an ocean front room. I believe if we had a partial view room it would have been better then the one we had. We did get to observe a mother nature with seeing a family of birds feeding their babies. What we are accustomed to and what we received this trip was highly disappointing. Especially being Marriott owners for the decades we have been. In general the rooms were nice the view was not. The property location in regards to where it is on HHI was well situated, not a far drive or bike ride to where we wanted to go.

I wish I could give a 5 star review but I can't. The resort weathered Idalia hurricane very nicely. They communicate well during that storm and also throughout our visit; unfortunately we lost hot water in our villa bldg for over 12 hours. Additionally we scheduled a room cleaning for a Monday morning at 10:00. With having plans it was crucial they arrived in the morning. They showed up at 3:00 as I needed to shower for our appointment. So a five star review is not possible. The resort is nicely located with good access to the beach. The staff is friendly.

A good location right on the beach. Typical service and staff for this type of location. The rooms were in decent condition.

1. Shouldn't have to pay $6.00 for a can of beer if you want to lounge by the pool. Bringing your own beverages is not permitted. 2. No place on the property to get a coffee and/ or pastry before 12 noon.

Our yearly vacation spot. Perfect location,great rooms,front desk staff very friendly and accommodating. The pool bar staff needs a few lessons in customer service and friendliness. The north pool area wasn't as tidy, and pool walls and ledges could use a cleaning.

Love you the resort layout, location and service. My only complaint is the fitness center in comparison to other Marriott timeshare locations I have visited is undersized and under equipped. Food on Hilton Head is overpriced but you know that before you come.

I recently stayed at Marriott’s Grande Ocean and really enjoyed the experience. The location is excellent, just a few steps from the beach, which made it easy to enjoy the ocean throughout the stay. Guests also have access to Sea Pines, which is a great added benefit. The property is well maintained, and the grounds are clearly cared for. Our unit was spacious and very clean, with plenty of room to relax comfortably. While the interior isn’t the most updated, everything was in good condition and thoughtfully maintained, which made the space feel welcoming and functional. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a clean, spacious resort in a prime beachfront location with convenient access to nearby attractions.

The only reason I didn’t give this a total five star rating is because there’s a hidden $25 a day parking fee that was very unclear to me until I checked in. Otherwise, this is a beautiful place with every amenity you can think of. We had a 2 Bedroom place and it’s so roomy. The kitchen has everything you could need. Spotless clean. This is the third year we have stayed here and we will be back.

Beautiful, well kept condo resort but tough to rate. Marriott's practice to over charge, change policies, high pressure sales, fees upon fees, staggeringly high drink and food charges make it clear Marriott only cares about how much they can take from captive vacationers . Service, nice people but no one seems to know the rules. I learn something new, different, or contrary with each conversation.

Large complex and beautiful location on the. beach. However, the property is dated, the apartments are old fashioned requiring a lot of improvement, especially with the furnishings. Food and store options are very limited. We have lived in much nicer Vacation Clubs.

Room smelled like mold and seemed dirty. Ask for a late check out and they only gave us an additional 15 mins. Took all day to get new towels. The grounds and pool areas are beautiful.

We are long time Marriott VC owners at another HHI resort but have swapped for Grande Ocean many times for its great oceanfront location. However, tonight we checked in to our villa to find not the 2 Bedroom, 1 King, 2 Queen villa we reserved but a 2 Bedroom, 1 King, ONE Queen room. Which means one person has to sleep on a sofa bed (unacceptable for the prices paid). The front desk said that 10% of the villas have this set up and there was no other available oceanfront villas open. I said they could downgrade us (with compensation) but I was told they “can’t downgrade after checking in”. I get that it’s a holiday. I understand that it’s busy. But nowhere on my reservation does it say this type of room was a possibility and I also wasn’t told that we’d be missing a bed at check-in. We were told that “maybe” we could move in 2-3 days if something opens up. I’m beyond mad, given the fees already paid and the fact that this villa reservation was made 11 months ago, that we were given a lousy room without proper accommodations for 4 people.

We reserved a room with 1 king, 2 queens, and a sofa pullout. We were given a room with 1 King, 1 queen, and 2 sofa pull outs. Great location. Cleanliness was fine.

Our recent stay at the Marriott Grande Ocean was disappointing. The rooms are dated and in serious need of renovation, which does not match the premium rates charged. The staff was generally unhelpful and not particularly accommodating, making the experience frustrating rather than relaxing. Most concerning, however, is the terminology the property uses when describing “ocean views.” It feels deliberately misleading, as what’s marketed as an ocean view can turn out to be far from it. On top of that, guests who rent from owners are placed at the very bottom of the room selection hierarchy, regardless of loyalty or cost. For a resort under the Marriott Vacation Club brand, we expected far better transparency, service, and upkeep. Unfortunately, we left feeling deceived and dissatisfied.

Such a beautiful hotel but the gate staff was extremely rude. I own a time share and wanted to see the hotel to see if I wanted to stay there in the future. The staff was so rude after being there for 5 minutes, I don’t recommend going if you would like to enjoy your time

As a Marriott Vacation Club Owner - very disappointed with the room; our reservation was made over 13 months ago and we did not get our selection; we selected ocean front and paid ocean front prices but didn't receive this selection. the business operations manager didn't seem to care; he said that the buildings are ocean front; not necessarily the room; false advertising; took our money.... didn't deliver. the front desk personnel are uninformed and do not have an understanding of the property. There are many other properties on Hilton Head Island that are also on the beach. Buyer Beware choosing the Marriott's Grande Ocean and an ocean front room.
