The Grove Savannah

Went to The Grove for Mother’s Day dinner. What a great choice! We had dinner downstairs. Started with fries drizzled with jalapeño honey and Southern Caviar for appetizers. Both we very tasty. For dinner I had the Nashville Hot Chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts with bacon. It was excellent. My wife had the Succotash with rotisserie chicken, shrimp and sausage. She liked it. For a drink my wife tried the Rosemary Sweet Tea. After dinner we decided to go to the rooftop for dessert. The wife had the Cheesecake and Popsicle Champagne. I had the Salted Caramel Gelato. Yummy! The rooftop is small but there is plenty of seating. Highly recommend!

Good restaurant with very nice vibes and decoration. The staff is very nice and supportive I asked them for a more quiet table and the helped us immediately. The menu is limited but with different type of food. The Hummus was super good. They also have a rooftop bar with great views and atmosphere during the night. We loved eating here! Beautiful view from the rooftop, great drinks. The Cajun pasta was extremely good. The salmon dish was good.

Enjoyed a nice Sunday Brunch. Food was very good. Our server did a nice job. The place was clean with a good atmosphere. I look forward to returning and enjoying a Happy Hour on the rooftop. We ate inside on this occasion since it was a bit cold outside. But the rooftop looks like a great experience.

The food is good. The restaurant and bar is very nice. Those adult capri suns are THE BEST!

We decided to come here based on a lawyer friend of ours that heard good things about the place. It turned out to be a great suggestion. The food was really good, we split an order of the Cajun Angels (shrimp wrapped in bacon) and the Pesto Chicken club sandwich with a side of the Jalepeño honey fries (awesome) meal for two. Portion sizes were very good and the drinks were equally as amazing. 1st time here but would definitely come back. They have a rooftop bar and tables as well but it was closed at the time but it looked very nice as well.

Fresh open atmosphere downstairs. Large center bar with casual seating around. Friendly staff in the heart of the historic district. We came in for a quick bite and were extremely impressed. BBQ sauce for chicken sliders is homemade delicious must try. The honey jalapeño drizzle fries are perfectly cooked fresh cut fries with a sweet kick. Try the Orange Fizz for a orange creamsicle throwback.

We had a great late lunch here in the rooftop seating. The view of the city is excellent. The service was great considering it was minimally staffed and we had a party of 9. The shrimp burger was surprisingly good and the french fries were also great, Honey Drizzle all the rizzle. They have some very nice cocktails too. We had several kids with us and everyone had no problem getting something they like. I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone.

Server was great. She was super friendly. She was the best server I ever had! I believe her name was Amber! Shout out to her. Food was amazing and THE DESSERT… wow! 10/10.

Outstanding locally owned upscale American Restaurant with awesome rooftop bar. Starting with their fresh french fries with Jalapeño Honey Drizzle was excellent. For main entrees our table enjoyed the club sandwich, Nashville hot chicken & fish. The side salad was outstanding served with pickled onions. The service was top notch for the entire meal. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food and service you receive

This was the cutest place!! We sat at the bar (full menu) and the service was amazing as was the food. The honey drizzle fries were insane so good!!! Their ranch was delic I got the chicken tenders with fruit. The fruit selection was all the best- blueberries and strawberries and grapes and pineapple. Then the cheesecake was soooo creamy and fresh. I also had the cruel summer capri which was so tasty. We never had to look around or wait for service and the food came out so quick and everyone was so kind and welcoming! Can’t recommend enough

We were walking and stopped in. The food was amazing!!! We had the Cajun angels (bacon wrapped shrimp) with chicken tacos and honey drizzle fries. We sat at the bar with Kyle. We got our food extremely fast. Hubby and I plan to be back! Update- we back a few hours later and got more drinks, wings and dessert!!! Still 2 👍🏽s up Update 2- we came bk the next day and went to the another level. The food was still awesome and we met another great bartender- Buck. This has officially become my come to spot in Savannah!!!

Nick H. was hands down the most fun bartender we've ever had! 🍸 From the moment we sat down, he made the experience feel personal—crafting cocktails with us in mind, not just pulling from a menu. Very nice. Great bar had Adult Capri Sun, Pink Parody, & Old Fashion. Would definitely come back. Bartender Gerardo was awesome!

I absolutely love The Grove in downtown Savannah! Nick W. is an exceptional bartender who always pours drinks professionally and deliciously. He remembers my order every time and is incredibly attentive. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the live music really elevates the experience. Highly recommend this spot!

Came in on a Saturday around 2. We are local and have been frequent Grove guests. Have not been in awhile. We had excellent service from the get-go from Mariah and DaJuan. They were both so warm and friendly and they both gave us such great service. My husband had the Cobb Salad, I had the Monte Cristo, both were so so good. We ordered the wings also. I had my usual Champagne Pop and my husband had a Bloody Mary. He said it was the best Bloody Mary he has had anywhere. Can not wait to come back and we will most definitely be asking for Mariah or DaJuan or both!!!

We found this place while looking for a kid-friendly restaurant that didn’t need a reservation on a weekend evening. Given the location in a touristy area I didn’t have high expectations for the food but boy was I wrong! We ordered the Parmesan Pasta and the Thyme Chicken and were blown away by the flavor of both. I wish I could have tried more dishes. Top marks for service too - our server, Jake, was kind to us and our toddler and the manager also came by to check on us.

We were recommended to stop by The Grove while in Savannah and it did not disappoint! We had interaction with a ton of staff and they were all amazing, but Nick the bartender was our guy! He made custom drinks all night, each one better than the last. We had so much fun that we came back the following night. This will be on our list every time we're in town! Nick (and Nick), Matt, Jake, and everyone else, thank you for a wonderful time!

We were in town with a large group this weekend and had a great brunch at the Grove Saturday mid morning. It is always hard with a big group and they were very accommodating for table of 9. Our server was great, the bloody mary's were delicious, and all of our food was excellent. I highly recommend trying them out if you are in the area.

I had such a great experience at The Grove! The atmosphere was welcoming and fun, but what really made the night was our bartender, Nick W. He was absolutely fantastic—super knowledgeable about the menu and drinks, and he made some excellent recommendations. On top of that, he was incredibly friendly and had everyone laughing the whole time. It’s rare to find someone who’s not only skilled at their craft but also makes you feel like a regular on your first visit. If you’re heading to The Grove, do yourself a favor and grab a seat at Nick’s bar—you won’t be disappointed!

We sat at the bar upstairs. Great vibe and heavy poured drinks! My BLT was awesome! The wife said the sauce on her fish tacos was overpowering everything on the tacos. I had to agree after I tried it. The fries are legit the best fries ever!

The Grove Savannah rooftop was nice. While the tables were a bit lower than we preferred, the food was outstanding. We also appreciated the chance to chat with the restaurant manager, who was warm, welcoming, and attentive to our experience. Our waitress, however, was not as attentive as we would have liked, leaving us to manage on our own for the most part. Despite that, we still had an enjoyable time.

best part about this experience was the adult capri sun! definitely recommend that. our food was good but didn’t blow us away. i think id come back but try their lunch menu

This place is honestly a vibe. I had so much fun here with my friends. We ordered the Grand Mule which is honestly worth the money if you split it with your group! The food was great. The prices aren't the cheapest though but definitely not bad. I had the chicken and waffles with added strawberries and cream (pictured) while my friends had the shrimp and grits. Both were very good. The portions weren't the largest but they are enough to get you full along with something to drink. We also ordered biscuits on the side which were pretty normal, nothing fancy. The customer service was great. Everyone working was very nice to us, even the other waiters who weren't covering our table would engage in the occasional joke or two in passing. Our waiter was so kind and efficient. He brought us waters without us even asking and was on top of everything. I would go back again and also would recommend.

The atmosphere and service was great. I had a wonderful bartender/waitress. She was kind of enough to take her time with explaining the specials on food and drinks and popular items. I will have to go back and try other variety of food on the menu.

The bloody Mary’s were strong (in a good way) and the Cajun Angels were really delicious. The space itself was open and airy, but didn’t feel intimate. The grouper on the salad was a tad bit overseasoned and overcooked. Not a bad meal, but I don’t plan on returning.

Went there for the first time. The food was excellent, but the service was horrible. The waiter never checked on us. We had to flag someone down for silverware, to order our dinner. We even had to flag him down to get the check.

our server was unorthodox but extremely funny. our food was really good. the atmosphere, especially upstairs was mediocre… music was too loud, bar tender upstairs specifically was too obnoxious, imposing a drink on me, not allowing me to choose because “i never made a bad drink” and gave me the sweetest alcoholic beverage i’ve tasted.

This place offers a beautiful view and often has great live music, making it a nice spot to hang out with friends. Unfortunately, the service is quite slow, and the tables are often left dirty between guests, which takes away from the overall experience. The cocktails were really disappointing, both in taste and presentation. With some improvements in cleanliness and service, this could be a great venue.

My husband and I went to The Grove for some snacks to get out of the heat. We ordered 2 waters and a charcuterie tray. The charcuterie tray was sub par. It was your general meat and cheese but in a pyramid formation. The cheese to bread/cracker ratio was not at all sufficient. It tasted okay however; it took quite a while to come out. Due to it being so hot outside the a/c was working overtime and the condensation from the pipes keeps dropping on our plate so we kept moving the plate around our area. My biggest disappointment of this place would be the staff. Our bartender was okay but you could tell her main priority was talking to the staff in the corridor behind the bar. After managing many restaurants it’s hard to see staff slacking off. Although there was not a lot of business they could have been doing side-work/ deep clean list etc. We watched multiple staff go behind the bar and make drinks for themselves without a manager in site. We also noticed a server/host sit down at the bar with a full plate of fries flirting with a server that just got on shift who was also one who made a drink for herself and we could hear her whole conversation cursing and all. Overall I will be back but just for a drink. The lack of caring from the staff is just appalling.

Great looking environment, very open and bright, but uncomfortable seating! “Booths” are very large wooden benches that are way too big when you sit, to the point where you are too far from the table. It was a U Shape, so the three of us sat around it leaving one side open, where when the next group was seated, we were open facing them and they were facing us. We then looked like one big table sitting together! Kind of weird, but we chatted with them some, wasn’t a big deal, but do not go if you want privacy. Excellent service! Our waiter was on top of it! He shared what he thought was good, even though he mentioned all the most expensive choices. He was attentive and quick, but we also didn’t require anything extra. He was very friendly. Food…. not great for the price (1 plate and water-with tax and tip- $40). IT WAS ALL COLD!!! I ordered the salmon which had a wonderful flavor, but I asked for it to be medium rare. I even said I would not be happy if it wasn’t…. and it was not MR. It was OVERCOOKED and dry. My friend ordered it too, and her piece was very thin and did not look good, so I got the better cut for sure, but was still disappointing! The potatoes too were dry and had no flavor, but I actually needed flavorless for the spicy green beans. Had I known they were spicy to begin with, fine, but it was a choking surprise. So I was thankful for the potatoes to level them out. The beans though did have a nice flavor under the spice. But they were SUPER COLD!! In fact, the entire plate was cold and dry! We didn’t have to wait long at all! The food came real quick. So much so, that It made me wonder how much of this food is precooked and prepped ahead?? Was this NOT COOKED TO ORDER???! I don’t know, and can’t make assumptions, but food was not a fav and was disappointing! -Dry and cold with good flavor!

Edit: Friday - Sunday they only serve brunch 11-330. Small plates (appetizers) and mains start at 4pm, per the waitress. Legit came for small plates, Cajun Angels. No can do until 3pm at the soonest when it "slows down because the shrimp are frozen". Tried Grove for the first time last night and wow it was amazing. From the drinks to the Nashville hot chicken and Cajun Angels everything was delicious.

I should have taken pictures… my pasta was sitting in a bed of Buttery oil and soggy vegetables. My mom’s steak, I’ve seen better steaks at a buffet. Could barely cut it with a knife and her mashed potatoes looked like left overs from 2 days before that were heated up. The guacamole appetizer was definitely store bought guac with a little extra lime squeezed in and the pico was old as well. Maybe we hit it on a bad night, not sure but we would not return. To be fair I didn’t complain about the pasta because I was hungry and I ate all the pasta around the grease. The manager took the steak off the tab. Server was super sweet and attentive. Such a cute place but fake plants and flowers all over the place made it look rather cheap.

Hostess and waiter extremely lazy. Waiter kept telling us he had only been working for a week. Saturday afternoon and place was dead but we still couldn’t get service. Finally got to order two plates came out 20 minutes earlier than others. No refills offered. Breakfast sandwich good but burger was horribly dry. Wait staff huddled in back laughing with pot being passed around. Music at next door bar was great. Lived here 8 years and this place has gone down hill. May need new management .

The food was not yummy, but our waiter was great. Our charcuterie board was not good at all, and the grapes were covered in mold. We notified them about this, and the manager did give us a very small discount. Unfortunately, we lost our appetite and did not eat much of the expensive food.

RUINED MY BIRTHDAY on 12/3! Went there for my birthday last night with my roommates and boyfriend. We had a reservation for 6 but were able to sit earlier because the restaurant was completely empty. The hostess was clueless and lazy, on her phone the entire time. We decided to go upstairs to the rooftop, she did not seat us or tell us how to get to the rooftop. When we got up there it was just the bartender and we were expected to push together our own tables! I refuse! A restaurant that tries to present as a nicer place to eat should never make guests put tables together. We went back down to sit in the main dining room, again the host did not seat us. When we finally got sat, the waiter was nice and provided great service! The food however was not good. My roommates got the burger and it was dry and burnt, inedible. The Baja salad had old brown avocado. BROWN AVOCADO! The salmon, Cajun pasta, and Hudson club were good. I wanted to leave. Ruined the mood for the night. Will not return.

The food at this place was terrible 😣. The food was cold, no seasoning, horrible presentation, the avocado was getting dark and look how tomatoes are cut. They were running out of salt and pepper, the waitress had to take the one I had on my table before I finished eating. If you really want to have a great breakfast/brunch go to THE COLLINS QUARTER.

Quick break to Savannah and happened on this spot, worst decision ever as Savannah is known for it's great food spots. Don't waste your time at The Grove. From rude waiters, inedible food, inattentive waitress, why even go to this dark hole in Savannah when there are so many other places to explore. This place is a big NO-NO!

This was an absolutely horrible experience. And I should’ve looked at the reviews before going. I took my mother in law for her birthday and it was a couple days before Christmas. Staff were pretty lazy, incompetent and focused more on chitchatting with each other. The hostess was pretty nice and doing everyone’s jobs (bartender, server and bussing tables). We waited forever to order and then the food was SOOO mediocre. For the price, it was not worth it. I’m a local and my mother in law was visiting from California. I’ve been here before to the club on the second floor but this was my first time eating the food and dining in. I’m so upset and disappointed. I wish I didn’t spend $70+ on this and went somewhere else. Save your money, time & energy!!!!!
