Excellent food and great staff. Everything is fresh and many items are locally sourced ,which is nice. Really eclectic decorations on the inside are a fun change of pace from normal restaurant fixtures.

Mill Creek Cafe is definitely a hidden gem in Honeoye! You wouldn't believe that this tiny little shack beside a creek could serve such high quality food in such an inviting atmosphere. Great drink selection, amazing food, and a fantastic wait staff!!

Had a yummy dinner after a great Fingerlakes hike. Food was delicious, service was great and fast. I had the "Mill Creeker" quesadilla and my wife had a rice bowl along with a eggplant appetizer, everything was delicious, we will definitely return.

We found ourselves hungry and in Honeoye and a local recommended Mill Creek. It was so good! Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the brisket quesadilla and would definitely recommend it!

I always love coming for a bite to eat or some ice cream. Since they redid the inside, there is much more room and it looks spectacular. You can also get a local beer or wine, a welcome touch if you're out to dinner. I look forward to the next time I go!

Small but cozy restaurant. Don't.let the "Cafe" in the name fool you! Top notch food with gourmet style and flavor! I had the " broth bowl" which was huge! I choose beef as my protein. Fresh, thin julianne sliced veggies in a huge bowl of beef broth with rice noodles. Poutine is on the menu and is also a HUGE portion!

A wonderful hometown - local restaurant. Food is seasonal and the cooks and waitstaff are extremely accommodating. The decor is a bit rustic, it’s a small but really well run establishment.

Had my first visit on Saturday, March 2 2019. Great little place. And they have sweet potato fries!!! Love them. Moving to the area so finding locally ran places to grab a bite ate more important to me than the chain restaurants. Can’t wait for the ice cream shops portion to open. Also gave the guy that took my To-go order a sample bag of the coffee I love. I definitely plan on more outings there !!

Locally owned and operated cafe with plenty of atmosphere with an amazing food and beer selection. The walls are full of interesting artwork, some of which is for sale. Dining can be done indoors or outdoors and there is a beautiful Creek by the parking lot and an ice cream store next door. It doesn't get any better than that.

Incredible, delicious food. Highly highly recommend the braised beef sammy. We also got the pulled pork quesadilla and the crab cake sandwich. The crab cake was decent, but there are other sandwiches I try before getting that again. We were going to order a few other things during our stay, but unfortunately they're not open on the weekend. That is really the only downside. We didn't try the housemade chips, but the fries were really good!

I came here to eat with my family tonight. We come from nj and this was our first time in the area. We have no regrets coming here. We ordered two side salads with the La Boobala flatbread, Mill Creeker quesadilla, black bean burger, and a kids cheese pizza with apples. The sweet potato fries were delicious. We were impressed with the side salads alone and devoured the whole meal. There was nothing left over. Great food, great atmosphere, great management, great people. This is something I rarely find when going out to eat. It made for a great night and the owner/manager(?) was amazing! He was extremely proficient in making sure we were comfortable and ran the cafe smoothly. He was very kind and we hope to be back soon.

Caleb was the server for my son and myself, he was absolutely excellent, and the food was fantastic. He went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Would definitely recommend.

We had an exceptional dinner tonight. Blackened steak which was delicious. The gentleman who served us was very professional but also funny, had a very positive attitude and he could be a male model. This place is awesome. The food is creative, fresh and delicious! It is small but always bustling. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They often greet guests by name with a handshake or a hug. The atmosphere is surprising. The outside is very simple but the interior is full of beautiful sculptures and other artwork. The music is fun and relaxing. They have outdoor seating and live music in the warmer months. It is an unexpected gem in a small town. *they have the best gluten free, cauliflower pizza/flatbread crust ever!

This is our favorite casual restaurant. The menu is diverse and accommodates vegans, health-conscious and everything in between! Absolutely love the cauli-wings! It’s one of our favorite appetizers ever. The salads are amazing. My favorite is the surf & turf salad. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff is friendly & atmosphere casual and family friendly.

We picked this spot for a quick lunch and were quite pleased. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but it was worth it. There's outdoor seating available. The service was good. The food was quick and tasted good. I had a burger with house made chips and my guest had a grilled chicken salad. I have no complaints, so this place gets 5 stars.

Amazing place! We stopped in on a busy Friday night with no reservations but we were still accommodated. The staff was very friendly and provided excellent service. Great beer selection and tasty food! The staff even went above and beyond and entertained our kids! I would recommend reservations on a busy day. Dine here, you won’t regret it.

Stopped at the Mill Creek Cafe with my kids for some ice cream in March. It was a little early in the season so they didn't have their outside stand open, but the staff welcomed us inside to sit down for a couple bowls of ice cream. My kids loved it and me and my daughter had fun trying to spot all of the ducks they had hidden in the cafe. When we were all done, I asked for the check and the owner told us that it was on the house. I couldn't believe it. So incredibly kind and generous. I will be coming back time and time again. My only regret is that I only had 2 dollars in my wallet to leave for a tip.

Delicious! Excellent, high quality, local sourced ingredients. I started with the shrimp appetizer. Best I've had in ages. Crispy and fried to perfection with a tasty chipotle sauce on the side. Had the poutine with pulled pork. Plenty of cheese curds, nicely melted and a tasty gravy that had just the right amount of salt and no more.

Excellent food. Unique, fun menu. The cranberry cream cheese stuffed french toast was amazing. The omelets are great! Great coffee (Jamaica Me Crazy) and very friendly, attentive staff. The atmosphere is artsy and trendy, yet not pretentious. Beautiful statues and other pieces adorn the room. Recommended!!!

Nice place to stop. Indoor seating or during summer outside seating under umbrellas. Service staff very pleasant and cordial. Had clam chowder and salad with shrimp. Excellent. Quick refills on my ice tea. Owner even came around to see if everything was ok. My favorite place to stop at when in the area. During summer, they have an ice cream, etc.

We are so fortunate to have Mill Creek Cafe in our hometown! The food is exceptional with a wide selection of drinks from area breweries and cideries. The staff is incredible and provides excellent, friendly service. For those of you that live outside of Honeoye, it is definitely worth the trip. Be sure to make a reservation due to popularity.

Update 2026: The team at the new Mill Creek Cafe is doing a great job! The space looks beautiful. The food was very good and the service was great. The bar and cocktails looked really nice! They may want to consider a breeze-way for next winter to avoid letting the cold air in, but we had a mild evening so it wasn't bad! I will always miss the Crab Cake sandwich the old Mill Creek did though! Would love to see it come back as a special. Original Restaurant Review: Just AWESOME. Great, well thought out food, food. Very caring, kind team working there. A total hidden gem.

This this is a nice place. Any time we are in the area, this is our go-to spot. They were really kind to make a breakfast meal for my son even though it was lunchtime. Great coffee and nice servers. The food is amazing. Never had a bad meal. Last time we went, my dish was a little hotter (temperature) than I cared for, but it was still tasty! Looking forward to the next time we are in the area!

Contrary to the review left most recently by Mr. M.J. Schudlick, every experience my family and I have had, were nothing short of awesome. Food is delicious, atmosphere is super unique and fun and service has been great. While they are now under new ownership, they have been in the process of updating their hours and menu. Which, they have been more than accommodating in letting everyone know days in advance of any and all changes over on their Facebook. If you ever have questions about their hours or menu’s, that is your best place to look! So glad Mill Creek is back!

They had a supply issue so several items were not available. The one server they had was very cordial but since a 2 person operation things took awhile. The food we received was delicious and she was very attentive. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy, will continue to go there.

Outstanding cafe! We had the quesadillas and the Irish Bene (pronounced "Bennie"). Both were just perfect, plenty big enough portions and outstanding flavors. Service was excellent: fast and friendly. Menu just right for all preferences along with reasonable pricing. Crowd was lively but not loud, thanks to the good room acoustics. Back patio has big potential, just needs a little TLC. A seasonal tent cover would help extend their capacity. Overall, we highly recommend this great establishment!

We love this place! Service is friendly and genuine. The food is great, so much so that the most popular dishes sometimes sell out, but we appreciate a place that makes food fresh and goes through it in a day. We had the fried chicken, fried fish, fried shrimp and a cheeseburger and all of it was spot-on. Whoever runs the fryer knows his/her stuff... Our server, Zack was great - even our children mentioned how 'cool' he was. This place is a destination in its own right, and we're lucky to have it here in town...

This was my first time here, however my aunt and Grandmother come here often. This fish fry- both beer battered and panko, were delicious! The dinner portion was enough for 2 people or leftovers. The sweet potato fries, homemade tartar, and Woodstead sauce made this dish even better. From the one the moment we walked in the front door we were welcomed with delicious smells, wonderful service, and a cozy environment. The prices were reasonable, food was delicious, service was exceptional. A real gem in the Honeoye Lake community.

We stopped for ice cream… I can’t eat regular ice cream!!! They made me a vegan sundae ice cream made of oat milk. It was delicious and hit the spot!!! They also have a restaurant will try that next time. What’s nice was sitting outside. 🍦

Good food but pretty pricey for what you get. The specials where priced very well but paying $9 for a breakfast burrito no bigger than McDonald's and home fries slightly more than a McDonald's hashbrown. Something I would go to every couple months for a change.

The food is great, the waiters are always smiling, overlooking a few here and there but this place is really good for a quick bite but also a big meal. A bit too cramped if you want to eat outside and the situation on the inside is similar but only if you bring a group. The place is clean, the food comes quick and I wholeheartedly recommend if you're ever in the area. A must visit.

Went on a Friday night and it was very busy. Once we were seated, they were very attentive. Fun atmosphere and very friendly. Had the steak quesadillas. It was very good. Also the bundt cake was a great end to the dinner. Would definitely recommend.

We were here on a couple occasions while on vacation on Honeoye Lake. The food is surprisingly good for the area and consists mainly of salads and sandwiches. Prices are reasonable and the sake mojito was really good. Nice ambience both indoor and outdoor. The only negative was that the staff seemed a little frazzled and it took a while for food to come out. But the staff was incredibly upbeat and friendly.

WOW! You've got to eat here! I love that they use many local products! They serve grass fed, locally raised beef..... delicious! I've enjoyed everything I've had. My kids love it too especially their chips. It's easy on the wallet too! Do yourself a favor and eat there!

Two of us had lunch. Friendly atmosphere and staff. One of us had a great harvest salad, the other a delicious Tuscan chicken sandwich with a mound of sweet potato fries. All very good. We will be back.

Sausage breakfast sando is delicious. House made sausage. Irish benie is made with delicious shredded corned beef.

Food was okay but service was very slow and unfriendly. After waiting over an hour for our food we asked for water to be brought to our table; one of our party went in to use the restroom and overheard the staff complaining that they had to bring the water. I won't be going back.

I use to like going to this place, but the two most recent times we have gone the food has been awful. I’m not sure if they have a new cook, but the food lacks a lot of flavor. I had the broth bowl and none of the vegetables in there were cooked, the broth had no flavor. It was like drinking hot water. They threw in a few pieces of cilantro and that was about all the flavor you got out of there. My moms boyfriend had the fish platter and the fries food was so over cooked it was a dark brown and tasted of just pure oil. My husband and I went another time and we both got the rice bowls. Once again there was no flavor at all. The chicken was bland and the rice was just plain rice. We took it home and seasoned it at home. Unfortunately I feel from last year to this year the food quality has gone down hill.

Ordered a fried chicken sandwich and a bulldog burger for takeout. The chicken sandwich was chicken and cheese on a roll, no mayo, lettuce or tomato. The burger wasn't bad but lacked any seasoning and had very little sauce. We didn't receive pickles with either meal. I know this place just reopened so hopefully it's just a few kinks that need to be worked out but I fear that the honeoye restaurant curse is alive and well, subpar food offerings that people seem to accept. I'm a local so I hate to write this review but unfortunately it's the truth. The chai was fantastic however so there's that.

Very disappointed. I ordered the mushroom swiss burger with fries. First off...the fries were tiny, very dark in color (Dirty oil) and soggy. not quite a deal breaker. then the burger. they advertise 1/3 lb burger. Try 1/8 lb burger. i wish i could share the picture i took of it. you wouldn't believe it. Again not a deal breaker by itself. put those together and pay $9.71 for it not including a drink and you have a deal breaker. never going back. which sucks because i work right across the street. Time step up your game folks.

Waitress was friendly and attentive. My burger was good. My wife's wrap looked and tasted like hot vomit. She ate a single bite, and alerted the waitress that something was wrong. The chicken was unrecognizable as such, and the romaine lettuce looked and had the texture of cooked spinach. The waitress tried to make it right, but it took 20+ minutes for a substitute burger to be made. We could hear the kitchen complaining and about 5 minutes before the burger came out, a male employee who may or may not have been a manager (he never identified himself) decided to question why my wife didn't like her wrap in condescending, cheauvenistic manner. We left without taking delivery of the burger. The billing was fair (they did not charge us for the wrap or burger). That and the nice waitress are the only good things I can say.

This place is beyond belief. It's a challenge to try to get breakfast here. Third time in a row we went there and either they weren't open as advertised or they weren't serving breakfast until 11:00 as advertised or they have limited service as today only serving breakfast sandwiches and counter service only. It's like it's a privilege to be served by them. Strike three, you're out guys...
