Pasta dishes are excellent. Got stuffed mushroom appetizer. Mushrooms were tiny but tasty.
The Seafood Courtbouillon with shrimp, jumbo lump crab, crawfish, fish, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, and onions was a tasty meal and plenty for leftovers. The shrimp were plump, the crab sweet, and the crawfish were tender. The presentation was as impressive as the service. Will be back to try more of the dishes.
What’s up, foodie friends? Let me whisk you away on a culinary journey through Bayou City Seafood and Pasta, where every dish is a passport to flavor town! This gem doesn’t just serve food; it hosts a grand, delicious parade on your plate! First off, the pasta! It’s like Mount Everest – majestic and huge! My go-to is the large pasta; it's so big and bountiful that splitting it is the way to go. Paired with blackened chicken and those luscious fettuccine noodles, it’s a combo that will have your taste buds doing the cha-cha-cha. But wait, the appetizer game here is strong! Dive into the boudin balls and fried pickles. They are the opening act that gets the standing ovation – crispy, flavorful, and the perfect prelude to the pasta extravaganza. And oh, sweet cheesecake heavens! The cheesecake here is like the grand finale of a fireworks show – absolutely mind-blowing and yes, it’s as HUGE as its reputation. It’s creamy, dreamy, and will have you floating on a sweet, delightful cloud. Bayou City isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a celebration of tastes and aromas. So, if you're looking to treat your senses to a festival of flavors, this is the spot. Get ready to rave about it, recommend it, and most importantly, relish every bite! 🍝🍰🎉
I was there for a 50th birthday party celebrating. Mr Diego was amazing he kept an eye on me so i would jump over the wall so i can run off on my bill lol great since of humor
Stopped by for lunch today.. had the pasta Apache it was very tasty! Adam was friendly & attentive :)
The crab spinach artichoke was the best dip ever and enough for two to share...soo good. Derek, our waiter, offered great suggestions, attention, and service. The entire staff was great! When I dropped my fork, one of the bus guys was there with another before I could even ask. I ordered the seafood platter and it was literally everything: oysters, shrimp, crabcake, fish! I will definitely be back and have recommended to many!
Food was fabulous. Came in late afternoon, hadn’t had lunch. Even though there weren’t but a couple other people in the place since it was 3pm, service was great, Carlos R. was our server. Ask for Carlos! Definitely recommend this place. Will be back next time we are in Houston.
Best seafood gumbo I've ever tasted in my life. The flavor was rich, the roux was thick and it was packed with shrimp and crab meat. It came in a decent sized bowl with a scoop of rice and honestly filled me up pretty good. I ordered the shrimp and crawfish etouffee and you can tell it's pretty well made from scratch with lots of good ingredients. The sauce was thick and they dont skimp on the crustaceans. I'll have to say it was a little on the bland side, however a little dust of salt and old bay took care of that. My colleagues ordered crawfish by the lb and said it was really good. Food came out fast and the server was attentive. Would highly recommend.
Fun and lively atmosphere! Outstanding food and fast, friendly service. Thank you for a great intro to Texas seafood!
First time visiting this great place. Ordered the Crawfish Bisque and Boudin Balls for apps. Food was great but definitely want to compliment the fresh homemade tartar sauce served with the boudin balls. Probably the best I've ever had. For the entrée we ordered the Pasta Liberty with their Justice sauce which added some heat and spice. Fantastic!! I also wanted to give a big SHOUT OUT to our server Carlos who did a great job and really helped us decide on our choices. We'll definitely be back!!!
They have the best crawfish! 6.99/lb during happy hour, great price for in the loop. They have happy hour beers, wine and margaritas, as well as other appetizers and good eats. The service is always friendly. They are expanding this summer and won a Marvin Zindler award, so you know they have a clean kitchen.
Amazing service!! Stoped by for lunch and ordered off the lunch menu - blackened chicken Po’ boy with red beans & rice and side of gumbo (ordered the chicken & sausage). The amount of food was more than I could consume on my own, surprisingly. Fortunately, coworker was there to share with. The Po’ boy was delicious and I really enjoyed the red beans & rice. Loved it. The gumbo was okay, not my thing. The inside is really nice, new and clean. Our server was very attentive and friendly. She was great.
Our server was amazing! I can't remember his name but was there 11/22/25 with my choir sister's and he took great care of us.
Excellent food. Even the regular plates were too much for me. The service was very good. Our waiter was on top of everything.
I call this restaurant the Pappadeaux killer. I love the raw oysters and very impressed with the beans and rice. I usually don’t even eat beans but Bayou City does it right!!! Reminds me of Sunday meals at grandma’s house. The seafood isn’t as seasoned as I like but everything is fresh. I’m sure if they seasoned the way I like there would be lots of complaints for saltiness and spice. LOL! So no points off for that. Overall, great restaurant in a prime location (Galleria and River Oaks nearby).
Everything was really good. I had the half blackened catfish poboy with red beans and rice and gumbo and it was delicious and flavorful. My waiter Riley was thee best ever!! He made the experience amazing!
It's always a great experience at Bayou City Seafood and Pasta. This visit I had a chicken sandwich with the red beans and rice. It was all absolutely delicious. The chicken was very well seasoned, as were the beans. I could've made a whole meal out of more red beans and rice. So good. I didn't have any adult beverages this time but my recollection is that they're all very good and priced fairly. Our server was quite friendly and nice, kept checking in on me and my friends if we needed anything else. Offered if we had room for dessert and I wish I did at the time because their desserts all sound good. There's ample parking during lunch time when it's not too busy. However, parking is a bit of a challenge during dinner time when the restaurant fills up. Great place for friends to catch up and have a nice dinner or a date night with your special someone. The environment was perfect in the afternoon for coworkers to have lunch and hang out a bit. There were several tables with what appeared to be coworkers having lunch. Pretty nice.
Everything about this place was amazing. It was beautiful inside, everyone was so pleasant and the food was 10/10! I ordered a spicy shrimp kale salad and my bf ordered blackened catfish & jambalaya. It was all excellent and we got fried pickles as an appetizer, some of the best fried pickles I’ve ever had!!
Great experience all around. The food was delicious. Great for that cajun spice! Service was prompt and pleasant. The dining room is attractive and we really enjoyed the old photographs with description plaques. The bar has several TV's, good for watching sports! Also, a very nice party room/indoor patio is available. Lots of free parking out front. Highly recommend!
My fav spot—from the drinks to the food, you cannot go wrong with this place. Atmosphere: Busy, typical seafood house. Staff were friendly and attentive despite the rush. Food: 10/10 I haven’t been disappointed here yet! The thing I usually get is the Liberty pasta and the crab stuffed mushrooms, but this was a quick bite for me this day. They have a vast selection of seafood for really decent prices. You can’t go wrong eating here! I’ll be back.
Bayou City Seafood & Pasta is a nice place to stop for lunch or dinner. The new location is spacious with nice vibes. The bar is comfortable and well-stocked with lots of your favorites. I didn’t get the crawfish today, but in the past they’ve been great! I love the fried oyster appetizer and the garden lunch salad is terrific!
We had a wonderful meal, thanks to help from our server Adam. Dad was in town visiting and requested seafood… he got the seafood combo blackened and I got the pasta liberty blackened and a side Caesar salad, we shared sautéed oysters as an appetizer… yum! The portions are large and I took more than half of the pasta home for later! Adam helped answer our questions and provided suggestions that made our experience even better. We will absolutely be returning, Bayou City is a new favorite for us!
Came from out of town based on a recommendation, and I couldn't have been more impressed. The food was fast and delicious! Adam is a great server--friendly, offered dish recommendations, quick refills, awesome at anticipating. I came back to my hotel with leftovers and felt so grateful that he thought to include cutlery as well!
Wish I would have taken better pictures before we dived into our meal but it looked so good and was delicious we couldn't wait. First time ever coming here and it did not disappoint. The oysters are huge and worth the price. The crawfish bisque had a healthy amount of crawfish and was so delicious. My family really enjoyed themselves and we definitely will be coming back for more.

This was my first time visiting and I was very happy with the service and food. The portions are very large and the prices are good. The food is soooooo good, I ate most of my food before I remembered to take a picture, LOL. We had crabmeat stuffed mushrooms, catfish bites and crab cakes for appetizers and were too full to eat our entrée. I will definitely be back again!
Great Lunch Menu and our Waitress name Natalie treated us excellent. I had grilled catfish and vegetables, fried pickles and fried mushroom for starters. The others had a bowl of Gumbo, Fried Catfish & Red Beans platter, and a half-pound burger with best fries tasted of late, better than Whataburger.
From South Ms so I have a good taste for seafood. Was a little skeptical at first about eating seafood in Texas but all food was great. Our waiter, Riley, knew just what to recommend and waited on us perfectly! Glass never went empty and food was brought out fast. Very friendly service. Will come back.
My husband and I have been going to Bayou Seafood when they were at their last location. Years later; we have never been disappointed. I was raised on the outskirts of New Orleans and I am extremely picky. My husband liks the Montana Pasta and I favor the Liberty Pasta and we always order an appetizer. Their fried mushrooms is great. And their bread pudding is outstanding. We lo e their Gumbo!! We now live in the Lake Livingston area and is worth every mile to travel their. One either likes pasta and seafood or not. WE LIKE IT VERY MUCH AND DONT MIND PSYING FOR A FANTASTIC MEAL.
Wow! The food at Bayou City is fantastic. The outside appearance of the restaurant is very welcoming. It’s well maintained and we were seated right away. The rules of the restaurant is first come first serve they do not have any reservations list. Happy hour is until 6 PM Great selection of beer and also they have wonderful lunch specials. The food is really tasty. As an appetizer I ordered the fried calamari and it came with two sauces that were delicious. The quantity of the amounts of food were well portioned for everything. The crab bisque was wonderful. We also asked for garlic bread on the side which was complementary as long as you asked for it. The main dish pasta liberty was wonderful as well and easily can be split between two people. Loved the experience and will be coming back soon! PS: restrooms were clean!
The waitress Michelle was amazing to start off. We had seafood gumbo, which was filled with lots of crab meat and shrimps. Then we got the liberty pasta which was filled with shrimp, crawfish, mushrooms, crab meat, and a white wine sauce with angel hair pasta we decided to split a meal for three extra bucks and let me say the chef did not let us down these plates were overfilled with seafood. Thank you Michelle 💋
Newly renovated, same good taste and huge portions. Our waiter is very friendly, and helpful! Tuna pasta tasted very good, but presentation can be much better if just cut the tuna to slides instead of cube, and also put on top of the pasta instead of mixing in. Anyway it's one of best taste and value restaurant around.
Established in 1990, is not just a seafood restaurant. They offer many other dishes for those in your party that do not eat seafood. For those who enjoy seafood, you will not find better food or service. The dishes were perfectly seasoned and spot on in preparation. Michelle was our server today and was the best server I've ever had the honor of being served by. The entire staff works so well as a team, ensuring every guest is satisfied. They have daily specials that are incredible. Excellent, plentiful and quality food... you get what you pay for and it is well worth it... most dishes are enough for 2... 5/5 stars isn't enough!!!!
I wanted to dine in and treat myself to a nice lunch. I wanted to go to a place where I could get some work done as I enjoyed a great meal. I got all that at Bayou City Seafood & Pasta. The hostess greeted me with a smile and asked my preference of seating and the atmosphere was so calming and relaxing. I can’t wait to host business meetings and gatherings there. My waiter was so nice and was able to answer all my questions. When I asked him for recommendations, he was on it. I had the crab stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. I made sure to ask if the crab meet was real or imitation and told him that I could tell the difference. They didn’t take long to come out, they were hot, and let me tell you; they were fresh and tasted so so good! I wanted to cancel my entree (grilled Snapper w/ red beans & rice) and order more crab stuffed mushrooms. I do suggest getting a topper for the snapper do to it being a little dry, but still tasty. I will definitely be going back.
Here is another place that I drive past often and never ventured to try. Truly my lose until now. My seafood plate was absolutely divine! I could tell by the way the aroma tickled by nose that it was going to be delicious and it most definitely was. Great restaurant. Very busy, a little noisy. However, the food will make it all worth while. I will be back!
Amazing food. Amazing service. Great ambiance. We were greeted and seated with in 2 minutes and our server Ian serviced us in less than 5 minutes. We ordered an appetizer- crab spinach dip (simply amazing) and placed our orders. The food was deliciously flavorful- like a party in my mouth! I had the stuffed snapper topped with pontchartrain sauce paired with their baked potato. I was wowed by the huge selection of choices on the menu and how well seasoned my food (and my parties food) was. 5/5 Great Job!
The environment was A-1. Atmosphere - casual elegant with a home feel. Staff was pleasantly nice. Food, well, let's just say that I can go every week to order a different meal and not be disappointed. I am happy that this location was chosen as an outing. It is highly recommended for any occasion.
Bayou City Seafood and Pasta was a great experience overall. I started with the Cajun fried deviled eggs and fried shrimp—both were cooked perfectly and full of that Southern flavor you hope for. The red beans and rice were good, though they could use a little more seasoning to really make them pop, but I still enjoyed them. The real standout was the Zeus pasta—it was absolutely amazing and easily the highlight of the meal. On top of that, the service was excellent: friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Definitely a spot I’d come back to and recommend.
This is the best seafood gumbo I have ever had and I am very picky about it. My wife had the shrimp diablo and she loved it. I also had re brands and rice which was perfect. The garlic bread is a great French bread with the right amount of garlic and butter. My Arnold Palmer was perfectly made and some places mess those up. This place also has great vibe and TVs with games on around. Very open feel, feels new and crisp. Very impressed.
I love this place. This was my work bestie and I's first time visiting, and the service was excellent, all thanks to Adam. He was definitely welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was truly great, from the appetizers - crab cakes, fried to perfection, deviled eggs, seafood pasta, and lastly, blueberry bread pudding. We got the $40 sized pasta and it was enough to share and take home. Adam suggested the blueberry bread pudding, I would have NEVER ordered bread pudding. Why? BC I don't eat bread pudding. BUT! since he spoke so highly of it, we tried it. AND WOW IS ALL I COULD SAY AS I STUFFED MY MOUTH! 😆 THANK ADAM!!
My First Time Here And I Must Say I’m Glad To Have Been Able To Give It A Try. I Was Skeptical At First Because Nothing On The Menu Screamed To Me At First But I Eventually Chose A Caesar Salad And The Blackened Chicken Pasta With Angel Hair Noodles And I Wasn’t Disappointed In The Slightest. I Can’t Believe How Good All These Things Tasted And I Can Ensure That I Will Be Back To Get The Exact Same Things. Update : I’ve Been Back And It’s Been Just As Good Each Time. I Love This Pasta Especially After Learning You Can Sub One Chicken Filet For 5 Shrimp.
I took my mother and brother for their birthdays for lunch today. Riley was our awesome server. He was so accommodating and attentive. Oh and the food? Delicious! I ordered a cup of crawfish bisque and blackened catfish with jambalaya. The cup was a bowl and my meal was plentiful for a lunch portion. Everything was well seasoned and hot. I will be back again!
I don't even eat seafood but love this spot! I remember coming here in 2019 while on a trip to Houston and fell in love. I finally was reunited last night, and it did not disappoint. I sat at the bar, and the bartender was awesome (so sorry not to have gotten her name). I opted for the Montana pasta dish and subbed out the seafood for blackened chicken. The *small* portion is what you see pictured, which came with a huge butterflied and cajun-blackened breast atop fettuccine, broccoli, tomatoes, and mushrooms in a white wine, basil and garlic sauce - and a side of parm and garlic bread. If you think that sounds good, you should have been there to taste it! Miraculous (read: with stupidity), I ordered the blueberry bread pudding dessert with a vanilla cinnamon glaze. It wasn't my favorite, but I'm also not a bread pudding guy. It looked unique so I wanted to try it, but next time I will opt for the key lime pie or blueberry cobbler if I'm dumb enough to squeeze in dessert again. The prices are a bit high - $31 for the pasta dish and $11 for the dessert...but nothing absurd given the quality and portions. The service was impeccable, and the location has been upgraded from its original no-frills next door spot. They got fancy on me! Highly recommended!
My order was wrong and they went above and beyond to fix it. It was delicious! I recommend the pontratrain sauce for sure! Thank you bayou city seafood and pasta!

This is a nice spot for a workday lunch with great food and good service. I’d recommend either the blackened shrimp or try the red beans and rice with catfish bites on the side. Reasonably priced.
Loved this place for years! Family is from Louisiana and it’s nice to have a place that reminds you of the food without actually going. Cant wait to go back.
Great Cajun food. Crawfish was very good , be sure to ask for potatoes and corn side. The red beans and rice and gumbo. Very recommended. service is algo good.
The food was good, I’d go again. We ordered the lunch shrimp & crawfish etoufee, shrimp platter (grilled) with a side of red beans & rice with boudin balls (not pictured). The portions were large, the service was good, it wasn’t anything super spectacular but it might be if you order something off the “house specialties” menu. We were socially distanced & everyone wore a mask.
It's a big place with a wooden cozy design inside, the seafood Gumbo was good but the crawfish was not really the best crawfish I ever had !all I tasted was Cajun seasoning dusted over the crawfish. also this place is not cheap at all! But I have to admit the customer services and staff is great !
This is a cute place to go and have a few drinks, a meal, and hangout with friends. The atmosphere was great! The service was great! The food was good. The fish bites could have been seasoned a little more. The other food was good. The chicken sandwich was amazing. Our server was very knowledgeable about the different food on the menu.
Why am I just finding out about this restaurant. Food is seasoned very well, portions are large, I thought I was eating at my family house. Garlic bread is fresh, made sure you ask for some. Fried Alligator and cheese sticks were my choice for appetizers, was pleasing. Ceasar salad was enough for 2 people, lettuce was crispy and cold, dressing was more than enough. For my entree, I chose Snapper Remington, DELISH! That was very tasteful. Restrooms are clean ladies, very important. Definitely will return. Customer service was friendly but can improve, I think they were short handed which who isn't these days.
Rating take out experience - service could be friendlier when I was picking up food. Although Uber app said it was ready, I waited for almost 10 more min inside to get it. Had the pasta liberty jumbo - it’s a huuuge portion. Easily enough for 2. The “seafood” was shrimp and crawfish. Taste was ok. But nothing special
I've been here many times since 2010, the food is pretty good (not exactly healthy besides salads) and very tasty. Portions are big and service is great. I had the chicken and sausage gumbo which was delicious, then I asked for fettuccine with alfredo sauce, no meat, all vegetables which was good but a huge portion (I took half home), then I had the bread pudding - peach for the first time - extremely delicious (also took home most of it). Parking on site.
Starting with the positives, I loved the red beans and rice. The rice was fluffy and perfectly cooked and I really appreciate that. I received rice with the gumbo and red beans and rice. The gumbo was good but the gravy was too salty. It overpowered the sausage and chicken. The fried calamari was good. I wish they would’ve melted the cheese in the marinara sauce. I’m not sure what the other red sauce was but it was bomb! I liked it more than the marinara and cheese. The cons: the shrimp po boy was not as good as I expected. The sauce to food ratio was low. There was enough shrimp and veggies but not enough sauce. Also, the shrimp is not really seasoned, and I was okay with that because I expected the bread and sauce to pull everything together but that was not the case. The shrimp po boy was my least favorite. Overall 4.1/5
Every year, my girls and I choose a spot to gather to catch up. This was a great choice. We had a great time. The food is very good and well seasoned. Anthony our waiter was great and he offered some suggestions as this was our first time visiting. My favs: Blackened Catfish and Shrimp topped with Pontchartrain Sauce. Believe it or not they have some really good chicken tenders....I know right, who goes to a seafood establishment and orders chicken? Don't knock it until you try it! The martini in the video is the ABSOLUTE greatest beverage I've ever had. Like I want to learn how to make it. I'm definitely going back again.
I am from the Bayou in Louisiana. I have eaten authentic Cajun food for 35 years. My husband and I love the experience and the service was on point. The food was moist and fresh. Shame on you, the cook does use Cajun ingredients. The entrees names did not taste like any recipe I have tried. The boudin balls were more like fried dirty rice balls.
Go here for good Cajun style dishes, seafood 🍤 🦐 🦞 and pasta. Nice atmosphere, nice vibes, but like most places you have to keep an eye on some of the waiters. There is a happy hour, that may have changed. The hours used to be from 4-6 p.m. You're seated on a first come first served basis, no reservations.
Now I will admit, I was already getting ready to write a scathing review, especially for the simple fact I wanna make sure everyone that goes to a restaurant that I review is treated fairly and unbiasedly. But now I say the waiter Chuy(And I do apologize if I spell the name wrong) He really did save the because of his service, it’s not only making the atmosphere feel very homey, but also taking care of this after the long wait that we did have Including having people serve before us… I will admit I’ve had some times while I’ve had bad service and waited for a certain amount of times just to see if thing improved , I try to be fair and understanding and where it’s rightfully/wrongly deserved ,but this time they actually apologize and actually did what they could do at best of the ability to make sure that at the end of the day everything is treated fairly.
Nice atmosphere and good service. Diego was attentive and courteous. He was knowledgeable of the menu items and provided good suggestions. The blackened chicken Caesar salad was really good. The fried and sautéed crab legs were good. I preferred the fried over the sautéed. The mango and blueberry clobber was good. Vanilla ice cream would take it over the top. Overall a really good experience.
service was amazing !! 85 characters ? Food was ok but not good enough, service made up for it tho
Seafood gumbo was watery and fishy tasting. Worst gumbo I'v ever had. Crawfish ettouffee was totally bland. service is good.

This is my second time eating here and ummmm still not impressed. The menu options sound sooooo delicious, but there was absolutely no seasonings. I ordered the Snapper Courtney and I added salt, lemon and I still couldn't get the bold flavors I was looking for. Waaaay to bland for me..... disappointed for sure. 😫
The people who work here are kind, but honestly the food is mid. Sweet potato fries were not crispy, the calamari was overly breaded and unseasoned. The crabmeat stuffed mushrooms were decent. Probably wouldn’t come back here. The cocktails are good tho.
Food was not as expected, only one staff was courteous the others seem not to want to work. The atmosphere at the tone was very empty so there was no reason for my food to take that long. My vehicle was broken into and the manager said it was not the first time, I never got the footage of the video.
Rice that came with gumbo one of the worst cooked rice I've ever had. So mushy couldn't make out the rice texture. Just some mushy unpleasant texture. How can something so simple be cooked so badly. The rest of the meal was meh also. Service was very nice. But wouldn't return for the food. Maybe a beer and appetizer.
We had the boudoin balls and the seafood boil and unfortunately we would not recommend either. The seafood boil 3lbs crawfish, 1/2 lb of shrimp, sausage and 2 corns and 2 potatoes was super bland and we had to add seasoning on top (as shown in picture). The price tag was around $105 after tip which included 1 margarita. For that price, we would have been able to go to our favorite place in spring branch which was closed due to the power outages and order 3x as much food and it would have been seasoned. I would not recommend for the seafood boil but maybe their other items are better. Service was good though and if the food was better we would have rated higher
Pastas are the specialty. So our son ordered the half order while my wife and I ordered a full order amd decided to split it in half. Why was my son's half order larger than out full order? He literally had more food. So yeah that was a rip off. Shrimp appetizers were great. Drinks were horrible...great taste but that's it.
This was my first time in Houston. This was a nice , clean and spacious restaurant, and I appreciated that the parking was free. Our server Chewy was friendly, engaging, and quick. I also appreciated that he knew the menu well enough to guide us in the right direction. Our appetizer and drinks were enjoyable. I had the alligator bites and calamari, However, the Poboy sandwich was dry. The breading didn’t stay on the fish and it lack flavor and seasoning the red snapper wasn’t good either the same with that breading. I’m not a fan of bread pudding. I didn’t enjoy this either. Glad it was free.
Wow what can I say’s it’s sub par. I haven't been but twice since they moved to the building with last evening being 3rd and last each time. This place just left me feeling ripped off the food seems weak & tasteless & way over priced compared to the original location. It really feels like a totally new place nothing is the same even the garlic bread tastes different. I’d have to ask is it the same owners or someone else just using the name ? Service was slow but the staff was a least pleasant. However not enough to draw me make again. I’m done. NEXT !
The establishment specializes in delectable fried seafood dishes. I ordered a salad with spicy shrimp, which was satisfactory. My wife had the snapper, which was exquisite. However, the gumbo fell short of our expectations and was not particularly enjoyable. The roux had a watery consistency. The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant.

Once again i've been underwhelmed. The thing is they have good food here but it doesn't seem to be consistent. On this visit I ordered fried shrimp, fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and spinach a…
Very expensive \nThere is no happy medium to chose if you do not want to spend whst most entrees start at $30.99 or higher .\nNot high atmosphere to match pricing
I had seen this restaurant get 4.5 out of 5 stars from a local restaurant review and being always in search of new and different restaurants, in metro Houston, I wanted to give this one a try because…
Born and raised in Louisiana. This restaurant labels yet another want to be rendition of authentic food. I was seated and wasn't even offered any drinks. First the prices are way too high for the food especially if it's not cooked by a chef. It's cooked by in house cooks. My food came out too quick making me think there is food waiting on standby. My food was out 5 minutes after I ordered. I tried the snapper in tomato, cheese, and jalapeno. It had no flavor! It was also supposed to have sauteed broccoli! I'll let the pic speak for itself. The red beans were much better, but the overall meal was not.
I love this restaurant in person. It is fantastic. However, when I ordered through Uber eats, the portion sizes were very small and my order was not made correctly. It’s extremely disappointing because the cost of the food outweighed the quality/amount of food. The pasta below was 34$.
Stared with the super watery bisque then to the red snapper & Dale's special. The most bland tasteless dishes ever. I was so excited to try this place, what a let down. The scallops were dried like bubble gum & the snapper was like rubber with no seasoning. Grabbed the check an left to the nearest cajin restaurant. The waiter Carlos was great.
Mediocre food. pasta is good but don't come here if you want good seafood. Very lightly seasoned and reminded me of diner food.
Ummmm Absolutely not...the drinks was good tho. Food didn't look edible asked for no mushrooms... still got em I'm allergic
LITERALLY DISGUSTING! The waiter was extremely nice and super attentive but the food was absolutely awful and so\nwere the drinks. I didn't know cheese sticks and a sidecar could go so wrong. I tas…
The food is greasy, worse quality ever and very complicated with butter and creak that you cannot taste the food. I & my husband were nauseated all night, even though, we did not finish our food…
Beware of your bill after you leave. I was in Houston for work last week and ate at Bayou City. When I am reconciling my trip expenses this week I noticed that my credit card expense was higher than the picture of the filled out receipt I took while sitting at the bar. It appears my tip amount was altered.
I was invited to this restaurant, because I wanted fish. I really appreciate the invite, however, the fish taste like it was pull out of the pond and fried. It had no seasoning and tasted dirty. I have never experienced anything like this before in my life. I wish I would have looked at the reviews and went somewhere else. I don't think or I know i will never eat here again.
We visited this restaurant yesterday to celebrate my grandmother’s and grandfather’s birthdays. It was everyone’s first time dining there, as it had been recommended by a family friend. Unfortunately, the food was extremely bland and lacked seasoning. We ordered catfish and fries, gumbo, spinach dip, and bread, and my grandmother ordered a pasta dish. While the pasta was just okay, it was not worth the $30 price tag—especially when comparable pasta at Chili’s for around $16 has much more flavor. The only items that had any real taste were the spinach dip, the fries, and the bread. Everything else was very disappointing. The catfish tasted unusual and seemed to have nothing added besides cornmeal for texture, and the fried shrimp was the same—no seasoning at all. The gumbo tasted like plain beef broth with flavorless shrimp, dry shredded chicken breast, rice, and green onions. On a positive note, the atmosphere was nice, the restaurant was clean, the waitress was friendly, and parking was free and easily available. However, if you’re looking for flavorful seafood, this is not the place. If you prefer bland dishes with minimal seasoning in an otherwise great atmosphere, then this restaurant may work for you.
Went to the establishment at around 1:30 on Sunday afternoon for the crawfish boil they were doing outside and their happy hour specials, upon our arrival the hostess didn’t seem to happy with us being there and never said hello or how many. I told her that we will be two and she sat us at a table pretty quickly. We sat for about 2 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Then a waitress passed by and said I wont be taking care of you Tilly is your server but she busy right now can I get you some drinks we ordered drinks she brought them out quickly and that’s when we sat and we sat and we sat “Tilly” never came to say hi or take our order beyond disappointed in the way we were treated they looked at us like trash like we weren’t gonna spend money or tip so we left, I am a bar manager at a restaurant near by and needless to say we will never be back went to ragin Cajun down the road they treated us so nice! Do better bayou city seafood
