⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 4.5 / 5 (My Rating) Visit Common Bond Bistro & Bakery (Montrose) absolutely delivered. We left STUFFED and happy. Pastries We started with a kouign-amann (basically an upside-down croissant) and it was AMAZING!!flaky, caramelized, buttery perfection. We also had the Raspberry Chocolate Chip Muffin and my wife absolutely loved it. Brunch: We split the Eggs Benedict and the portion was HUGE. The hollandaise was perfect and the egg was cooked just right. Drinks I had the Morning Bun Latte which somehow hit that perfect sweet spot. It had the perfect balance of sweetness and coffee. To top it off, my wife’s Pumpkin Spice Latte was literally better than Starbucks, she said it came sweet and with the right amount of pumpkin 🎃 . Service The woman greeted us at the pastry counter was so sweet and patient. However, the male cashier made us feel a bit rushed even though there wasn’t a line, which took a little shine off the experience. Overall Food and drinks were AMAZING, portions were HUGE, and we’re definitely coming back. If not for feeling rushed at checkout, this would be a perfect score. P.S. They also don’t give you dining in glasses if you order a large coffee, you have to ask for it separately. Which is no problem, just a heads up 😎

Would recommend and love to come again! I came for breakfast at around 9:30 during a weekend - not crowded. The shakshuka crossiant is a special dish: a bowl-shaped crossiant, with a running egg and tomato-based sause inside. Very tasty even for me who is not a fan of tomato-flavored dishes. It's like a pasta but with crossiant instead. The bottom of the crossiant won't be crispy because of the gravy inside, but it still tastes well with its buttery flavor. Kouign Amann is crispy and reasonable in sweetness. Matcha latte is great - there is a bit of sweetness instead of a strongly bitter matcha flavor, but the sweetness is not strong and just right.

My first visit to Common Bond Coffee & Bakery was an absolute delight, thanks in large part to Ms. Ariam! As first-timers, we were a little unsure what to order, but she was so patient, kind, and gave us fantastic recommendations. Her warmth and professionalism made the experience even better. We tried the **Kouign-Amann** and **Cranberry Orange Scone**—both were absolutely amazing! The Kouign-Amann was buttery, flaky, and perfectly caramelized, while the scone had the ideal balance of tart cranberry and zesty orange. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service from Ms. Ariam and the team truly stood out. Can’t wait to come back and try more treats! Highly recommend this place.

Common Bond Montrose is a must-visit! The pastries are top-notch—especially the buttery croissants. The brunch menu is fantastic; the Chef’s Scramble and Avocado Smash are personal favorites. The coffee is always smooth, and the atmosphere is bright and welcoming. Whether you're grabbing a quick treat or enjoying a leisurely brunch, this spot never disappoints.

I stumbled upon this spot while visiting Houston, and it became a daily craving for their pastries. You must try the Kouign-Amann, I cannot stop thinking about it!! I rarely see it on menus and it was top notch—I was an immediate fan! We also loved the biscuits and gravy as well as the lattes! Friendly service too, looking forward to our next visit when in town!

I have come to common bond multiple times, and I recommend everything on their menu. I particularly like their brunch/breakfast (before 11) more than their lunch, but both are amazing. I tried the steak and onion sandwich for the first time the other day and it was amazing. The meat was tender, and it was just well-made and full of flavor. Usually my go-to is the soft scramble for breakfast, and it never disappoints. Overall, this is a great coffee shop!!

This was our first time visiting, and while the experience ended on a high note, it didn’t start that way. We had a few questions about the menu, and unfortunately, our barista’s attitude was surprisingly dismissive. When I asked about the white chocolate mocha, she curtly replied, “This isn’t Starbucks.” The audacity! I politely explained that I was a first-time guest—and also a local food guide—and her demeanor shifted immediately. Thankfully, a more experienced staff member stepped in and took over our order. She was incredibly attentive, making sure our coffee was not only delicious but beautifully presented. She even went the extra mile to ensure our pastry was freshly made and photo-ready. To be completely honest, the coffee and pastry were outstanding—worth every sip and bite. My only recommendation for the management team would be to reinforce the importance of customer service. First impressions matter, and you never know who’s walking through the door or what their reason for visiting might be. That said, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. I’ll be back!

The place looks nice, the food looks so beautiful but some of them looked better than they tasted. The flatbread we got was pretty good as were the fries, the kids loved them. The sweets that we got were kinda bland. I personally liked the almond croissant and coconut macaroon. Parking is limited but we were able to get a spot fairly fast. Tables inside were small and the chairs uncomfortable, but if you’re just sitting down for a quick meal they’re fine. I’d expect them to be bad for people who were planning on staying and working from here.

This place has really gone down hill. Who’s making the coffee?! Three different people touched my coffee cup, and completely forgot about it. The cashier, apparently the barista, finally followed by a random worker who just poured milk into the worst cup of coffee I’ve probably had. Look at the picture. Is this what a latte looks like? More like drip coffee with hot milk.
