Local Foods really impressed me. The place has a clean, chill vibe — perfect spot to grab a good meal and relax. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience easy. I had the crunchy chicken sandwich and it was legit one of the best I’ve had. Super crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. Service was top notch. Everything came out quick and smooth without feeling rushed. If you’re in Houston and want a solid meal in a laid-back spot, this place is a winner. I’ll definitely be back.

This place is so cozy and the atmosphere is very relaxed and chill! Pretty casual but still nice with outside seating. The menu is unique with a variety of healthy foods! Loved it here

I love the food here! Last time I dined at Local Foods, I ordered the Chimichurri Steak Torta, and just look at how thick she is! Their sandwiches come with two sides, and I went with the Basil Strawberries and the Tuscan Kale, both were super fresh and flavorful. One thing I always appreciate is their freshly made lemonade. This time I tried the cucumber lemonade, and I absolutely loved it! Edited to add a photo of the crunchy chicken sandwich I had on another visit. It was really good as well!

My first time here on 3/30/25 2:54pm. Cute atmosphere, Alive and a trail of 🍷 bottles as you enter🥰. They have a nice selection of non alcoholic and local brews too, cocktails on the go in the cooler for grabs, are only 22.00. They have grabible cold wine bottles and Moscato for your day drinking pleasure, " Got to love that". Great lighting, good looking staff, because of the lighting you can read the amazing menu offerings here "LOL" I'm 53 so...good lighting is helpful. It's also a very clean and organized operation from what I can see, I like the semi open kitchen concept at this location for presentation accountability. The only thing I had a issue with was how uncomfortable the booth I was sitting was. Hard seating cushion and a high back cushion that feels out of place for a average hight guy I am (5'11") with the coffees and fresh lemonades and teas. To the GF, V, N menu items this place is a high 10. Just like the sign says as you leave the Westiemer street side above the door, "GOOD VIBES ONLY" And you leave your mess at the table the amazing staff will clean up after you. So please tip these guys they work hard to give you the environment you enjoy so much on a daily. I am a real customer out at lunch on break from my own local restaurant and will be back soon. I recommend the HARVEST SALAD and your choice of protein... Rant over ,.......

Reddit suggested this place since I was looking for a vegetarian sandwich and I gotta say I was overall not disappointed. They have a ton of options and everything is very yummy with good serving size too. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered something called "crunchy" chicken sandwich thinking it would be fried chicken but it was not (hence why the word crunchy was in quotes) and I was disappointed although arguably that's completely my fault. Anyways I'd def come back and order other stuff!

Local foods never fails to impress me. Modern and peaceful ambience, chill vibe with cool drinks and delicious food using farm fresh ingredients. Do not miss out on the crunchy chicken sandwich it’s the best chick sandwich I’ve had. Quinoa salad as a side is my favorite. Had the quinoa burger which is also a great option for vegans. I will obviously be back.

I came to try the lunch, but surprisingly they had brunch at 1:30pm. So I got the steak and cheese omelette which tasted pretty good. One thing I could taste and be sure about is that the ingredients were fresh. Loved the smashed baked potatoes. Everything on my plate was delicious. The restaurant ambience was cool and nice. I recommend to try this place.

Local foods has a very nice and welcoming store! The restaurant style is order at the front then the food is brought out to you. I liked the large variety of selections to choose from! Anything you are craving they have. Today I tried the salmon poke bowl, and the crunchy chicken sandwich. The poke bowl wasn’t like your typical poke- this one focused on seasonal produce! The bowl has salmon, tuneric sauce, radishes, carrots, broccolini, and sweet potato. Very very good. The sandwich was outstanding with fresh, crunchy bread, sliced chicken, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, potato chips, cracker crumbles, and bacon! So so good. Definetly worth a visit. The service was very good too as they brought the food to your table and cleared the table when you were finished. Thank you local foods!

We came here for a reasonably healthy dinner and we're not disappointed. The service is kind, attentive, and very accommodating. Our kids were being very indecisive, and the staff was very patient with them. Our son loved his cheese and chicken quesadilla and our daughter loved her chicken sandwich. We opted to sit inside, where there was plenty of space, but there was also a very nice looking (and slightly busy) patio. I'd recommend coming here for lunch or dinner.

I had a great experience at this brunch spot, which offers a variety of tasty sandwiches. I went for the steak sandwich option which was nice. Although I didn’t enjoy the cashew queso, the staff handled my feedback professionally and quickly let me pick a different item, which I really appreciated. Overall, it’s a solid place with great service; I’d happily return if I’m in the area, though I wouldn’t go out of my way just for it.

Nut allergy warning: Most dishes at Local Foods have nuts. There are really limited options for people with a nut allergy and most are relatively pricey or not as healthy. I wouldn't recommend eating here with a nut allergy to be honest. Food came out really quickly, just about 8 minutes from ordering. I had the Gulf seafood sandwich and the only sides that were good were the chips and potato salad (not a fan of pickle, and the watermelon portions were just not much). The sandwich was great - very flavorful, decent portions. Much more shrimp than crab, though (4.5/5). The potato salad was okay, flavorful but a bit too much mustard (3.5/5). The chips varied in size and quality. Some felt almost stale but others were fine (2.5/5). It was very pricey ($21+ with tax and tip) so I wouldn't come back often. It gets packed around 12:30PM, but we got a table easily at 11:30AM.

Very Busy when I arrived. The food came out at a decent time. Parking was hard. I ordered the chili salad, and the salad was good. The chili is just ok. The cucumber lemonade was delicious.

I generally love local foods but what they are advertising versus what they are providing for this chicken Caesar wrap has been the biggest waste of $25 I’ve ever experienced. The ingredients advertised were not present in the wrap but even if it were just a chicken Caesar salad on a wrap that would be fine. Unfortunately the wrap was completely lacking in flavor and size and barely had enough ceasar dressing. While I was happy to spend the exorbitant amount because I typically like their food, this was proof I should only have the tried and true items.
