The food was good. Service was ok, as expected. I had a taste for the grilled shrimp and they did it just the way I liked it.

Great food and service, the fried chicken tacos were delicious but personally I would prefer their regular chicken tenders, the tacos were well priced and filling but the were a bit messy to eat. Nonetheless, restaurant was in pristine clean condition and is convenient if you're using the metro too, since it's by North Shepherd Park and Ride and has 4 bus lines that run right in front of it.

This place is really good. Prices affordable!!! The last time we went the drive thru operator sent out two drinks when we ordered one for the wait time, which we didn't mind since they let us know right away that they cook all orders at start of order. It is alot of food that we have leftovers for a second day.

Good fish and shrimp. Chicken not so good it always taste like its cooked in old dirty grease. I use to manage popeyes chicken so i know how good fresh chicken should look, and taste and that chicken is not it. Your fish is good people but please work on a fryer for chicken only and keep your oil filtered twice a day and cleaned out with fresh oil back in once a week then your chicken would be good because it do have good potential.

I'd encourage anyone who likes pasta to try their cajan pasta. It's fire! I saw a picture of it and it looked really good, so I drove 25 minutes to try it, and it was so worth it. The meat (turkey sausage, shrimp, and chicken) was good. The flavor was good, the portion size was good. The service was good. It was all just good. It was so good that I had to call them and give them a compliment over the phone!

I recently visited the Little York and I-45 location. After hearing so many complaints about this restaurant , I decided to try it for myself. For starters. The on site manager "Talisha" was amazing. She made sure food was hot & fresh. And was so helpful on explaining the menu items. The restaurant at this location was clean and inviting. Hopefully , other locations will look and take notes of her example of excellence. Cooking large quantities of food to just sit under a heat lamp is a sure recipe of horrible food. It goes without saying , that I will be making a return trip to the restaurant. Great fresh food at a reasonable price. Looking forward to another enjoyable experience......

This location is great. I’ve been coming here for at least 4 years. All I’ve had was great: cajun pasta, chicken tenders, fried chicken, chicken fried rice, mashed potatoes, french fries. The employees are attentive and nice. Prices are reasonable.

I ordered the fish with shrimp fried rice extra spicy and a drink, and it was fantastic. Everything arrived piping hot and tasted incredibly fresh. The spice level was perfect and really brought the dish to life. The fish portion was a bit smaller than I expected, but the chicken tenders were huge and definitely impressed me. Overall, I had a great experience and I am excited to come back and try more items from the menu.

Some of the best food places to eat are always in the hood. I ordered a 3 piece catfish with 5 fried shrimp and side order of seasoned fries. I was not disappointed. Little york,Little york,Little york. Everything was hot and fresh and delicious the food was so hot that it burnt my tongue. That dont ever happen anymore. The food was great and the people great. It's New Year's Day and there's nothing else open and I'm driving after a long day of showing houses and decided I would give this place a chance (again, not really out of choice but necessity).. I am absolutely shocked at how how good the food was. It would probably be 4.5 out of five and I'm rounding up. I got the shrimp and catfish and the fish did not taste fishy!! (That's what's usually wrong with catfish in Houston.) The shrimp was plump and a flavorful (I wish there was at least one more piece). I got dirty rice as a side and it was very, very decent. The only reason I wouldn't get it again is because I would want to try some of the other things like shrimp fried rice and the mashed potatoes that the lady recommended. I'm not sure if all the branches are like this, but I will definitely try it up at some point in the future.

Got the special (that came with 2 chicken, 3 fish, 6 shrimp, one side which was fries, and bread) and a pint of gumbo to go. Service was fast and friendly and the interior was inviting. The food was very tasty. Shrimp, chicken, and gumbo were spicy in a "Louisiana" kind of way. The food went well with the remoulade sauce and I love the sauce. Cajun fries and gumbo were also great. Really good place for a good bite of Louisiana style food! Would love to come back some time.

Owner is treating all the guests so nice. Chicken tacos are great for a halal taco. Tenders are great and the souce they have with the meal is great. Prices are as low as possibile. Definitely the place to go for halal fried chicken.

My experience there was great. This is not a fast food restaurant, so you will get hot food. I order chicken and Cajun rice, which was good. I think the rice could be more Cajun but other then that it was good.

This place never disappoints me...greasey greasey..I love coming here, their food always has good flavor.. I ordered the triple fish chicken and shrimp combo.. Awe !!! it was very very good I recommend this to anybody especially after you had a couple of cold 🍻. Ive had the chicken before from another location and it was sooo good and not greasy. Decided to come to this location and got the kids chicken nuggets and the fish and shrimp plate. I was a little skeptical and i did wait a little while at the window but they made it clear with the this is not fast food sign. The food was amazing! The fish, the shrimp, the nuggets, the fries and even the coleslaw. I didn't give the full 5 stars because i initially ordered a shrimp poboy and they didn't have anymore...bummer! Highly recommend coming here for some yummy food.

I ordered a fish and shrimp. These fish were crispy and thinner than I imagined they would be. They give you a zesty sauce that is amazing and you want to take home. The shrimp were alright and the fries were generic.

The place it self needs some work...maybe new floors or the decor....I dont know. The food was actually very good, dont let the cosmetics fool you. Not the place for you if you are looking for fancy.

The fried chicken was Soooooo Good. The shrimp etoufee was not good, the dirty rice wasn't good either, or the beans. Customer Service was great and we had to wait 13 min for the food.

We tried this place out on our way to Galveston. I got the fried chicken and it was delicious. My wife got the fish tacos and they was tasty. The service was great. We didn't wait to long for the food. The place was hot though. They need to work on the air conditioning. This place is definitely worth checking out.

I was introduced to this place about a year ago and it was outstanding.. Came in from San Antonio and decided to drop by for a bite to eat.. I left puzzled, because it didn't give me that feeling I had when I visited there a while back.. Now I will say this, the staff was awesome but the food quality changed alot.. Not sure what's going on, but I'll wait and see other reviews before I swing back by this place.

The chicken here is really good most of the time,except when they fried the chicken in the fish oil and then they give you chicken tasting and smelling like fish, so gross...!! I'll give them 5 start when my chicken doesn't tastes or smells like fish... Oh don't get me wrong I have nothing against the fish tacos they are actually quite yummy.

The chicken was good but the grease it was friend in was kind of old; I could taste it in the chicken when I ate it. The hot sauce packages continue to be an issue because they are so tiny and made of plastic, and if you catch it on a good grip within the preforation, you will be successful in opening it. However if u don't have fingernails and you don't get a good grip on it while trying to tear it open you will not succeed and it will become an issue for you. Nevertheless the ketchup packages seems to be okay because they're made with a foil packaging, which is far easier to tear open. It is only the hot sauce packages made of plastic and their tiny size, and I have big hands, that makes it difficult to open and enjoy the product.

So the food was great I really enjoyed it plenty of chicken and shrimp in some very good jambalaya rice. But the service was in the atmosphere was horrible they literally charged me $15.67 of which $12 was my meal and $2.49 was for my drink. Now I think that's fairly priced but the fact that they refused to give me a refill after I spent three bucks on a drink and $12 on a meal is beyond me. Not very good customer service if you ask me so does don't cost that much sure they're profit but the food here has a bit of a spice so I think it's the bad form to not give refills. Seeing as how this is a Cajun restaurant and they were blasting Hispanic music out of a big speaker in the lobby a different atmosphere than what I was looking for and I like Spanish music. The only reason why I get this place three stars is because the food was good. And the store wasn't exactly clean feeling. It's in desperate need of a remodel or better management

This place is poor. The food isn't good. The service is really slow. But the only redeeming quality is the fact that the cashier literally seems to care and will apologize for the long wait time. But for all the your patience, you will be rewarded with sub-par food. It really doesn't deserve the second star. Avoid this establishment.

Spent time arguing abt price versus what is stated. Then I requested hot, fresh fries And my order was presented to me with dry, stale fries. And I made a specific request to Manager. Not Satisfied. Will be taking those Dry Stale Fries back after I leave my office for a refund or Replacement.

Normally great with no issue. This was all I ate yesterday and immediately felt sick after. I think it was food poisoning because I vomited 3 times and it was exactly what I ate… unfortunately, even though this is the first time this happened, I won’t be returning. It sucks because they’ve always been good. Just can’t take the risk because food poisoning is a horrible feeling. I’m still in bed, hoping to regain my energy once I can fully rehydrate. Be safe.

I ordered a redfish combo. Why did I get to the window and find out that the redfish is really tilapia?!!...So I asked if she thought I ordered catfish to which she replied "No, we have catfish and tilapia fish." Well...why does the sign say redfish? She didn't know and thought that they were the same thing. After explaining that they were very different she assumed I didn't want it and just handed me back my card. I told her I'd go ahead and take the food (hoping she was wrong) but she wasn't, it was gray, tasteless tilapia. Disappointing! And I had to pay a redfish upcharge - would have preferred the regular price catfish! Since the redfish was my reason for going there in the past (it was really good!) I will not be going back.

This place has really gone down in service and in quality. They are slow with your meal. They are always out of pieces of chicken. The associates do not know what customer service is and now they charge .75 for the sauce. The chicken has been warm and dry at best. Really disappointed at this location.

I went there last night the wait time was at least 15 minutes and no one was in front of me. I ordered seafood, when I got to work I was like “yeah my food gonna be goood,” I was wrong. I looked at the shrimp they were small and dark, i didn’t pay no mind and thought maybe the grease going bad. Well, when I took a bite the shrimp was kinda chewy and a little tuff. I then thought maybe that was just a bad one out of the bunch. I was wrong, all of them was like that instead of the fries. They were the freshest out of all and my roll looked squished. I have been to the location on Little York plenty of times and seen fresh plump, lightly cooked fried shrimp. This time was horrible and my tummy felt a bit nauseous afterwards. I won’t be going back there for a while.😩🤢😠

Chicken tenders were nasty. No longer is there Cajun sauce to dip tenders in, only the most watery ranch dressing you've likely seen. This place has dropped a long way. Long gone are the good old days of Captain D's, or even as good as it was when it first reopened under its new name. For what its become, you'll be better off across the street at KFC.

Raw salty chicken, cold hard roll. Wrong order, followed by attitude. Clerk (w. orange hair) only chirps/talks when looking down at register which makes her impossible to hear over the Music blasting at 53db. No iced tea (only boiled sugar syrup). How hard is it to make real ice tea? ... And do I really need 14 Napkins? That's what was stacked on my tray. What a waste. I normally give 3 strikes, but 8 fails in one visit.... I'm never coming back.

I visit the location on Little York and Shepard tonight. I ordered two combos chicken tenders and wings. Those wings was the worst tasting wings of my life I wouldn't even serve it to a homeless dog. Since I've worked at a chicken established before I can tell that them wings been sitting under a warmer for at least 45 min to an hour. There was no flavor and the chicken was so tough and dry that the meat was sticking to the bones. I have never gave an review but for this restaurant to be fairly new to Houston and sitting in between KFC and Popeyes that was a disgrace. Now the chicken tenders was good but of course that was made fresh. I was so mad I didn't even finish my food I just threw my hard working money away. I really hope you take this opportunity to make some changes and better quality food at all times.

Worst service I've ever had. Ordered four dinners and only received three of them. After everyone else had finished their orders the fourth meal still hadn't arrived. After we went back to the counter we were given the chicken and told that they needed to drop some fries. After another twenty five minute wait they still hadn't brought out the fries. The chicken was salty and the cook had way too much Creole seasoning. I spent 17 dollars last Tuesday on the two piece specials. The chicken was horrible my family and I could not eat the chicken. That was a waste. Cant wait to inform the manager.

My chicken was sour. My jambalaya smelled like stagnant water. The water leaking from the light in dining area was a red flag that their food wasn't safe either. On top of all that the owner was rude, he pushed an employee out of his way with my togo bag. Never going back and truthfully they should be shut down. Their food is toxic aswell as the owners attitude. When i called to tell him he should check his coolers he assured me that his coolers were fine and that i was the problem.

Dead, disrespectful, and rude employees, the owner at hand is quick to offer refunds and get you out of there... I believe the approach is something they should work on for customers to feel comfortable and accept the fact they are not fast food business...

Lady outside just told me that crew isnt here and its already 11am. It was supposed to be open and serving 30 mins ago. Further she is telling me that it would take her additional 30 mins for greasing. Her attitude even expressed not to wait here in parking lot. Kidding me. Came for halal chicken.

For it to have been 10:50 in the morning The building was not clean, tables had food on them, and the building smelled funny. I had the everyday combo 2 piece leg and thigh a 2 pieces of fish The chicken tasted old the grease tasted old the fish was very slimy even though it was the only thing that tasted fresh you can tell they don't change the grease. everything was terrible even the french fries. How do you make french fries terrible!!??? DO NOT EAT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT BUBBLE GUTS AND HEARTBURN

this place is joke and they should really consider making chicken only. The food is mediocre at best. I got the 2 wing plate and fish tacos. I can't lie the wing was really good but the taco bell looking fish taco was a joke and it's almost $10 for two tacos bruhh!!! The fried rice can use some work too. I never care how much I spend on food as long as is good. But I spend $22 what a disappointment.
