Signature Cafe is praised for its authentic and tasty Nigerian food, especially the jollof rice. Many customers have been going for years and use them for catering. Some mention the interior could use updating and customer service can be inconsistent.

Opinions de Signature Cafe Houston
The food and staff are always good to me. The atmosphere could use a remodel. However, I will still l continue to frequent the establishment.
the jollof rice here is truly top-notch, bursting with authentic flavors that transport you straight to west africa - a must-try!
Excellent food and service. My go-to for all my parties, been catering for my event's for over 6 years now, and has never disappointed. The coconut 🥥 rice, Yam porridge et al. is very delicious 😋
If you are looking for tasteful authentic Nigerian food, come here. The staff is very helpful, professional and friendly. They serve your food very fresh and hot! They also can cater to your unique taste whether you want mild or hot peppers. As a Lawyer, sometimes I bring my clients there to eat, I have never been disappointed.
I have been eating Signature since 2013. Every family event including weddings are catered by them. Ask about their Suya - when available, it is AWESOME! Once you eat their food, why go anywhere else?
Awsome super tasty food. Their food is good and cooked to perfection. It has the traditional taste that you are looking for. The best African restaurant in Houston. Their specialty is Nigerian food. If you have not eaten here you are missing something. Price fits the amount of food you get. I love this place.

Love their food. You can always rely on them for authenticity. I have been patronizing their restaurant for over 4 years now. One thing I noticed the last time I went there was they hadg switched out their black soup take-out containers for a smaller sized white container. I was upset to see that and this is how you loose long term customers. Less food, slightly higher price. Their nigerian dishes are probably one of the best in Houston but, they lost their 'upper hand' when they switched to smaller sized containers.
This is the best place in the whole of Houston Texas for your African local and continental dishes. Try them and thank me everyday

Wonderful place with home cooking. As you know home cooking takes time . If you want food from here whether takeout or dinner in, you must be patient. Stay is very polite and professional. Love it!!!

Ok so my first time trying this place but second time trying African food and let me say this place has definitely changed my mind about African food. I ordered the goat peppersoup with white rice and vegetables. I started eating before I left the parking lot it was smelling so good. Now me personally I don’t like chew texture food and that’s what this had so I had to pick through it to find the pieces I like but the flavor was amazing and the spice cleared up my allergies. I’ll be back for more.
I appreciate the compassionate nature of the owner and manager. He truly has a Servant's Heart and cares for his customers! He handled a miscommunication with our order with so much care and concern. Though the restaurant can use a face lift, the customer service culture surpasses everything else. Thank you and many Blessings unto you!

1st timers. I had grilled fish & jollof-rice. Husband had stewed chicken, plantain & rice. He finished his food. My fish wasn't freshly fried ( my husband opinion) but I enjoyed the rice & veggie. Inside could use a coat of paint & air freshener. Kool for takeout 🥡 orders.

I had to place a 3 star because the food excellent. However, it could be more appealing inside and out. Secondly, it appears we disturbed the person that was working during our visit, when we entered the establishment. The server was taking his medication and taking personal calls across from us. All ended well - we tipped the server well and no hard feelings. Our bill w/tip was a little over 200.00 dollars. I will not ever dine in, I probably will go back to order to go dishes. The food was good. Please Note: We were disappointed because, they no goat😔.
The food is GREAT but the CUSTOMER SERVICE is TERRIBLE. We got there and were greeted with a " what do you want? This is African food, Have you ever eaten African food?" We waited for our food for half an hour and got it after we asked. Also we could not eat in since they had a meeting going on at the restaurant during business hours. I wish Africans (I'm African) had better customer service to complement the great food.

TERRIBLE I PLACED AN ORDER THROUGH DOORDASH AND BECAUSE OF GREED THEY CHARGED ME AN EXTRA $24. MIND YOU ALL I DO IS PRESS THE "REORDER" BUTTON ALL THE TIME AND ALL OF A SUDDEN I'VE ADDED EXTRA THINGS. I'VE ORDERED FROM HERE MANY TIMES. IM VERY DISAPPOINTED. I CALLED AND WHEN I EXPRESSED WHAT HAD HAPPENED THEY TOLD I ORDERED EXTRA AND THEN THEY HUNG UP IN MY FACE. RIDICULOUS. NEVER AGAIN. DISRESPECTFUL CLOWNS
Very mediocre. Not good vibes.
Not welcoming and the prices are not consistent
Very Disappointed. I had been coming here for about a month only with no problem. I only get carry out orders due to my schedule. On one particular visit, the lady behind the counter asks me if I want to tip as she took my card to pay for my food. I responded "No" and that I only tip when I dine in. The next time I visit the restaurant the same lady takes my order and I end up waiting 45 minutes for my food before I finally give in and just walk out of the restaurant. As a 2nd generation Nigerian, it shames me to have to write this negative review, but If it can save others from a horrible customer service experience, than so be it. I have NEVER ever had a cashier ASK me to tip for a Carry out order before. Add to that the fact that the food is not exactly cheap. Imagine paying $14 dollars for a small bowl of Fried Stew that will last only 4 meals only to have the cashier nag you for a tip on top of the surcharge? We as Nigerians can do better when it comes to customer service. We are in desperate need of a Nigerian restaurant that offers an enjoyable experience and not just good food.
The food was bearable. Nothing spectacular as far as jollof rice and veggies go. The experience also was unpleasant. My encounter with the owner began with him vehemently refusing to give me a straw because I got a bottle of water with my food, not a soda. One miserable straw.
I love Egusi and FuFu (poundo), but not from this restaurant, it was terrible. The Egusi had a burnt smell and the fufu had a funny chemical after taste. I'm very disappointed about losing my $15.
