Great bar with a massive outdoor space. The best part is the free parking behind the building. Awesome beer selection.

Long story short, don't let the lack of parking keep you from the Social Beer Garden. You'll regret it. This place lives up to its name with the way the outdoor area is set up. It allows for a relaxing environment where you can enjoy good conversation. The seating area is sufficient but yet not crowded. And the decorations encourage taking plenty of photographs. We were there during a perfect cool and crisp evening. We were able to enjoy one of the two fire pit areas. Best part, it was a family friendly environment while we were there. I bounced between 4 and 5 stars only because of parking. But I was able to look past it with everything the Social Beer Garden had to offer.

Fun spot to watch the Astros and drink/play. They did not have a taco truck when we went but call ahead to confirm if food is available. We would have stayed longer if we could order food. We were given the option to bring outside food (DoorDash/uber eats). They have ping pong table, dart board (electric and cork board) pool table, few arcade games. Doggies are allowed. Lots of space to spread out. Drinks were good and wide selection of beers too. Great find!

NEW FAVORITE CASUAL BAR. Literally love everything about this place. Great presentation, little touches everywhere in the design. CLEAN bathrooms and spaces. Awesome selection of vodkas. Sitting hammocks were dope. Garden, outdoor games, indoor game room, balcony, main bar - the spices were just so diverse it really felt like it would help eliminate crowding. We were there at open, so it was empty (loved that to be honest). Had a Ketel One (grapefruit rose) Screwdriver, and it was the best drink I’ve ever tasted. I hate the taste of liquor and hate sugary drinks (stomach and headaches) but this drink was perfect.

Really cool beer garden. Plenty of seating inside and even more outside. Parking can be a bit tricky there but for the most part you can find parking on the side of the street. Friendly bartenders. Food truck outside as well.

Nice place! There's a great taco truck out back with very affordable prices. The drinks are affordable compared to other downtown bars. The bartenders are really kind too. Steve is great, as well as the woman with shorter dyed hair. Try the green tea shot, it's cheap and tasty!

Absolutely love this place!! The decor is amazing from all the taps on the wall to the beer can lined wall going up the stairs. The restrooms are very unique with keg urinals and barrel sinks. Loved the popcorn they provided to snack on. They have plenty of games upstairs to keep you occupied. Additional restrooms upstairs are a plus! I saw somebody ordered food and it looked amazing. Will definitely be back to try the food.

Loved this place. Very nice place to be social and hangout. Came to watch the UFC fight. It was packed but still plenty of room to sit. They got couches, stools for their tall tables, hammocks, picnic tables, beanbag chairs, and more. All kinds of games to play as well. The staff from the taco truck and the ones selling tamales were very friendly and even the staff cleaning up were polite. The bartenders weren't as friendly or helpful. But I will definitely come back I just won't be visiting the bar side.

Went for a walk and ran across this place. It was early in the day so we were one of a few there.. but really good vibes, great outdoor space and looks like a place to watch some sports. I understand it is a 49ers bar, so left them a nice note ( etched in sand, GO LIONS). I would definitely come back during the evening to experience the social aspect.

Kenzie at Social Beer Garden Deserves a Medal! Let me start by saying: I had heard the rumors about Malört. The fear. The regret. The taste. So naturally, when I saw it behind the bar at Social Beer Garden, I was both intrigued and terrified. Enter Kenzie — the hero I didn’t know I needed. When I nervously asked about Malört, she didn’t laugh or try to scare me more. Instead, she gave me the perfect pep talk, walking me through what to expect like a seasoned guide leading a rookie into battle. Her mix of humor, encouragement, and honesty was exactly what I needed. And then… the shot. Yes, it was everything I feared. Bitter, confusing, strangely herbal — but somehow, because of Kenzie, it was also kind of magical. I survived. I kind of loved it?? I’m still processing. Kenzie made what could’ve been a one-time joke shot into a rite of passage. She turned fear into fun and made me feel like part of the Social Beer Garden family. If you’re thinking about trying Malört or just want a bartender who makes your night better no matter what go find Kenzie!

There's so many cool things about this place. Great drinks? Check. Cool atmosphere? Check. Great places for Instagram pics? Check. Food? Check. A ton of beer options (it's in the name!). There's two outdoor sections: one upstairs and the other behind the bar. I like meeting friends here because there's plenty to do besides drink!

Excellent beer, cocktail and whiskey selection. The service here is second to none and the prices are outstanding. The only challenge seems to be parking but there is plenty across the street. Highly recommend stopping when you get a chance.

I’m a beer drinker first and foremost and when I look for beer, I also look for atmosphere. Beer gardens are naturally one of my favorite places to visit and a beer garden in the Houston are that has most everything I like in a beer garden plus a little bit more is Social Beer Garden HTX. Social Beer Garden HTX has two levels with a large, well- stocked bar that has about 40 different beers from which to choose along with just about every type of liquor you could possibly desire. The main level has a good deal of seating and space while the upper level is set aside for video games, pool, pinball, and more. The main attraction at Social Beer Garden HTX is the outdoor garden. And the main feature of the garden is the large outdoor viewing screen, perfect for catching your favorite sports action. There are other large viewing screens in the Houston area, but they are almost entirely on the inside. This might very well be the largest outdoor viewing screen in Houston. Besides the large screen, the other standout at Social Beer Garden HTX is the outdoor lawn chairs and hammocks. The lawn chairs make sitting extra comfortable and who doesn’t like having a hammock on which to swing? If you get hungry, you can walk up to the food truck of your choosing and place an order. There are usually food trucks back here, but I recommend calling ahead, just to be certain. Service is prompt and attentive at Social Beer Garden HTX. The beer can wall display on the stairwell, the beer stein display, and the beer tap handle display are icing on the cake. When you consider everything, Social Beer Garden HTX has just about everything you could want in a beer garden, and it earns and enthusiastic recommendation from me.

It was on a Friday night that my colleague and I happened upon this place. The second we parked, we were greeted by their very helpful parking attendant and from that point on were shown such great hospitality. Then when we walk in, there happen to be a FREE burlesque show going on. The burlesque show was mesmerizing and the ladies were absolutely beautiful. What an experience! Anddd of course the venue has so many different vibes to fit all of your night out needs. Great beer list as well! 10/10 would recommend!!

I recently hosted a big event here (Beyond the Covers Book Fair) and I cant say enough good things about the entire experience. I wish there were more stars. The venue is amazing for a fun event with plenty of options and space for lots of vendor booths, the staff is incredibly welcome and kind and flexible (and they made some amazing special cocktails for my event). The food trucks were a hit, the service was fast and friendly, the venue has lots of great spots to get those Instagram worthy shots, and they were just so accommodating and easy to work with from beginning to end. Can’t recommend highly enough for your next event!

Always a good time, they have a great selection of beer. Only down side is the music they play down stairs doesn’t play half as loud upstairs. So upstairs is just plain Jane when it comes to music, almost like crappy elevator music plus no one wants to keep buying songs if the music should be free at a bar.

Vibe- Such a cool spot to hangout at! It’s giving Friday night vibes, girl’s night! There’s plenty of space inside, there’s hammocks and plenty of tables outside downstairs, and plenty of tables upstairs too with a great view of the city! There’s food trucks there each night and you can find out which ones will be there on the websites. Customer service- Great! All the staff was kind and nice! Food/drinks- I got some food from the THINK TACOS food truck that was there; they made me a veggie taco situation with potatoes, pico, cilantro, and a guacamole like green sauce with some fries. It was so good!!!! Parking- The best parking ever! There’s an entire lot behind the spot with plenty of free parking spots.

I cannot rave enough about what an amazing experience we had here. We hosted our holiday party here yesterday and everything went amazing. The owners Robert and Miles were incredible and very accommodating. They made sure our experience was as smooth as possible and stayed in constant communication with us. The food was absolutely delicious and prepared by their kitchen. Our staff was raving about the halal lamb sliders they made for us and the chicken wings and sliders! The drinks were delicious, fresh, and fast, and their bartenders did an amazing job serving all of our attendees quickly while still taking care of the guests that were there at the bar and downstairs. The vibe was very relaxed and fun with an excellent patio space both upstairs and downstairs. The DJ they hired for us was absolutely awesome and set the vibe for our event wonderfully. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good time out or to host an event. The owners were so amazing, I cannot say that enough! This place is so fun! It's almost like 3 places in one. So my friends and I went for the book fair and there were hamicks in the front, books, swinging chairs. Then you go inside and it has a dark cub bar vibe which I love. Really chill and had neon bracelets on the tables. You have to try the chocolate peanut butter bear. By far my favorite. Ok it back it's so spacious and has greenery, food trucks and vendors on certain nights. I'm going back soon because this place was so nice :) the owners are super friendly also!!

Social Beer Garden HTX was a wonderful space to host a happy hour for our healthcare non-profit organization, where we gathered 15-20 individuals. The managers Rob & Myles were extremely accommodating, communicative and helpful! Each time I had a question, they were a quick phone call or email away, plus their attentiveness was unmatched. The space and venue itself is large, clean and organized. Upstairs on the second floor there is a pool table along with other entertainment, including an outdoor rooftop. We had our happy hour on a Thursday, which was their steak night and trivia night. There were a few food options, I went with tamales and they were very delicious!! We had such a good time! Overall, this is a great place to host a gathering, whether it’s a corporate or smaller gathering. It’s also a great place for individuals to play trivia and find entertainment. Lastly having food options was a plus and their lengthy drink menu was impressive. 10/10 would recommend! Thank you Rob and Myles for your hospitality. We will definitely be back!

Social Beer Garden HTX is a blend of a sports bar and a lively exotic dance venue, offering strip shows on the first floor. Like many bars, they have a strict policy of checking IDs at the front yard and do not charge an entrance fee. Conveniently, there is a parking lot specifically for this place right across the street. One interesting feature is the pizza vending machine right by the bar, allowing you to grab a pizza and enjoy it inside, although I can't vouch for the quality. Drink prices are reasonable. The bar offers a variety of activities on the second floor, including mini pool tables, pinball machines, darts, and a ping pong table, as shown in the video. Upon entering the bar, you'll notice a collection board of beer draft handles on the right wall. A long table with ample seating on either side is situated in the middle of the salon, facing the dancers. Performers can go on the table to entertain the crowd. The shows cater to a variety of interests for both straight and LGBT audiences. One male dancer impressed with his fantastic, flexible body moves, and other four female dancers perform one after another in the small space between the table and the stairs, with a DJ playing behind a curtain below the stairs. Although the venue is relatively small, it features five dancers who attract a decent crowd and their gratuity. On weekends, the shows continue until 2 AM. Male bathroom was relatively clean and acceptable. Ascending the stairs, you'll find an amazing collection of beer cans adorning the walls. The large outdoor area in the backyard, with plenty of tables, is another highlight, as captured in the pictures. Living up to its name, Social Beer Garden HTX serves a variety of beers and offers several types of cocktails. I've captured many pictures of their menu. They also host other activities, as shown on a TV monitor on the wall, such as comedy shows at specific times. Overall, Social Beer Garden HTX is an acceptable place with a variety of beers and cocktails, a relatively good vibe despite its small area, and offers several activities like dancing, pool games, and ping pong.

First time here and so far I’d give it a 9/10. It’s very close to my house & Happy Hour Prices were great, and I also love that they do reverse happy hour after 7pm Mon-Thur as well. Drinks were good! Had an Old Fashioned, Mexican Candy shot, and vodka soda with lime. All delicious! Atmosphere was nice. Only change I would make are the bar chairs. So many bars and restaurants have the same style chairs and I just feel that they’re uncomfortable, but of course, just my opinion. Staff was super friendly and bathrooms are very clean and trendy too! I can’t wait to return during the spring to enjoy the outside patios. Overall, I’ll definitely be back.

Decided to stop to watch Rockets game and have a few drinks. Turned out to be a good decision. A very lively spot. Lots of energy. Good music. Visited on a Friday night. Would've stayed to listen to DJ but had other plans. Drinks were good, not expensive. Had some good ciders. Definitely will visit again when looking to jump start the night!

Fun place with a great vibe and lots of drink options. The outdoor space is awesome, though it can get a bit crowded on weekends. Still, a great spot to hang out with friends.

It's not a bad place, but bar is limited and often runs out of its cocktail options, there's no direct in house food and the food from the food trucks is mid. The pool tables are fun and there is multiple TVs but if you come when it's busy say goodbye to having a good spot to watch the big screen. Better honestly for that. Overall, I enjoyed Social Beer Garden. Service was friendly, happy hour drink prices were solid, and there was a good selection. It was a Wednesday, so the vibe was pretty relaxed. That said, I wasn’t a big fan of kids going crazy on the patio — not really what I’m looking for when grabbing drinks. The atmosphere leaned more casual/divey than a true beer garden, but I can see this spot being a lot more fun during games with the big outdoor screen. Good spot depending on what you’re looking for.

I went there a few times had a few women bartenders that were nice and fun to be around last time. This guy bartender was a jerk and I haven’t been back.. I’ve actually told my friends not to go either too bad. I like the venue.

Liked this place initially until I came one night and apparently the entire middle of the beer garden was designated as vip only even though there was no one one the “vip”. Then I notice a guy who looked like he was working for ice walking around and apparently had weapons. His face was covered. This is unacceptable to let someone walk around like that with their face covered at the bar. Show your face if you’re not up to something shady. What kind of bar allows that? Their politics views seem clear. Go elsewhere. Update: I’m aware it was private security for an artist but that’s no excuse to allow an artist to have a masked man running around the venue given the current state of things in this country.

One of the worst places in Houston that doesn't have a clear area to park. As I was trying to go park at the parking lot next to the bar, the woman at the front came in with an attitude saying I couldn't park here and proceeded to tell me a cone was placed here for us to not park there. She then put the cone at the spot where you can see it in the picture. It wasn't there in the first place. Knowing how busy this street is, I decided to back up and try to get out with precaution and as soon as I pull back to the lane, boom, a crash occurred and my car is left without a bumper. Please be careful here and park at the space that is shown. I know it’s shady, but this is what I was told to go before crashing.

My friends had us meet here for an after party following their wedding reception, and despite having a nice time otherwise, the manager was incredibly rude, and we found out that he was actually drunk, which I understand to be against TABC regulations. The bartenders were nice, but there are plenty of other places to go with friendlier people.

I wish I could give this place no stars. Today was my first time visiting the establishment. The bartender with the purple and pink hair was very rude and nasty to my husband when she asked him what the tab was under. She didn’t communicate that she needed to know whose name the tab was under . Furthermore this employee needs more training on how to communicate effectively with customers. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone due to the way me and my husband were treated on today.

I went to this place tonight to stop and get a drink and some tacos.It’s currently 9:08pm. I I Walked up to the bar and there was a guy with black hair and a black beard leaning on the counter. I smiled and said Hi do I order tacos here and he had the dirtiest look on his face and gave me a dry “in the back” that’s it. I’ve never been here before, I’m saying here because I’m sitting in my car writing this review outside in my car before I pull off. He didn’t say “ Hi” no smile or even look me in my face and answer me. I know he saw me walk in because he looked at me when I walked through the entrance and he was leaning over the bar looking directly at the entrance. Once I got to the bar he stayed there but looked the other way. However after he told me where to go, I started to walk to the back to place my taco order but then I changed my mind and just walked out. Made me uncomfortable and my energy just changed from happy to have tacos and a drink to just go get a burger where they’re not rude. So upsetting because the vibe outside in the back was so nice. It’s unfortunate how one person who works at an establishment serving people is rude and make you not want to return and this was my first impression. Sad
