The food is always hot and fresh! The orange chicken is huge and the portions are great👍🏼Egg rolls are small BUT very crunchy 😋 The server is always terrific and the overall ambiance is quiet and peaceful.

I love Summer China Diner! I've never had a bad meal here. I've ordered various items for my family over the past few years and they rave about quality and taste. Today, I ordered lunch portions of the sesame chicken, general tso chicken, and cashew chicken (first time) all with fried rice. The lunch portions are an excellent value and come with rice and a soup. In the past, I've also ordered shrimp fried rice (yum), various specialty dinners (all delicious), and crispy egg rolls (love them). I always call them directly for delivery orders because it is faster and they are super accommodating. Each delivery has been hot and quick. I definitely recommend trying Summer China Diner out!

The man was very kind, food was splendid and the environment gave quiet, friendly and calm vibes. Food for one person will be around ~10 for one dish and ~20 for two. The food is very filling, especially one dish which makes it cheap yet good quality. Everything is amazing! 100% recommend❤️

Super delicious as someone who has eaten real Chinese food I’d say this spot can be compared to the legit spots in Chinatown! I never liked shrimp fried rice in my life but I really liked it here, you can taste the quality. There is absolutely no fishiness in the shrimp at all (I can’t eat fishy food). The beef mushu is amazing, my favorite!!

Best Chinese in North East Houston! Someone took me here on a first date and that was the best that happened during that courtship or lack thereof. Lol Back to business - The owners are so kind and friendly. The restaurant is quiet and family oriented. There’s NOTHING bad on the menu. Simply a hidden gem.

Came for lunch. Service was nice, food was good but it was SCORCHING hot!! I know Chinese food is usually hot but this is on another level. I couldn’t even eat for a few minutes. I had to crack open the egg roll and spring roll and let it breathe.

If I could give 0 stars I would! I was highly disappointed in the experience today. I decided to try this place because I was in the area and wanted some fried rice. The rice was bland and mushy, just basic steamed rice. The chicken had a really weird texture. I tasted this food that's all as you can see by the picture, spoke with the waiter and he asked if I wanted something else. Then he proceeded to say he would ask the manager first, came back to say the manager said no. I then asked to speak to the manager and he walked off. He avoided the table, no manager ever came out. I asked again for the manager and he says the manager is not there. They make no attempt to satisfy their customer. WILL NEVER VISIT THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN. Save your money and find something better to eat. I had to pay for a plate full of uneaten food that was left there because IT'S NASTY! Do better.

I ordered pepper steak and received beef with onions and green peppers drowned in sauce. Not a flake of pepper anywhere. Chinese "restaurants" like this one do this frequently. They send you whatever they want, despite your order. Very frustrating and frankly, upsetting. Luckily I was able to receive a partial refund from the 3rd party app I ordered through. They sure put up a fight, though. I will not be ordering from this place again. I encourage others to be wary of this place and their crooked practices.
