Ambrosia has an inviting atmosphere with attentive servers. The quality of the food was great and they were more than happy to customize die to dietary restrictions. The drinks were served promptly and the wine selections was excellent. Can't wait to go again!

First time visiting Ambrosia. Had reservations for a Saturday night. They had an excellent selections of specials for that day, however I chose the highly touted lasagna, which was wonderful. The accompanying bread was still steaming. Tried their Tiramisu, the perfect ending to a perfect dining experience. Have returned many times since this post. All experiences have been great!

One of the few places I can dine confidently (Celiac). Staff is great and knowledgeable about gluten-free options and avoidance of cross contaimination. Bethany has taken care of us a couple of times and is super helpful. Food is always delicious. (Allow ample time to find parking.)

I hadn't been to Ambrosia for years. Of course it is in a new location now and still family run. It was so good. Went for my Birthday. I want to go back soon. Definitely Old style..loved it. It's also great to have parking.

Phenomenal first time experience. Privately owned family restraunt, with a fair amount of history in Broad Ripple. Very friendly and accommodating staff (paritally spilled a cocktail and they got me a smaller version to compensate). My dad got the monkfish (and got a massive slab of it) on top of a bed of what appeared to be block of lightly fried risotto). I got the linguini de Cambria(?), which was a simple but slightly spicy pasta dish. We tried the affogato it was fun and tasty (think of a root beer float, but with espresso and vanilla ice cream). Overall 10/10, would highly recommend multiple visits to try out the menu (reasonably affordable, most entree items $20-35).

This place was so chill. I ate all my food and had desert. The food was amazing and fresh! I have been wanting to go for some time but I took my mother for mother's day and it was nice. She is picky and so is my daughter but it was delish. It is on the high end of the culinary scale so a little pricey but well worth every penny.

Ambrosia has turned into one of my favorite restaurants to stop and grab Pasta. The environment is very calm and laid back. Service has been phenomenal and everything that I’ve eaten has been fantastic. I have recommended this restaurant to Family, friends and many business associates. Next time you’re looking for somewhere to get Italian don’t hesitate just go!

I've been wanting to try this place forever! I'm so glad we finally went and I already can't wait to return and try more things. Service was great and she gave excellent recommendations. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy. A must try

We sat on the patio which was perfect on a Friday night. We had reservations but it wasn't too busy. We had cocktails, wine, arancini, spinach ravioli, spaghetti with shrimp, and tiramisu and everything was fantastic! My personal favorite was the appetizer. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. Overall, a great experience!

Went for Devour. Menu has decent variety. Fantastic wine and cocktail selection. Simple, wonderful, first and second courses. Beautiful seafood preparation. Great vegetarian options (mushroom ravioli was legit). Desert was solid. We each had one cocktail...it took nearly an hour after our meal to finish and we are not slackers when it comes to the drink. They were just that good that they deserved to be savored. The staff never rushed us and gave us plenty of advice and recommendations.

Our son and daughter in law had their wedding dinner here. Bethany, our server, went above and beyond the entire evening! The food, atmosphere, and drinks exceeded our expectations. The entire staff was very accommodating. We couldn’t have asked for a more pleasurable experience to celebrate the newlyweds!

I loved the Industrial interior, with exposed ceiling and pipes. They had a wonderful fireplace. The food was absolutely amazing. I ordered some type of spaghetti with shrimp, expecting it to be just spaghetti with shrimp, but it was so much more than that. The sauce was creamy, and didn't have the tangy tomato flavor that I was expecting. My friend had the best lasagna I've ever tasted. I would absolutely recommend Ambrosia to anyone, and I can't wait to go back.

It's a very romantic place for a date night. The servers and receptionist greeted us kindly, gave good suggestions on cocktails. The cocktails are lovely. Food is given in good portions, very tasty and wholesome. Had a good time here. Loved the vibe of the place. One of the best Italian restaurants in Indy.

Unlike in many other restaurants, in Ambrosia, the food is prepared by a Professional who definitely has his great taste and is not afraid to offer something different to his guests. The place is not big, but it has subtle elegance and a warm atmosphere. No loud music is very pleasant too.

My fiancé and I went tonight for my birthday dinner and it was amazing! David was our waiter and everything that he recommended from drinks to entrees were spot on. We’ll definitely be back as well as tell others about our great experience and food!

We've done 3 birthdays in a row here and absolutely can't get enough of the place the Pizzi family have made a home. The food is perfectly traditional, though the chef often gets experimental with specials, and they are delicious. The wine menu is extensive, the drinks are wonderful, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and no other traditional Italian place in Indy holds a candle. Get the bolognese. You won't regret it.

Ambrosia is such a gem - ambience is 10/10, it feels romantic but comfortable, not uptight but still classy. Carlos was our server - he had wonderful recommendations & an effortless rapport; he was both attentive and knowledgeable. Ambrosia is a 10/10 on every level and we had a wonderful night, thank you to the whole staff!

What a great Italian restaurant! Starting with interior, to menu, to food, to awesome servers - everything was perfect. Pasta definitely tastes like it is home made (a la IL Corvo in Seattle) which is amazing and we will be definitely coming back again! Also, their Tiramisu is fantastic!

I've been looking for a new Lasagna place ever since Bravo went out of business. I'd definitely recommend Ambrosia. Got the lasagna, and it was great! Loved the red meat sauce! Also, the beet salad, and that too was fantastic. Oh, and the bread they served was also great.

This is the best Italian cuisine. I've never had anything bad. The service is top tier, but not in a stuffy way. Our server was patient, had fun and kept our evening special for my husband's family birthday dinner. We started with the grilled octopus, calamari, arancini and a goat cheese Appetizer. They were all phenomenal. We ordered tortellini, NY strip, Carbonara and Rigatoni. All of us were blown away. My carbonara had crispy pancetta and the sauce was so creamy. I don't know why we don't come here more often. It truly is one of our favorite places. They make you feel so special and taken care of.

Amazing experience. The food is always impressive. The prosciutto wrapped shrimp, the spaghetti with lemon and shrimp, the swordfish special perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Every entree was beautifully executed and delicious. The desserts are amazing. The bar, and wine list are exceptional. Very high marks. Will definitely return.

One of the best italian restaurants around! The place is super clean and cozy, the servers were super helpful and well trained. Great selection of wines, from classic cabernet to super tuscans. Id eat there every day if I could. The menu is extensive, but enough. Not overpowering, but tasty and pleasant. Parking can be a challenge, but its worth it! Besides, its a good walk.

Absolutely delicious! I had the Ravioli Della Mamma and it was amazing! The Moscato and the Pinot Noir, as well as the Tiramisu are superb as well! I would definitely suggest making a reservation. We didn't have one and the next available table was at 8:30. But we sat at the bar and the service was just as amazing! Will definitely be back (with a reservation)!

Have lived in the Broad Ripple area for a little over a year and finally got to try this spot for Devour Indy. It’s a fantastic up scale homemade Italian restaurant. We had great service from our waiter, David, who was very knowledgable about the menu and restaurant history. The wine and cocktail list is extensive. For the appetizer I was blown away by the meatballs. The sauce was just amazing. Seriously. The grilled baby artichokes were very tasty as well. The Burrata salad was super refreshing! The farm fresh burrata cheese topped with balsamic went perfect with the cherry tomatoes and arugula. For the main course, I had the mushroom ravioli alla vodka sauce. It included portobello, shiitake, and crimini mushrooms. Very delicious! Save room for dessert though! We had both the vanilla & cherry gelato as well as the vanilla cheesecake. This was our top place to try for Devour this year and it lived up to the hype. The only con I can think of is that it’s a little expensive. Reserving this restaurant for more special occasions. But the food is outstanding!

I have been to a few authentic Italian restaurants , and I have to say this ranks way up there!! Everything about it is amazing and romantic, it has a soft atmosphere. The complementary oil that came with the bread was so amazing and garlicky that it did not need cheese to go in it!! Even the house salad what is bursting with herbs and flavor!! Our waiter Dave was amazing, nice, friendly and professional 🥰

this place brings such amazing food that is truly so tasty and feels like there was love put into every dish-- but what really stands out at the end of the night is the amazing service and ambience that they create... date nights, weekday nights, anniversaries, any occasion fits the bill at this beautiful restaurant

One of the best meals and dining experiences of my life, and hands down the best place I’ve eaten at in Indy yet. Everything from the cocktail I had with our bruschetta and meatballs appetizers to the rich, smooth tiramisu was literal perfection. While I had the fettuccine alfredo, my partner had the branzino and my god if that wasn’t the most delicious fish I’ve ever tasted. All the food and wine was incredible, and the service was exceptional — our waiter was friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. Every aspect of this place deserves more than 5 stars, and I can’t wait to dine here again.

Excellent food and service! Very authentic family recipes! Not thrilled with the automatic tip charge of 20% added to the total , then taxed on the tip? (TIPS : “to insure proper service”) Fortunately, amazing experience & was obliged to leave an additional 20% cash tip. Aside from the automatic tipping anomaly that isn’t disclosed up front….highly recommend; if there is an issue with the service, have the auto 20% removed from your check as a “breach of contract “.

Upscale dining, exquisite flavors and exceptional service. The pesto sauce on my ravioli was perfection. Reservations are recommended, but we had no trouble finding an open table for an early dinner on Tuesday. If you prefer an intimate, fine dining experience, you will enjoy this restaurant.

This place does it right. Family owned for I think 2 generations. Excellent service, great atmosphere, and amazing food that doesn't break the bank. We had appetizer, 2 entrees, drinks, and dessert for under $100 (before tip). Really can't give enough praise here but we will definitely be visiting again.

We found this little gem on Google and booked online for 7 people. We were coming from up near Chicago and our friends / family were coming from Cincinnati so it was central to us all. The food was on point and the service was excellent. It was family friendly and the prices we on average for a larger city. For an older couple like my wife and I it was a little dark but everyone agree the ambiance was superb. Our waiter was a great guy and how he remembered all the orders with out messing us just left us speechless. He was training a new waitress and she was great as well. It was just a fantastic place. There is some parking so you have to look around for a good spot. I'd give this little gem a 9.5 out of 10 as you always encourage places to improve. We liked Ambrosia so much that it will become our meeting spot for our Friends / family in our two states to meet and have dinner. Just Absolutely Wonderful.

This is a beautiful restaurant, perfect for a date night. There are a few vegetarian options. We got Carciofi, i.e. Grilled Baby Artichokes. It was delicious. We also got the special pasta substituting the meat for mushrooms. That was one of the best Pastas I have had in Indy. Totally Recommend this place for a perfect evening.

I honestly don’t know where to begin! They have so many dope views (outside and inside) it’s amazing. From the covered patio to the uncovered outdoor lounge area with the fire pit, to the inside chic bar area to the private room, to the fireplace are, to the closed off semi private area I mean…you can have a different vibe every time you come for a full season! No matter what view you have though the food is WWE slammin! I couldn’t decide what I loved best so I chose the best of both worlds lasagna and chef..omg I could hug you right now. The artichoke appetizer have you thinking about them a few days later and the peach sorbet..drool..to see the review you know what to do @travelingfoodieguyde

OMG, i have been living in this area for almost 14 years and never been to the Italian Food Paradise. The food and the servise is Just amazing. Every one cares about “what you want and how make you feel better”. They go above and beyond to make customer happy. The owner of this place is down to earth and makes sure everyone is enjoying. We had to substitute our pasta from clams to shrimps, the pasta sause was tricky so they made pesto pasta but at same time they made sure the person who could eat clams was given “to go pasts with clams” this kind of service is unheard of or I must agree I have not seen any where. The deserts were just amazing, I can promise I have never had better Tiramisu and for that matter Cheese cake any where else. Best part is they truely care about their customers and that makes the Best Italian place. You guys are awesome and keep it up.

Carlos was amazing! I had the butter cake and sherbert! And my friend had the cheese cake I know it's strange but we came out for desert. It was an amazing place. The music is a vibe and it's a place to visit........ I will return at a later time to indulge in a meal.

Have been eyeing this restaurant for a while and finally went for devour. I was not disappointed! We had four courses and all were incredibly flavorful and delicious. Our server was attentive but not over baring, and offered his own suggestions. They did not rush our food out and allowed us to take our time. Which you will want to savor the food, especially those meatballs! Will definitely be back here.

The scallops were the most delicious I've ever had! Spinach too! My date had the swordfish which kinda surprised me since she said that's typically a tough meat. She said the way the chefs made it, it was tender and delicious! The only thing I did not like (nor) understand was, WHY did they seat us back in the little room next to a (loud) party of nine WHEN the main dining room was nearly empty!?? We had to nearly yell at each other just to have a conversation. Definitely will be going back but if on date night (I don't care if I have to wait an extra week to make a reservation) I am not going to be seated in that little room.

Delicious food and loved our server! Very much enjoyed and liked the overall atmosphere. Nice wine list, too. Only complaint is that those tables are so so so so close together! We couldn't even sit down until the server at next table was done talking to his table. No room to move. Our server, who was extremely slender, couldn't get around or table. Other than this issue can recommend as great place for Italian food and nice evening out.

Mason M (Mason)

I’ve been coming here 2–3 times a year for many years now, and the experience has been consistently excellent. The arancini are fantastic—the acidity of the red sauce brings a much-needed balance and really makes the dish shine. The drinks are also quite strong, which is a nice bonus. I’ve tried most of the menu at this point, and honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything. The only issue I’ve ever had across all my visits was a fish dish that wasn’t fully deboned and had a few bones left. It wasn’t a big deal, but it did stand out simply because it’s outside the high standard I’ve come to expect from this place. Parking can be a bit challenging. There’s a small lot in the back, but it’s usually full, so street parking out front is typically your best bet. Outdoor seating is available, and during dinner hours the atmosphere is moderately lively—loud enough to feel energetic, but still easy to hold a conversation.

Went here for a fancy date night and the venue did not disappoint. The food was delicious (we got a pesto flatbread appetizer, the Chicken Parmesan and the Salmon for the main course, and shared an affogato for dessert). Everything was amazing and the portion sizes were generous. The staff was extremely friendly, we had McKenna and she was a rockstar, even offering to take a photo of us with some of the Christmas decor they had up. Inside felt cozy and comfortable. The only note I have on the atmosphere is the lighting dimmed partway through the evening and there was one jarring music transition which changed the mood and volume quite a bit. Otherwise the volume was great for conversation.

Can't recommemd this place enough. I had the Halibut and I can't believe how fresh it was and how perfectly it was cooked. I also recommend the Steak Bruschetta. Service was top notch and they have a great wine selection. Perfect date night spot. We'll definitely be back soon!

We went here before seeing Taylor Tomlinson's 930 pm show at Clowes Memorial Hall at Butler. We had plenty of time to enjoy dinner so we started with drinks and appetizers. The calamari was as expected, your typical calamari perfectly fried, crispy and tender. The steak and mushroom bruchetta was different and delicious. My husband got the shrimp linguine and I got the halibut. Both were perfectly cooked. And a very generous piece of halibut. My pesto risotto was a little under seasoned, but I would rather it under than over. I would like to see parmesan freshly grated at the table, but our server carried a bowl with a spoon to sprinkle parmesan over our plates. And my husband and I declined as you don't usually put parm over seafood. But after tasting my risotto, I asked for some parm on the side to add to the risotto to bring up the salt level. It worked perfectly. The service was attentive and efficient. The restaurant was busy but we never had to wait. We ordered dessert and the tiramisu was phenomenal, as was the chocolate ball - I forget the name. 😁 This is a gem of a restaurant and convenient for shows at Butler. We plan on returning.

My boyfriend and I chose Ambrosia based on the reviews. We tried the bacon rack, Cesar salad, signature fillet, cowboy ribeye, Mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, molten lava cake, and crème brûlée. The filet was like butter. Hands down the most tender filet I’ve tried. The cowboy ribeye was a little chewy, but not enough to really complain about since everything else was fantastic. Courtney was our waitress and her service was top notch. I felt like she went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Florida!

The staff was so kind, the food was amazing! The calamari was so good, I recommend that for an appetizer. They bees signs on the doors, many people ended up walking through the back of the restaurant instead of the front. It was a little nosey and hard to have conversation with the people at the table. But over all a great experience.

First time visitor to Ambrosia. We had a reservation recently so obviously we got in on time. Our waitress was super nice, introduced us to the menu, gave us some time. Apps wise, I tried out the Calamari and the meatballs. I gotta tell ya, I’ve tried Calamari from many different places but Ambrosia is now up there with some of the better Calamari I’ve eaten! The meatballs were also delish. I got the Chicken Parmesan as my entree. It was pretty decent. It may not look like much in the photo, but it was pretty filling! Overall, this was a great experience. Definitely gonna make it back here again sometime.

Nice Italian restaurant with a well-appointed outdoor dining area. Ambrosia is right on College Avenue, making it easily accessible but also a little on the busy/noisy side. The owners have done a nice job of creating a patio with shelter and shade. Good cocktails, nice menu with many options. We especially enjoyed the variety of bruschettas and pasta offerings. Shout out to our server, Mia, who did an excellent job of answering our questions and getting our orders out - we arrived late, about an hour before the kitchen closed, and did not feel rushed. Thanks, Mia, for your friendly and attentive service!

Reasonable prices (though we didn't order alcohol). Tasty food. Not the best I've ever had, but pretty good for Indiana. The table we got was the worst in the house, but we didn't get a reservation, so live and learn. Should have done the patio seating. Will be back when it's convenient.

I was really impressed by the food as well as the atmosphere. I felt that this is a really quiet, cozy, and romantic restrauant. I had a dinner on the patio one evening and it was really relaxing. Perfect for a date night. It was pretty crowd, but everyone was in their own little world and I think that really just says how cozy the place truly is. The food was very delicious and I look forward to visit this lovely spot again.

Came in for dinner with a reservation for 5:30 on a Saturday. We were seated at a low top table in the bar area which was nice and open. We ordered an old fashioned and a glass of non alcoholic sparkling wine, the old fashioned was well made and both drinks were good. We had the Bruschetta, Spaghetti con Limon, and Tortellini alla Panna. The bruschetta was a little soggy/bland but the pasta dishes were both excellent. Staff was very kind and out food came out quickly. Overall we enjoyed our meal.

First time visiting as a big group of 7 and Bethany, our server, took good and timely care of us. For drinks we ordered a phony Negroni and Old fashioned and they were decent. The phony Negroni was not housemade but rather a bottled one. As for the entrees , my shrimp gamberi dish was quite tasty - spicy, tomato-y! Was a bit odd to see the shrimps were 3/4th size only with their tails just snipped off. Wish that hadn’t been the case, but taste was good. My husband had their special feature of tuna, which sounded good and was a very pricey dish, but was honestly underwhelming. My son mentioned his lasagna was just okay. So when it came to the entrees, nothing made us swoon, especially for the price point. We ordered desserts to share and the kids chose the Bourbon butter cake & chocolate cake. Their desserts are huge and decadent but very tasty! Overall it was meh for such pricey food.

The atmosphere was great. Loved the darker settings and the music. The service was outstanding both the waitress and the bus boy were on top of it. The food left something to be desired. It was nice to hear that there are different specials. The food was not bad, but there are other restaurants out there that offer more food at a lower price. If you are in the Broad Ripple area and need a place to get a nice Italian meal, this is the place to go.

The fettuccine bolognese was great. We added a serving of meatballs to increase the protein. The ceasar salad was wonderful. Ava was awesome. My husband liked it so much he wants to eat here twice a month

This is my second time here. Both times, the service and ambiance were great. However, I preferred my food the first time around much more than this one. With that said, everyone in my party loved their dishes and cleaned their plates. If I return, I’ll definitely have the dish I had first visit.

My Pollo Marsala was great. The fried calamari & caesar salad was great as well. My fiance wasn't a fan of the Shrimp Alfredo. He says it lacked flavor. But we will definitely be back to try more. Loved our waitress & the laid back atmosphere. Great experience!

No lot parking was available but restaurant wasn't that crowded, however. moderately loud. Waiter offered a special, then brought out something different, wasnt all that...., but comped us an after dinner drink each. It was alright, but not 5star. Waiter was cool and attentive, not his fault the kitchen didn't have the right special; he explained, I accepted, but the food wasn't that great. They should ask how you want your steak, it was medium, not well enough. Kinda pricey for moderate food. They deserve a strong 4 though.

4.5 Stars: I'm really happy we tried this place on a whim when we happened to be in the area. Wonderful atmosphere and the service was great. Feels like a family owned restaurant, which I love. The food was good, but it didn't really blow me away. We will definitely be back and try some other dishes.

We almost turned around and walked out before we were even seated because the host was incredibly rude. When we entered the restaurant, he began to speak and I thought he was on the phone. To our surprise, he was asking us questions while facing the opposite direction and staring at a screen. His attitude didn't get any better as he sat us at our table. Thankfully our experience improved. Our waiter was helpful and pleasant and the food was good. I may return if a group of friends or family wanted to dine here, but I don't think it's a good dining choice for a date. They try to create some ambiance with low lighting and a fireplace; however the tables are on top of each other in a large open room. Not a very intimate setting.

Food was great, but waiting 10 mins to then be sat in the private event area even though we had a reservation for the main room and then having to wait over 15 mins to get water, and another 15 to get some bread is too much. I loved the food but the service and timing was so slow I wouldn’t come back unless I had a solid 3 hours to kill.

NOT a good experience! Nothing like in the past. Not sure what’s going on but the sec ire was awful!!! Restaurant was not busy at all but our server was NOT attentive, very forgivable, we just sat there many times. Then she tried to take our food, while we were eating! Never came back, forgot our drinks. Something was off. The food was just ok. My chicken Marcella was very bland. Kinda like the water from the streamed veggie took over the plate. Not sure, just OK, nothing special. Nothing was said about my daughter in laws birthday. Not a fun dinner!

This was a very nice, small restaurant. However, I think the comments gave me an idea of something a bit more fancy and romantic for taking my husband to for our anniversary. Walking up from the parking lot in the back, we were not sure if the door attached to the patio dining area (very chill and nice vibe area) was the front door or not, it was. Not very clear when walking up. When making our reservation (they use open table), it asked for event, which I put anniversary, and special requests, which I requested 2 glasses of a house red at the table when we got there; trying to set a romantic and special vibe for us. When we entered, the lady at the front was on the phone but did not take long to get off to seat us. Typically when I make special reservation requests, I would be greeted with something like, happy birthday or right this way, Chad. It was a very generic seating experience, and to my surprise, was seated at an empty table with no wine. :( When we were seated, we both ended up ordering an old fashion. I must say, the old fashion was very good, props to the bartender who made that. The dining area seemed very bright for the type of vibe I had thought Ambrosia was giving off. The nice lady who was our server seemed nervous or new, but was very sweet. We started off with the Arancini. The plate looked very appealing. The risotto was a bit grainy (not as tender as risotto should be) and the sauce was good, but added purely for a plating element it seemed, rather than enough to compliment the dish. I would use just a bit more sauce to set the balls on to not take away from the plating element of the dish, but still give enough sauce to make the dish enjoyable. I then ordered 2 oysters, one of each kind they had. They were very small, and came with just cocktail sauce. I think a wedge of lemon and maybe some very finely chopped fried shallots would have been better options to compliment the natural oyster flavor. The amount of sauce give with these two, tiny oysters was about 2-3 tablespoons, almost filling the ramekin it came in. So way too much for fresh oysters, and way too little for the Arancini. Next, we ordered our main dishes. I ordered the Ravioli della mama. The server asked if I would like some wine with my main dish, and I said yes. I asked for something that would pair well with the dish. I already had ideas of what would pair well, but I always try to take the house’s advice. She asked red or white, I told her typically red, but what ever pairs best with the dish (spinach ravioli with a creamy pesto). She recommended the Super Tuscan, a red blend, more on the heavy red side, typically I would have this with more of steak or a red sauce based pasta. I went with her recommendation. My husband ordered the spaghetti con Limon. The server brought some bread to the table after taking our order. Not sure if it is supposed to come after the starters or not, but was a nice surprise. The bread was amazing! With some of the olive oil on top, fantastic. The server brought our food shortly after. The food looked good. We were offered grated Parmesan, which was not freshly grated in front of us, but came in a little bowl and a spoon that the server used to sprinkle on our plates with. There was no freshly ground black pepper offered either. The food was pleasant. My raviolis and a nice sauce, and the noodle itself had a good texture. My husband’s plate was also good, I would had liked to seen a bit more lemon in the flavor, however, it wasn’t my dish and he enjoyed it; so that’s what counts. After finishing the main course, we took some home. We were handed Togo boxes, which at a nice restaurant, I was surprised that they did not box our plates for us. So we boxed our food, skipped on dessert, since for the price, it was sub par. We try to visit local restaurants to support small businesses and you typically get better quality food than at chains. I’m this case, we thought we may have had a better experience at one of the nicer Italian chains. Overall, it was a good experience, just not amazing.

Service was fantastic! Food not so much. Music was loud. A little heavy handed with the rosemary on the lamb. The octopus was fishy and it seemed they tried covering it up with chili powder. Ice cream wasn't that great either. Mocktail was decent.

We visited on a Tuesday at 6pm and there was no posting, nothing on the internet, etc saying they were closed. We were there within the hours. Not sure what happened but we would’ve liked some sorta notice that they’d be closed for the day. Ended up at at a different Italian restaurant for the night.

This is a tough review for me to write. The food is always fantastic. Service is good. Setting is good. But tonight we went with a party of 8. I'm giving 2 stars for ambiance because there's no section for "Business Relations". I understand & agree with an automatic gratuity being added to larger groups. But THIRTY PERCENT being added to our bill? That's insane. 30%!? I will never come back with a large group again.

Great service. I wasn't a fan of the food or dessert. Pricey and 20% gratuity automatically added. They had a really good mocktail. We took advantage of the devour menu. There was parking in the back.

Unfortunately once we were seated, it was almost like we were invisible. A group of 4 of us. Never asked if we wanted appetizers. Very inexperienced waitress. Forgot to ask how well done to cook a steak, then also forgot to bring a steak knife. Service was slow the entire time, with us having to wave down a waiter/waitress and let them know we had ordered and were waiting on a drink about 20 minutes prior. Drinks were inaccurate, missing limes. It was not busy. Only about half capacity. Good tasting food but for that price the service needs to greatly improve.

New to the area and heard good things, but when we arrived and sat at the bar waiting for our table, we were told by a very Rude assist general Mgr that the 4 seats at the bar were reserved for a group that comes every Friday. We were not told nicely, but 'You Have to get up!' Then when he was addressed about being so rude, he told us in a very loud and nasty voice to LEAVE and Cancel our Reservation!!! NEVER will I return to this resturant and will make sure no one in my company ever goes to this establishment. Guess they think that existing customers alone will keep them in business!!

We were hosting friends from out of town and chose Ambrosia. We walked in a few minutes before 5:00 and proceeded to take 3 seats at the bar, waiting for our 4th person to join us. We were told that we could not sit at the bar because some Friday night regulars would be sitting in the seats we chose. I proceeded to the hostess station to ask for our table reservation that was for 5:30. We understand that we were early but there were a few others sitting down and we would have been patient and waited for the restaurant to open. My husband questioned the bartender and said we had never been told we couldn’t sit down and the bartender/assistant general manager told the hostess to cancel our reservation and that we needed to leave. We were not even given the option to sit at a table away from the bar. We are business owners, long time generous customers of Ambrosia and have a very healthy understanding of customer service. We also have connections with the family/owners. Not only was this embarrassing to our guests, we will never return. There is no place for a manager of any level to have a bad attitude with a guest that came to spend money for four meals and good wine. Your assistant general manager has a problem that is costing you loyal customers.

The gnocchi was mush with no fresh mozzarella on top, the pasta was mush not even al dente and the shrimp did not seem fresh. Mussels were fine. This is supposed to be an Italian restaurant but it was hard for me to believe if anything seemed made fresh, in my opinion the price for it just doesn’t seem correct for the quality and size.

We were so excited to visit this place on a date night. We had heard great things from multiple people. Unfortunately once we were seated, it was almost like we were invisible. Service was slow the entire time, with us having to wave down a waiter/waitress and let them know we had ordered and were waiting on a drink about 15 minutes prior. We received drinks about 45 minutes in and then finally ordered food. Bread was thankfully delivered after that, and our orders arrived about 90 minutes after being seated. We were honestly confused. The food was fine, nothing much above what you might make at home. Unfortunately we won’t be back to this local spot we had such high hopes for.

Sadly: NEVER AGAIN. I’ve taken our family out to wonderful dinners here, but Saturday 12/27 was the last time. Waited 10min after reservation time for a table. Got our entrees 1hr20min after being seated. Our server kept saying, “Your food is coming right out.” Tables seated 1/2hr after us, same server, got served 1/2hr before us. Ordered wine with dinner. Had wine then an hour later dinner. Walked our toddler around restaurant 5x to keep him occupied as we waited forever. Didn’t dare order dessert and wait an eternity for that, too. AMBROSIA: You could have pretended to care. Free mini bowls of pasta at 1hr mark to tide us over? OR dessert on the house to take home? OR knock $50 off the $301 bill? Nothing. Full price check and “Sorry, there was a mixup in the kitchen.” Unforgivable. I can’t give you the chance to ruin my family’s evening again.
