The owners and staff could not be nicer. Even though the space is large it can get packed, so a reservation is suggested. The menu is massive and everything was great. It is a little pricey, but it’s worth it to indulge.

What a treat! The desserts are so yummy, surprisingly not overly sweet or rich. The portions are generous and great for sharing. We’ll definitely be back!

everything we had was delicious. we love the fact that the managers or owners checked up on us to make sure everything was ok, you don’t see that in the food industry anymore and I’m glad your business is an open concept and you’re open to greeting everyone that comes in. we will definitely be back.

The place to be if you are a chocolate lover or have a sweet tooth. Atmosphere can be a little loud with chatter so be prepared. No menus. You scan a QR code at your numbered table if you are sitting inside to eat. Very clean and friendly staff.

As a chocolate lover, i highly recommend this place. I went there with my friends many times and the service was great! They have a variety of items in their menu, i tried many of them and my favorite was the kunafa crepe! 😍

Was able to make a reservation for the day after the soft opening. I had the Kanafa Crepe, Fruit Pizza, and Saffron Milk Cake. The desserts were rich and full of flavor, but not overly sweet. The atmosphere was very classy and featured their products well. Service was exceptionally intentional. Rick stopped by multiple times to check on our table. Rick was the hightlight of our visit. He gave us a quick tour of the shop and a talk about the origin of their products. They bake their pastries multiple times throughout the day. He treated everyone like family. I'll definitely be visiting again soon.

Come with time on the weekends or make a reservation for a table, it is totally worth your time. Please, enjoy the perfect confections and menu. Take your time!

I’m looking at the other reviews but went on MLK. We didn’t see any sign for seating so we sat ourselves and someone from the counter gave us a menu. There was truly no wait. I will preference I did order online. I would go again! Also was with a friend and we both had kids and they had high chairs which was great!

I’ve been there three times already ever since they opened and not once did they disappoint the staff is very very friendly. The Desert is on the chocolate is very rich and flavorful and everyone is extremely nice.

The food was 5/5, and the service was also 5/5. The staff were very nice and helpful. It was raining, and even though all the tables were reserved, they still made space for us, which I really appreciated. They even re-ordered our food for free, which was very kind of them. The place was very comfortable, and the atmosphere was great. I would totally recommend this restaurant.

This was my 1st visit it was a really good and delicious place to come I didn't know had to make a reservation to be seated faster but as a walk in I was seated within 15 mins and it was a VERY busy night. This place is good for all group sizes and they definitely have great customer service. Im not a chocolate person but their chocolate was delightful they have dark, white and milk chocolate dont be shocked or upset about the price it is NOT as cheap as you think for dessert but worth the purchase, they definitely serve good portions and definitely gets your money's worth. Seriously though if your a chocolate lover your going to find yourself going to the chocolate bar more often then not going. But dont forget i told you so lol, ENJOY everyone

Went here recently for a girls night out. We had reservations because there were 9 of us. We all got different things (food and drinks) and everything was delicious! The staff was incredible too!

I had a really nice experience at this restaurant. The food was 5/5, and the service was also 5/5. The staff were kind and caring, and they made us feel welcome. It was raining, and even though the tables were reserved, they still made space for us. That meant a lot and showed how much they care about their customers. They also re-ordered our food for free, which was very generous.

This was my second time there. It was great this time as was last time but last time was during the soft opening and everyone was there and it was so busy. This time we did make reservations again but got right in ordered our deserts. Had one of the hamburgers, cookies, and the banana roll. All delicious! My wife had a mango tea and she said it was good. Definitely was nice and fun for a date night with the wife. If you haven't tried definitely go. Most items you can share. We could finish our items we just wanted to try different things.

My daughter and I went on Sunday and loved it! I think that most of the reviews that are low in ratings are because they didn’t notice that reservations were highly recommended which is expected for a soft opening. The portions were a good size, the food was excellent and not too sweet or rich and the service was great! I want to thank the gentleman that gave my daughter a special treat. We will definitely be back again and again:)

A Great Experience ! We had a wonderful time .We tried the creamy cookie, Lotus waffle, and chocolate crêpe, along with hot chocolate and cappuccino—everything was absolutely delicious and rich in flavor. The décor is beautiful with really nice vibes, making it a great place to relax and enjoy dessert. The place was busy, yet the service was still very good—staff were attentive, organized, and professional. Everything was neat and clean, which made the experience even better. Overall, a fantastic experience and definitely worth visiting again!

We went to Chocolate Bar with my grandchildren and we absolutely loved it. The place is spectacular, very clean and well taken care of. The dishes are not only delicious, but also beautifully presented — perfect for both kids and adults. My grandchildren were fascinated. We will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely delicious desserts and hot chocolate. We ordered 3 different things and there are still so many I will go back to try. Very friendly staff. A great addition to Jacksonville.

The desserts were amazing. The place was very busy when we walked in, but the owner and employees went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and let us stay past their closing time. The pistachio roll is a must try. They gave us samples of the ice cream and they were all rich and creamy. The cheesecake was my favorite.

They didn't have a table for our reservation, and the host Ricky took care of us all, made sure we had everything we needed and more. He was the best host we have ever experienced. This place is the best for Chocolate desserts!!!!!! Better than Disney!!!

Absolutely delicious! Great location. They have not officially opened yet, so not all menu items are available. There are too many delicious options to choose from, so we ordered several and shared. Pictures are labeled. Not pictured: Honey Baklava Cheesecake (an acquired taste). Best to make a reservation, as it was very busy the whole time we were there.

Went here on a recommendation from a friend. The desserts were absolutely delicious and worth coming back for. Service, left something to be desired. I made a reservation after looking the place up and reading a bit about it, but it seems kind of pointless to do so if anyone can come in and sit anywhere they want and order from the QR code on the table like a cafe or casual airport restaurant. This may not be the case all the time I guess when it's not super busy? The place gives a pricey-but-worth-it ambiance, but service was serving borderline casual fast food with minimal customer interaction. We were confused about what to do there as it was our first time. I had to go find and approach staff that was just standing on the customer side of the counter and ask what to do since we made a reservation. Now I'm not saying they should yell across the room to greet a customer, but staff looked at us but didn't say anything nor smile. Not sure if it's because we came in from the Foxtail side and couldn't see the register or what. The first staff member we encountered spoke way too softly for a place with a blender running on and off with the general music and chatter of the restaurant. Their facial expressions looked like they did not want to be there and I felt like a geriatric that was hard of hearing trying to listen to them speak. Second staff member was much more engaging and pleasant. They made our visit a better experience that makes me want to recommend the place when they're past the soft opening phase.

Loads of dessert to choose from. Highly recommend reservations as they were very busy. Everything was tasty. Was expecting the brownie pouch to be served warm but it was cold. It would of made it our number one dessert if it was warm and gooey like their crepes. The caramel waffles were good. Really enjoyed the butter cookie crunch on it.

I recently visited The Chocolate Bar after making a reservation through OpenTable. While the restaurant posted on social media about transitioning to OpenTable, there’s nothing on their website directing you there, so I only knew what to do because I happened to see the post beforehand. When we arrived, it wasn’t clear how check-in worked. I walked up to the register and waited to be acknowledged. Thankfully, a man I assume was the manager noticed us, checked us in, and seated us at table 8. We were told to scan the QR code at the table for the menu and place our order that way. The menu is extensive, and once we ordered, the food came out quickly. That said, my friend really did not care for ordering via QR code. She prefers not to order on her phone, and honestly, I don’t blame her. We’re already staring at screens all day, and dining out feels like it should be a break from that. I will say that they were out of several items, so ordering digitally did at least prevent us from selecting something only to find out later it wasn’t available. Unfortunately, the service when the food arrived was disappointing. The young man who delivered the food set the plates down abruptly and hurried away. He did return with silverware, but we had to ask for plates since we were sharing. The food was served on beautiful branded plates, but the additional plates provided were small, disposable plastic plates. It felt like a bit of a misalignment given the otherwise polished presentation. One additional note: my friend wanted a hot mocha, but the menu only offered an iced mocha. That felt surprising for a chocolate-focused café. We ordered both the milk chocolate and dark chocolate hot chocolates, and they were absolutely divine. I’ve seen comments saying the chocolate isn’t sweet, but the sweetness level felt typical to me. There is a self-serve water station, which is appreciated and saves you from paying for bottled water. That said, the overall experience feels mismatched. The ambiance is upscale, yet you order via QR code, get your own water, and there’s no traditional table service. I do want to note that they are still in their soft opening phase, so some growing pains are to be expected. Despite the service inconsistencies, the food and hot chocolate were truly delicious. If you’ve ever been to Poland, the flavors reminded me of the famous E. Wedel chocolate cafés. This place has a lot of potential. With clearer communication around reservations and a bit more attention to service and hospitality, the experience could easily match the quality of the food.

Went with friends. I ordered Rise crepe I could use bit more filling of custard but over all it was good . I was able to sample what my friends ordered, and I know what I will order next visit.

the milk cake was really good - saffron flavoring, except the frosting was a bit odd combination. kunafa crepe was amazing! loved the texture and flavor fruit pizza was not that good, i wish it was crispier and the taste was missing something? not quite sure what though oreo pan was good

We were greeted shortly after arriving and the host quickly and accurately explained the concept. He cleared us a table quickly as well and we were seated. To our surprise, they were still in a soft opening phase. With that being said, the items we were looking forward to trying were sold out so it was harder to find an option; didn’t want waffles, crepe or pancakes. Ended up with a strawberry milk shake which looked good and tasted good as well. This came out twenty minutes before the brownie bowl. My milkshake was placed in a glass mug while the brownie bowl was placed in a long plastic cup. My girlfriend was really looking forward to experience but was disappointed and does not want to return. I recommend trying but come early so you can select from all the options

I would not come back to this spot nor recommend it to others for a one-time “special treat spot”. The prices being expensive isn’t worth complaining about — it’s a hip “, newer spot with all the fancy touches in advertising, so that’s expected. But what’s not expected is how underwhelming, small, and lacking in taste these desserts are. With a group of 8, we tried a wide variety of options including 3 milkshakes, a crepes platter, a cookie dessert, and a brownie waffle. With each dish being over $20, we were all surprised at the small sizes. Taste wise - it’s no better or no worse than most dessert spots. I expected the chocolate to be rich or bold in taste but I was lacking. Dishes that had ingredients like brownie were served cold rather than warm. Thankfully I had a party of good sports — I wouldn’t be too happy if I was taking someone out there for a special occasion.

This place was absolutely awful! I will not be coming back. Came in and was extremely confused on how to be seated or how the restaurant was ran. Once we got seated we ordered online where you have to pre pay before even receiving your food. We waited for over an hour until I was finally able to tell a server how long we were waiting. To which she stated “oh that takes a while to cook” without even checking. After another 30 minutes we informed her again that people who came in well after us received the same order we had placed. We could hear them talking about missing our order but the server came back and lied saying they messed it up the first time and had to recook it. A manager brought us a $25 gift card but the fondue cake itself was not even good. Definitely not worth the wait or the money. The gift card will be thrown away.

I was so excited to try this place with my kids but it was very disappointing and frustrating. We walked in and felt like we did not exist . It wasn't super busy Monday afternoon. We had to find someone just to ask how to get seated while we watch the manager and employee being so warm to other guests. When we finally got seated, we got ignored. As we watched the tables behind us and people that came in after us being given samples of ice cream delivered to their tables while nobody came to check on us. I for one will not beg for it , it's not about the samples, or getting stuff for free. I can pay for it it's about the unfair treatment and non existent customer service we received. My kids are happy about the food so we didn't say anything to not ruin their dessert. However this is not acceptable. I'm not accusing anything or anyone but we are of Asian decent while everyone else we're not. To be treated like that makes you think that's prolly why. We spend our money on food as it is our hobby, and we've been to a lot of restaurants from every level so we know what a good service is. This is not about speed, it was the feeling of nobody wanted to even serve us. Definitely will not be going back.
